what I do to set fontsizes in css is this html, [class*="heading-md-semibold"], [class*=text], [class*=input_], [class^=topic_], [class^=name_], [class*=item_], [class*=description_] { font-size: 12px !important; }

setting it for html will adjust the majority of all fontsizes in discord, the other elements use relative/inherited values

Having some troubles with installation on Linux - I tried running the regular command and nothing popped up so I tried running the cli installer in the /tmp dir but that returned errors, I could get it to work if I ran the cli in the home dir but it only offered me the option of a custom discord install of which all the options I tried were unable to work. i'm assuming vesktop on linux doesn't have hardware encoding? been doing some testing on my end to try to get it working, and have managed to get audio working finally but whenever i stream a game it's super laggy to the point that it's unwatchable - literally like 1 frame every 5 seconds. and sometimes the screen just blanks out to a static color and then comes back after a while. i have the AUR package installed and i have an rx7800xt

Why does my Discord always crash when opening DevTools?

This is a stock Discord issue. There is nothing we can do

However, here are some solutions that should work:

• Many people have stated that opening devtools while Discord is still loading prevents the crashing
• Devtools work fine in Vencord's custom client, Vesktop, or just your web browser - you can use the Vencord browser extension
• It seems to be an issue exclusive to Windows. You could try switching to Linux

However, as Discord's mobile website has some issues (performance, usability, etc), chances are you won't like it.In that case you will instead want to use one of the following mods focused on Mobile.

What exactly did you try to do?
What did you expect to happen?
What happened instead?
Does this issue always happen, or only sometimes?
If possible, provide steps how to reproduce the issue
If appropriate, provide screenshots or screen recordings

For Vencord issues:

• If you are able to, run the /vencord-debug slash command
• If not, provide the following info:
  • How are you using Vencord? (Discord Desktop, Browser (name your browser!!), Vencord Desktop, ArmCord, ...)
  • What OS are you using?
• Open the DevTools with Ctrl + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and check the console tab for red error messages

For Installer issues:

• What OS are you using?

Yeah sure, basically when I'm in voice chat and I do stuff (like start a game/download files etc) I get disconnected

It's like discord loses connection but I won't even hear the disconnect ping

so if it is minimized I open it again and it seems fine

Everytime I update discord system-wide, I have to

1. uninstall all mods
2. open discord and let it update its modules
3. close discord
4. reinstall vencord

If it fails, I'll delete .config/discord/0.0.* (or %appdata%\Discord\0.0.* I guess) and repeat the procedure

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
