The icon of the program itself was easy to change, as its literally just basic ResourceHacker stuff

but it didnt cover the actual running icon

(the discord on the left is literally the taskbar shortcut for the Vencord EXE, the one on the right is just it opened)

there's the obvious route of compiling the sourcecode from github and editing the icons directly before compiling but was just curious if there was a way to do so that's easier so i dont need to go the harder route xD

hello! i'm attempting to do screenshare with audio on linux mint, and while i'm able to choose an audio source now after getting pipewire installed, which is better than things have been going, my friend says that the only thing she can hear when in my stream is an echo of my microphone, not any of the audio from what i'm trying to share. does anyone know why this might be? my guess is that it might be user error rather than a bug/issue but i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

this is me manually setting my volume output to 100%

this is the volume after I say anything at a normal indoor volume

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

For Vencord issues:

i used to have this issue, i fixed it by deleting (sometimes re-installing) the .asar file and/or folder
