Alr idk you could have a range of things from here. You could have multiple discords, you could have a broken discord install, you could just need to logout and log back into your computer, you could not fully installed Vencord, or none of the above

Seems like Discord is still running in the background. Make sure you close it fully. It will most likely be in your tray, but if not you can use your Task Manager to force close it. After that, you should be able to install Vencord properly.

Hello, first of all I understand what feature request was deprecated and writing this here is mischanelling and shouldn't be answered at all.

But I really think what discord have a really big problem with all images. I talk about shitty bluring and image compression. I download plugin ImageZoom and it's already fix this problem in some way but it's need to be clicked all the time to disable this blur. Now i show examples what i talk about and hope you guys can check this (preferred download all images and check it in photoshop/gimp to see the difference without windows bluring).

the only way to fix this is to load the full image since the media proxy is the one generating the lower res thumbnails, but that also increases bandwidth and client memory usage

this is inherently a bad idea because loading, lets say, a 4k image that is only being rendered on a small portion of a 1080p monitor is relatively resource intensive compared to the 480p thumbnail discord (theoretically, i dont actually know) generates

and honestly with discord's client being as unstable as it is already in terms of memory issues (devtools on canary has a high chance of crashing your client with an out of memory error if you've had the client open for a while, + certain features can cause OOM just because even on vanilla) adding this will increase the chance that people's clients will randomly crash without providing much benefit

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Troubleshooting CustomRPC

• Every time you make a change make sure you reload (ctrl + r)
• Sometimes toggling it off and on again is necessary (and reloading)
• Make sure Settings > Activity Privacy > "Display current activity as a status message" is toggled on

Can you see it and no one else can?

• if you've set a big image and/or a small image you need to fill in their respective tooltip field
• don't add any values to the unix timestamps
• emojis work, some unicode don't. try with just alphanumerics (0-1, A-z) first

Do you not see a preview of your intended RPC in plugin settings?

• Change your image link, the plugin is likely not able to extract the image from it
• links starting with media.discordapp or cdn.discordapp won't work
