normally themes are just links to an actual css file, what you can do is go to that link get the css contents paste directly into open asar theme menu and edit there, or in any text editor

If getting the full disk access error (macOS)

1. Make sure your terminal of choice has full disk access
2. cd into the Vencord installer (cd VencordInstaller.app)
3. Run the following: sudo ./Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller

This runs the installer as sudo, hence granting it permission to access the disk.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Ye, other ppl see my banner with Vencord and my theme, but I don't.

Found the solution. Tried to put friend's settings.json into and it fixed the problem. I'm guessing something is broking my settings when I try to install it. Also funny that I tested to full delete it manually and then Vencord created a new one and problem still was. But when I overwrite it - it fixed. Fkcing magic. If anybody intrested in my prev. json I can put it here to see what can cause the problem

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

It will

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

@shell veldt it seems the linux .deb install doesn't assign an icon to the app, hence there not being a thumbnail/icon in the taskbar. Purged vencord desktop and reinstalled the latest version and still no icon.
