I saw a few days ago that Vencord can be injected into discord-screenaudio as shown by the maintainer here https://github.com/maltejur/discord-screenaudio/issues/59#issuecomment-1275068867 but I have no idea how to do it, Is there a guide or any documentation I can read about this?

In case It matters, discord-screenaudio is just the discord web version wrapped in Chromium with a few extra functionalities added to make screenshare with audio work on both Xorg and Wayland

Hi, I just wanted to know if you could use the themes from better discord with vencord and still have them in another computer that vencord isn't installed in. I tried this with the fake nitro themes, and it did work. But now if I go to another computer or even just go to the browser version of discord it's just the regular discord. Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup
• remove all themes

it was removed because the service was unmoderated and ended up violating vencord's plugin guidelines

This is a very nitpicky issue but on large servers PlatformIndicators doesn't seem to fetch the status of members when you're looking in a channel, at least on ArmCord. You have to click on their profile to show it. Also, you have to hovor over the prior messages to get it to show

I don't know if this is just a fundamental issue of how the web version works

I'll probably look over the code later, since it seems by default the status of people talking in chat isn't obtained on vanilla, but the people in the memberlist already do get their status obtained

In a very large server it might simply not load all the members to save resources

i don't know typescript, but in theory you could make the fetch for everyone whose profile pictures get loaded. i mean, unless if you zoom out times 1000% and don't switch channels every second i don't think someone would get rate limited

if someone new sends a message in chat it won't have their presence yet, but start to fetch. However once the presence is fetched it won't update the message ui because there's no need to in stock discord (this is why hovering a message will make it show, because this updates the message)
