Remove the "Instant replay" window before displaying the killcam, i find it quite clunky how we have to sit through a good 2-3second before we can watch the killcam :(

Congrats on the release, great stuff in there as always and running well on PS5 Pro! Instant Replay is very cool but I think I’d prefer it if it was something one actively chooses to watch - most of the time I prefer to keep an eye on what’s happening in the game, but there are definitely times I want to see the replay. Perhaps pressing a button to opt in to seeing it within a couple of seconds of dying, or something like that?

Bit annoyed the favoritism is going towards Mediums and Heavies on controller other than the whole community of players.

lights gadgets and weapons are really lame compared to the other two.

lights guns are just basically identically playing full autos and fast firing semi autos, with a couple unique ones. heavy has a flame thrower, a sledge hammer, a spinny spear, weird burst shotgun, super revolver, slow minigun, a wall breaking slug shotgun, and a grenade launcher. medium has blocking melees, rifles, flame shotgun, also a grenade launcher.

the gadgets are even worse. 10/16 (minus thermal for now) light gadgets are grenades. no mines, with the only cool thing being gateway, and vanish bomb (both grenades) heavy has rpg, lockbolte, barricades, mines, anti gravity, proximity sensors, a force field, while medium has jump pads, ziplines, also mines, a breach drill, defibs, aps turret, glitch AND proximity sensor, and data reshaper.

the specialties are alright.

playing light is getting more and more stale, as there are little interesting or unique ways to play, light is almost always a close ranger, and the sniper title got taken by medium. if counting gateway, light has 3 movement options. medium has two, and they're both gadgets. light really needs some fresh air to their boring kit.

a speed stim, a stim that starts your health regen, climbing hooks, (give light data reshaper) temporary platforms to stand on, maybe a mini-demat that light can squeeze through, and some sort of cool mine would all help light's situation, and be cool and interesting to use

The new season looks and feels great! Only thing is the instant replay taking up your whole screen, I feel as if it took up the top left corner (with the enemy player card remaining as is) and it having the option to be maximized to fit the entire screen is better so you don’t get taken out of the action. Other than that, yall cooked, can’t wait to see what else yall got in store.

Why is every World Tour match still a massive sweatfest? Can you PLEASE look into the matchmaking for WT. There's no way every single player playing world tour has every Emerald badge and most of the Ruby badges. It feels like I'm playing against the top of the leaderboard for every single match.

It's getting so bad that my teammates are leaving because everyone is getting stomped on.

Yes it's a skill issue, but there's no way there's no one with a similar skill level to me playing the game. I don't have as much time to sink into the game as I did last year, it almost feels like the game is punishing me for being decent at the game when it first came out. It honestly feels like the matchmaking is broken and it only throws me among high ranking players. Queuing often takes way more than a minute, it's almost like the game is actively trying to find the sweatiest tryhards in the game.

The Titan Revolver is the product of if the R.357 and the CB-01 Repeater had a baby and then loaded it up with steroids, and basically made it better in every way. 98 damage a shot is CRAZY for how easy it is to hit those shots. The KS23 gets destroyed by this weapon in every way, despite dealing an extra 2 damage per shot. The 2 damage less than 100 on the Titan only makes it not deal 150 on a headshot, which isn't even possible on the KS. I feel a nerf of the damage to at least below where the repeater is at (88) should be in line. Especially given that the Titan is on the heavy class, and therefore has 100 hp behind it. In no universe should it be better than mediums ranged options.

Titan wins most of the time since it has too many advantages over the very few weaknesses. While the bow is able to deal more damage yes, but you need to charge it. I don't see one for the titan, you just point and click like your only skill you need is experience from call of duty or literally any other fps game, since your Vision now is adding more basic guns.

Embark, love you guys, love your game, but as someone thats been playing since OB, how did you manage to make the gameplay worse than when it was literally still in development? delays, terrible 5 second long intro for "instant" replay that doesnt allow you to type in game chat at the same time (which was good for comms with players that werent in VC when solo Q'ing), gadgets feel clunky and slow, (thought this was supposed to be a fast paced shooter embark dont go the Apex route where they slowed the whole game down) Also, its always L that gets something taken out of the game. they should pull smokes out if theyre not going to have thermal in the game. Agreed thermal was buggy, in a bad way where it didnt work half the time, but not broken, so leave its current state in the game while you fix it. Also, i main L but just ran M to try the p90. that thing is busted. but also, demat rework is hot garbage and should be reverted. STOP NERFING THINGS BECAUSE THEYRE OVER USED AND LOOK AT REWORKING THE OTHER THINGS BECAUSE THEYRE TERRIBLE AND THATS WHY THE ONE GUN/SPECIALIZATION/ GADGET IS OVERUSED.

also, whats with this "ultimate battle pass" money grab where i cant buy it with saved in game currency? i thought you were all about allowing saving of in game currency (bought and earned) to unlock the battle pass and cosmetics so you werent a game like COD or Apex.

This winch nerf is truly not it, and not in a "all winch nerf bad" way but rather the opposite.
Winch needs to be nerfed not in the cooldown, but in the way it actually works.
The issue was NEVER in the cooldown in the slightest bit and I actually find the existence of winch in its current actual existence to be a disgrace against any balancing as its been borderline untouched since release, we get number changes but that means nothing at all, from 17 meteres to 12 meteres or whatever, and increased cooldown, this does not matter, as long as winch works the way it does, it will be op, it will be an issue.
You need to make changes before the majors, it does not matter in the slightest its the meta, and in fact the opposite, due to how strong it is, it needs to be nerfed.
I still have the exact same % of winch players post nerf, cause its truly nothing.
What should be done is that upon missing, it misses, the chain itself is still able to hook people rather then requiring a direct collision with the hook, and also it still floats in place for a second after missing. Make it just miss if it misses, too bad if the heavy misses, they get punished and its too bad.
The stun effect is also COMPLETELY insane. It works where upon connecting with an enemy, ANYTHING they were doing is cancelled, and they get pulled in whilst fully stunned, and remain stunned for a second AFTER the winch ends, on the contrary, the person using the winch has their control, and ability to shoot come back a second BEFORE the winch ends. This is clearly just unbalanced, alongside how easy it is to hit, it also has a incredibly forgiving and practically free stun.
Im running out of space for other points but you truly must recognise how urgently this needs to be nerfed

It seems like all deployable gadgets now cancel earlier if you switch to something else, and I think… it’s just less enjoyable like this? I’m not sure how much of this is due to muscle memory, but it feels like the intuitive point of no return for using most things now happens before that threshold. Feels kind of bad to have visually taken something out and be throwing it, just for it to immediately disappear. I would much rather be forced to follow through with the slight bit of the animation that remains than have the action be unintuitively cancelled.

Thank you so much for all the QoL updates this season, Embark. However, as nice as they are, I still have to say that most of them need some work.

  • Instant replays are kind of laggy and the load-in screen is kind of slow. I think making the transitions into and out of the kill-cam smoother and quicker would help a lot
  • Grenade indicators are a GREAT addition—but in their current state they aren’t useful. All they do is make every grenade look like a sonar grenade. What we really need is a UI indicator for grenades, which is how pretty much every other shooter that exists does it
  • Whatever matchmaking improvements you all did don’t seem to have made a difference. The only change I’ve seen is that I’m getting matched more consistently than ever against sweats and premade teams. Please keep working on this—it’s kept me from truly enjoying practically any match today
  • Loading the shaders while the game is loading is actually a bad idea. It makes the first several minutes of the game WAY too laggy, to the point where I’d rather have the long loading time if it meant the game ran smoothly upon launching fully. Of course, if you can streamline this any further, I’d gladly keep the ingame loading—it’s just not helpful right now

This season feels like a well deserved patch but with some major issues. Not a full blown season. I get that it probably had some big challenges to get done but I feel underwhelmed. The instant replay feature totally drags me out of the game and I turned it off after one match. Removing Bank It from private matches is lvl 2 fuckery. Head2head is a mild version of a world tour experience and brings nothing new. I know you probably worked hard to get this done and I invested once again but like I said before feel underwhelmed.

as a winch main, the nerf does jack shit and only makes me use it more conservatively

it fails to address the actual issues with fighting the winch in that it takes away way too much agency from the player.

I propose that the intial stun on connect is heavily shortened, and instead of neatly bringing the objects/players to your feet, it just gives them a lot of velocity away from where you are looking.

Some thoughts after playing:

  • New destruction system is pretty cool, but it tends to lead to massive FPS drops. It's a bit unclear how much damage will occur when you break something now too. Also, maybe certain materials could be heavier than others and cause more damage? Some tweaking needs to be done I think, but it's overall cool.
  • Equipment being slower to toss doesn't feel great. I find myself trying to throw goo and swapping before it tosses now. Please speed up the toss animation to match how it was before.
  • We should be able to just select what modes we want to queue for when we queue for quickplay. There's 0 reason to be stuck with one mode over another every season. There's so many legacy modes that are left behind now.
  • The new guns feel good. I like them.
  • New kill cams are great! Only problem, killcams take too long to start and end. As in, the little transition screen is way too long. Please make it fade in faster, or just make it a picture-in-picture type of thing I can look at while spectating.
  • Keeping the $30 BP the same is indefensible imo. Should be $15 and just not include the skips/currency. I'll pay $5 more for the extra skins, but not $20 more. $20 more for effectively 5 better versions of skins that I have to work for is a scam imo. These feel like skins we would've gotten previously in the $10 pass. Do either of these options and I'd gladly buy the ultimate BP:
    • Allow us to get the ultimate items for $15 worth of currency, or upgrade to it from the base battle pass. Minus the skips/currency.
    • Let us get the skins individually in the shop.
  • The shop bundles are getting ridiculously expensive. "Fortunes Few" is mostly recolors/retextures of already existing items but costs more than the highest multibucks pack you can buy. Each individual outfit is also 3000. They are simply not worth that much (over $20 each) individually. Please get these prices in check. Introduce more new bundle sales for old items too!

We are on season 8 and light hasn’t gotten a new specialization and with this season not bring ANY new content to light I have nothing that makes me excited to play this new season, it just feels like the game never really gives anything interesting to lights like how they were and the fact they were completely left out of a new season is crazy plus we lose a gadget, the H+ was amazing giving lights a way to better support their team but as a gamer I want other ways to have fun other then the recycled light gameplay loop and using melee to find some fun in the game, I’ve been playing since beta but light hasn’t felt really different since the nulifier change

It would be one of the best changes ever if it applies for Ranked, where people play in squads, since it’s better than playing with randoms and gives them an unfair advantage. Please do this:

  • split solo+duo lobbies from trios
  • make a 2-round tournament for the top 1,000 players instead of 3-round (so it will require 12 instead of 24 p)
  • remove the possibility of playing ranked in a party with more than a 7k RP difference
  • remove the RP penalty if a teammate who leaves the match is not in your party

Once thermal vision is added back, I believe thermal sights for medium and heavy weapons would be a good addition. Since thermal vision covers the entire screen, I think its fair for medium and heavy to have a thermal sight.

I personally don’t understand the dual deagle nerf they were already kinda bad compared to other heavy weapons after the last nerf, which made them some of the least used heavy weapons from what I saw last season. Why was it necessary to nerf them again? They are impractical in most senses now.

How u managed to make servers tec. quality even shitter than they were and left matchmaking in the same pit it was last season? In the first game of power shift i was fighting against 3 players out of 5 with stats like 50k diamond 100k certified "no touch grass creature" 5-7 S top 500 and other dude with 37k. At the same time i got this rookies (not even one of them got 10k kills) that never supposed to fight against this. The F EMBARK? Like its welcome hello to new players? Or good balance core again?

amazing new weapons, however, the titan revolver just doesn't do enough damage, despite how fun it is. it's slow to shoot, slow to reload, damage isn't great. i would take either increased fire rate/ reload speed OR just damage increase. there's currently not any reason to take it over the KS-23, and the KS isn't all that great either. again, super fun weapon, but can already tell it needs a buff of some sort

Hey, I encountered one minor problem with the game controls

Im from czech, and in czech, and i believe in some other countries, we have czech keyboard, which has symbols like +ěščř and so on on 1 2 3 4 5 keys.

Could you please add support of the hybrid controls like other games (that person doesnt have to change anything, the controls +ěščř are automatically used as 12345) ?

Also Im not even able to put the keys in the controls settings, the game doesnt recognize them. But the hybrid feature would be way nicer.

I absolutely love games with graphs that tell you how fast a game escilated, how you did during the game, and how the overall server did (everyone in said game). That being said i love the addition of the finals end match graph, but i wish it had more details on the actual graph than just what team scored a cashout when. Id like to see it cover damage done, elims or final hits, destruction damage, etc.

Please revert sword's angle lock and super dash change. Genuinely removes any kind of ability to track players. If they even slightly move to the side, you lose the fight. Simple as that.

Mouse and keyboard on console is awesome, but I’m still sticking with gyro controls, very glad for having this option.

I have been communicating about the gyro drift throughout S7, caused by autocalibration from PS5’s OS.

I heard that Fortnite was able to expose this setting so players can turn it off for specific games.

I’ve loved this game for a long time, but the latest update really damaged the balance and the fun factor.

The P90 feels broken , 50 bullets with practically zero recoil makes it unfair and unfun to play against. Its a perfect weapon for cod players.. the finals has this skill gap mastering weapons hit this... Wtf

Right now performance on Ps5 feels worse than before. These changes are pushing players away instead of keeping them engaged. This gimme vives when you put TA on rank and i had to leave the game.

I like the new instant replay feature. However, I feel it is a bit clunky and disorients you a bit.
To counteract this I propose to always have the gameplay in view instead of transitioning to 2D UI blocking the screen.
An alternative implementation I would suggest is to have that 2D UI transition take up only the bottom left corner to signify it being a replay. To make it clear the gameplay showcased is not spectator cam, you could add a funny little "rewind" to reverse to where the instant replay starts.

double barrel should be nerfed to having to hit 4 shots instead of 2. It currently does not require any form of skill.
I am saying 4 shots as it would balance it out with its reloading. and make it so they have to hit the attack twice instead of unfairly one-shotting heavies.
If you tell me that it does somehow require any resemblance of skill. Then you are probably lying to yourself.
It is very easy to use. I mean, Extremely easy to use. with any type of device. Controller? Aim-assist is there for that, and even then, you can easily get so close that aiming does not play a factor to how you use the weapon. The damage can two-hit all classes at close to semi-medium range. Which makes barely if any sense at all.

Another idea on how to balance double barrel is to maybe make it so you get heavy knockback after hitting a shot, as well as putting the Special equipment on cooldown for a bit to prevent the knockback from being meaningless. It would turn it into a movement-focused weapon instead of a "always backstabbing dagger".

To me, the DB feels unrewarding to use and feels frustrating to go against. Which are terrible signs for how the game is meant to be played.

Please if you are going to reduce to 2 charge the demat, al least reduce the cooldown time 1 or 2 sec.

the non stop recharging animation bug.
throwing grenades does the animation but the grenade doesn't comes up.
The moving platforms are so glitchy that you cannot step on it with out a crazy movements and clip on the wall or floor.

How about no? Light definitely has enough with the LH1 buff lol. Super dashing being on the sword is one thing but it being on literally every weapon and you chain multiple with dash is absurdly strong and covers far too much ground to remain in the game.

This is going to be more of a rant but I really, really miss Season 6. Hot take but I liked the game when damage was permanent. When you shot someone it was likely that damage was staying if you progressed the teamfight. Healing beam was nicely designed because it was the only form of real healing, it wasn't that good and you had to forgo dematerializer to use it. The burst healing from light infuser has made the game so much worse imo I really hate it.

Back in season 6, sledgehammer wasn't nonsensically nerfed to have no melee breakpoints because that's just too complex of course and sword wasn't devolved to just be the left click machine. I didn't see a riot shield and double barrel each and every single game just yet either. This is still my favorite fps but season 8 didn't do enough for me and after 1k hours I'm just not feeling it anymore at this moment. I hope I can take a break and come back to enjoying it the way I once did again but right now, I don't even want to play the game I'm so burnt out on the mediocre changes.

Speaking of, why did medium need a low skill floor smg? One of the cool parts of the finals ignoring the lmgs is the amount of bullets in a mag you needed to land to kill someone. Adding a 50 bullet spray machine to medium too just makes me think that was never intentional and only became a side product of a lack of weapons to fill that niche

  1. Extremely little content added, and the content that was added is of questionable quality. The last thing we needed is more boring hitscan weapons with no interesting traits or gimmicks, yet of the 2 you added, one is a revolver for Heavy that one-shots Light when used with Winch... Are you serious? Why haven't we had a single new Specialization since Season 3?
  2. Poor balancing. All of the changes you made were in the right direction, but many were either overkill, too little, or completely missed the point. You couldn't just fuck with Pike's breakpoints by reducing its damage to 49 -- no, you had to choose 48, make its hipfire worse, make its range worse, AND buff Repeater all at the same time. You only understood part of why Dual Blades feel too clunky to use and still ignore how bad the third strike's damage is. You completely missed the point of why Winch Claw is so dominant and just decided it should be used maybe 1 less time in longer teamfights, barely creating a difference. Guardian Turret's new cooldown is still too slow, and more importantly, even when active, it remains practically useless against a coordinated team. And you completely ignored some stinkers entirely like Minigun and Breach Drill... ||Here's a hint: remove Minigun headshots and just up the base damage.||
  3. __The items in the battle pass and sponsorship do not interest me __-- especially as you start resorting to recoloring old items for the main pages, too -- and the store items are wildly too expensive to afford.
  4. Somehow, you continued to fuck with the muscle memory of your entire playerbase by changing equip/holster timings on items.

For all of these reasons (and a few more I've aired in the past), I am simply not playing this season. You suck, sorry. Maybe work double time to fix some shit quick and you can get some players back.

I think it'd help with visual consistency in weapons to offer color and pattern matching of weapon sights/scopes to gun skins. As it stands, the default black color assigned to most conflicts a great deal visually with many skins due to colors being so different. This is especially noticeable with Mythic rarity skins, such as with the new black scope fixture added to the Pike when using the Raygun Redux Mythic skin (I'd love to see it matching!). I understand this would add to the workload, but seeing as gun skins are something most players see the majority of the time, this would be of benefit to many players/customers.

lobby ui needs refinement. so much visual clutter and massive advertisment carousels. Then i have a massive green logo totally throwing off the vibe and color scheme of the arena. Since they started changing lobby screens every season my playtime has dropped off a cliff (750hrs rn) PLS EMBARK REFINE THE LOBBY. in game UI so clean and minimal then lobbies visual throwup. honestly just drop the 2 carousels i think that would be enough. Winch claw 18s cd for hitting a person or cashout feels way too long for an active skill in fast pace game like the finals and the difference is very noticeable when I tried it in practice range, however the increased cd for miss or objects are fine imo. If they think it's too strong just increased the cd for cashout not when hitting a person or at least not a 4s increase as I feel 1s or 2s feels more justifiable.

Respawn swapping doesn't work and glitches out with infinite timer and no way to use your mouse or keyboard. The only fix is to leave the game or be revived by a teammate which puts you on the same load out and not the one you wanted to swap to. critical importance and urgency.

gadget switching feels 'off' this season. it was kind of off last season at the very end, but when i low-throw a grenade/dome shield, the grenade/dome doesnt get thrown at all, even when my contestant says the voice line for a grenade, which is usually how i know a grenade's been 'thrown'. please fix, this is a major issue and is disrupting how i normally play the game.

It's a really cool feature, and i notice the team is very proud of it (rightfully so!)
I think it could be improved by removing the transition cuts, it feels a bit slow and takes away immersion when i'm trying to focus on what my team is up to, which is another issue; i don't really care too much about who or what killed me in a tense situation, i care a little more about my team and who's alive, rather than what happened in the past, that being said i think the tech could be used for something else, like clip replays or something. a hotkey to store 1-3 few-second replays to watch after the round would be really cool, so i can screen record them!

So demat is officially dead. The cooldown is way too long and two charges is bad. Literally when you put out the demat pad it takes 2 seconds to demat something which is more than enough to die or barely survive at all.

I hate Instant Replay as it is right now. I'm so happy you guys have figured out the technology but I hate that I'm forced to watch it if it is enabled.

It takes you out of the action to where you can't spectate your teammates and make callouts. It's SO annoying being forced to watch a long, red splash screen while you desperately wait to see shit going on.

There needs to be an option to not make it play immediately, and have an optional button press after you die that starts the replay if you want it.

edit: I didn't know I could only change it outside of a match, on the main menu. I still think it needs to be an optional button press.

As others have said, the game doesn't feel good after the update. Slow and sluggish and it feels like I'm fighting every press of a button. Even hard to place turrets now at times. Been an issue for long that demat and launch pads take several clicks to use. To the point that I don't even bother to use demat since a few seasons back. Same with single or burst shot weapon since they just pause shooting despite pressing.

Shame you don't seem able to or care to fix these issues. And now the game doesn't feel good in general either.

Also thanks for these new weapons, I feel it balanced.

BFR Titan is too strong in close and mid distances, but their mag and fire rate are punishable.

With P90 is the other side. Close distances, high fire, a hardly recoil in mid distances. This is like M11 for medium class with a little high time to kill. Good job with these two new weapons, really🛐

performance has dropped a bit, not by a huge margin for me but its definitely not as good

replay is pretty janky and VERY laggy, it tanks fps down to 5 or less just to load, and skipping it causes weird UI stuff and more freezes

riot seems in a good spot now, its shielded state being far slower to move and look around makes it a lot more of a positioning thing rather than run at them thing

Instant replay is a good addition, but i think it would be even better if it was PiP (picture in picture) instead of full screen; have a reasonably sized window pop up showing the instant replay, while still being able to see what’s going on with your team around you.

Also thematically fits too with the whole sport/gameshow vibe.

It is incredibly frustrating only being able to obtain it by making a IRL money transaction, not a small one to boot. That being said, the cosmetics are pretty awesome this season. (Mostly) please adjust the Ultimate battle pass system, not everyone wants to spend hard earned cash, when they already have the credits in their account waiting to be used.

I'm all for skill-based weapons within The Finals, but the BFR Titan is currently a problem imo. The current strongest meta seems to be to run the BFR Titan as a trio of heavies, all using RPG and mines. Any gadget pretty much allows you to close out a near-instant kill with the BFR Titan, and firing on one target together with the BFR Titan is a total melt. While I'm personally not sure how I would address this in balancing, just wanted to address it as a current frustration point. The P90 also feels a little too weak, but that's okay since it has 50 rounds. Really enjoying this season so far though.

Embark you guys are the biggest clowns there are I swear. Do you guys actually think for at least 2 seconds before adding things to this mess of a game? Last season light got a heal that outhealed any damage now heavy the class with the most HP, domeshield, winch, RPG and charge n slam gets a revolver that deals 98 damage on body and 147 on headshots. ARE YOU GUYS OK? There is no chance in this universe that you made this gun up, designed the stats for it, tested it and said hmmm yeah this is good. Not to mention the new bug where your gun shoots on it’s own and when you load in you get flashbanged for 5 seconds but you know what keep changing the destruction(you can’t even fix your servers but this should be the priority) and the UI even though no one asked for it.

Also I really hope the entire Discord is ragebaiting with wanting the P90 nerfed but knowing that it’s on medium, the root of all evil I guess not.

Didn't buy ultimate last time, not buying it this time. 30$ cash for a couple alt skins is just stupid. That's almost half the price of a AAA title or full price DLC. How do you justify that? You capitalize on FOMO (a thing you said you'd hate to do) to get the fans that love your game to open their wallets & pay top dollar for nice skins after intentionally making less desirable versions. I used to say that "The Finals is free to play & without predatory micro transactions" now I can't because it's just a lie at this point. think the ping system can also be improved a bit, sometimes i try to ping an enemy and i accidentally ping something else instead like a zipline, vault, etc

another thing i miss from apex is that pings have a very distinct sound that is easy to notice, pings in this game only have a voice line and those are hard to notice in the middle of a chaotic engagement

Light need dash fix and 93R need a damage nerf by how effective it is, H+ Infuzer need a fix that you can't shoot to your own team dome shield

Gadget and grenade delay and then cancel if the animation isn’t complete is actually driving me crazy, have they acknowledged this as a bug or intended change?

Also Winch is 3 stun guns in a trench coat, and I am tired of pretending it’s not, feels like you’re throwing if you don’t equip it, and awful to play against, don’t even have time to throw down goo and block it now on medium. It can already grab you into a killable position, why should it stun too? And combined with the new revolver it just places players in perfect headshot place without having to do much of anything.

Even if it's not 40º,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
The occasional turning of aim was used to maximize multi-hit.
If the problem is wild turning, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if someone spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. Of course, dmg must also be reverted.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?

The current class system in the game undermines its core design by giving each class weapons and gadgets that blur their roles, stripping them of unique identities. Why have a class system if every class can do everything? The Light class should focus on DPS, Medium on Support, and Heavy on Tank roles, fostering team synergy. Instead, the current setup creates a senseless mishmash, diluting what makes each class distinct.

Playing Medium with the P90 feels exactly like playing Light, except I can't go invisible. This weapon makes no sense for Medium; it belongs in Light with a suppressor to fit its fast, stealthy playstyle. Conversely, the ARN-220, assigned to Light, is illogical. Its 60-bullet capacity split into two magazines forces a mid-spray reload, which is disastrous for Light’s quick-decision gameplay. With only 150HP, Light can't afford to pause and reload mid-fight, unlike Medium’s 250HP, which can tank more damage and handle such a reload. The ARN-220 fits Medium (without a suppressor, as suppressors should be Light-exclusive), as Medium lacks high-ammo weapons suited for sustained combat.

For two years, the community has demanded the P90 for Light with a suppressor, yet the developers released it for Medium, defying logic. The ARN-220’s release for Light was equally baffling. These choices go against intuitive game design—any average player expects a P90 to suit Light’s agile, high-damage role, as its animations and gameplay scream "Light." The developers’ consistent misalignment with player expectations is frustrating and suggests a disconnect in understanding class roles.

These aren’t minor issues; they disrupt balance and erode class identity. Light needs rapid decisions, not reload interruptions. Medium should support, not mimic Light. Despite clear community feedback, developers’ choices defy reason. A rework is urgently needed to restore unique class roles and enhance team-based gameplay.

Man, I hate the grenade indicator. Literally died last match while resing a mate thinking it was a sonar.
This is so stoopid. It breaks realism, and imo it was already easily distinguishable. Especially with the big sound it makes right after it's thrown.

If you need an indicator to tell you where the nade is, it's just a skill issue. Such a dumb request from the community.
Remove indicator, and bump up the sound when it's thrown. The Finals requires you to stay focused anyway, so what was the point of that change in the first place?

I purchased the premium battle pass before starting the new season, and overall I think the season is strong. That said, I’m struggling to understand the reasoning behind changes that seem to eliminate any real skill gap.

I can accept the demat nerf, dropping from 3 to 2 makes sense, but the bigger concern is the inherent delay that’s now tied to deploying specializations and equipment. Since this wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes, it feels like it was added without transparency.

These constant delays are frustrating and risk damaging the long-term health of the game. I understand the intent to make things more approachable for casual players, but if you keep going down this path, the game will lose its competitive edge and appeal for everyone.

just had a placement game for ranked, where one team helped another from start to finish. protecting their cashouts farming us on spawn (i solo q). one was ruby before and had a pro team logo (pulsar). please do the necessary and ban these players from comp. let them play their private matches, but this is unacceptable. i heard something similar before. dont know if they get paid to do this, or they just wank off on it, but this has to be prevented and in my opinion by denying them their shiny shit. rant off.

Something feels wrong with using some gadgets. Frags especially feel like I cant quickly throw them like I always have. since the start of the season there's a lag, and I deploy my gun again before the nade is thrown. And the gun sometimes is invisible and cant fire for a moment when I switch back

This is 1000% because of something you did to the game, not a change in my muscle memory. Possibly network related.

Can we add a feature to clubs where doing club contracts earns the club points that can be used to buy the entire club items? Perhaps something like an in game club jersey, hoodie, hat or sticker?

Finals' customization has come a long way and overall, it's one of the best systems I've ever used in a FPS title.

One thing that I would love to see added is the ability to assign specific victory and intro emotes to any given outfit.

I personally like visual cohesion so always having an intro/victory emote that suits my outfit would feel great.

Feels uncanny to me personally when my tactical battle maid Light is doing wrestling moves because I forgot to change the intro emote. Although it is funny lol.

Instead of remodeling and trying making the game more engaging like enabling switching specialization to counter tactics, etc.. you guys removed the MOST strategic game mode and reduced the entire game to basically 4 EQUAL non-tactic modes with crazy random spawns everywere (Fortnite like...), were luck is a major factor to victory. Four equal modes, one tdm and one powershift..... After 1150 hours in this game this makes me very sad. And there's some other feedback to make the game better: a light nerf so it's harder for a light to wipe an entire team, fix guns range so lights can't shoot you halfway across the map with a supposedly no range bb gun, a 2 seconds delay between dashes (lights pop up, spend their clip and triple dash away before you even get a lock on to retribute...), remove the 1 HIT KILL on the knife and add a stun or something else, 1 hit kill is absurd, nerf light sword, fix GOO GRENADE when you trow this shit comes back at you and goo yourself instead of making walls 100% of the time, when you goo a roof it makes two useless goo balls.. It started glitching after season one and it never came back. It could have a 'preview' of the wall you're about to make before throwing it. Stop spawning us 200m from the objective. Allow cash steal to be done after the time is up if you clicked before the time run out (so we have a precise timing to start stealing at the last moment and not guess the mark around the last 6 seconds). Items placed at the back of the moving plataform tend to slip fall of the plataform (mines, goo grenade etc). The shield cover area is too big. It should be possible to escape a heavy after a winch claw but its almost impossible, making an almost certain kill to a heavy that barelly has to aim (so maybe remove the damage of the winch, or give a fighting chance to the victi,).

Nerfing swap speeds on gadgets is so lame. The games feels awful to play this season. Swapping doesn't feel as intuitive as it use to. The change is so arbitrary and ruins every players muscle memory. It added nothing to the game.) Sword super dash was cool imo but this feels egregious in most cases and it isn't particularly difficult to pull off and chain multiple super dashes into each other. Lights know it's busted as balls and dash is meta enough as it is. Invisibility and grapple could use some love though.

As a Light main who has been one of the biggest simps for this game since Season 1, I have to say that for once, I am not having a good time in the game. It's really disappointing because The Finals is the only game I really play these days. I know there will be balancing updates soon, but I think we can all expect that to be at least two weeks out. The entire update is very anti-Light; Mediums and Heavies both got new guns that absolutely destroy lights at incredible range, and Lights got no new items at all. In fact, one of our items got taken away this season.

The BFR isn't terrible to deal with as a Light. It's annoying in the hands of a skilled player, but it's still manageable since it requires skill to use effectively. I honestly have no feedback about the BFR other than its audio bugs out very frequently, playing repeatedly and loudly, and is super annoying because I can't hear anything around me for 30-45 seconds until the bug clears.

But the P90 is straight-up unfair. It out-ranges Light SMGs, out-DPS's them, and has ridiculously low recoil. 50 rounds is excessive for the amount of damage it does. I know that actual P90s typically come with 50-round mags so that's part of the gun's identity, but it should NOT do as much damage per bullet as it does, and it should NOT be so free at range. I'm pretty sure it can kill 6+ Lights in a row without ever reloading if you land your shots. I get that Lights have been kinda strong for a few seasons, but I don't think this is the right way to address that.

Also, the KBM settings on console are severely lacking. I really hope this isn't supposed to be a "finished" implementation of KBM on console, because I'm super disappointed in the way it currently feels on PS5, and am honestly considering going back to controller because there's so few tuning options available for the mouse settings. KBM aiming on console feels super jittery. I main the SR-84, and right now it feels better on controller with all of the aim-assist turned off than it feels on KBM. I just bought a new mouse and keyboard just for this update, and am really disappointed with how lackluster the tuning is.

I really hope that the P90 gets a revision soon, because this one, single gun is honestly making me want to just take a break for this season.

As an experienced player who has played the game for over 1000 hours, I really can't stand the developers continuously nerfing the M1887. From damage to feel, the time to kill (TTK) is now quite poor. Why do the developers think that the insufficient bullet count is the reason why this gun isn't used by people? I can't understand what balance is actually doing. Instead of making things unsatisfactory, just roll back the game code to the first season when everyone enjoyed playing! If you're only going to nerf specific weapons, it would be better to enhance all weapons! This is a fun game, not a prison sentence!

The new anticheat system is silly due to the need for admin permissions when opening the game. Hacking was not an issue with the old one, all the large hacking problems were ages ago and I haven't experienced a hacker since s3. Hey yall, I wanna know if anyone has any insight on how to resolve the TFGE0003 error. I cannot load into any matches nor the training area with exceptions of a few times. I've looked on reddit and steam discussions which led to deleting saved costume setups, weapon skins, and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing seems to work. I've tried to load into matches maybe 15-20 times and I've only successfully loaded in I think 3 times. If anyone has any other reccomendations I'm willing to try them out. Thanks! Ima be honest I've been playing this game since the end of season one and getting diamond rank consistantly, but this needs to be addressed tbh ( Heavy Class) Is just too op in comparison to the other classes. Like I get it it's a heavy it should hit hard, but lets walk through this. Heavy class every season and updates just keeps getting buffed and buffed and getting more equipment while the other classes just getting nerfed, like medium getting a p90 ok nice, but the heavy revolver? like sorry but it shouldn't do this much dmg especially doing as much dmg long range almost as a light sniper or medium pike, not only that THE HEALING GADJET INFINITE??? like sorry what? healing 3 people at the same time until it's destroyed or picked and when we picks it up he could just re use it 2 seconds after???? the winch claw just dragging cashout out while the medium ( which is supposed to be the healer just gets nerfed and nerfed healing, but they add the healing to other classes? like the light 20 chargers and you get it after 10 seconds again healing a full heavy then again then again.. like imagine a heavy healing ball, then a light healing gun, then a medium healing gun? at this point just add grevious wound weapons to lower the healing when hit.. like I don't know the game I love it, but the balance just keeps getting off and off. he already has 350 hp and 1000 other gadjets I just don't get some of these stuff. ( Id understand if the heavy heall ball is an ability like the mesh shiled with a long cd, but this? yea i dont't know man). P90 is fine, it is a close range weapon that performs well in close range

It's max range is 20 meters for crying out loud, so of course it should have a somewhat high DPS at close range, but it's not enough to completely diff an m11 at that range, this is balanced around the difference of health pools.

The 50 rounds and long firing time it has is for consistency, while light smgs run out of ammo quickly and heavy lmgs fire for significantly longer times, they all have varying DPS numbers accordingly. once again, this is balanced around the difference of health pools

So there really isn't anything that the weapon needs in either a buff or nerf category right now, p90 is fine

It's very rarely I don't know who killed me and I rather watch the game. If I'm on coms I can even help my squad even if I'm dead.

Like, “press button to see replay.” By utility, it gets in the way when you’re trying to see what your team is up to, but on some occasions, I’d like to view it.   • Fix the fact that player number doesn't match with the one on arena screens or in-game player cards
  • Remove nade indicator. It's already a bad gadget compared to pyro or gas nades/mines. (It's like adding indicator to explosive mines, asked by community cuz of skill issue)
  • Fix performance: you claimed with S8 that they are better, they are actually not. Subtle but constant frame drops. It's def not as smooth.
  • Add PVE (I bet it'll be eventually added, so keep doing whatever ur experimenting with the dummies)

  • Add medieval season with medieval map and chilvary 2 type of event. (Castle siege and defense, no guns)

With a decade of competitive play and experience producing esports events with every major publisher (Even Embark) , I’ve had plenty of time to notice trends in the space. The new Replay system in The Finals confirms one I’ve suspected for a while: developers consistently prioritize the controller experience over everything else.

It’s gotten to the point where most “Steam” players I run into are using controllers. I’ve played on mouse and keyboard for years across titles like The Finals, Rogue Company, Battlefield, and COD, and the same pattern keeps popping up. I understand that controllers are more accessible and the console market is massive, but the imbalance is hard to ignore. The goal may have been accessibility, but the result is homogenization. Everyone gravitates toward the input with the most advantages, undermining variety and skill expression.

And look, I get it—most people want to come home from work and relax, not down 300mg of caffeine just to compete in a game they enjoy. But the current landscape forces MnK players to put in a much higher level of effort and intensity just to match the baseline performance of a controller player with aim assist. That’s where the frustration comes from.

In The Finals, I can usually tell if I’m fighting a MnK or controller player within seconds. Before the Replay system, it was just a gut feeling. Now I can see it clearly. Against MnK players, there’s the usual back-and-forth: recoil, bloom from jumping, missed shots as I strafe or slip out of their aim. Against controller players, the moment they start firing, it’s a relentless stream of perfect “dink” sounds until I completely break line of sight.

Replays highlight the gap even more. A skilled MnK player might work hard for a kill, but the most average controller player often lands shots with near-perfect consistency. Yes, aiming with a mouse is inherently more precise than a thumbstick, but that advantage disappears when aim assist essentially functions like soft aimbot. Competitive players will always min-max, so if the best option is controller due to aim assist, it kills input diversity at the highest levels.

Other FPS titles have handled this better. Early Overwatch disabled aim assist for console players when matched with PC lobbies. Halo Infinite faced the same debate, with calls for separate input pools to preserve competitive integrity. The Finals hasn’t reached that point yet, but the problem is growing.

The solution isn’t to kill crossplay altogether. Separate lobbies by input device. MnK players compete without aim assist; controller players keep it in their own pool. This keeps accessibility for casual players while protecting competitive balance for everyone else.

It takes longer to throw gadgets (ALL OF THEM), and it's horrible to play, gateway, goo, gas, grenade, dome shield, etc.

Also the BFR Titan needs to be looked at, how did you guys even think about making such a weapon HITSCAN AT ALL RANGES with minimal damage falloff ?
Getting sniped across the map from a heavy with a handgun is really not healthy, the class has 350hp(+350 from dome) and you suddenly give it a sniper with insane damage, fully hitscan and no damage falloff ?

I am here to suggest custom settings for Weapons/Gadgets (Probably more like custom overrides, cause having custom settings for every weapon and gadget would be alot for a menu to contain, More like right click > custom input) so that we can disable keybinds when using specific weapons, examples being ADS on weapons that don't "need" it like bow, lockbolt, Grenade Launcher. But for people who use toggle ADS when they go to use the minigun, The change to minigun from always hold to spin-up to using the ADS key killed it for me, Being able to disable toggle ADS on specifically the Minigun for those who want it would make it feel so much better
This would also allow for players to swap things like grenade underthrow and overhand, C4 throw and place, etc

P.S. (If not that, Than please cleanup the settings menu, Addings Toggle ADS as an option in Gameplay as opposed to a bindable key)

Even tho I disagree with basically everything you said, since MNK is the superior hardware in this game and aim assist isn't strong and basically doesn't matter at all after you start firing (and they haven't even added zoom snap to repeater or the revolvers [zoom snap isn't strong either btw] lol) and basically all top players use MNK in every stream I catch, I 100% agree with that they should change the crossplay to input based and have the same input by default.

We really shouldn't be rewarding lights with dash and misusing sniper rifles by hip firing with barely any bloom effect to them and then melee bashing someone at point blank. That is what shotguns, SMG's, and melee weapons are for.

  • Lights should only have two dashes and not three, and can only get one dash at a time back to influence an actual challenge and forces the player to think before they reactively charge headfirst into a group of two or more.

  • Sniper rifles should be used as exactly intended, long range, not point blank like a slug round shotgun. Best way to deter this is to increase the bloom effect by a extreme amount when in hipfire, and even more when moving.

  • Dashing and immediately shooting afterwards should also enforce even more bloom effect to prevent or deter hipfire metas like the sniper rifle.

And for those of you that wish to complain about "Well, how are we supposed to defend ourselves?"
The problem is the meta of lights playing aggressively and not using sniper rifles as intended, you not being capable of defending yourself when you have a tool to reposition yourself is your own fault. If you want to complain about the fact a sniper can't defend themselves once engaged in close proximity, you can thank the community and streamers playing in that specific aggressive way for using the sniper rifle in that form and not as intended.

Its like using a hammer to try and remove a nail and not utilizing the prybar that was made for the intended purpose of removing nails.

  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game

  • Add the possibility to look at the banner of friends & recent players.

  • Obviously, your two new weapons are stupidly OP
  • Nerf CL40. For REAL this time
  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16dmg when M11 do the same dmg, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" recoil is increased but you can still move as you want & you take 5 dmg by the electricity. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • Increase the hip fire of the CB01-Repeater Nevermind, you just buff it again.
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
    - Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did hereWhere are you people pinging me for this ?
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough. EDIT: EVEN MORE WITH THE BFR
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. The fact is, we never saw a Light META since the launch of this game compare to M & H. It's say a lot about the game & the balance
You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. You destroy H-Infuser. Every viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed nerf after nerf because of players that can't track and kill properly a 150HP class.

Consider reducing the Winch stun duration on enemy players to 200ms or less (every shot on both sides are obviously life-or-death in a winch 1v1), or removing it altogether. If you don't change the stun, maybe allow enemies to maintain hipfire. This could ease frustration and won't change its already very strong objective manipulation.

If something like this isn't received well, change it back next patch problem solved

I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.

Dual blades are probably the worst melee in the game rn and definitely need a rebalancing (NOT a buff)

Add a juggling animation for the dual blades!

Add customizable ADS reticle!!! Don’t need different shapes just different colors. Seeing an enemy while ADS is so difficult when they are against a reddish background or when they are pinged by motion sensor or anything similar.

Nerf evasive dash they should genuinely only have 1 dash, any more and it becomes by far the best specialization of any of the classes.

I’ve already talked about it but sword is actually ridiculous in its current state and desperately needs a nerf. Its combo with evasive dash is actually crazy especially against console players who literally can’t move their camera fast enough.

This is a huge one for me personally as a mainly melee user, a light with evasive dash COMPLETELY counters every single melee in the ENTIRE game shit is actually ridiculous. The only way to fight a dash light with a melee weapon is to use evasive dash as well which should not be the way it is. I’m not saying to nerf it into the ground but please add some kind of counter/option for melee users against dash lights

finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

P.s. I play all game modes and my opinion was formed by the entire game as a whole. Even if I only played game modes like power shift last time I checked it’s still a game mode in the finals so they should balance things with all the modes in mind.

Hopefully this is seen! These are just 2 of the issues I've personally felt like are very very fixable with little downside...

  1. Weapon Sights & Colorblindness
    Right now there is literally no way for me to use the sights effectively because I and a lot of others deal with colorblindness and see such a faded red to an already dim weapon sight that it is a problem. Instead of just adding every possible sight to every weapon or just making it brighter, allow us to customize the sight color and brightness personally. I'm sure you guys could make something like this happen!

  2. Sponsorship Grind
    We are now at a point where if a new player or even an old player starts a sponsorship that has had previous tiers, they will LITERALLY never catch up to the newest update of sponsorship content. This is a fatal flaw. How I think should be a starting point at possible solutions is allowing free sponsorship growth and grind AFTER you fully complete the seasons current sponsorship you have chosen for yourself.

For example! If you chose Trentila and completely finish it, you should be allowed to choose a sponsorship the start to grind and level up for extra rewards! More incentive to keep playing and it wouldn't account for fans toward the leaderboard as that can still go toward your sponsor chosen at the beginning of the season! No matter what even if a player manages to complete every single sponsor up to that point, the new season's sponsor will allow for more content regardless! There will never be a drought of sponsorship content and the player will have much more incentive to continue playing to grind previous or alternative sponsorships! I understand loyalty tiers are kind of important but honestly it is truly just artificial statistics. It takes an excessive amount of time between each sponsorship and there is going to become an unmanageable amount of sponsorship content afterward. I don't know how the loyalty tiers currently work since I have not chosen a single repeat sponsor at this point (Iseul-T > Dissun > Ospuze > CNS > Trentila). However I feel like this could be a good start for ideas.

  1. Previous Ranked Rewards
    Some final requests for Progression rewards, please provide players that hit certain ranks AT LEAST for season 3 for their badges and backgrounds. I only say this because it is clear we still have public data for season 3. However for season 2, I am not sure on how easy it'd be to implement. Though it would be nice to have some badge recognition for the season 3 ranked gameplay, especially me and other diamond players and not only rubies.

Please take these ideas into consideration!

Instant Replay implementation doesn't feel polished. It's jarring to enter it or get revived out of it, especially from a Defib. Not to mention the loss of information from not spectating. I opted out entirely but I would prefer if there was an option to choose to view it after a death rather than turning it off entirely.

Thank you for the replay videos, I have been playing Counter Strike since 1997-98, I can tell when someone is fast switching or using walls. I would recommend getting better anti-cheat in-game. It's getting ridiculous.

I've been playing with the same buddies since S1. We all love the game very much, but we're also all getting tired of the Winch in general, and Winch+SA in particular. It has gotten to the point where my mates might not play the game anymore.

If the Winch stays unchanged, I'm pretty sure all we're gonna see during the major are teams glued to a Winch SA Heavy, going Jump Pad > RPG > Dome > Winch + SA at every occasion. In one word, it's BORING.

On a sidenote, I very much appreciate the Demat/Heal Beam rebalance done this season, it's been a long time coming but was a necessary change.

Also, please quick fix the Dash glitch... 🙏🏻

Dash deserves the same treatment as demat imo. Ive already gotten caught being greedy with my demats and the nerf is making sense in game.

Every decision should have weight and if that means removing one dash to make it make sense I wouldn’t mind.

As it stands you basically have 4 dashes in a fight(if you use them spaced out well) because by the time you used the third the fourth is already built up.

Also this might be a word salad but: you currently cannot spawn if the loadout screens open. And you can’t even open the loadout screen until you right click to reset the screen after your team wipes. Once you’ve pressed J to open the loadout screen you can change items if it even allows you, then have press J again to put away the loadout screen cause you can’t spawn unless you put away the loadout screen.

Weird I haven’t seen anyone talk ab this yet this season.

Reviving N U K E S.

tldr: The idea is that this would give nuke the properties of a mid range instant kill skill shot, requiring multiple slots of gadgets being used for maximum potential as usual, but giving it reduced damage spread to teammates, without feeling like the properties of it's high damage are lost. While also not spiraling into multiple instant kills. Effectively acting as an alterative to winch claw which could be easier to dodge but offer more mid range pressure and acting as a "get off me" option instead of pulling them into you as well as having single target instant kill potential (similar to how winch usually guarentees a kill)

Changes could be made so that red barrels with gadgets on it (up to two or three gadgets before significant speed debuffs or curving off course) travel only slight slower up to a certain distance before curving heavily or exploding prematurely. It would also benefit to specifically reducing effectiveness against large groups. Running checks specifically focused on nukes (ie. explosives on carriables) or specific explosives themselves could do this. This could be achieved by using piercing damage and then quickly lowering damage on passes through players,that way it only punishes players at close range who are holding extremely tightly to eachother, or singular players, along side softer "group damage" as well. This way direct hits would kill (or do full damage). Splash damage would also be introduced, only dealing half damage if outside of the closest radius. Damage "piercing" through other players would be reduced by an additional 1/3 of its current damage as well.

There could be additional checks related to direct hits to reduce multi-kills. If a player is hit directly that would also reduce the damage dealt to nearby teammates to 2/3s of max dmg even if in closest radius (2-3m drawn from center; this also applies to explosions that occur in radius but without making direct contact). This means an instant kill only triggers if you directly land the front of a red barrel onto a players hitbox, otherwise it will deal 2/3s damage if in a 2-3m radius, 1/2 damage if outside of that radius (up to 5m), and any of those damage numbers could be reduced by an additional 1/3 of whatever it's current damage is, if they are on the opposite side of a teammate.

i have about 350 hours on riot shield and only played it since i started playing, about right when season 7 started. I remember the quality of shield before the buff, where it was actually consistent.

the rework of season 8 was executed poorly; neither of its defensive or offensive properties were improved. most importantly they’ve gotten even WORSE than its pre-season 7 buff.

“Added visual clutter with no actual fix to show the shields protective area”. at least revert it back to where it was before and give every riot player who learned the zig zag tech their muscle memory back, and their ability to see.

“Nerfed lunge range and lunge speed.” the riot shield, already being the lowest dps melee in the game, brought down even lower that quick melee has about the same range and hitting someone with your elbow is FASTER than a guy with a stick. i would much rather have the beginning season 7 riot shield than this season 8 pos.

i put a youtube link below of a guy who does a good job at explaining it, but he states a HEAVY can outrun a shield after getting once, which is definitely noticeable. What was the point of buffing melee to make it “viable” and then nerf it to the ground ?

This winch nerf is truly not it, and not in a "all winch nerf bad" way but rather the opposite.
Winch needs to be nerfed not in the cooldown, but in the way it actually works.
The issue was NEVER in the cooldown in the slightest bit and I actually find the existence of winch in its current actual existence to be a disgrace against any balancing as its been borderline untouched since release, we get number changes but that means nothing at all, from 17 meteres to 12 meteres or whatever, and increased cooldown, this does not matter, as long as winch works the way it does, it will be op, it will be an issue.
You need to make changes before the majors, it does not matter in the slightest its the meta, and in fact the opposite, due to how strong it is, it needs to be nerfed.
I still have the exact same % of winch players post nerf, cause its truly nothing.
What should be done is that upon missing, it misses, the chain itself is still able to hook people rather then requiring a direct collision with the hook, and also it still floats in place for a second after missing. Make it just miss if it misses, too bad if the heavy misses, they get punished and its too bad.
The stun effect is also COMPLETELY insane. It works where upon connecting with an enemy, ANYTHING they were doing is cancelled, and they get pulled in whilst fully stunned, and remain stunned for a second AFTER the winch ends, on the contrary, the person using the winch has their control, and ability to shoot come back a second BEFORE the winch ends. This is clearly just unbalanced, alongside how easy it is to hit, it also has a incredibly forgiving and practically free stun.

The winch needs to be drastically nerfed back to 10 meters range like before, lower the stun duration, remove the second hit on the way back!!

All of this needs to happen ASAP and BEFORE the major tournament, otherwise it's going to be a boring disaster for the viewers because the whole meta revolves around this one button press at the moment.

ALL light are hard locked into evasive dash, not because it's particularly OP but it's the only thing that keeps you alive in the winch meta. All classes have exactly one viable loadout (with different weapons of choice) , there is ZERO build variety, which this game was supposed to be all about ?!

Season 8 has been kinda upsetting. Light class got zero love all while getting thermal vision removed (LOL)

Kinda annoyed at how bad the game menu is on Xbox Series X. The game literally just doesn't load. It's either "connecting" or "processing". I spend real money to get multibucks for items I cannot even buy because the game doesn't process the purchases. Frame rate is like -25% for me this patch, and input lag is like 40-50ms in gunfights basically unplayable, S7 I could compete, in S8 I literally have to rely on completely outplaying my opponents because 9 times out of 10 I lose what should be a 50/50 gunfight. Nerf the dual blades by making it so that you have to crouch to deflect shots at your feet. It feels cheap that you can’t shoot their legs when the character model clearly isn’t defending that area.

Also drastically increase the db spread past 3m. This is supposed to be a close quarters weapon, it should have been stuck in someone’s back to justify that much damage.

About Instant Replay:

Honestly, I don't use that feature in any of the games I've played that had it, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the value it has on other players that want to know exactly what happened in every kill. But, as it came enabled by default in this patch and had to experience it for some games before I got to disable it, I have to say that just the animation of "Instant Replay" is soo slow (maybe there's a technical reason, idk) that it was kind of annoying, I hope there's something that could be done about it.

On the other hand, I'm not liking the focus on Ultimate BP cosmetics (I don't like Ultimate BP at all honestly, but kind of understand its existence because of money), leaving their "Premium" counterparts looking weird because they weren't the goal design in the first place.

This game is super fun and I'll keep enjoying it the same as I did since launch, cheers

-New Game Mode – 5v5 or 5v5v5 Cashout
Bigger teams for more chaos and strategy.
Higher prize pool (starting at 100,000) with longer playtime.
Cashout stations spaced further apart for better pacing.

-Customization – Jersey Numbers
Option for 3-digit jersey numbers instead of being limited to 2 digits.

-Weapon Customization – Stickers
Allow multiple stickers per weapon (2–4).
Stickers would be placed in pre-positioned spots that fit the gun’s aesthetic, keeping the design clean and consistent.
This would make even simple, single-colored skins feel more personal and unique.

-M60 Design Options
Option to remove the “wiggly” bipod on the M60.
Or alternatively, add skins that feature the M60 without the bipod.

I feel like the evolution of the dash just shows how smart and bark is instead of having to add new weapons to the light glass every season they just evolved one of the specializations to be better.

They didn't even need to add a new specialization to the light class they just added another layer of "coolness" to an already existing specialization.

It makes me wonder what other specializations they can evolve.

Since the light class didn't get any new weapons but we got an "upgraded" specialization I have been having so much fun.

pls revert the matchmaking changes... this game is built for teams and now that solo is prioitized more it really shows. the gameplay is so unreadable and unfun when the whole lobby is just playing for kills all split from their teams. It's also putting solo pubstompers in sbmm brackets where they don't belong, just bc of the higher soloq priority. This is all resulting in the world tour gameplay feeling extremely hectic and unbalanced. I'm a very good player and have solod world tour a lot in the past and whatever they changed with the matchmaking has made my recent soloqing a horrible experience :/

most of this is just the same "I can't beat it so nerf it", then people responding to them with with things like "then don't play" or "just get gud".

instead of constructive feedback about the game, it's balance, or even about talking about spots on certain maps that give a tangible advantage in fights that could be detrimental to how the map plays in some way.

but most of the time I look in here and just see the same things being posted over and over, I'm not even sure if any of this feedback is helping the game get better or making it even harder for the devs to figure out what's wrong or overly tuned.

and maybe set the chat so that people need to have the same role as you need to make a VC in the server so we don't have so many people who are new to the game running in here after losing a gun fight to something we all know is annoying like a light, CL-40, or some melee and ranting about it.

The instant replay feature is great but sometimes I REALLYYYY don't care how I died and don't want to further understand getting gunned down by full auto from a guy I wasn't even fighting. It's a great tool for understanding angles, but it really should be an opt in thing. When I'm trying to give callouts and say where the guy who got me went to my team, instead I'm just being abducted into a cutscene that I don't all that care for. Going down doesn't mean It's over, if I don't understand where I am or even who my teammate was fighting because I wasn't spectating them then It's not ideal getting defibbed or full revived back into the fight and not have a mental map of where I or anyone else is. Can this be alleviated by hitting space immediately? Yes. Should I have to frustratedly slap the thing everytime I go down because I don't care to spectate a mid kill? No.

Allow an opt in feature for it instead of the annoying force in. I would even just disable it entirely if I could to avoid being dragged into it when I'd rather not be.

Dear embark, I know I'm new to the game, but I fell in love with a game mode called Terminal Attack. In fact, it has allowed me to garnish friendships on a deeper level. TA has allowed a healthy competitiveness among a big group of us.
We now have our own chats and communities where everyone is intertwined one way or another. Then you decided to rip that away from us. There was no warning. You on the other hand, have compensated all of us Terminal players by responding with a generic message that we all have seen.
This is beyond frustrating. What would you have lost keeping Terminal Attack up? Can't answer? Well I can answer what you have lost taking it away. You have lost a community, players, money spenders, recruiters, and much more. Many of us won't be returning until terminal attack is put back.
Many of us are boycotting the battle pass. You HAD something great, and now you have royally messed up. Please rethink taking terminal attack away. You messed it up in season 3 by making it ranked. Now you put that consequence of that on the community that stood ten toes deep beside you. We are angry, upset, and overall disappointed.

Myself and a large part of the community are pretty upset with this update. Terminal attack gave us more of a challenge without respawns, the 5v5 aspect, it tested people’s abilities.   • terminal attack is just bootleg siege which happens to be free to play now, why compete with a game that based itself on that mode
  • Other problems with TA are being forced to play multiple rounds of 4v5 or 3v5 cause people would quit often or would quit at the start of the match, canceling the match wasting the long queue time you just sat in.
  • Bank it was an actual unique mode that was special to the finals, fast paced action that lasted short or long depending on the lobby, back fill if a random quit.

P90 is fine, it is a close range weapon that performs well in close range

It's max range is 20 meters for crying out loud, so of course it should have a somewhat high DPS at close range, but it's not enough to completely diff an m11 at that range, this is balanced around the difference of health pools.

The 50 rounds and long firing time it has is for consistency, while light smgs run out of ammo quickly and heavy lmgs fire for significantly longer times, they all have varying DPS numbers accordingly. once again, this is balanced around the difference of health pools

So there really isn't anything that the weapon needs in either a buff or nerf category right now, p90 is fine

Embark... all I ask is for the reordering of the DB attack sequence with the fastest ones first getting slower progressively. Its certainly not friendly to new players, and it generally feels like I have a HUGE disadvantage against any contestant I encounter. The sequence is jarring and I think It encourages both new and old players to stay away from the Dual Blades while I appreciate that the Dual blades got some attention, I would at least like an explanation behind the attack pattern change because it feels much less intuative than before.

Hey Embark ❤️ love the game, playing since S1, got all battlepasses. Gotta say though, the performance hit with the new Season makes me not wanna play 🥲 I have a pretty high end machine, and last season with all settings on High I had 99%FPS above 120. With S8 and everything on LOW I can’t get higher than 100 and it often drops to 70/80 during fights, which is really frustrating

Day four of asking to Remove MMR from ranked, I know that this channel has full of mainly negative comments but in my truthful honest opinon while some things may be frusturating to play with or against embark almost always has a good handle on things and their is weight behind decision and I'm all for it. Defib has seen nerf after nerf already. It takes longer to charge. It takes longer to revive. The revived player only has half HP and all gadgets/specs on cooldown for several seconds. The cooldown is long enough to usually prevent it from being used twice in a fight. What else do you want ? It's often better to revive slowly, especially L/H players.

Heal Beam definitely needed a buff, it had been outshined by Demat for a long time, and S7 nailed the coffin by giving Light a healing gadget that vastly outperformed it. It's now back to being useful.

Neither are a problem right now, so skill issue really.

  • keep superdash but make a super dash cost 40hp
  • buff turret to have an omni directional head and thermal vision, decrease ready time
  • change cloak to have it sample props and allow you to become a prop (throwable by team), give cloaked state detection of enemies + speed boost. when in cloaked state only hands are out, switching to a weapon or item breaks it
  • make breach charge quicker and have it deploy flash + glitch or one or the other with L/R click. or have it deploy tracking dust

Every single gadget, grenade feels VERY BAD to use. The pullout/usage of every gadget is SO MUCH SLOWER and has gotten me losses many times. While dash is fun in its OP state, its unintended and spammed in high elo already making things hard against light as a dagger player. Also you guys have kept the same under-map and elevator bugs in the game and specific dagger noreg bugs in the game since it released. I'm pretty sure you all are aware of them, but if you need elaboration just like react to this message with a thumnbs up or smth idk.

not at all new feedback, but please, regarding terminal attack:

terminal attack was indeed quite fun, a well needed break from the fast paced constant chaos of other modes like tdm or cashout. slow paced gameplay and the need for calculation and strategy allowed for much more enjoyable sessions. additionally, the inability to switch weight classes mid-match deterred ‘copy cats’ and kept gameplay consistent, which was much appreciated.

running and gunning is only fun for so long, and i do not feel as though i am alone in saying the burnout from such is real, even in these first couple days of the new season. yes, many crave the endless thrill of encounter after encounter, but there are perhaps an equal number of us who wish for a slower paced match that favors strategy over ping.

also, i must say that i find it a bit ridiculous that in replacement of terminal attack we got cashout mode 2. replacing an ‘original’ game mode for a slightly different version of one we already had was questionable, even if the replaced mode was relatively unpopular.

and to those of you who are quick to label terminal attack ‘boring’ or ‘unbalanced’, i must ask for your re-consideration. i have viewed many streams and youtube videos of the game’s content creators trying the mode, only to behave as they would in other faster paced modes. it simply does not work, and many fail to recognize their mistakes.

if terminal attack is to return, many will be grateful. if even a small count of players enjoy the mode, why remove it entirely? if you must, perhaps keep the mode as quick play only. if this post can be read before being buried beneath countless others, i hope my, our message is clear. thank you.

The destruction with the crane is too inconsistent. It will destroy houses close to the base of the crane but farther out it won't even dent buildings. Even on seoul where the crane is on normal maps, it did not do very much. I think its not heavy enough to actually carve through buildings

You shouldn't had removed Terminal Attack. Instead in Quickplay you should've replaced Quick Cash with Head2Head. People can play World Tour or Ranked if they want a cash mode with more than 2 teams. We don't need 4 cash modes.

Solo queue matchmaking is absolute dogshit, every single match is players than can barely tie their own shoes versus aim demons. The patch note about matchmaking solo was a completely fabrication lie.

Perhaps reworking it to be more similar to the H+ Emitter would help.

The H+ Emitter is extremely dynamic and versatile despite its limited range. This is because of 3 things:

  1. Fast Arm Time & Ease of Use. The ability to just start healing after a few seconds makes it more versatile and usable mid-fight and the 360° cone is easy to use.

  2. Ease of transport. Being able to carry around the item OR pick it up allows more control over its deployment.

  3. Synergy. The H+ Emitter synergises with several different items & carriables in the arena. Pyro & Gas Canisters can be lived through for longer & Heal Canisters can provide more healing in a tighter area. Gadgets such as C4 & Mines can be attached to it before it's thrown. (Its limited arc helps balance this)

With these in mind, I'd like to propose a few changes.

  1. Decrease the arm time. Increase swivel. I'd like to be able to use the turret but placing it, even when setting up a defence, leaves it too vulnerable to attacking teams. It already goes down HARD to glitch, no need to make it even worse. Allowing it to fire 360° instead of a fixed cone would allow it to actually hold space properly.

  2. Decrease the cooldowns. To put it bluntly, the recent buffs didn't do sh*t to help the turret. It solved none of it's issues. In 5 seconds a heal beam can heal 230hp and a demat can hunt down an enemy player. 5 seconds off 40 hasn't changed anything. Also, make it similar to the H+ Emitter and allow players to carry & throw it around. Make the base like those Wobbling toys that cant fall over. Make it extremely heavy, I'm talking 5m range MAX. This will allow for easier transportation & counterplay while not rendering it completely useless from just throwing it away. Maybe allow it to be armed while carrying it.

  3. Allow for new interactions between gadgets & turrets. Allow the turret to shoot detected players through smokes, balance on goo & Bounce on jump pads while still firing.

Ok, I thought demat was alright at launch of the season but after playing for multiple hours it definitely was nerfed a little too hard. Because of the white flash that prevents you from seeing whats on the other side you can’t just demat a room and start blasting it takes a seconds to know what your looking at and it is definitely a lot harder to track players through it especially if they’re far.

In my opinion, giving the demat the 3rd charge won’t make it overpowered like it used to be. Since it also takes a second longer to demat a wall it can’t be used as an easy scapegoat either in all scenarios like in the middle of a fight.

I’m not a fan of the animation slowness as a bandied fix to certain things. I understand the defibrillator but grenades and demat I don’t feel was all that necessary, the game feels very sluggish. The grenade throw animation canceling was a cool and very easy thing to do and learn which doesn’t give a player any real advantage except pacing. I definitely don’t enjoy how slow the game is becoming, maybe this was done because of new players idk but I don’t like it please revert it.sad_friend

Positive things:

  • FPS seem a lot more stable now even though theres more destruction happening in general
  • Hanging structures are wonderful made
  • Demat Nerf was necessary
  • God i love this killcam ( even though it still bugs a lot with smoke and weapons )

Negative things:

  • The new revolver is hitting a tad too hard
  • Solo matchmaking is not based on "Skill level" but instead on engagement or playtime? I am getting so many matchups against rubys even though I am around low diamond or high plat
  • Switching between weapons and gadgets and throwing gadgets feels pretty weird since the season start, its impossible to have a fluent gameplay. Something is definetly off regarding gadget use. It feels like delay or input ignoring?
  • Guardian Turret still is not in a good spot. It has too many counters to be viable at all.
  • Healing Beam was buffed too much. It outheals far too much. Maybe give it a negative factor if the healed target is being shot at?
  • Typing is impossible right on dieing. That kills a lot of communication and is frustrating. Do not block typing while killcam is being shown. Leave the chat window always on top of everything else.

Looking at all the P90 feedback. Personally, I think it's in an okay state. It shreds at close distance but the falloff makes it only really viable for close to mid-range combat. It's great if you're defending the platform in Powershift but I'd say it's pretty balanced compared to the FCAR, AKM and Famas. The pros and cons balance out...

No LFG, DMs, or open parties makes finding teammates a chore outside the game.
No Match History or Career Pages. This makes it impossible to track our performance over time, review past games, or learn from friends and rivals.
Friend status remains useless for any real-time coordination.

⚙️ Missing Basic QoL: These aren't nice-to-haves; they are standard features that impact every match.

No Ping indicator, no numerical weapon stats, and no per-contestant keybinds.
The input queue still causes frustrating missed inputs and abilities in critical moments.

Netcode/Hit Reg: Unacceptable. Still constantly dying far behind cover after leaving line of sight.

cashbox and player spawns? have they been changed for the better?
better matchmaking?
competitive integrity?
performance dip when hitting people at close range, from the coins i guess?

while i dont know or understand the top level meta in this game, these are general problems which most likely affect all levels of play and should be considered if not already fixed.

after a few matches, ranked still feels like a waste of time as a solo.

also "contestant performance" is weird. comparing a match where i won the final round and solo stomped the enemies, i got "aspiring" vs a match in which i dropped out 6/8 and played like shit, got an aspiring too.
matchmaking still feels like a joke, teammates are just clueless

conclusion: still a bad experience, probably even worse for a new player. uninstall and wait for next season.

I don't why embark still matches 2 under level 20 players against a player who's has more than 300 hours like why make the experience bad for both the groups. Why am I always left with 2 new players who ran off to two different sides on a really sweaty match. If it happend just one match I can understand. The last 5 matches i played both my teammates were very new players who dont know what to do.

Sword was never a highly used weapon. This is an undeniable fact.
So you called 'nitch weapon'. It was fine for about six seasons without any nerfs, why did you suddenly treat it like a problem and make forced changes? Nobody likes the changes to the sword. Why do you take some narrow and extreme opinions as if they represent the whole community? And why do you ignore the common opinions of the actual sword users? You just abandoned and ignored the sword community.
Calling a nerf a buff and turning the sword into a dumb M1 weapon that destroys the identity it had since beta was never wanted by any sword user. All that needs to be done is simply reverting it back to the S1 stats. With S1 stats there was no multi-hit, so no matter how much someone spins their aim, the so-called "exploit" is impossible. This is a perfect solution that sword users can also agree with, because the core mechanics of the sword remain unchanged. Any melee weapon can turn the aim to keep awareness and that is accepted, so why discriminate only against the sword? Then patch guns too so they cannot turn their aim while aiming. If you just remove multi-hit, you can solve the issue perfectly without making strange changes, so why stubbornly make things worse? Stop being so stubborn.

Every weapon, at close range, can naturally move behind an enemy or slide around and turn its aim to strike from the back. The dagger is specifically designed for this. So are you going to add aim lock to the dagger because of that? Why can’t the sword turn its aim like dagger and every weapon does? Every weapon can naturally turn its aim and strike an enemy, but the sword alone is restricted from doing so.

Just 74 M1 and 140 lunge is enough. Like in S1. That version was slightly weak. So in mid S2, you thought sword was weak and buffed multi-hit in a stealth patch. But because you were obsessed with keeping that, you made a stupid decision. You even removed functions that all other weapons can do.

Very good changes for the demat. Its balanced now.

But the Pike Change killed the Gun for me. 90% of the game you r in close to mid range combat and when you cant hipfire (they changed the hipfire accuracy) you r dead with this thing cuz of the scope and the hipfire changes. Yeah you can run iron sight but the iron sight is bad and its bullshit on mid range.

4 shots for a light is also pretty dumb. You cant get a light player now (except you hit 2 headshots while they r dashing)

Head 2 head is a mode that should have gone straight to private match. It's a perfect mode for 1v1ing another team, but as a public game it's the most boring LTM yet. It's just worse quick cash.

You removed Terminal Attack as you said you can't justify the overhead resources to support it and that's fair, BUT there is literally 4 of the same game mode in the game right now. Quick cash, world tour ranked, head 2 head 😐

Remove Head 2 head and add a party playlist that supports all of the LTM's you ever made!!!!!
AND ALSO THE MODES THAT WERE REMOVED!!!!!
Heavy hitters, the sports ball mode, BANK IT!!!!! Head 2 head, Terminal Attack, solo bank it. A TDM mode with constant gameshow events that cycle every minute! etc etc

This would be the perfect mode for casual fun and would only take up 1 matchmaking pool slot, but provide massive variety and could be the default place for LTM's to go when the events are over 😁

1 more thing. A while ago you made it so that new players can't join a game that has 3 minutes left so that people don't get annoyed. Believe me joining an ending game occasionally is a small annoyance compared to being in a 3v5 power shift for example that you know you're gonna lose.

It kinda feels like close-combat melee-heavy builds almost always get outgunned—either by lights with an SMG or now by mediums with the P90.

At least with lights, there was some balance: they dealt huge damage up close, but their low HP made it a fair trade. With mediums, though, that balance is gone.

If you actually want a fair chance, you basically need to run the Winch Claw, since its stun at least evens out the TTK against the enemy you’re trying to kill.

Bring back Terminal Attack!

Let me start by saying I have over 2000 hours in the game, mainly playing Terminal Attack. I have ranked at #3 on the leaderboard in Terminal Attack for 2 seasons in a row (season 7 & 8). I am deeply saddened and angered, as many of my friends are as well, after learning that our favorite part of the game was gone. I have suggested many times to add new maps to the game mode and you have not updated it since the changes that were made when the game went “ranked” in Season 3.
We have entire discord servers for TA players with club based participation in a growing community. This game mode has an avid hardcore following and you are leaving those players behind. Please bring back Terminal Attack.

An idea just popped into my mind.

Y'all know how they're reworking thermal? I think this might be kinda cool.

I call it the "Spotlight"
This is a specialization for the medium class. This works how it sounds. A spot light that covers an area of 60⁰ from the center of your screen. What it does is, it reveals enemies as of detected by a sonar or motion sensor. Pretty much a glorified live ping which is already in the game. This spotlight can spot through smoke, gas, and goo. Your teammates can see the spotted enemies aswell, but you enemies can see it when its active shown by a cone of light coming off their head in their team color as well as notification telling them they have been spotted.

Now for the controversial idea. Replace demant with spotlight, and make demat a gadget that must now replace one of medium's precious gadgets if the player wants to use it.

Now for smokes. Smokes must be able to be countered with explosives similar to CS2 to further add a counter to medium running smokes in combination with spotlight. As of right now frags can deactivate smoke but it disperses gradually. I want a more immediate reaction to explosive physics.

Of course other forms of balance can come from cooldowns and charges and whatnot. But the main goal is to incetivize medium to further act as a support. By giving them a spec that is much more situational and not such a necessity to have that the other two (heal beam and turret) are neglected from most builds, and where they can support the team by providing information.

I just came up with this so if there is anything I'm missing, I'd like to at the very least spark a conversation.

That is the worst take i have read on the P90 so far. Its easy to use does a good ammount of dmg if you hit your shots and is easy to pick up. You only really need headshots against heavy and medium 1v1 if their running akm or fcar. Also just calculate that 18 headshot dmg amd 16 body is about a 7.7% headshotmultiplier and note how incredably low of a multiplier that is if the body is about 80-90% of your target and the head is about 10% so also 10x harder to hit accuratly

It's a super fun an intuitive mechanic to use, although it isn't very balanced, so keep it in the game in some way.
This could be done by either:

  • using multiple charges for a superdash
  • require precise timing, and punish you for missing the timing
  • have some kind of charge up time with an indicator that you're charging a dash shown to your opponents (glowing blue and/or making a distinct sound)

Add Replay/Kill Cam Setting: Manual Trigger Option

Setting behavior: Off by default, but players can still manually trigger the replay in game whenever they want to see it.

The problem this solves: Sometimes watching live gameplay provides more valuable information(for self / teammates), and having to skip the replay every single time pulls your attention away from what matters most in the moment.

The solution for edge cases: Even when the replay setting is off, there are moments when you get killed in a unique or confusing way and you’re left wondering “what just happened?” In these situations, it would be great to press a button and instantly replay that death sequence (similar to how you can toggle the loadout display whenever you want to change it).

Playing soloQ in WT right now is horrible. Matchmaking is worst than before.

  • In pratice game, add friendly fire option

  • Increase the hip fire of the CB01-Repeater Nevermind, you just buff the dmg ...
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
    - Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did hereWhere are you people pinging me for this ?
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough. EDIT: EVEN MORE WITH THE BFR TITAN
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. The fact is, we never saw a Light META since the launch of this game. It's say a lot about the game & the balance
You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. You destroy H-Infuser. All of this because of players that can't track and kill properly a 150HP class.

The mistake was a good mistake not a bad mistake. It felt rewarding for headshots and lets me focus on headshots than bodyshots and get punished for hitting bodyshots instead

Looks like a null pointer led to the GPU not receiving the information it needed. Seems like it happened inside AMD fidelityFX, so likely not a problem with the game itself due to it happening so deep into what appears to be a stripped-down stack trace. So maybe an issue with drivers, but it might also be fixed by running with dx11 (this will not use that version of fidelityFX), and of course verify game files and such. Could also be related to a certain graphics setting

I have been in the professional Terminal Attack scene since season 6, and in that time befriended many dozens of people within that space, all of whom only ever entreated me to kindness and respect (excluding some TERMs at some times)

This was itself a small community granted, but it was precisely that fact which made it so memorable. There were around 4-6 clubs which dominated the TA space, joining one was not difficult (excluding the TERMs).

It served continuously as the best game mode for fostering community with a small social scene existing, when one man lost horribly it was reported and spread like gossip, no other game mode in The Finals created such a feeling of belonging, and that is a bad thing for them and an amazing one for TA.

Such said these points may very well still not be enough to persuade anyone with authority over this matter, due to some finite costs which must be paid to return it. If this is the case I arrogantly suggest allowing it to be paid by the TA community, either in decreasing the coverage of the game mode or an actual fundraiser. Allowing some of your (and I do not exaggerate when I say this) most dedicated and valuable players to be left in the dust due to “not wanting to crowd up the home screen” is a completely foolish decision. Bringing back TA will bring back its community, the discord servers still exist and the friendships as well.

Bringing it back mid-season may strike against the format of The Finals, however to right a wrong I do not think there are any time constraints, especially considering that if it is left as it is then what goodness and prosperity was within that community may migrate elsewhere, I do personally know many players with hundreds if not thousands of hours in The Finals who decided to leave due to this change. Bring Terminal Attack back

Chat is temporarily disabled shortly after getting eliminated, possibly due to the new instant replay feature. This is very disruptive and frustrating to players like me who use text chat for callouts, please fix. Great fun in S8, love seeing improvements to core systems and QoL.

Gadget deployment is severely delayed after the update. I find myself double or triple clicking now to deploy. Tossing a nade into weapon switch with the same timing over the past year now cancels the nade throw as it takes so long. Feels clunky, please be unintentional and revert.

Disappointed by S8. New features are nice, but you've ignored the fundamental issues since release. The game feels like it's built on a crumbling foundation.

🗣️ Fundamentally Anti-Social & Lacking Data: The game actively prevents community building and self-improvement.

No LFG, DMs, or open parties makes finding teammates a chore outside the game.
No Match History or Career Pages. This makes it impossible to track our performance over time, review past games, or learn from friends and rivals.
Friend status remains useless for any real-time coordination.

⚙️ Missing Basic QoL: These aren't nice-to-haves; they are standard features that impact every match.

No Ping indicator, no numerical weapon stats, and no per-contestant keybinds.
The input queue still causes frustrating missed inputs and abilities in critical moments.

⚠️ Critical Gameplay Flaws:

Netcode/Hit Reg: Unacceptable. Still constantly dying far behind cover after leaving line of sight.
Ranked System: The awful RS system rewards last-minute griefing over consistent performance, making most of the match feel pointless. Tie RS gain to in-game cash earned to reward skill and create underdog bonuses.
Still no ranked solo queue.
Respawn Logic: Still broken. Adding more spawns doesn't fix the core logic of enemies appearing between a defending team and the cashout.
Audio Bugs: Game-breaking audio bugs like silent footsteps and incorrect directional cues persist, ruining competitive integrity.
Balance: The passive healing meta was buffed, not nerfed, further reducing the skill gap and slowing down fights.

💳 Predatory Monetization:

Still no local currency pricing or direct buy. Forcing players to buy Multibucks first is an anti-consumer practice that feels disrespectful to the player base.

Please, show the community you're listening. Prioritize fixing the core experience.

TERMINAL ATACK REMOVED!! MY FAVOURITE MODE!! Instead of remodeling and trying making the game more engaging like enabling switching specialization to counter tactics, etc.. you guys removed the MOST strategic game mode and reduced the entire game to basically 4 EQUAL non-tactic modes with crazy random spawns everywere (Fortnite like...), were luck is a major factor to victory. Four equal modes, one tdm and one powershift..... After 1150 hours in this game this makes me very sad. And there's some other feedback to make the game better: a light nerf because a single light shoudn't wipe an entire team, fix guns range so lights can't shoot you halfway across the map with a supposedly no range bb gun, a 2 seconds delay between dashes (lights pop up, spend their clip and triple dash away before you even get a lock on to retribute...), remove the 1 HIT KILL on the knife and add a stun or something else, 1 hit kill is absurd, nerf light sword, fix GOO GRENADE when you trow this shit comes back at you and goo yourself instead of making walls 100% of the time, when you goo a roof it makes two useless goo balls.. It started glitching after season one and it never came back. It could have a 'preview' of the wall you're about to make before throwing it. Stop spawning us 200m from the objective. Allow cash steal to be done after the time is up if you clicked before the time run out (so we have a precise timing to start stealing at the last moment and not guess the mark around the last 6 seconds). TURRET should be portable like CHUCK. Breach charge makes the tinyest hole in a wall, it should tear it down. Items placed at the back of the moving plataform tend to slip fall of the plataform (mines, goo grenade etc). The shield cover area is too big. It should be possible to escape a heavy after a winch claw but its almost impossible, making an almost certain kill to a heavy that barelly has to aim (so maybe remove the damage of the winch, or give a fighting chance to the victim).

While I do think demat, winch, and dash are too oppressive, I don’t think nerfs like you just have to demat and winch are the solution. Demat was strong, yes, but it was also picked because heal beam was outclassed (and still kinda is) and guardian is just shit. Winch was strong, I think the nerf was fine, but again the other options aren’t too good. Mesh, charge, and goo are all decent but I wouldn’t say they’re great . And for light, dash is a great choice but cloak barely functions as a cloak and grapple is situational. Instead of nerfing strong but fair options we need to buff decent but outclassed options (also a nerf to dash might just kill sword even more)

Adjustements that need to be made:

  • Make so that our actual player number fits the one on the arena screens and ingame player cards. It gets randomized for everyone
  • Emotes and gestures go nicely together. But please make so that the other wheels is shared between sprays, emoticons and sounds. I don't wanna have to sacrifice dope emotes for a lame emoticons.
  • Would be nice to see the ennemy bullets and keep track of it when spectating a instant-replay = so put ennemy player card a little bit higher
  • Quickly add more flags into the game! I'm happy Brasil got lots of love, but many EU countries been left out 🙁

Add outer threshold as a setting in the controller settings.
This helps make sure that look boost will consistently kick in, in case it doesn't.
This can improve the experience whilst solely on analog sticks to aim.

And, add a setting that allows for a time delay before look boost starts ramping up in the controller settings.
This helps by making the speed at which we turn our camera more consistant when we need to turn faster to adjust.
This can, again, improve the experience whilst only using analog sticks to aim.

Finally, please allow us to adjust the look boost time to two decimal places.
Only being able to adjust to one decimal place is pretty limiting.

Sword was never a highly used weapon. This is an undeniable fact.
So you called 'nitch weapon'. It was fine for about six seasons without any nerfs, why did you suddenly treat it like a problem and make forced changes? Nobody likes the changes to the sword. Why do you take some narrow and extreme opinions as if they represent the whole community? And why do you ignore the common opinions of the actual sword users? You just abandoned and ignored the sword community.
Calling a nerf a buff and turning the sword into a dumb M1 weapon that destroys the identity it had since beta was never wanted by any sword user. All that needs to be done is simply reverting it back to the S1 stats. With S1 stats there was no multi-hit, so no matter how much someone spins their aim, the so-called "exploit" is impossible. This is a perfect solution that sword users can also agree with, because the core mechanics of the sword remain unchanged. Any melee weapon can turn the aim to keep awareness and that is accepted, so why discriminate only against the sword? Then patch guns too so they cannot turn their aim while aiming. If you just remove multi-hit, you can solve the issue perfectly without making strange changes, so why stubbornly make things worse? Stop being so stubborn.

Every weapon, at close range, can naturally move behind an enemy or slide around and turn its aim to strike from the back. The dagger is specifically designed for this. So are you going to add aim lock to the dagger because of that? Why can’t the sword turn its aim like dagger and every weapon does? Every weapon can naturally turn its aim and strike an enemy, but the sword alone is restricted from doing so.

Just 74 M1 and 140 lunge is enough. Like in S1. That version was slightly weak. So in mid S2, you thought sword was weak and buffed multi-hit in a stealth patch. But because you were obsessed with keeping that, you made a stupid decision. You even removed functions that all other weapons can do.

Sledge hasn't felt good to play in ages. Hit registration sucks let alone actually being able to chase someone down. How did the Dash bug make it into the new season?

I can't see the E-Sports angle panning out. It feels like a detriment to the casual base.

Ks-23 doesnt work as close combat weapon. No amount of utility or small tweaks to reliability will compensate for removal of melee and claw cancel. It simply has no fighting chance against automatic or melee weapon. I dont get why you are penalized so much for even attempting to melee even though melee combo cant hit any break point. Please Embark reduce claw dmg to 1 (so it at least give hp info) but give ks-23 +5 damage. The fact you cant even add melee after 2 slugs into p90 guy who runs circles around you with higher dps automatic (even without counting for headshots) makes ks-23 feel like a bad joke. Also when sledge heavy winches you you have to hit four i mean FOUR slugs as he 2 taps you. There is no chance its just checkmate. Ability to kill heavy with 3 slugs + melee is necessary if you want to make ks-23 viable

Season 8 looks cool but there are some issues that still need to be fixed. This game has huge potential but if the core gameplay is rough, you're gonna shoot yourself in the foot over and over again.

It's impossible to play a competitive game when hit reg is an issue. Sure you fixed the "hitmakers". Ok cool now I can see more clearly when I hit my target and they take zero damage. Ping is an issue. Why do I get thrown in matches where I'm dying behind cover? Hard to play ranked or WT with inconsistent gameplay. This can never be a competitive game or even a fun game when these things happen.

Bring back Terminal Attack!

Those adrenaline filled moments that occurred only in TA, the 1v5 or 1v3 or 1v1 scenarios, defending or attacking the terminal, when someone could have a glory filled moment to win the game for their team. Those moments don’t occur, or at least not in the same way, when playing the other game modes. The competitive nature of the search and destroy mode is what keeps hardcore players returning to FPS games. It’s why there is a similar game mode in most other shooters.

Game balance feels pretty good right now, but hard to be sure due to server lag and no-reg hit issues. Also, dying while well behind cover due to how server reconciles ping differences is very frustrating.

I think you should focus on addressing these issues, overall stability and server performance before doing any other major balances sweeps.

Oh, and show full network stats dangit! :D

i dont understand the idea behind adding in ranged weapons that can effectively two tap or one-tap melee combo two of the three classes. The BFR is in essence, a sniper without the scope, but none of the downsides of the sniper.
TTK is damn near a one shot for a Light, Mediums can be two tapped by it and this is at most engagement ranges. it's going to beat a pike in a duel, 48x1.5 headshot multiplier is only 72 damage, the BFR is doing 147. It's a sniper rifle without a scope, no long rechamber, plays into the heavy's winch claw one shot clown show and has a slightly long reload time, nevermind it being one of the highest DPS guns in the game with an insane ttk at all ranges despite a slow fire rate.

Good evening dear Finalists!

I had a little feedback for the ranked experience, currently we always play tournament mode, which is a great mode, however, repetitiveness and unlucky games can very quickly take the fun out of this experience. A suggestion on how to tackle this problem would be a rotation of the game modes within the ranked mode. Randomization of the game modes played.

Once match it could be the normal cash-out tournament mode, the next game it would be a tournament style bank-it, while the game after that could be a tournament style terminal attack (this would require some changes to keep it 3v3 but you get the idea.)

What would this help?
Less repetitiveness.
More flexibility in different types of builds to use in different game modes.
Less gaming fatigue
Reduce risk of 'raging', new game mode, new mentality.
Opportunities to add new game modes within competitive if they don't work you can take them out again.

There are a lot of benefits that could be explored with this type of game layout and could help with player burnout as well and increase game retention while maintaining happy players

Something worth considering.

Game Feedback - Key Issues & Requests

Gadget Input Delay Issue
Throwing gadgets (pyro, goo, etc.) now requires holding the trigger longer for successful tosses. Normal quick inputs now result in cancelled throws. Unsure if this is a bug or an intentional change, but it feels much worse.

Manual Replay/Kill Cam Setting (Made longer feedback on this today):
Add toggle setting (off by default) that lets players manually trigger replays when desired (instead of auto on). Could also work as picture-in-picture with view-swap option.

Demat Changes
Overall changes feel good, but experiencing lag before the wall opens (possibly server lag from new season launch).

Pregame Scope Selection
Add option to change weapon scopes while in pregame lobby before each round starts. (Also useful in practice range mode to test new scopes before buying)

Scope Preview/Testing
Add ability to preview scopes from the equipment menu before purchasing (similar to gun animation previews). At minimum, include short videos or image showing how each scope looks in-game looking down the sight.

Per-Loadout Keybindings
Allow unique keybindings and sensitivity settings for each loadout (similar to Overwatch/Marvel Rivals). Use case: When using sword or dagger builds, want to rebind dash ability to different button for easier access. (Also want different sensitivity settings for sword/dagger vs shield vs hammer).

Please, automatically disable the feature of 'clan' members teaming up against the ranked scoring system. I come across people who very clearly 'smurf' lower score players who then end up with very poor performance. There is nothing to be done about it on peoples' side, besides block + report.

This could be tackled by the system itself, simply deny parties with 'delta' above a specific threshold. A very simple thing to do.
I have also had very negative overall experience with 'clans', where they often just troll, e.g. AFK with the box in hands, use collateral for team damage and similar actions. They abuse the external VC to team up and grief.

This has probably been suggested before but a couple things i would love regarding recent cosmetics from the passes
-Add a separate customization option for Ultimate BP weapons with special VFX like you've just done separating the VFX from the Head pieces of certain skins.
-Have an extra eye color in the "Odin" Skins where both eyes are visible, for both versions of it. I know that being Odin it makes sense to only have one but at the same time it makes it so they don't trully fit when used with anything else, hell, there aren't even face options with eye scars to make it look bad ass

Demat feels miserable. I'm all for making it readable but it did not need to lose a charge. Slowing down the activation time when you go to use it is awful as well. It feels clunky and much more situational.

Honestly medium as a whole feels completely miserable to play still, even if they buffed the other specializations and gave us a new gun. It moreso feels like we're being forced over to heal beam and turret.

PS, Skill Based Matchmaking is never a good thing. Please consider taking it out of the game

Death cam ascend needs to have a mapping in the options, if you accidentally remap space or have a secondary mapping for jump, you lose it and can not get it back without restoring defaults.

Day five of asking to remove MMR from Ranked matchmaking specifically.
What was replied to me yesterday is something that may seem true to someone who doesn't understand the matchmaking system but is actually false. In ranked The difficulty system doesn't determine how tough your match will be it just means your stack either has more or less RS than the other teams. This allows for matches to be "Easy or Very Easy" and still be the hardest games you've had all day that you get knocked 6th place as first seed all because you won your last two games. This makes it so that the seeding system that they are currently using is just a puppet system that holds no real purpose because all it feeds you is false info or hope while the real game ahead is going to be much more difficult which you'll find yourself getting neutered rewards for.

Idea: Nerf riot shield as to add a stagger that lasts 2-3 seconds after blocking 400 dmg or so. nerf reflect/ block of dual blades and stagger after 250 dmg or so and reduce speed while using riot shield. just PLEASE balance them they're busted.

add a one shot finger pistol to heavies and mediums then bring back superdash but only to mediums and heavies. Make all light weapons self-inflicted too, dox all melee players for wanting to play a different playstyle and enjoy the game.

I would really, really love it if grappling hook and winch claw had indicators that you're within range of what you're aiming at. Basically like in Titanfall 2. And also a small bar below the crosshair to indicate cooldown. Also like Titanfall 2, but for all abilities.

New translations to Russian are incorrect or sound weird for major game-related terms (like words "Cashout" became "Cash handout", "Vault" became "Stash", "Goo" became "Slime" (???) ... I counted more than 20+ suggestions).

World Tour teaches players how ranked works and a ranked experience grinding ranks without the fear of dropping
Ranked Cashout is the proper rank mode?

Why not Remove Quick Cash and put in Bank it in the place, as bank it is a True casual Kill confirmed deathmatch mode and Bank it has a very large audience and especially in customs?

Bring Back Bank it Embark. its stupid that you removed it when it brought a community together. its very obvious especially after you read game feed back (if you even read this)

Since the Season 8 release, I’ve been running into a bug where I can’t respawn. The only input that works is the ESC key, while the spacebar and other buttons don’t do anything at all. It happens in about 1 out of every 5 matches, which isn’t too bad but still super frustrating when it happens.

One time, after being revived, I couldn’t move at all. Again, only ESC worked while every other input was dead. I ended up being kicked for inactivity, even though I couldn’t do anything about it.

Really frustrating experience.

we need input based matchmaking now that consoles can play with keyboard and mouse, what's the real point of having a crossplay toggle if most of console players are going to be on M&K? plus that'd be better than what console vs console originally even was, because anyone on a controller, even on a pc, can now have a balanced and fair fighting environment

TERMINAL ATACK REMOVED!! MY FAVOURITE MODE!! Instead of remodeling and trying making the game more engaging like enabling switching specialization to counter tactics, etc.. you guys removed the MOST strategic game mode and reduced the entire game to basically 4 EQUAL non-tactic modes with crazy random spawns everywere (Fortnite like...), were luck is a major factor to victory. Four equal modes, one tdm and one powershift..... After 1150 hours in this game this makes me very sad. And there's some other feedback to make the game better: a light nerf because a single light shoudn't wipe an entire team, fix guns range so lights can't shoot you halfway across the map with a supposedly no range bb gun, a 2 seconds delay between dashes (lights pop up, spend their clip and triple dash away before you even get a lock on to retribute...), remove the 1 HIT KILL on the knife and add a stun or something else, 1 hit kill is absurd, nerf light sword, fix GOO GRENADE when you trow this shit comes back at you and goo yourself instead of making walls 100% of the time, when you goo a roof it makes two useless goo balls.. It started glitching after season one and it never came back. It could have a 'preview' of the wall you're about to make before throwing it. Stop spawning us 200m from the objective. Allow cash steal to be done after the time is up if you clicked before the time run out (so we have a precise timing to start stealing at the last moment and not guess the mark around the last 6 seconds). TURRET should be portable like CHUCK. Breach charge makes the tinyest hole in a wall, it should tear it down. Items placed at the back of the moving plataform tend to slip fall of the plataform (mines, goo grenade etc). The shield cover area is too big. It should be possible to escape a heavy after a winch claw but its almost impossible, making an almost certain kill to a heavy that barelly has to aim (so maybe remove the damage of the winch, or give a fighting chance to the victim).

Bring back TA! Having 4 versions of the same gamemode is boring, and TDM/PS are just warmup modes.
We were told TA was here to stay and it was taken away with absolutely ZERO heads up.
Some balance issues like backfilling games and making it more casual may make it more palleteable for other players.
We know you hear us Embark! You're losing players and money because it wasn't "popular enough" which is BS anyway.

What's going on with the audio? It's not a volume issue, there is literally a bug with audio cues being completely nonexistent. @teal ermine @brave blaze ect

Since 8 dropped 3/5 times being revived as a heavy, if I am hitting attack or even in a menu when im getting revived it freestyles all controller input except for the emote, which can't be even preformed but it's the only button that works without having to restart the damn game. Wired controller, never has this issue before the split and I've even replugged during to no help.
