Change the ranked RBMM into SBMM maybe somewhat so that the game counts your four last games and how you played in them and sets an average score from them which decides what players it pairs you up in your lobby. The game would continue to look at the scores of your current last four games and chance your average score according to it. And ofc it would take your current rank to account, so that you still play against players in the same rank.

Sure, it might make queues to games longer, but it will be a lot more fair and easier for lower ranks to play and progress, when playing against people of the same skill level.

Hi, Embark.
I've been playing since the Beta version, and from the very beginning, I really liked the sledgehammer. I played exclusively with it for a year and a half — I knew all the timings, played well, and was in the top 3 players in Europe in Quick Cash, and top 10 globally.
After the nerf, the sledgehammer became completely unplayable. Combos don’t work, and any decent player above Gold rank can easily dodge the hits.
It would've been better if you had nerfed the knife, so it couldn’t kill a Medium with one hit

Seriously bring back Sledge and also nerf KS. At this point KS is a ranged sledgehammer with the same damage (since charged attack is pointless to use now). It's crazy how the normal attack on sledge does as much damage as a shot from KS whilst KS has range.. Sledge should dominate close range and having good movement and knowing how to engage should be rewarded.

Be a dead simple rework too. Ten bullets, ten damage each, a hundred structural damage each. Put it in whatever pretty shape you want (ten pin bowling would be a nice one) and bam, KS23 immediately goes up a letter grade via sheer consistency.

The several new cosmetics are bugged or do not work as intended.

The new .50 Akimbos skins are very buggy and can suddenly spawn way more particles than they should, causeing huge frame drops, specifically talking about Stacktrace Reaper and Verisect Duality. (Same thing was happening at the and of last season with Sl.e.d.gehammer and Ember Crush skins, where they would spawn way too many particles, resulting in massive framedrops as well.

The Neurosplice Terminal does not modify the voice at all and Sal's Halo "modifies" the voice to the same pitch and sound regardless of the original voice.

The new cosmetics are amazing and I wish using them would be as satisfying as looking on them in contestant editor.

Bringing this up again as Thursday nears and it would be nice to hear this issue addressed.

There is currently a bug where melee attacking while sliding stops the slide and kills all your momentum, the frequency of the bug scales with the lunge distance value of the attack, making it very common on spear and dual blades, and less common on dagger. I would like to have either it fixed, or to be able to turn melee lunge off until it is fixed

FIX THE GAME:

  1. Stop changing the FoV when only using left click with Bow. Why'd you program the extra zoom on right click if you were just gonna zoom on every shot? Make this toggleable with [Reload] for those who still want it for some reason.
  2. Make SH1900's pellet spread a symmetrical, orderly pattern like every other shotgun.
  3. Change Dematerializer's visual effect to stop making it refract light. It's annoying as fuck when you're trying to aim through it and people are actually a little more left or right than they appear. People still put their Effects setting on Medium just to help mitigate this.
  4. When you detect someone with Tracking Dart, the glittery effect that indicates where they are obscures their actual player model.
  5. This glitter effect itself is obscured by smoke. Why can you sense people through walls but not smoke? Bug?
  6. There are weapons whose actions can be swiftened by swapping to and from a gadget. For example, ShAK-50 reloads faster if you cancel the reload animation, and Dual Blades lets you stop swinging and instead start deflecting. This is unintuitive behavior that arbitrarily raises the skill floor and just makes the game more annoying to control. Remove all instances where gadget-swapping helps swiften actions and maybe buff those actions to compensate, like letting the ShAK-50 just reload faster in general.
  7. Add a setting to make the crosshair visible at all times, even when you're aiming down sights. You already allow third-party crosshairs, so...
  8. Allow us to see ping and other networking stats in-game.
  9. Buff the underperforming weapons. Sword, Sledgehammer, and Model 1887 should be obvious picks to start with.
  10. Rework Cloak and Vanish Bomb into being true invisibility, not this shimmering bullshit. You can increase the noise, give it a decloaking period, give the user a damage penalty, etc. to balance it.
  11. Make canisters explode when they first hit terrain. Current physics suck.
    And leave CL-40 alone...

if X does 90 dmg that makes it actually useful against H and makes the combos more forgiving against M if u miss a hit without making it abusable in any way i can think of

100+60+65=225

this change makes the combos more flexible and makes missing one slash not as punishing
for example the best combo vs M is A+B=220 +qm for 260dmg
if u miss one slash from A + both B = 170 so now u have to do the slow X for only 65 =235 not enough to kill the M and u still have to qm, its the same if u hit 2A and miss one B =160 +X=225 +qm
if X did 90 then missing one slash on either A or B makes X still finish the M without qm

as it is right now X is almost never used its pretty much always better to qm instead of X

The current approach to nerfs is going too far. Everything is getting weaker. Stop nerf.Just buff underperforming and unfairly nerfed things. Nerf parrots never stop. When something gets nerfed, they whine to nerf something else.

If you keep listening to people who ask for nerfs not because something is op,but just because it annoys them(cause skill issue), of course the game will fall apart.

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all.Right now, can't even use it against Light.That value was calculated and made sense in terms of balance.

Everyone knows Dagger,Sword and all melee get countered by Light.But you nerfed Sword while pretending it was for the sake of Lights, even though it was obviously done to benefit Mediums.
Medium has the highest pick rate and top performance in WT and ranked.There’s a reason people started saying ā€œThe Mediumsā€.
Heavy is still powerful at close range,so melee isn’t even a threat to them.

Medium has tons of tools to counter melee: turrets, mines, goo grenade, glitch trap, dematerializer, jump pad, zip line, proximity sensor, and a bunch of weapons. And still,these skill-issue players cry for nerfs to melee and weak wepon even though they already have all those tools.They just can’t handle melee because of a skill issue.
I play all class,melee was never a problem when I played Medium or Heavy(not to mention Light).But because of these dumb whining, stuff that wasn’t even meta got nerfed.That’s how you ruin patches.

About Double Barrel,you nerfed it, then reverted it.Because Light has low HP, so it needs to have high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it needs to 2-tap Heavy.That balance was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword.Nerfing melee dmg is saying ā€œdon’t use it.ā€It’s the same mistake as with DB. Sword was built around close-range and low health.it required specific damage combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140.

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either add a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

  2. Right now, everyone sees their own character in the center at match start. It’d be great if everyone saw the same thing — that way, being in the center would actually feel meaningful.

  2. I think it would be cool to add a light upgrade system for abilities or weapons — nothing too extreme. For example, Light’s dash could have two upgrade paths: one that gives you an extra charge (so 4 instead of 3), and another that lets you dash through walls once every 30 seconds. These upgrades could unlock at certain ability levels. I believe this kind of system would make builds more interesting and encourage players to experiment with different combinations.

Feedback for THE FINALS – Legacy Battle Pass System

I’ve been an active player since Season 1 of THE FINALS, and one of the things I really appreciated was the feeling of owning exclusive items tied to that time. It felt special — like a recognition of having been there from the beginning.

Now that those Battle Pass items are available again through Legacy Passes, it feels like that exclusivity is gone. The unique value of those cosmetics is diminished, and it honestly takes away some of the pride I had in unlocking them back then.

I totally understand that you want to support new players and give them access to cool cosmetics. But I believe there’s a middle ground that could respect both sides. For example:

Add an ā€œOGā€ tag or visual effect for players who unlocked items during the original season.

Make visual variants for re-released cosmetics.

Or keep certain premium items permanently exclusive to the original season.

This way, new players can still enjoy content, but early supporters won’t feel like their efforts and timing are being overlooked. I love THE FINALS — it’s a fantastic game — but this change genuinely feels like a step backward for long-time players.

A small suggestion for the ā€œMuteā€ button. I think you should add the ability to mute voice and text channels separately. I found that the ā€œMuteā€ button does not block text chat. The only way to protect yourself from toxic behavior in chat is to block the player, but even then there is a limit of 50 people on my account.

In the patchnotes, you said that sledge was a "top three" weapon.

So why did we not nerf the "top one" weapon instead? Did we nerf sledge just because it was the last "good" melee weapon? I really don't understand why we had to kill off the melee playstyles just because you didn't like them getting good stats.

The Arrowhead Studios controversy occurred around this time last year and I wanted to chime in to give some thoughts about what occurred that may be useful or not. They're just a stones throw from Embark and had a similar situation with regards to balance.

After months of constant nerfs, reworks, and removal of fun strategies that players had made for themselves, Joel (Then CEO) tweeted out in response to a fan's frustrations that something did need to be looked at if the balance was constantly deflecting interesting (and more importantly, fun!) playstyles that weren't part of a strict meta. The principles here are definitely similar.

Helldivers 2 solved their balance issues by shifting their focus away from what is being used and instead buffing the myriad of weapons and stratagems already in the game that weren't being picked up. That balance patch took months, and it was a little painful, but the end result has been an extremely healthy game that respects the majority of combinations and weird jokey loadouts people make for themselves. The only downside has been introducing new items to that pool (They often come out under baked, or underpowered.) but I'd personally rather have new stuff introduced weaker to be buffed later than the reverse. It's hard to use something only for it to be tweaked into oblivion later. You can alienate the people who picked it up in the first place.

Pick rates, class win rates, top 3 weapons, none of these words mean much to me personally as a player/consumer. They don't have any bearing on my day-to-day matches. I don't care about what the top 3 weapons are, or whether X class is picked over Y X amount of times. Instead, I want to know what isn't being used and why. What can you do today to make something unloved a better part of the ecosystem tomorrow.

Hot take: CL-40 does not need a nerf. I personally never use it because of how hard it is to make it work well compared to other guns. It may be annoying and spammy, but it’s fairly easy to counter in a 1v1. I only say not to nerf it because there have been so many nerfs recently. I don’t want to see another nerf until we get at least three significant buffs (start with sword, sledge, and dagger)

Anyone who has tried using the Hammer after this patch knows it's completely trash now.
And that's exactly what happened to the Sword.

I completely agree! The reasoning Embark uses to justify the "noob-tube" CL-40 grenade launcher in the game, while allowing it for close-quarters combat (CQC) is messed up.

The fact that it takes a bunny hopping noob with CL-40 3 half-ass splash shots to kill me in CQC range, yet it takes the high-skill weapons like the CB-01 Repeater 3 shots to the body and .357 Revolver 4 body shots is just outragous.

Embark left the low-skill requirement CL-40 grenade launcher this annoyingly overpowered just to sell microtransactions.

There is clearly issues going on when S7, (a banger of a season as it is) isn't followed by the arrival of a wave a many players.
I've talked to the finals players in multiple chats, and alot admit to only play quickcash or powershift.

People aren't coming for fun anymore. In every game, u are against the SAME PLAYERS, that are sweating, that have 12h+ per day on the game, and doesnt do anything else other than The Finals. It has become a J*B.

I am loving the new UI changes. It's clean, clear and stylish.
But please make the 'Active Event' indicater bigger again. I've noticed that both I (and often also my teammates) are unaware or forget it's low grav.
It does not need to cover half the screen, like in the past, but it currently feels to tiny to be noticable in the chaotic environment of The Finals

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either add a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

We need more harsh punishments for leaving comtetive matches such as WT and Ranked. So many WT teammtes leaving and not recconecting because they simple are bad at the game. If a player willingly leaves the match they should get a 12-24-36 hour ban and so on if repeated after that.

I agree for skill gap. Embark prefers you to get into a game as fast as possible, instead prioritizing a fair game. They'd prefer a bronze/gold player to be paired with a Ruby or emerald player if it took less than 2 min to find that game. I find this the most stupid thing on the planet. Id way way prefer to wait 5min maybe even 10min to join a game that is FAIR and im playing against people my rank. There are so many basement kids in this game is insane, whos primary focus in their sad life is to reach Ruby. At LEAST give us a option to choose wait 10min for a fair game or a fast game... The game is dying, and im 99% sure its because new players dont want to stay as they are thrown directly in the deep end with bricks tied to their feet. the sprint bug didn’t happen every game to heavies (and every couple games for every other class)

there wasn’t a chance of a single person randomly having 500 ping until he reopens his game (for an entire ranked tournament, with fine internet and a normal connection to everything else)

we want to see changes whithin the maps, at this point,this will reduce the repetitive feeling 100x more effective than another map. new maps are important too, but less maps with more variations are better than more maps with no variation.

inputideas:

  • events like the one in monaco where the church got destroyed, maybe the missing buildings could also get replaced with something different.

-Instead of a central Cashout, crates rain down across the map.
Effects:
5–10 low-value Cash Crates appear everywhere.
Teams must choose: hunt crates or defend the main Cashout?

  • A massive sinkhole opens in the center or edge of the map.
    Effects:
    Entire structures fall into the hole and are permanently lost.
    New underground combat zone opens up with close-quarters combat.
    Zip lines or ropes allow quick traversal in and out.

-A new high-rise or platform structure is built mid-match.
Offers new verticality and positions.
Players can destroy it again if they want to reclaim open space

-A large section of the map (a platform or building) begins to rotate.

The cl-40 should be a light weapon not a medium. The only reason its dis liked is that it need no real reason to aim just be close which puts other at a disadvantage because they have to hit a decent amount of head shots to stop them. If it was left as is and swapped to a light it would not be as big o deal and would still be as deadly but have a better risk to reward ratio.

I know you guys most likely have all these seasons planned out, and are already working on a workload of new stuff for Season 8, but a Demonic themed season would be absolutely sick! Imagine a map based off of the underworld?! Since this season has also introduced modified body types, we can have demon bodies (humanoid of course) but wouldn't that be insane? Imagine all the cool combos and stuff players could create with demons (and possibly an angel faction as a sponsor as well) halos, wings, and all sorts of stuff that goes well will a Demons (and Angels) themed season! Not saying you guys should take this and use it, but it would be SUPER cool to see, consider my wallet drained if it happens.

I’m fine with every build getting a healing option but I can’t understand why the heavy has a ball they can just sit beside them where they can still use there gun,spear, or whatever. If anything the light should get the ā€œhealing ballā€ On top of that dome and mesh shields already the hardest to kill in the game. The healing option should be the same as medium and light where it’s some sort of gun and when they pull it out it takes away there gun. CL-40's skill floor is low but is OBSOLETED by Revolver, Pike, Repeater, and Model. All of those weapons kill EVERY class faster than CL-40 can. CL-40 has plenty of counters, but if you want even more, ASK TO BUFF UNDERPERFORMING WEAPONS BEFORE NERFING MORE STUFF INTO THE GROUND.

Quick Cash and Power Shift need adjustments ASAP. Too many games this season I have played versus full-stack teams that are NOT playing the objective and instead are stalling the objective so that they can farm kills to buff up their stats. I am currently in a quick cash match that has had no cashouts deposited, and the leading team has a total of 40 kills all together. They are hogging the cashbox. Seeing this too much and it is seriously unhealthy for this game.

I agree with this guy, @rigid shale , the CL-40 should specialize in crowd control, but now it's more of a "Ol-Reliable" tool and requires less aim then hitscan weapons (imo the biggest problem with the CL-40 is the less crunch of not having to aim your shots, just in the general direction of the user which causes this frustration, no one likes having to aim their shots while the opponent can just blind fire it and get the same effect). If the damage was on a hitscan weapon there would most likely be less complaints due to the opponent having to aim precisely, leading to less frustration at the general weapon but more at the player (overall a better thing to be mad at).

As @tacit skiff said, the RPG does 100 damage, but it has one use, plus is on cool down, and has a longer reload time. The RPG despite it's high damage is fine due to these factors balancing it out, however the CL-40 is 100 damage but doesn't have a cool down and a faster reload.

Imo, lower the damage from 100, maybe to 50-70 range, it's still strong, and if the opponent doesn't respect it the 50-70 damage will hurt a lot, but it won't just outright delete other players without giving them a chance to escape. But this number can vary from person to person. Also, if you want to, make it so that jumping doesn't make the self-inflicted damage be softened, and do the same as if the user was on the ground. That way the opponent can't just jump and shoot at the ground, we still need the counterplay of getting close to the user where they have the risk of taking self damage.

Is there really any reason to delay?Sword and sledge were fine. They were never meta even before the nerf. They only showed up occasionally in WT and Ranked. Anyone playing just one match could see that.The fact that only a few use these weapons means the weaker players dropped off and only the skilled remain. Of course, skilled players perform well.

There are many examples of games ruined by listening to Reddit, self-proclaimed pros, and scrim groups who follow their own rules, so why are you trying to follow that losing path? Those people don’t help the game at all. If it’s not the weapon they use, they just call it no-skill and whine for nerfs.

Nerf parrots’ arguments don’t make sense. Some idiot said you shouldn’t be able to lunge and dash, but you made the sword exactly for that. It has been designed that way since beta.
And the hammer is too strong in melee and needs a nerf? Hammer is supposed to be strong up close. It has to be. If the slowest class comes into melee range, it should be powerful. But now hammer’s left click does 100 dmg? It’s the same damage as the KS you can use from a distance? Does that make any sense balance-wise?
The sword is the same. The DPS of melee is lower than that of guns you can use at range? Light classes only have 150 HP, and melee weapons must get close to deal any dmg.
Sword and hammer are melee. They require high damage output to compete with other weapons in close range.

To be clear,I’m not saying any things need a nerf.
I just want underperforming weapons to actually be usable.
Fix the damage.I’m tired of weapons getting nerfed just because people dislike them(cause skill issue).

50-70 damage would genuinely kill the weapon without a significant rpm and ammo increase (i know thats probably what a lot of cl40 haters want)

it needs to do at least 90 damage to be effective as a weapon at all, imo the only nerf it needs is a slight radius decrease (3m to about 2.7m maybe) and for splash damage to start at ~80 (i think it starts at 90 atm) to make it reward precision more, they should also be rewarded for jumping while shooting, thats arguably a bigger show of skill than a lot of other things people are rewarded for in this game

Suggestion to add a pseudo-legacy battlepass which features cosmetics that were earnable in events. Could have the same access cut-off as Legacy Battlepasses, so event items from two seasons before won't be in it yet.

It'd be nice to have a way to earn cosmetics that dozens of players have missed out on during periods where the game was mostly populated by the much more dedicated core fanbase.

Alternatively, one for World Tour weeklies rewards would also be fun to have, though mainly because Season 2's was packed with some nice rewards.

Yes, there's actually a HUGE difference... 35% to be exact. And not only that, the "aim magnetism" mechanic of the reticle means that a player with bad AIM can even get 3-5 kills per match, whereas a player with bad AIM using a mouse wouldn't get a single miserable kill per match.

If controller players want to play with AIM Assists, that's perfectly fine with me, I understand that the controller needs it, of course I do, but then they should only play among other controller players. That's what's FAIR and LOGICAL. I've played other games with a controller and argued that I shouldn't be matched with players using a mouse. In The Finals, I use a mouse, and I argue that I shouldn't be with controller players, regardless of the platform they play on, because the platform defines absolutely nothing... what defines the difference is whether they play with a controller or a mouse.

Any player who queues for a match using a mouse and then switches to a controller mid-game should be immediately expelled and sanctioned. The same goes for anyone who queues with a controller and then switches to a mouse. The Finals already has HUGE balancing problems, let alone making everything EVEN more unfair by mixing mouse players with players who have a 35% AIM Assist.

i think we need a hud safezone. on my ultrawide monitor the health is way on the edge of the screen! most games like to keep the hud in a 16:9 area even when the monitor has a greater aspect ratio, because it keeps the hud where it should be. on a 39 inch ultrawide monitor, having the health in the far left corner literally means diverting your eyes away from the person ur shooting. Embark I'd really like for Bullseye Barry to get the target dummy voice from firing range that you recently gave to the crash test dummy skin. Both deserve it.

Weapons wise CL40 should get a nerf that's more so balancing than a sever nerf. Lower explosive radius to make it require more skill to be effective with would be nice.

The only other thing would be that I think flat out gutting melee weapons is a bad idea as they offer alot of fun to players and seperate this game from alot of shooters.
That sentence from the last patch notes about people not being able to win against sledge up close being the reason for a nerf is so dumb. People SHOULDN'T be able to win against sledge up close. Stay 5 meters away and shoot em LOL

About the premium battle pass.

Over the seasons, it has become clear that "permanent" players who form the consistent playerbase of The Finals can often maintain the amount of multibucks needed to pay for the premium battle pass at no extra need to put more money into the game.

However, this is the kind of player that is no longer as benefitial as they were in the beginning.

The way more content is added to The Finals has changed drastically for the better. It is of higher quality and introduced more frequently. While the main player count is mostly stagnant, inflation and the extra work Embark has to go through to upkeep a more and more complex game goes now disproportionately under-rewarded.

I think it very safe to say that players who have played for long enough to earn the battle passes with little effort, would definitely give a little bit more effort if the choice not to were taken away.

Still at the frozen 1150 multibucks, the price of the premium battle pass is too low. And there are clearly not enough people who buy the premium+ tier or the ultimate to make up for it - there is always the option to give less.

I feel an increase to 1500 or even 1650 would be welcomed by the consistent playerbase, and it would have minimal effect on people leaving as a whole. After all, the battle pass is purely cosmetic and free content continues to be added.

I think at this point, it's the right thing to do. We all want a better game we can support.

About Double Barrel,you nerfed it, then reverted it.Because Light has low HP, so it needs to have high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it needs to 2-tap Heavy.That balance was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword.Nerfing melee dmg is saying ā€œdon’t use it.ā€It’s the same mistake as with DB. Sword was built around close-range and low health.it required specific damage combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140.

we just got a BUFFED APS this season and with the heal meta, CL40's TTK gets so easily interrupted.

If you have a heal emitter, heal beam, or H+ infuser on your team, you SHOULD win against a CL40

Also CL40 players need their gadgets to help them, so fight them with glitchs to force them to only rely on their gun, otherwise they will put turrets on you, or will run away with jumpad/zipline

try to get CL40 to lvl 4 even, and tell me if you still think it's unfair to fight against.

Hey, I'd like to report a glitch.

For the new akimbo 50. weapon skin, there seems to be a glitch where if you do an emote with it, the gun's effect will still be there, be disconnected from the weapon and won't go away. It then stays at the right side of the screen and I don't know why but it does that.

The removal of the plug meta was the worst possible decision Embark made for World Tour / Ranked. Immediately after the removal of the plug-meta matches were an absolute slog to get through and even if you are by far the best players, you can frequently lose to teams with a negative K/D due to double-boxing.

Most players play The Finals to have those awesome team fights, which is what the plug-meta allows.

Removing the plug-meta just begs teams to double box a single cashout and be a 3rd party spoiler based on which team wants to play the most ratty rather than by actual skill.

My Hammer is ruined, the hammer was arguably the only melee that was still considered fun, and to add to that; it was a way to fight ruby players with at least little success. the hammer combos made it feel fluid and smooth and the combat was fun. lights had something to fear, mediums had to be cautions and heavies had to specifically deal with you. sledge was a fear tactic and it was justified. there were ways around it of course. a good double barrel with smokes n' dash, mediums that targeted at medium range could kill a hammer with no movement knowledge. probably the overpowered aspects were the use of special abilities in combos. charge n slam to swing death was OP, wench to normal swing and quick melee was OP, goo to swing to quick melee was OP, but to get rid of the combo all together? it was a heavies way of dealing with the light class and now its been gutted. if i was to nerf the hammer, id get rid of the combos involving abilities instead of lessening its damage. give the melees a chance plz. we love your weapons, just let us use them without a caution fun sucking label. i love the fact there are heals now because then at least there is more of a chase and lights can run to their heavies and get heals. lights can insta heal a heavy making it more difficult to kill (which is awesome btw) but i shouldn't be out DPS's by the shak in close quarter. on behalf of all Melee users we ask humbly let us cook. why have melees in the 1st place if its gonna get nerfed into the ground. don't change the damage, change the combos so at least they are harder to pull off.

The real reason embark felt it would be necessary to nerf the sledgehammer in this recent update is because of the recent addition of the healing gadgets for the heavy and light classes, embark knew they would create a healing meta and from the recent mass nerfing of weapons the sledgehammer would be stronger because any heavy abusing the new healing meta would become near Un-killable but by nerfing sledgehammer’s damage and QM combos the sledgehammer gets out damaged easily and the user dies much easier from ranges coming from even 5m, sledgehammer was already easily out damaged at close range if you knew what you were doing and the sledgehammers attacks are slow and avoiding swings is a skill most high skilled ranked players I encounter have, the sledgehammer had high damage because its a point blank range melee weapon given to the slowest class in the game, so by reducing melee users healing from healing sources and returning melees damage values to before should balance out melee if that is what embark is finding necessary, sledgehammer was already gimmicky as hell and now it is made only viable when paired with WinchClaw even more now than before, nerfing the WinchClaw’s range or by adding a charge up mechanic so the winch claw can be avoided easier, alongside the aforementioned balance ideas would not be a problem if sledgehammer and melee as a whole was returned to its previous damage values

Being greedy for kills should be punishing, the regular 10 second health regen timer for heavy would stay the same while healing items would be less effective and less of a crutch

Still Missing Basic Features:

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either add a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

right now its just impossible to hear nor see lights (there are just fractions of a second when the glitching effect/ slight visual distortion can be seen) and the rates of firing that the have on their weapon is are just absurb
counter play would be finding cover, but with no noise and no visual cue it is simply impossible to return fire
Think about this, even mines are more invisible than the players they are trying to counter, it beeps and theres an indicator light. No light in their sane mind would just walk into it because it is a counter
so yeah make it so when theres a strong light source behind them, a glint can be seen around their silhouette
alternatively enhance the sound effect to enable more precise locational pinpoint
or, all in all, give other classes the sonar grenade (yes medium has it now) or thermal vision, why does the light need thermal when other classes cannot go invisible, and both medium and heavy are larger in size, makes more noise, giving light thermal is like an accessibility option now

and yeah as mentioned above skin designs are weirdly obsessed with pink and purple, male or nah right now it just doesnt seem like its anything creative, theres just like 5 highlights in the entire battlepass that actually looks good, idk not everything needs to be manly but like purple grid patterns really dont please anyone, instead maybe just release grid patterns and throw a palette feature to change the colour of the glow

I'm in stream chat with Carnifex and his following about this now, and word is that third parties are too prevalent, and there's not enough time given to the defending team to reset before they get assaulted by a team that just happened to die at the 'right' time on the other side of the map.
Perhaps variable spawn timers/distances based on fights happening currently (damage being done, or total players alive).

Heals balancing:

Please move Med heal beam to a gadget, and just delete turret (it's just bad, and annoying even as is). Perhaps replace turret with recon flare or a mobility Spec like double jump or speed overdrive (like Crysis maximum speed)

Team coordination:

Is it not possible to matchmake soloQers who have voice comms enabled, with other soloQers who have voice coms enabled too?

It sucks being disabled from helping your team through calls. I feel like players who don't want to communicate with voice at all need to be matched with others like them as well - better for everyone. Another idea here would be to force people to have to disable comms every round, because so often players just forget that they have voice comms disabled. It's just really bad for the game for the system to promote this tendency to disable all comms. It's too easy. And I don't even care if my team doesn't speak, as long as I can help them more by telling them important information. Perhaps players should get more support score for simply having comms enabled?? That could work really well

U should be able to charge a riot shield bash by using the weapon inspection button where u hit ur shield with Baton as a taunt and a telegraph to charge shield bash and use it to get closer or knock(5 damage) them off structures

New move for dual blades inspect animations then hold alt where u sharpen one blade by dragging in to the other blade creating sparksšŸ’„ to do some fire or electric(stun/glitch) damage when the sparks hit and maybe make it into a mechanic to do a special move like u do a lunge duel slash after jumping cause the duel blade is kinda boring from a gameplay perspective šŸ˜”

The current approach to nerfs is going too far. Everything is getting weaker. Stop nerf.Just buff underperforming and unfairly nerfed things. Nerf parrots never stop. When something gets nerfed, they whine to nerf something else.

If you keep listening to people who ask for nerfs not because something is op,but just because it annoys them(cause skill issue), of course the game will fall apart.

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all.Right now, can't even use it against Light.That value was calculated and made sense in terms of balance.

Everyone knows Dagger,Sword and all melee get countered by Light.But you nerfed Sword while pretending it was for the sake of Lights, even though it was obviously done to benefit Mediums.
Medium has the highest pick rate and top performance in WT and ranked.There’s a reason people started saying ā€œThe Mediumsā€.
Heavy is still powerful at close range,so melee isn’t even a threat to them.

Medium has tons of tools to counter melee: turrets, mines, goo grenade, glitch trap, dematerializer, jump pad, zip line, proximity sensor, and a bunch of weapons. And still,these skill-issue players cry for nerfs to melee and weak wepon even though they already have all those tools.They just can’t handle melee because of a skill issue.
I play all class,melee was never a problem when I played Medium or Heavy(not to mention Light).But because of these dumb whining, stuff that wasn’t even meta got nerfed.That’s how you ruin patches.

About Double Barrel,you nerfed it, then reverted it.Because Light has low HP, so it needs to have high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it needs to 2-tap Heavy.That balance was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword.Nerfing melee dmg is saying ā€œdon’t use it.ā€It’s the same mistake as with DB. Sword was built around close-range and low health.it required specific damage combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140.

I will not lie, the H+ Emitter healing through barricades made for a really good synergy between the two gadgets and it's a shame it was removed. I really thought it was intentional and it opened up a lot of interesting strategies while still leaving room for sufficient counterplay. (Explosions damaged it through barricades)

I hope this gets added as an intentional feature in the future. It really enabled even more creativity with barricades than before, which is saying a lot.

(also uncripple all the melee weapons. there is now not a single one remaining which hasnt been kneecapped, or just sucks, for no reason)

please please please review the flamethrower. Its such a unique and fun weapon but just isnt viable in any type of play. Just review the time to kill performance.

I jumped into a practice range and hip fired almost every weapon into a medium dummy and most weapons are in the 1.5-2.2 second range with the flamethrower sitting out at 2.8-3 seconds. Other websites show the same data.

How can a weapon thats strictly close range and gets out DPS'ed by every other weapon (including melee) be viable? Only one way to get kills and thats to suicide into high actions area and hope you dont get targeted (you will, people love shooting heavies first).

Get the jump on someone? hit them with the claw and bring them in close? well it takes a full second longer for you to kill them so they get to use that time to dash out or react and make sure you either lose that 1v1 or at best trade.

Consistently trading to lights and mediums, losing every 1v1 to another heavy and basically getting no oportunity to damage multiple enemies, without suiciding renders the weapon a tactical waste other than the memes.

Sure team play can change this with heals etc, but only if the team decides to prioritize your style of play over anything else and since its the slowest killing weapon in the game, why would a player prioritize keeping the lowest DPS player alive? they wouldnt.

It needs something to push it over the edge but not too far, a range buff would help or just bringing it back into the distributions of other weapons on time to kill makes sense to me. Its an outlier right now

I've been a playing since open beta. I love this game more than any other online multiplayer game I've ever played. I've completed, or will be about to complete, every single battle pass so far.

I just have one request, pretty please. I am a stats nerd. I love looking at my various stats with different weapons, or glasses, or gadgets. I'd love to be able to see a summary of my most recent ~25 or more games, to analyze the trends in my gameplay.

But more than anything, I need to be able to see my total cashouts stolen, total cashout steals stopped, and total assists. Please! šŸ™

Can you guys move onto LITERALLY ANY OTHER THEME for cosmetics? You dropped like 5 separate bundles based on samurai/ninja stuff at the start of THIS season, and we already had season 3 which was pretty much dedicated to samurai/ninja stuff. We already have 8 separate bundles that are samurai/ninja themed and a bunch of other singular items that aren’t tied to any bundles that are ALSO samurai/ninja themed. Please, I beg you and probably many will agree with me. Make access to the world tour from level 20.
Since you added points for losing, more people have started playing in the world tour, since they see the earnings of multibucks and everyone plays starting from level 1, without even understanding the mechanics. throws a level 60 player into a party and two players up to level 10 - the result is simply ruining the rink. urgently set a restriction on access for players with a level below 20. Dear Lyrit, the potential of a weapon should always be commensurate with its difficulty of use and therefore the skill required of the player to know how to use it.

The CL40 does not require any particular skill and therefore as this weapon is structured at the moment, NERF is MANDATORY!

Now you only see and hear SPAM and continuous SPAM of CL40 and players who perhaps also use a MACRO manage to shoot and jump at the same precise moment always, further decreasing the difficulty of using this weapon!

So you have to balance it by doing this at the same time:

NERF:

  • Bring the magazine to 4 shots.
  • Decrease the damage range of grenades.
  • Decrease the area damage of grenades.
  • Increase the damage to yourself or make the jump useless so that you do not receive damage.

BUFF:

  • Increase the reload speed a bit.
  • Give more damage to direct hits on the player but lower the area damage.

Stop.

P.S. You don't need to give advice on how to "deal with" the CL40, since you could be told to learn to use weapons that require skill. Cheers.

Server performance and game optimization is terrible. The only players that can have fun have $3000 pcs and that's the entirety of your playerbase.
This game should have 100,000 players online but Embark can't/won't optimize the game or improve server performance.
Low end and mid-range pcs can't run this game without risk of a brain aneurysm because of how much it stutters and lags.
Therefore those players will move elsewhere for a better experience

We need killcams. Killcams aren't just an optional luxury, they're how players make sense of a fast paced game without feeling like they've been cheated.

We need match replays. They're how content creators get cool shots for videos, and it's also NESSECARY to improve your own gameplay and improve.

The $30 Ultimate battlepass is an atrocity. Why would you stoop to AAA predatory money-making tactics? Players are gravitating AWAY from those developers. This game was already constantly on the top 100 best-sellers list on steam, so why the greed?

I can't even comprehend why you're not pouring money into marketing and server performance/optimizations for mid-range pcs and instead are teasing a tournament... for a fundamentally broken game.

stick with your team

play high ground

engage from a distance

both APS and Guardian turrets make the CL40 harder to use

use shields effectively

use dash/grapple/jumpad/zipline to escape and reposition

Jump before the grenade lands at ur feet to reduce/negate damage

use flashbangs, because CL40 users will typically kill themselves on accident if flashed

use nullifier and then coordinate with team to finish them

use glitch traps/nades so the CL40 user is soley reliant on the weapon during a fight (CL40 relies on gadget/specializations more than most weapons)

YOU HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS BUT INSTEAD CHOOSE TO COMPLAIN BECAUSE YOU CANT ADAPT hug_friend

When 3 of them are just bombaring the platform they have a lead in, little coordantion with your team will help with dealing with the ease of use of just them standing on a building making sure that noone gets on the platform

CL-40 nerf when? It shouldn't do more damage than the MGL-32 when it has impact grenades. It's so stupid that they can jump around and spam shot it an aslong as they are +3meters away they don't take any selfharm and even when they start taking selfharm it's basically not significant enough fast enough so you can run around in close quarters with a freaking grenade launcher and use it like a big expolisve shotgun. Mean while the MGL-32 is so shit that it can be countered by litterly just constantly jumping to avoid being hit and even if an MGL-32 hits you it does less damage than an CL-40 with faster damage drop off, I've litterly done 4 to 10 damage on shots with the MGL-32 when shooting it in to rooms.

I can't believe free and unpunished teamkilling hasn't been addressed in TDM.

Getting defibbed in the middle of 5 enemies just so your teammate can get +1 stats shouldn't be free. You get +1 death and also +1 loss for their stat.

It's like picking up my unwilling body trying to spawn somewhere else and FORCING me to die where they want me to. Teammates can punish each other with defib, but can't get reported.

You can farm your teammate souls in TDM, cause death & loss without any consequence. I don't think free teamkilling should exist.

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either add a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

the servers this seaons are some of the most laggy, bugged garbage i've ever seen. Demat not registering despite me mashing lmb, defibs glitching, an infinite reload animation glitch, no consistent hit reg on anything, running in place, the game straight up freezing, the list goes on and on. Full red symbols for the entirety of a round is the norm more often then not when I log on and start playing. I've played since season 1 and this is the worst its ever felt. Please take the time to address this fundamental aspect of the game. Good servers would likely fix 70% of the issues people are having with this game. I don't care if we don't get weapons or new content for a while, or even if theres some downtime while this gets fixed, streamlining things server side so that players get the best possible experience in the regard. Most any other needed fixes are secondary to this one issue that affects all other aspects of gameplay. and before anyone asks, my PC is more than capable of running the finals at medium to high graphics with good performance, and i've checked my internet connection 7 times over to verify that the problem isn't stemming from something on my end of things

Yeah defib should be a specialization imo anyways. Nothing more annoying than having to wait 15 secs only to get revived while surrounded then die again and wait another like 25 secs.

  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16 dmg when M11 do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Nulifier is just useless. Offer invincibility to the ennemy ? Really ?
    Rework : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and your take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity. Can hit multiple target like lockbolt.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
  • Nerf the CB01-Repeater damage or increase the recoil
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Nerf Turret range.
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safier !
  • Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do damage. It's strong enough to not make damage
  • Try to rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR / AK for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium and Heavy. There is no fun at all playing Light.
You're scared of buffing XP or ARN because of cry baby. The class got ONLY 150HP ! REMEMBER ?!
Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal.

Light breach charge needs to stack damage atleast close to what it was in season1

U should be able to charge a riot shield bash by using the weapon inspection button where u hit ur shield with Baton as a taunt and a telegraph to charge shield bash and use it to get closer or knock(5 damage) them off structures

New move for dual blades inspect animations then hold alt where u sharpen one blade by dragging in to the other blade creating sparksšŸ’„ to do some fire or electric(stun/glitch) damage when the sparks hit and maybe make it into a mechanic to do a special move like u do a lunge duel slash after jumping cause the duel blade is kinda boring from a gameplay perspective šŸ˜”

We need killcams. Killcams aren't just an optional luxury, they're how players make sense of a fast paced game without feeling like they've been cheated.

We need match replays. They're how content creators get cool shots for videos, and it's also NECESSARY to improve your own gameplay and improve in general.

The $30 Ultimate battlepass is an atrocity. Why would you stoop to AAA predatory money-making tactics? Players are gravitating AWAY from those developers. This game was already constantly on the top 100 best-sellers list on steam, so why the greed?

I can't even comprehend why you're not pouring money into marketing and server performance/optimizations for mid-range pcs and instead are teasing a tournament... for a fundamentally broken game.

Why do you hate this weapon, just why. Like it's such a cool design and concept but it just falls flat. Honestly tho I don't want to see the nerf undone, I want the fire to be a more prominent feature. Like I want this shit to work like the dragon breath shotgun from John wick 4. I just wanna commit war crimes with a shotgun please. I think the after burn should be a bit longer and it should take less damage to ignite them. Or my alternative idea thats way wackier but unlike way more. Give the Cerberus to the light with the current stats but a bit tighter spread, and then give medium a repeater shotgun like the model with a tight spread, less damage but with a better burn mechanic, should probably have 4 rounds in the clip and should shoot a burst of fire with the shotgun shot. So instead of being ignited with DMG it is literally a flamethrower burst and a shotgun burst. It would less effective at medium ranges than the model but better at shreding people who are in the flame range. I think an 8 pelet cone with 10 damage a pellet would be good, the flame burst should deal around 8 DMG with standard after burn. With these numbers it 2 shots lights, 3 shots mediums, and 4 shots heavies, as long as the flame burst hits.

  • Completely ignoring weapons like the MGL32 while they repeatedly change the CL-40, a weapon that was fine as-is when it was balanced around low splash, but high direct damage.

  • The increasing level of Nexonization in monetization.

2 Big Ideas I’ve had for awhile, particularly for ranked but kind of overall.

First:
I think you should be able to spend respawn tokens on class changes in ranked. It gives you the opportunity to counter something on an enemy team, but at the cost of a potential respawn that could be critical for your team.

Second:
I think starting a steal should stop a Cashout from disappearing. 7 seconds is a long time, and everyone who knows how the game works knows the last 6 seconds of a game/cashout don’t matter at all as long as no one has started a steal.

I think if stealing stops the box from leaving, it makes things a lot more intense. You have to really question if it’s safe to leave your cashout early, and it would make the last few seconds of the game far more intense and unpredictable.

I just played with it on power shift and if that thing sits in a corner protected by goo and barricades, it can stay healing for the whole game. Outside of balance changes, (where i agree 100%), it doesn't feel like constructive critisism. Way to solve problemes or why he find them problematics. It feels a lot like "I find them annoying, please make them less popular." And i deeply hate that.

The real reason embark felt it would be necessary to nerf the sledgehammer in this recent update is because of the recent addition of the healing gadgets for the heavy and light classes, embark knew they would create a healing meta and from the recent mass nerfing of weapons the sledgehammer would be stronger because any heavy abusing the new healing meta would become near Un-killable but by nerfing sledgehammer’s damage and QM combos the sledgehammer gets out damaged easily and the user dies much easier from ranges coming from even 5m, sledgehammer was already easily out damaged at close range if you knew what you were doing and the sledgehammers attacks are slow and avoiding swings is a skill most high skilled ranked players I encounter have, the sledgehammer had high damage because its a point blank range melee weapon given to the slowest class in the game, so by reducing melee users healing from healing sources and returning melees damage values to before should balance out melee if that is what embark is finding necessary, sledgehammer was already gimmicky as hell and now it is made only viable when paired with WinchClaw even more now than before, nerfing the WinchClaw’s range or by adding a charge up mechanic so the winch claw can be avoided easier, alongside the aforementioned balance ideas would not be a problem if sledgehammer and melee as a whole was returned to its previous damage values

Being greedy for kills should be punishing, the regular 10 second health regen timer for heavy would stay the same while healing items would be less effective and less of a crutch

Having a medium with APS turret and the regular turret with a heavy with the healing emitter is unbelievably strong with literally no counters. If glitch grenade still exploded even with a APS turret the meta would cease to exist. Just a little quality of life thing I have with the game but havjngthe ability to silence sounds that players can make would be rly nice. Sometimes teammates and enemies will spam them constantly and it gets rly annoying with no real benefit or downside other than hearing meowing or bird chirping all game long. I dont have a problem with the sounds just when they are used constantly. Maybe a cool down on the sounds like some other games have implemented would be nice also

Why are people who clearly don’t even play the game making balance decisions? The devs are listening to clueless complaints and patching based on that.

You completely crossed the line with the nerfs to sword and sledge. Nerfing melee damage is one of the dumbest ways to balance the game. Nerfing melee dmg is saying ā€œdon’t use it.ā€ Stop pretending you're helping Light users by reducing melee damage. That’s not helping them at all. Do you really think Mediums and Heavies won’t benefit from this kind of patch? They benefit far more than Light ever will. When melee damage is nerfed, melee becomes useless against every class.

It’s frustrating that people who can’t even grasp this simple fact are in charge of balancing.

Melee has never been part of the meta in any season. Where are the stats that justify nerfing it? If anything, melee needs buffs. And yet you're nerfing sledge? Nerfing sword? You keep listening to useless barking nerf demands from people who don’t even understand the game, and now you say you’re preparing for esports?

There is no esports in the world that listens only to those kinds of nerf complaints. If you keep patching the game like this, your esports ambitions will fail. I don’t want to see that happen. I want this game to succeed. But if this continues, it won’t. You need someone in charge of balance who actually plays the game properly.

I’m tired of having to keep saying what’s logically obvious. Stop nerfing things not because something is op, but just because they annoys them(cause skill issue). Of course the game will fall apart.

Nerfing is not the ultimate solution for a game.
Nerf parrots never stop. When something they wanted nerfed without any real balance reason gets nerfed, they whine to nerf something else. You must stop listening to them right now.

Not only are there a lot of gadgets/specializations that excel at completely shutting down melee (Dash, Dematerializer, Charge n Slam, Goo Gun, Gravity vortex, Jump pad, Anti-Grav cube, Lockbolt, Goo grenade) but theres also a few weapons that are really good against melee (throwing knives, double barrel, m11, cerebus)

Melee can largerly be countered by playing around it, melee can't do much against keeping distance and playing in teams.

Theres plenty of melee counterplay to the point where its utterly helpess against certain things, and I can't say that about any other weapons.

Can you please fix the no reg after you winch someone or get winched? There are some iframes on both ends of the interaction. Also fix the dome throw not working. Sometimes I throw it out and nothing happens. Doesn't go on cooldown either so it must be some kind of server lag

Playing powershift and wiped the platform but it showed as 3 assists no kills seems to be an issue with kill registration, also I thought when you winched the player was denied attack briefly, I've winched a few times and caught a throwing knife to the face before I can launch an attack

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and either add a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

I've been playing shooters for years. I started with overwatch, I moved to siege and banked 1600 hours, back to overwatch to finish it off, followed by COD, splitgate, halo infinite, the next COD, and so on and so forth. I've been playing FPS games for over a decade, because they're so fun. The finals is no different: I joined season 1 and besides a break in seasons 4-5, I've played 1,2,3,6, and now 7. I can confidently say this:

For the love of god. I walk outside of spawn, die instantly, see someone headshot me from across the map. I get on point, die instantly, see it was some combination of mines. I exist, I die instantly, I have ZERO EXPLANATION and ZERO REASON to believe I should be dead, besides the game telling me I am.

Can we please, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, for THE LOVE OF GOD, get some GODFORSAKEN killcams?!?!?!?!?!?! The singular shooting game I've ever played without killcams, and I'm absolutely, positively, with no shadow of a doubt, sick of dying to someone I couldn't even see or register.

Every single FPS on the market these days has a killcam. Every single one. Pick an FPS that has 25k+ active players, and as long as you didn't pick THE FINALS, you'll see a killcam. And yet, after well, WELL over a year, several development changes and meta-flipping patches as far as the eye can see, and not a single person decided that killcams are even necessary, let alone relevant.

It's not that there's an inordinate amount of hackers. I can recognize that 9/10 times I die to someone I didn't see, EVEN WITH NO RELEVANT KILLCAM, they got the kill on me. It's not that I believe people are glitching, or hacking, or doing any sort of thing that isn't condoned in standard play. It's just that I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO IMRPOVE MY POSITIONING IF I CAN'T SEE WHAT I DID WRONG.

I'm 100% sure that hitreg and server situation was better in the past.
Since the open beta there were talks about ~120 hz server tick rate and I clearly remember the hitreg being better than many other currently popular FPS titles.

At least for 2 seasons it feels like 15-30hz COD servers. Single fire/burst weapons feel abysmal to use. Sinze the player population gradually fell since the launch have you been pressured to use lower tick servers to cut costs of running the servers? As I understand your servers are more expensive to upkeep because of server side destruction.

Weird thing is that the practice range also runs online but the hitreg there is miles better than in live match. You test your loadouts and stuff there, everything feels smooth and next match online half the shots wont reg.

A blog post explaining your netcode would be nice, lots of great technical people play this game and we can crowdsource ways to make it better is we understand the tech stack better. Maybe run different ticks for environment and players/projectiles if you aren't already.

Absolutely love the game and you deserve the praise for creating something truly original, but lets keep impriving to enjoy this thing for creat years to come! šŸ™‚

  • Revert the nerf of the XP54. What's the point of putting XP at 16 dmg when M11 do the same, faster & with more bullets ?
  • Nulifier is just useless. Offer invincibility to the ennemy ? Really ?
    Rework : When you get it by the "Taser" your recoil is increased but you can still move as you want and your take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity. Can hit multiple target like lockbolt.
  • You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
  • Nerf the CB01-Repeater damage or increase the recoil
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Nerf Turret range.
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safier !
  • Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do damage. It's strong enough to not make damage
  • Try to rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR / AK for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium and Heavy. There is no fun at all playing Light.
You're scared of buffing XP or ARN because of cry baby. The class got ONLY 150HP ! REMEMBER ?!
Meanwhile Medium spam with CL40 and Heavy are unkillable with the new heal.

  • Improve your netcode / tickrate or I don't know what ! Dying behind cover it's one of the most frustrating thing in The Finals

My Hammer is ruined, the hammer was arguably the only melee that was still considered fun, and to add to that; it was a way to fight ruby players with at least little success. the hammer combos made it feel fluid and smooth and the combat was fun. lights had something to fear, mediums had to be cautions and heavies had to specifically deal with you. sledge was a fear tactic and it was justified. there were ways around it of course. a good double barrel with smokes n' dash, mediums that targeted at medium range could kill a hammer with no movement knowledge. probably the overpowered aspects were the use of special abilities in combos. charge n slam to swing death was OP, wench to normal swing and quick melee was OP, goo to swing to quick melee was OP, but to get rid of the combo all together? it was a heavies way of dealing with the light class and now its been gutted. if i was to nerf the hammer, id get rid of the combos involving abilities instead of lessening its damage. give the melees a chance plz. we love your weapons, just let us use them without a caution fun sucking label. i love the fact there are heals now because then at least there is more of a chase and lights can run to their heavies and get heals. lights can insta heal a heavy making it more difficult to kill (which is awesome btw) but i shouldn't be out DPS's by the shak in close quarter. on behalf of all Melee users we ask humbly let us cook. why have melees in the 1st place if its gonna get nerfed into the ground. don't change the damage, change the combos so at least they are harder to pull off.

We need a replay system, like in marvel rivals, pub g or fragpunk.. after the game you can go into your game history and rewatch the game from anyone's perspective(you can even download that clip). Replay/demo systems were in quake2 days! It wud make reporting suss players so much easier.
Let's be real, if Devs can't tackle server issues or other basic stuff like match history, MMR, detailed player stats, I think replay or kill cam system will never happen! It's funny that Devs wanna turn this into esport when the game is lacking basic features.

I'm not really sure how to bring this up, but playing ranked in The Finals doesn’t feel very strategic. Wiped teams just keep rushing the cashout station over and over again until they either manage to wipe you or third-party two other teams and get away with playing recklessly aggressive.

It feels like people are just flipping coins by constantly face-rushing enemies. There's little punishment for getting wiped—they can just keep trying until it eventually works. Meanwhile, a team that successfully defends their cashout in three out of four fights can still end up losing because of one last push by a desperate team that plays with no real plan.

Sword is already barely usable and that movement tech is the one of the only things keeping it remotely viable against the vast majority of guns. How on earth can you be asking for yet another nerf to an already gutted weapon?

Sword was specifically designed with that mechanic in mind and closing the gap to engage enemies would be literally impossible without the dash combo.

Have you played with sword? Even once? If you had I would suspect that you wouldn't struggle with saying such silly things in the feedback channel.

Is there really any reason to delay?Sword and sledge were fine. They were never meta even before the nerf. They only showed up occasionally in WT and Ranked. Anyone playing just one match could see that.The fact that only a few use these weapons means the weaker players dropped off and only the skilled remain. Of course, skilled players perform well.

There are many examples of games ruined by listening to Reddit, self-proclaimed pros, and scrim groups who follow their own rules, so why are you trying to follow that losing path? Those people don’t help the game at all. If it’s not the weapon they use, they just call it no-skill and whine for nerfs.

Nerf parrots’ arguments don’t make sense. hammer is too strong in melee and needs a nerf? Hammer is supposed to be strong up close. It has to be. If the slowest class comes into melee range, it should be powerful. But now hammer’s left click does 100 dmg? It’s the same damage as the KS you can use from a distance? Does that make any sense balance-wise?
The sword is the same. The DPS of melee is lower than that of guns you can use at range? Light classes only have 150 HP, and melee weapons must get close to deal any dmg.
Sword and hammer are melee. They require high damage output to compete with other weapons in close range.

make a skin for a grenade (the sonar would be best) where it’s a can of OSPUZE and instead of pulling the pin you just open it and with the pull tab
2: a skin for the flashbang where it’s a lightbulb
3: a skin for the revolver or the suppressed pistol for light where it’s a water gun
4: a skin for the throwing knives where you’re throwing slippers
5: a skin for the sword or sledgehammer where it’s a metal pipe
6: a skin for the dagger where it’s an old dagger from the medieval ages or something similar

That’s the game dude. Rush the cash box and defend it when you got it. If you are unable to take the cash in a concerted fell swoop then you are likely going to have to deal with another team coming up from behind you.

@gray flare cl40 is fine you are just in spots where you are vulnerable. Cl is helpless against target that are above it. Unless they are near a wall you can use for aoe.

Something needs to be done about the CL-40 Grenade Launcher. The number of players leaving lobbies—both friends and foes, including those with good K/D ratios—along with server issues and even instances of players getting physical at LAN parties, indicates that something has gone seriously wrong with this weapon.

While the damage inflicted on enemy targets by the CL-40 Grenade Launcher is effective, its self-damage mechanism needs to be significantly increased to discourage reckless use in close-quarters combat (CQC). Even non-gamer viewers find it somewhat absurd that the grenade launcher does not inflict enough self-harm on the user in confined spaces, which should clearly highlight the issue.

The CL-40 Grenade Launcher serves a purpose in area denial, and its current damage does well in affecting multiple opponents. However, the self-damage must be substantially increased to prevent it from overshadowing many of the non-meta, high-skill ceiling weapons in CQC range.

Right now, it feels like we only get about 1 token per match, but the number of tokens needed for the Legacy Pass is just way too high. 2 Big Ideas I’ve had for awhile, particularly for ranked but kind of overall.

First:
I think you should be able to spend respawn tokens on class changes in ranked. It gives you the opportunity to counter something on an enemy team, but at the cost of a potential respawn that could be critical for your team.

Second:
I think starting a steal should stop a Cashout from disappearing. 7 seconds is a long time, and everyone who knows how the game works knows the last 6 seconds of a game/cashout don’t matter at all as long as no one has started a steal.

I think if stealing stops the box from leaving, it makes things a lot more intense. You have to really question if it’s safe to leave your cashout early, and it would make the last few seconds of the game far more intense and unpredictable.!

That's a lot of good suggestions I think, but I'd change a few points.
Balance

  • The taser/nullifier has it's use right now, it's just different and more niche. You can reliably stop steals, save yourself when you're being chased and on low hp. Can force a 3v2 or 2v1 for a few moments, when full sending, and for me it saved my team many times.
  • CL40 I think it shouldn't explode on impact, just like MGL is. MGL has never been a real problem, and accounting for the bounce it takes much more skill to use it correctly. I think that would be the best change for it.
  • Melee should probably belong to a dedicated game mode. No matter how you balance them, they'll always feel too bad or too good, and even when balanced decently they'll cause frustration in a shooting game.
  • I think defib is fine the way it is, maybe reducing the cooldown of the gadget and forcing the player to use the defib on the statue for 1 or 2 seconds will force safer positioning a bit better. (this could include a slight buff to res HP to 60%)
  • Winch should remove the stun effect, so you can shoot while being winched, that's more impactful than the 5 dmg it does. It's too easy to winch someone and blast them with a shotgun for a free kill.
  • Lockbolt, it has way too much HP, the small tick damage isn't an issue, the issue is that without glitch grenade it's too hard to counter. Or make it like gravity charge, where if you walk out of range for some time the lock breaks after slowing you down at the edge of radius.

Most of the other suggestions are incredibly solid and grounded. From game / quality of life to, network and balancing.
Lastly, you're right, Light is the hardest class to play correctly. The smaller hitbox and higher mobility 90% of the time doesn't make up for such a small health pool, I think the reason some of the playerbase complaint is because since Light has a high skill ceiling as a class some of the best players play that class.
I played the game since Alpha and Mained H up until Season 2 then M for 2 Seasons and now I mained L for 2 season, and H has been the easiest and most oppressive class to play since before the game released.
At this point I think Medium and Heavy should have a damage nerf across all weapons and make health regen with the same speed as Light to counter balance it.
As people learned how to play the game and don't miss shot as much TTK on Light is way to quick compared to other classes, making it that you will never win a fair 1v1 with a similar weapon (AR, SMG, etc.) so you're always pushed to play off angles and leave your team alone hoping that they won't be wiped before you can provide some value.

Reaching Emerald 1 is 2,400 points. 2,400/92=26.09 WP/day.
If you were starting from 0 today it would be 2,400/82=29.3 WP/day.
If you're just talking about hitting Emerald 4, that's only 1800 WP, so 1800/92=19.6 WP/day.

Where are you getting 50 Win Points needed a day?

If you average 6 WP per tournament you play, it would take you 400 games. That's 4.4 tournaments per day in a 90 day season.
If you only play half of the days in a 90 day season (45), that's 8.9 tournaments per day you play.
If you only play on Saturday and Sunday, that's roughly 26 days in a 90 day season, that's 15 tournaments per day you play.

That doesn't seem overly grindy for something that's supposed to be a higher tier reward, to me at least. If you can only play for 28% of the season (weekends only) you have to grind out tournaments for the 2nd highest tier of seasonal rewards.
If you're really good and can average more than 6 WP/tournament, it takes way less games.

Yeah the CL40 spam is awful, don’t understand how people are defending it, you’re pretty much only safe as a heavy and even then if you are playing bigger team modes like PS or TDM, where there are usually more than 1 on a team it is too much, and eventually the entire lobby is running CL40s because they may as well. Every game is a headache of explosions and noobtubes being fired at feet with no repercussions, especially now with the extra healing. It feels rubbish and cheap to kill with, don’t feel I deserve any of eliminations because it just feels like cheating that I can spam at the floor or in the general direction of a light and medium and kill them.

I think the suggestion someone made of defibs casting from hit points (that is, you sacrifice some of your HP to instant-res the other person) is a pretty sound balance idea. This way Defibs retain their inherent and intended benefits (and maybe we can even get rid of defib sickness) but are also inherently risky to use, so the defib user has to think twice before using them. IMO if Defibs should punish anyone, it should be the user, not the revived player

So for WT, Opening Week and this week are the same. Two weeks from now it'll be another opening week, and so will the first week of the next two tours in WT. The map pool includes all maps now, so besides matchmaking, what is the difference (or what is the point) of WT or Ranked? They are both sweaty af, both cash out and both a grind. I've personally had this issue with WT since its launch, and I play almost every day, but I've never gotten emerald or ruby because it's just too grindy. Sure it'll be a bit faster this season but not enough substance is there to justify WT being a thing without taking away from Ranked or Quick Play. Probably a hot take, but WT is easily my least favorite part of the game.

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch

Spear: increase the basic attack damage combo to 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to either 120 or 130

KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s and decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little and make it so we can bash people while blocking if they get too close and the bash will do no damage but will knock them back a bit but not too far maybe like 5 meters and increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357:Increase the bodyshot damage to 75 and decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9 therefore making it 75 Ɨ 1.9=142.5 and also decrease the fire rate by a little bit maybe from 140 to 130

Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so it can parry secondary attacks of other melee weapons like the sledgehammers overhead charge but it can't parry the primary attacks of other melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55 and increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and lastly increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when deflecting by just a little bit

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Smoke Grenade: decrease the ammo from 3 to 2, and decrease the cooldown from 50s to 20s

been saying this for so long. I know it wont be the best way to determine skill but placing players with similar traits such as kills, wins etc will create a far better match that is fair.
If person A has 90K kills over a 1 year period and person B has 4K kills over a 1 year period its obvious person A spends a lot more time playing the game than person B who takes it more like a casual game because they have a life outside of a pc screen.

Nerf winch, buff sledge.
Peoples issues with sledge, the reason they were winning in both ranked and casual, is the winch.
The winch gets sent out, floats there for a second and if you walk into it, you get pulled. Then the pull cancels any attack, and usually if there is any desync or something, the winch will end, but you still can't use gadgets, or attack or anything. This was the issue with it.
So make winch just miss if it misses, if you missed, too bad, walking into it doesnt pull you anymore.
And make it so that it either doesnt cancel attacks at all, or at least if within like 3 meters it doesnt cancel them, because it is super unsatisfying to be about to hit a heavy and then the winch cancelling it when its almost about to deal damage.
And also let people get control like a second before the winch ends, that way if there is desync, they can still fight it.

As for sledge, let the left click do at minimum 110 that way dash lights can be combatted.
And for right click, make it at least 175, I know the reason you chose 154 was so that a double right click quick attack doesnt work, but thats outright stupid.
The slowest combo pre nerf was the double right click, so why go even further and not even let a quick attack finish it off on top of it, leaving them with 2hp, its outright illogical.
In an ideal world for me, all of the combos are possible again because they take skill, it raised the skill ceiling, the quick attack has barely any range and lingers for very few frames so to use a combo required some knowledge of how the weapon works.

+50 meters, that's how far it took a single minigun-wielding heavies to kill my entire team. What the hell with that weapon? Some guy took the heights on Nozomi/Citadel and obliterated us in half a minute. I like that the minigun is really strong, but a damn damage reduction wouldn't hurt. It's either that or the damn player we were paired with was a cheater with an aimbot, because I saw him track my teammate through walls exactly where he was traveling, at a damn 50 meters high.

What the point on game feedback if they don't fix it again camouflage need to have one time use not constantly spam all wepones need a rework there no way I get one shot by a sniper that use a small caliber.

The heath ball needs to be removed many people use it and camp with it none stop the mini gun is now pointless cuz the amount of heath balls .

Shot guns and grenade launchers need to gave different ammo types not just one and only pick one gear to make the game fair .

So why are we trying to increase the prices of weapon animations over time?

They went from costing 150 mb for each anim (EPIC RARITY) which was fairly reasonable. Then the price got increased to 200 mb (EPIC RARITY) for more recent anim bundles.

With the introduction of "VI Rifle Moves" and "Shell Games Set", (EPIC) animations are now costing 100 mb more. This was not as noticeable with the VI Rifle Moves bundle as it only costed 100 mb more than the usual 400 mb at the start

With this new practice, the "Shell Games Set" is sitting at 750 mb which is 350 more than the first set of (EPIC RARITY) animations we were given first. Note that these are all EPIC RARITY and they aren't even that appealing.

This (EPIC RARITY) SA1216 bundle costs 50 mb than the average Legendary SA1216 skin, think about that.

It will be a hand emote for the left hand (As every other hand emote) which tosses a coin (With a very satisfaction sound effect, like the ULTRAKILL's one) and then grab it in the air and the emote finishes

Ranked has a serious problem.. this has happned 4 times at least in past 3 days. Just finished a game round 1 we do great finish first. Second round our 3rd drops? leaves the game? It dont matter really what happened and we get 4th and you now doc me - ranked points due to a random team8 leaving or dropping out. That is beyond ridicules especially how much you take away.. sorry to compare this to cod but this how bad and broken this is right now. In cod ranked if a random not from your party leaves game disconects those players are skill point proteched.. becasue its not there fault. Seems like a very easy and common sense thing that could be fixed. And needs to be a priority for your ranked system. Common sense really.

The current approach to nerfs is going too far. Everything is getting weaker. Stop nerf.Just buff underperforming and unfairly nerfed things. Nerf parrots never stop. When something gets nerfed, they whine to nerf something else.

If you keep listening to people who ask for nerfs not because something is op,but just because it annoys them(cause skill issue), of course the game will fall apart.

If the Sword’s lunge doesn’t go back to 140 dmg,it’s just useless.If it’s under 140,you can’t use it against Medium or Heavy at all.Right now, can't even use it against Light.That value was calculated and made sense in terms of balance.

Everyone knows Dagger,Sword and all melee get countered by Light.But you nerfed Sword while pretending it was for the sake of Lights, even though it was obviously done to benefit Mediums.
Medium has the highest pick rate and top performance in WT and ranked.There’s a reason people started saying ā€œThe Mediumsā€.
Heavy is still powerful at close range,so melee isn’t even a threat to them.

Medium has tons of tools to counter melee: turrets, mines, goo grenade, glitch trap, dematerializer, jump pad, zip line, proximity sensor, and a bunch of weapons. And still,these skill-issue players cry for nerfs to melee and weak wepon even though they already have all those tools.They just can’t handle melee because of a skill issue.
I play all class,melee was never a problem when I played Medium or Heavy(not to mention Light).But because of these dumb whining, stuff that wasn’t even meta got nerfed.That’s how you ruin patches.

About Double Barrel,you nerfed it, then reverted it.Because Light has low HP, so it needs to have high DPS. DB is only viable up close, and it needs to 2-tap Heavy.That balance was correct, so reverted.
The same goes for Sword.Nerfing melee dmg is saying ā€œdon’t use it.ā€It’s the same mistake as with DB. Sword was built around close-range and low health.it required specific damage combinations for each classes.so lunge was 140.

What an absolute fall from grace powershift has had since season 2. Just completely unplayable unless you want to mess around with weapons you don't normally play, or if you want to be annoying. It's an afterthought game mode that has only become worse as everything is tuned more for cash outs. Either scrap it, rework it, or limit the weapons/gadgets allowed in it.

now for my actual feedback

this is a very great game in all aspects but the one thing i think it's missing is DYNAMIC MUSIC, where it plays songs from your selected playlists as things happen

(example, if someone has s2 ost selected as their only playlist, the more chill tracks will play when there isn't much going on nearby, but it'll switch to the intense tracks when chaos or conflict starts happening while the player is near it or in it, a example of the non-conflict tracks for s2 ost could be CeratopSID, FloatingBits, SpaceCube50, and WAREz, while the conflict tracks could be FreeDoom, MegaUltraHeavy, and SyntaxCNS)

Low gravity is the worst event, and I daresay the worst thing about this game rn. The amount of times I have died purely because a slight bit of movement results in me just floating in the air for ten seconds is nightmarish.

FLAMETHROWER REWORK SUGGESTION

Flamethrower has been vastly underperforming for seasons, and considering the weapon is almost identical to the weapon it was back in OB, its about time for it to recieve some major changes.

  • Increase its range back to 10 meters: Same range as open beta, its pretty much the only thing it hasnt gotten back.
  • Increase overall DPS by 10: This will still leave it doing much less damage than most weapons, but at least it will be killing a medium faster than 3 seconds.
  • Rework the "ADS" into an Alternate fire:
    - Alt Fire launches a fireball projectile that detonates on impact. Does 70 on a direct hit, trickles off to 30 damage at minimum range. AoE of 3 meters. Costs 5 Ammo to fire, RoF of about 90 RPM. Projectile is about as heavy as current Anti Grav Cube (no "sniping" people with fireballs)
    This would give Flamer a bit more utility and viability at range, without completely invalidating its primary fire.

SPEAR REWORK SUGGESTION

Spear as it stands just isnt working. The spin is a fun idea but its too high commitment, and far too easily punished or whiffed. Its a fun idea but it needs to go.

  • Alt fire is replaced by a spear throw:
    -upon alt fire, Heavy "charges" a spear throw (similar to how TK alt fire works) allowing them to throw a 100 damage spear projectile, with the same weight and speed of a CL40 grenade.
    This gives spear some utility no other melee can claim, allowing heavy to follow up kills that would otherwise get away from him. Though the DPS would obviously be rather low to punish spamming.

KS-23 REWORK SUGGESTION

The KS23 has been in a sore spot since its addition, what little times its stood in the spotlight very swiftly nerfed out of existence, and in the state its in, its been very cruelly power crept out in lieu of other, more reliable close range options like the KS23 and the minigun. More than anything its main gimmick of being an accuracy weapon that isnt perfectly accurate has lead to it having significant issues, and i think more than anything, that needs to go.

  • Primary fire has been changed from a single projectile to a ten pellet spread. Triangular "ten pin bowling" arrangement.
  • Each pellet does 10 damage each, and 100 structural each. (maybe 11-12 each but i know we want to avoid QM "kill combos, though my opinion on that is we should just let lights die fast)
  • Reload now uses the "double shell" animation regardless of if the weapon has been emptied or not: speeds up general reload time when weapon isnt emptied

This change would give the weapon more reliable consistency in combat without sacrificing its main gimmick of destruction.
