I'm a bit sad the xp54 didn't get a nerf, it was perfect before its last +1 damage and range buff ah well I'm sure it'll happen eventually.
The Nullifier is a really freaking cool rework. First time I got shot by it I didn't know what the hell was going on I thought I went to the 4th dimension šµāš« it'd be nice to have a bar on screen that goes down to show how long you're out and it could be red to show it was an enemy attack for readability purposes.

Would be nice to see club names/tags be moderated better. Just played my first game in over a year. I saw that there was a big update so I decided to try it out. The team I was up against had 3 members rocking the same antisemitic club tag. Obviously they lost the match, duh. Anyways, I looked up their club and it only has 5 members (3 of them were in my match, WILD), but is still a very antisemitic nature with the club's full name + the club tag especially. Reported it. Hopefully will lead to better club moderation.
SWORD BALANCE SUGGESTION
While the Sword has become absolutely dull, I came up with a peculiar alternative 'nerf' idea. Currently the Sword's lunge deals direct damage worth 105 (down from the better 140) and it's horrendous. With the addition of the Health Canisters in mind (and healing in general), I thought: why not make the damage difference between pre- and post-nerf (35 damage) a type of DoT (Damage Over Time) like bleed? Cap it at 35 DMG (or a % of the damage done) and allow it curable by a Heal effect. This way, survivability is still somewhere decent while the total damage done essentially remains the way it was, just slower. š¤
Bleed shouldn't stack or at most stack very carefully.
please add the feature to leave a match with the party you joined with so that mean and my friends dont have to invite each other after leaving mid match
sword feels terrible but im gonna stick with it no matter what.
no reason why i should look at a medium on a team and think "oh okay im just not gonna be able to kill them this game." ive gotten out dps'ed by nearly every light weapon thats being run right now (arn, m11, lh1, matter, sh1900, knives, xp-54), and if i have them close to death they can just grapple away. Ive gone against mediums that did not know i existed, landed 2 lunges, and still got killed (fcar, akm, fmas, pike, repeater, cerberus).
i have top scored in lobbies with this weapon, but the only way to get there is by being very close in kills and deaths cuz there is NOTHING you can do otherwise.
Anyone who argues that "its just a skill issue" either does not play the weapon or plays in such low level lobbies that it baffles me.
Also personal gripe, why add a rapier skin and then IMMEDIATELY nerf lunge like dawg thats just a slap in the face. when i start considering CUTTING with a RAPIER i KNOW this weapon has become doggy doo doo
most people who complained are lights. light also has an easier one shot in the form of sh1900, where all you have to do is be close and left click. the best way to balance it is to revert the lunge damage and add a VERY CLEAR indication of when someone is charging/fully charged.
You have gotten rid of the problem with the phantom hit bugs and introduced ones that make it so clear hits dont hit at all. just give us the oneshot back. or dont, and make the end lag to the lunge much shorter

Removing every mandatory-to-function breakpoint from a melee weapon on the lowest HP class while saying "This week's balance changes are fairly light" was absurd.

If something being "frustrating" is sufficient reason to gut something to the point your teammates should be allowed to report you for intentionally throwing the game if you pick it, gut every single thing in the game. Players frustrated by something exist for literally every single thing in the game no matter what, and this will never not be the case, because frustration is 100% subjective. On top of that, being on the receiving end will always be more frustrating because you're the one being actioned upon.
Additionally, the fun of players using something is more important than the fun of player(s) facing it and should be prioritized as such. Otherwise, it won't see use. As long as it isn't over-performing versus skilled players, it should never be changed, regardless of subjective complaints. Literally anything anyone finds fun can be just as easily argued as unfun for the other side, no matter what that thing is.
Lastly, the game should never be balanced around casuals who have no clue how to counter anything and/or refuse to learn how to do so, nor around casual modes with entirely different rulesets (eg, unlimited coins) and gameplay loops from the Tournament Cashout modes this game was designed around. Nerfing SR-84 due to Power Shift was silly. Same goes for balancing around any other non-Tournament Cashout modes: Quick Cash, Bank It, Terminal Attack, Team Death Match.

you're just going to the point but get lunge + qm'd by a sword and you die, that way you deserved because you do not pay attention to surroundings therefore allowing the light to come close to you BY NOT EVEN USING LUNGE + DASH

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use
also can we get a eclipse shade revolver so we have one that doesnt clash so heavily with the dot sight

Hi embark, First of all Great midseason patch. I Like how you reintroduced the Stunt gun, however I have a request: Could you make it possible to use the null transmitter on yourself? Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

The team wipe challenge is not working at all. I've been stuck on 4/5 for weeks. I just got out of a power match where we wiped the other team 4 times and none of them counted. Please mark it as completes devs.
Edit: looks like I had to get the last kill to progress the challenge. Weird the other 4 wipes were counted even though I didn't get the last kill
honestly i hate going against swords, and ive played sword maybe once?, but since phantom strikes are fixed, at least buff sword to 110 dmg. the fact that db, throwing knives, bow and sniper can all one shot other lights but the sword cant lunge melee makes no sense to me at all.
PIKE PLAYERS ARE STARVING FOR SKINS. The best skin for pike is 6/10 at best, and pike didnt even get a skin for the new event which is sad. The eclipse shade is locked in an old battlepass and there really just isnt a single good skin you can get at the moment. Even for such a good weapon. This is probably not the easiest thing to fabricate in 2 weeks but if you could award the player with an alfa acta pike skin for completing the alfa acta wheel then it would be very nice for all pike players. were starving š

Refusing revives is still my most requested feature. So deeply frustrating to be fed to the enemy team by (usually) well meaning medium players in TDM or the new cqc mode. At least I donāt play light that often or Iād be even more annoyed.
I suggest we be allowed a few specialized voice lines while dead (i.e. ātake me to cover!ā or ācome and get me!ā or āLeave me alone!ā) and have the ability to totally lock out revives (including defib) by tapping or holding a button, while in this state the statue would become semi transparent to denote that itās not intractable but should still be able to grabbed and thrown so someone could reposition a statue if the issue is it being out in the open.
It might be slightly annoying but I also think you should be able to activate this effect even if someone is mid-revive, as there may be scenarios where you want to swap classes or gear and forget to hit the button before someone gets to you.
Thisād be a huge QOL feature, and wouldnāt effect higher competitive levels at all.

Underwhelmed that the spin wheel has no VR options this time. Either move unlocking weapons to an XP/Level based system or give us more to spend VR on. I'm always sat at 5k/5k a few weeks into each season and it feels pretty useless to have it if I can't really use it

Thing that needs fixing is the rotational aim assist and auto-centering while zooming should be removed, as they make tracking overly easy and give too much of an advantage. Aim assist in general would be better off as just a slight slowdown near targets, to keep things skill-based and fair across all input types.
Also, a slight fire rate buff for the SR-84 would be great ā itās feeling a bit underwhelming compared to other weapons. Appreciate all the work youāre doing on the game! I hope youāll consider these changes ā thanks for all your work on the game! Its really cool and fun but some things takes too long for you to fix.
Ctf seems like a good game mode for this game should be added to quick play you would need to make it so you drop the flag if you try to go through a gate way or get on a zip line

ANTI GRAVITY CUBE PLAYERS ARE STARVING FOR A SKIN. The best skin for cube is level 6 at best, and cube didnt even get a skin for the new event which is sad. The skins are locked in an slow crawl grind and there really just isnt a single good skin you can get at the moment. Even for such a good gadget. This is probably not the easiest thing to fabricate in 2 weeks but if you could award the player with any cube skin in the store then it would be very nice for all cube players. were starving š
Repeater could use a buff, its horrible TTK for heavies is 3.29s for body shots when all AR are under 2s, so i suggest an increase in dmg from 84->91, so that heavies will die in 4 shots instead of 5, effectively lowering its TTK for heavies from 3.29s -> 2.47, making it a bit more reliable and forgiving, also making its learning curve less steep while mantaining TTKs for lights and mids the same.

Remove Nullifier or make damage negate it.
Nullifier has 0 counterplay and it forces you to deal with it

The new TDM match is pretty amazing. Would love for it to become a permanent map. Hell, give us Power Shift on it (... and every other map type please lol)

You are saying that medium should die to ambush in roughly sub 4 seconds from a fast moving and small target.
Heavy should die to an ambush in roughly 5 or 6 seconds to an ambush from a fast moving small target.
I disagree heavily, this is damage that belongs to the dagger. Swordās lunge should not replace the dagger, you canāt have it all in one weapon.
The sword shouldnāt do that much damage, its primary skill comes from how ridiculously easy it is to hit targets and not get hit, as well as its higher damage left click (as opposed to the dagger). You can easily confirm lower hp targets with the burst damage it has now, and with proper util, you can catch a single lone full hp opponent off-guard.
Please bring back four person cashout outside of ranked.
I know how hypocritical this is but please bring back CB dagger, cloak and zipline tech, I miss my beloved ;-;
A good fix to the sword would be to make the player unable to swing for 2-3 seconds after a lunge, creating a finish off incentive, so that itās not just spammed spammed spammed.

Nobody takes into account how meticulous the flanks melee weapons (and especially sword) have to take to set up situations where they can get a pick at their own range value, melee range. I think Sword players went and trained a little too hard and got a little better than the devs thought was possible. Like @sonic arrow said, there's way more depth than sword-haters are willing to admit. If you're getting chopped up by a sword, you made a mistake 30 yards ago. I will say that maybe sword used to counter every other melee weapon except spear pre- nerf, but even then you had to spend all three dashes to take down a spear. Now you can absolutely STYLE on heavies, be outplaying them breaking their damn ankles and still lose. And light-on-light violence is a bad excuse to nerf, they already had superior ways to delete each other.

Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.

I played a ranked game and I got a partner who was trolling the whole game, throwing grenades to make the bodies fall out of the map while I was revived, he played alone and most of the time he stayed still for more than 30sec to let the time run, plus my other partner disconnected because the other guy did not stop with the grenades.

Whatever happened in the last few days changed everything for me. I am lucky to win a 1v1. I haven't won a single game in two days. Im getting absolutely cooked. I've been a huge supporter for Embark for a long time. I've spent hundreds on this game and I'm nearing 1500 hours.
The ONE major fault that Embark has made is listening to shithead Appoh after complaining about sword. It is so blatantly obvious that he had at least SOME sort of influence for this nerf.
It is such a shit nerf and doesn't make practical sense at all. Compare an SH1900 (seen shitappoh use this a lot in stream) to sword now.
SH1900, sure has to reload, but it also has range and more dmg than sword.
Sword has to get in close to L to actually do dmg.
Pre-nerf, sword can R-hold and QM L.
But, now it has to R-hold twice (most Ls can now get away after the 1st R-hold)
SH1900 gets a chance to kill a sword coming in TWO TIMES OVER with a ONE SHOT before a sword can kill it with two dashes. More likely more than 2 if they have dash or zipline.
Sword is just trash and Appoh needs to be banned for this shit.

riot shield needs a secondary attack rework for it to secure kills on lights or medium, because often they just run away like nothing ever happend. The secondary attack as it is, is just useless, it just moves this "carriable wall" in front of you. Add something obvious like shield bash from overwatch to prevent an attack, maybe slow down affected player and deal 5 damage like winch claw or lockbolt. This weapon is heavily dependant on your loadout, not only on your spec, like other melee weapons, but gadgets, i cant imagine catching a light without a goonade if he runs away, and if they are using throwing knives and dash you cant do shit, they constantly firing at you and dashing on cooldown, so you cant switch to your gadgets

Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

If something being "frustrating" is sufficient reason to gut something to the point your teammates should be allowed to report you for intentionally throwing the game if you pick it, gut every single thing in the game. Players frustrated by something exist for literally every single thing in the game no matter what, and this will never not be the case, because frustration is 100% subjective. On top of that, being on the receiving end will always be more frustrating because you're the one being actioned upon.
Additionally, the fun of players using something is more important than the fun of player(s) facing it and should be prioritized as such. Otherwise, it won't see use. As long as it isn't over-performing versus skilled players, it should never be changed, regardless of subjective complaints. Literally anything anyone finds fun can be just as easily argued as unfun for the other side, no matter what that thing is.
Lastly, the game should never be balanced around casuals who have no clue how to counter anything and/or refuse to learn how to do so, nor around casual modes with entirely different rulesets (eg, unlimited coins) and gameplay loops from the Tournament Cashout modes this game was designed around. Nerfing SR-84 due to Power Shift was silly. Same goes for balancing around any other non-Tournament Cashout modes: Quick Cash, Bank It, Terminal Attack, Team Death Match.

Couple points to make the game less annoying. (also how did you miss xp5 last patch? it desperately needs tweaking)
Bow and daggers need quivers, aka reload, for a class that is defined as hit and run, they have the only ranged weapons with infinite sustain of fire, and every weapon needs an opening for other players to act on. For further tweaks on them, you decide, but they need a reload, just like any other ranged weapon.
Second, Dash is one of the most annoying parts of fighting Lights, I would suggest testing it with two charges, and compensate some how for it, if you feel the need.
Third, map selection for casual play. Kyoto is so ackward to fight in, no matter where the cashouts are located, I would be having more fun, if I could just opt not to play in it. Other maps I like, all of them, they are great, also happy to see classic LV making return.
Fourth, matchmaking. Stop putting three stacks against soloq people in casual. Every other game can do this, you can too. Just make them wait a tiny bit longer, every other game in existance does that, how is this still not a thing?
Specially if you are anew player trying the game out, getting matched against three stack in comms that works like a clockwork, not maybe the best experience or first impression, wouldn't you agree?
Last one is for new players experience, figure out a way for them to buy/complete old BPs. Maybe with big delay, or without the multibucks rewards, but someone to get cosmetics they missed.
Also make all weapons available from start, or at least make them unlock at more rapid pace. I see a lot of complains how grindy unlocking stuff feels, this is purely new player problem.
IF they would have new stuff to try out at faster rate, player retention would be better for sure. Also it puts them at huge disadvantage when playing against players that have everything unlocked already.
Otherwise last patch is a big Win.
Specializations and Gadgets that should have skins-
Dematerializer / Data Reshaper / Thermal Vision:

Nullifier should work on people getting defibbed so it cancels the defib. Then buff defib a little besides the part where it takes time to revive the person since it actually has a counter now
Heal beam should also get a secondary use that applies the heal to the user only at the cost of greatly reduced duration
Maybe it would be nice to have a emerald wrap for the weapons in world tour instead that its a seperate skin, then you could have all the skins, as an example the card skin for throwing knives in an emerald wrap would look soooo cool

Nullifer? It has some uses, but pretty much all of those are defensive, on an offensive class. Stun gun traded suprise attacks for a easy target, nullifier gives NO advantage to you, it just alerts them to your presence and lets them run to their team, or prep to shoot as soon as it wears off. Heavies have winch (and RPG) but lights cant have a self-advantage gadget? Fuck off. What you COULD do is rework it so it goes through players, able to hit multiple enemies at once. Then MAYBE it would be decent. Oh and you cant even use it mid combat because lights have so little health that if youtake the time to pull it out you die. Useless.

I was a little dissapointed to see no xp nerf or sword buff, and the cerb nerf was a little underwhelming, but everything else we got was just perfect. Make each spear spin manual so there is skill expression and u r not stuck at spinning and u won't get any suggestions from others and they don't touch the damn spear
93r less time gap between bursts and slightly less fire rate of burst as each burst is so quick it might as well be on bullet being fired and buff damage to compensate for lower and manageable fire rate.So u can fire slowly to make it more accurate or keep firing it like an auto so u can switch between the two and u have flexibility.
Make dagger alt have one tap like before plus u can hold.
Ks23 need one wall penetration with lower damage after hitting the wall for balance,it needs slightly faster projectile speed and 1.2 head shot multiplier(mainly to deal with other heavies with minigun)
Flamethrower needs to put walls on fire when continuously firing as a defensive measure with low damage.
Minigun startup time reduced by 0.2 milliseconds

Please add matchmaking, facing people who can single handedly win matches is extremely frustrating. I play mainly quick play and even though itās supposed to be ācasualā it has players who drop 20 kills or more while their teammates have at most 3-5. Itās genuinely the main reason that itās so hard to get people into the game because the moment they try the supposed casual game mode they get absolutely destroyed. Iāve attempted to introduce some friends into the game and they hate the matchmaking system and have completely stopped playing.

Unfortunately everyone on console is playing WT and console only lobbies are console exclusive so Xbox can't play with PlayStation without cross play on. They definitely need to give console players the ability to only find Xbox and PlayStation lobby's. Definitely would make the ranked experience better for console players.

For which I suggest adding a feature where the tazer actually is light distance dependent, where it will nullify its effect if the enemy light who triggered it gets too far away from the enemy

The Finals' skins are one of the strongest features among FPS shooters. Allowing stickers to be used as emblems would boost this strength. Imagine contestants wearing their rank stickers in the emblem slotāit would be so cool! I especially like the idea of displaying one's rank for opponents to see, as it adds a fun competitive element.

After being it by it several more times, I still feel like you guys did a good rework on the stun gun. The new version lets it serve all of its most important purposes (defib counter play, albeit weak, and steal stops) while not making it feel like youve been shutdown as much.
Great job! I will say, esthetically it looks kinda weird to have a typical cop style stun gun sending people into the nether. Maybe one day you should do a slight remodel, make it look a bit more futuristic by default.

The dude remover rework to the stungun is a really good change. All I wanted was for the crutch usage of the gadget to secure mostly free kills to be removed and it was. I was worried I'd be playing a lot less after the gadget was brought back but its nowhere near as infuriating to play against. Good job guys!
If you're not going to fix glaring balance issues please at least just fix the major spawn location issues that have been in the since the beginning. Why are we cycle spawning in teams behind each other with some of the biggest map sizes for it's genre?

If "frustration" is sufficient reason to gut something to the point picking it should be reportable for throwing, gut every single thing in the entire game. No matter what you pick, you will find people frustrated by it, especially so for anything commonly picked, let alone highly picked.
Sword takes more skill than almost every single ranged weapon in the entire game. A melee weapon gives up ranged strength in return for being far stronger than ranged weapons when in melee range. Light class weapons are also intended to be better at killing an enemy than Medium and Heavy class weapons are at killing that same enemy. Sword also requires the ability to multihit at full damage and flick while doing the lunge attack to be viable. A team getting multihit is their own fault for positioning badly. Neither Evasive Dash nor Sword's secondary attack grants i-frames, the Light can be shot the entire time they are gap-closing.
Light players when they cant be a bullet that kills a whole team with 2 clicks and barely any strategy involved. Light has the smallest hitbox in the game, the fastest class in the game with overall the MOST dps (not counting potential). Giving them a weapon that turns them into a literal fucking bullet is the reason why it got nerfed. If you want it back then remove the ability to multi hit and move the camera around while doing the lunge attack
The progression sounds when you join the lobby after a match is kind of annoying

Real skill my ass, I'm nearing 1.5k hr sword as of lately / 1k dagger and im 1 of those cracked one's your trying to talk about. If you can't kill a light within 2.5 sec (assume they have SH1900, Xp54, M26) since sword breakpoints have been destroyed vs light you realistically can't win against a light with a decent IQ as long as that guy knows to shoot and spam dash away from you (+ tracking dart 10 dmg is hard to land CQC vs lights and pyro CD is unreliable). Also almost all my Asia QP/WT/Rank lobbies are meta slaves that rely in running every generic crutch they can use (Cerb, SH1900, XP54 etc.). Now this players don't even run your other hard counters yet which are glitch, Pyro/Gas/Explosive Mines that even make your Sword fights even more miserable. It alr takes a sht ton of effort doing the button, positioning, tech to just get one kill but when you can swap to Sh1900/Mp5/M26 and instantly dominate the game you know Sword is very weak, weaker than dagger which is D tier rn
Please buff the model, its straight up too punishing, you need to be more accurate with it than any other gun because you must hit center of mass for every pellet to hit. Also why does it take as long to reload as a dang minigun? Add 1 damage, or buff reload time. Or both

The new face seems to fix the hair clipping issue with hats that the old face (that I assume) it's based on still has, not sure if it's with every hairstyle but it's with a couple. Ik it's not really an issue but I think it'd be nice if the old face (dashboard smirk) got similar treatment. I used to love rocking this face and would love to use it again but I really don't like the hair clipping with headwear, feels like it limits my customization options. Again it's not that big a deal but I just thought it was worth pointing out since it's been like this pretty much since it came out

Thereās a massive problem in gaming for people living in the Far East of Russia. The problem is that due to sanctions Japan disconnected their undersea optic network to Russia and now the only way internet data travels here is through middle and western Russian cities. Therefore the best choice of region for people playing The Finals here is Europe, and still, itās always orange or mostly red ping and packet loss is very common as well. (Poor hit reg, through-wall kills, shooting delay and all that stuff happens all the time)
The only solution I see here is making a server in Russia. Somewhere in the middle Russia, for example in Novosibirsk, would be perfect. But making it in Moscow would do as well.
I hope devs will understand the issue and try to make something about that. Wherever we live and whatever our nation is, we are all just gamers and we just want to play this incredible game without the gameplay disadvantage due to geographical position.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use
Suggestion: There should be daily practice range contracts like X amount of damage dealt to dummies and X amount of cashbox throws into targets or even just play x minutes in practice range.
Also remove jump pad activation delay after placing

And if you were truly a dagger main, you would have developed the skills needed to play sword while playing dagger, which means you should be able to play sword well. Hi embark, First of all Great midseason patch. I Like how you reintroduced the Stun gun, however I have a request: Could you make it possible to use the nullifier on yourself? Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

the heal cans could do potentially just a bit more healing, i feel like the 50 or something it heals over the 10-20 second interval is basically pointless as hiding and waiting out your own health regen cooldown is much quicker and even if youre in a fight the extra 20 health you will get from it doesnt help
but thats just my take, i still think it's dope we have them now permanently instead of a limited time thing and they are fun to use :D
Reduce the world tour grind. Average player doesn't play enough to achieve it, it's a big grind when you throw in the new quick play grind and ranked too. Your risking player burnout instead of player retention IMO.
I suggest being even 6th place in WT offers 1 point for participation, and winning the game should offer more than 25, you should receive some for individual performance if you were mvp.
Example:
1st place +25
Most kills: +5
Most revives: +5
+35 WT points (it's not an insane difference but it will reduce the heavy grind)
Please add purple amethyst or sapphire skins for level 10 guns!
Finally, I think the emerald, diamond and ruby skin systems should go away in replacement of a emerald/diamond/ruby coloured credit coin which can be used to redeem the weapon of your choice instead of being given a weapon you might not use
Heavy used to be the shield for the team because both types of shield were originally blatantly overpowered and far better than alternatives. Medium used to be the healer because heal beam and defib were blatantly overpowered and far better than the alternatives. Not sure what your sentence about light means.
Having 3 classes forced into specific playstyles is just a rubbish idea, the game would have so little variety if every player runs the same thing. Itās good to allow people to build their loadout to fit a role that they wish to play without making them pathetically unviable. Heavy can still be the shield for the team and do so very well, so can medium be a good healer. Theyāre just not the only strategies, and thatās a good thing!!
Headshots have not been weakened at all. Some of the strongest guns got nerfed quite a bit, but the weakest only got buffed. The meta guns becoming less powerful is a natural consequence of improved balancing, and the difference between the weakest and strongest weapons is fairly small now when it was huge in the early seasons, which of course is a good thing.
Why can't data reshape transform fire into ice or gaz cloud to smoke XD tough one to be applied but yeah that will make that gadget more usable

The frustrating thing is that because it's only effective within 8 meters, where jab and winch is really important, but will get you killed because of the 5.8 update which removed jab cancelling. Now it's a weapon only good at close range but way weaker than any other close range options, especially melee
XP54 is fine, feels good to have a quality weapon on light again. Donāt let these naysayers be the reason it gets nerfed into the ground like the sword

the sonar spam in TDM has to be addressed. This game mode just turns into a wallhack fest every single time with at least 4 players having either sonar grenades or motion sensors.
Generally the way "detecting" in this game works needs to be revamped. Sonar grenades have a pulsing animation, but are effective immediately in the entire area. if you are not in the dead center of a sonar grenade you get detected before you see where it comes from and have no way to move in the right direction to leave the area.
Solution: synchronize the hitbox with the animation - make it a pulse (like Sova in Valorant for example)
Proximity sensors have a similar issue. When you're detected it's difficult to immediately see where it comes from. the line connecting to the sensor is too thin and when it's behind you it's even more difficult to see. Additionally it already detects you when just a tiny pixel of your body is visible, with the line being completely hidden behind a wall which just adds even more to the confusion.
Solution: as long as youre being detected by a proximity sensor, add an outline to its detection radius similar to the sonar grenade, as an additional indicator AND make the line more visible.
(maybe also turn down that grey ish player camera effect a tiny bit. it feels a little dramatic for what it does) -
Sounds in this game are simply bad. Not as in "bad quality" but it's too much and confusing at basically all times. It isn't proper surround sound.
It is insanely difficult to make out any important sounds like steps or even gunshots and ESPECIALLY WHERE THEY COME FROM HOLY SHIT in almost every scenario that isn't "sitting in a corner with absolutely nothing happening. This is due to 1. sounds not being played from a certain direction properly. (Example: if someone walks on my left, it sounds like 60% volume on the left and 40% volume on the right. when moving around that is simply not enough difference to be able to properly make out a direction of an enemy) and 2. there is just so much audio clutter. 23823947 different effects like arena buzzers, enviroment, crowd shouting, detection sounds (eventho there is a strong visual indicator saying "DETECTED" on my screen....) all layered on top of each other just drowning out the important sounds. Sometimes I literally can not hear a heavy walking up behind me and starting to shoot because of that.
Solution: idk the details how that stuf works from a devs perspective, but for directional audio some improvements just have to be made and for the clutter, give us more detailed audio options like seperate sliders for "player sfx" and "enviromental sfx".

You're just listening to people who don't even play properly and complain about anything thatās different. Now you're saying you're monitoring the minigun? Are you out of your minds? Is the minigun OP now? These kinds of players will complain no matter what you do. If you nerf the minigun, theyāll just move on to whining about something else they donāt even use. They just want every weapon to be trash unless itās the one they use. Do you only know how to balance by nerfing things? Thatās not balance. Thatās just wrecking the game.
The minigun, just like the sword, should not be unfairly nerfed.

Weapon Suggestion :
Crossbow for Medium with a 3 different type of bolt. Piercing, Explosive, Glitch or healing
- To change bolt type, simply reload the crossbow even when it's loaded. you can change to other type of bolt while doing the reload animation. reload time 1.25-1.75s
- Iron sight as default, with 1x sights to purchase
- projectile is similar to bow on max charge
- Headshot deals 1.75x more damage
- Piercing deals 100 base dmg and can pierce through the contestant or shield and able to hit ONLY 1 other contestant behind, or enemy buildings (Turret, etc) with a 70% Base damage.
- Explosive deals 80 base dmg and when it lands on anything deals a 50 blast dmg with 1.2-1.5 seconds delay, has moderate amount of destruction on environment
The next one are for one of the three not to be put together
- Healing bolt, deals no damage, heals ally or enemies (if you somehow missed that badly) for 20% of their max HP
- Glitch bolt deals 50 base dmg where it glitch contestant on hit for 1.5-2s and 1.5x-2x the duration for enemy buildings. is a direct hit type of bolt, not blast
Problem of the weapon
- Too much utility for medium
- Reload time might be too long
- TTK not might not as good at close range

Ranked tournament will never work. You cannot fix knockout rounds and 3v3 is too boring to be its own ranked mode.
A limited test run of 5v5 cashout would do wonders for this game. This game has so many items that simply donāt work in 3v3 because their design, regardless of buffs, isnāt enough value to warrant taking when you only have 3 people on the team.
The LMGs are a great example as they serve as offtank weapons for a game where you canāt play off tank because thereās only 3 players on your team.
5v5 also allows items to be reworked to be healthier without being terrible. Winch claw desperately needs to be telegraphed but any sort of wind up would be too punishing for 3v3, setting down 33% of your teams DPS for an attempt at hooking. In 5v5, a spin up would be great as you could more reliably have teammates shield you or distract.
Mesh would fit 5v5 a lot better as well, you could buff the HP without it feeling oppressive because it would get melted with skilled focus fire.
Burst damage weapons would be inherently less valuable because getting a pick wouldnāt instantly collapse the fight and lead to a win, there would be much more back and forth, sustain damage would be more valuable with more people to shoot. This is a good thing because burst damage has been a problem in finals since launch.
I genuinely have no idea why 5v5 cashout hasnāt been tried. Ranked TA was hated because of all the mechanics that made it not 5v5 cashout. No heals, no revives, no cooldowns, etc are the things people hated about TA. 5v5 cashout would fix all of those things while keeping the finals identity. You could even run pop up tournaments of 5v5s that last for a day to keep the idea of a competitive tournament alive
Hitbox/Hit Registration improvement: Not sure if everyone shares the same sentiment but there have been several instances where Iāve been behind a wall or something while retreating from a shooter and still dying even while completely behind the wall. Another instance would be playing with the sledgehammer where even Iām not sure how my hits land with the āstrong attackā when my opponent is like 4 or so footsteps away from my sledge and I still get the hit or kill.

I just wanna say that I detest the sword nerf with everything that I am, but theres one change i really apreciate. The "Improved optimization to slightly reduce the feeling of being shot around corners" fix has already been a lifesaver several times. When I would stab people with sword, there were plenty of times where I get a hitmarker and sound effect but upon my death I'd find that I apparently did no damage. Their damage took priority over mine. But I don't think that's happened once since this new patch. Good stuff.
The sniper feels different (worse) to use now. The scope sensitivity changed and i cant get it to feel like it did before and it feels like there' moue acceleration or something now

Still loving the update. I don't know where nullifier falls in the meta but it doesn't seem overbearing. If you were going to buff it, I think it would be cool to give it 1 damage, that way people can't get free passive healing while invincible. I think having to think about whether or not they'll heal while nullified is something that adds to the strategic side of using it though, so the 1 damage might not even be necessary. Another thing I've found while playing the event is that tdm has a weird way of counting kills. I was playing a bit and got a medium with a grenade launcher down to <30 health, and he shot me with the grenade, but it killed both of us. I think if somebody has taken more than 90% of their damage from an enemy when they die, the other team should still get the money even if it was technically themselves who killed them.
I would definitely like to see a LTE experimenting with 5v5 cashout. Your arguments are spot on.
However, despite its flaws, I do think that the 3v3v3(v3) formula currently used in cashout modes plays a huge role in making The Finals feel the way it does.
Being only 3 per team means each player really counts a lot. As much as we all hate being victims of a third party, it does add that layer of chaos and tension to have several teams fighting each other. The game can be very frustrating when you lose but equally satisfying when you snatch that last minute win after an epic 3/4 teams fight.
This game can really make your adrenaline pump even if there's no actual reward on the line.

While playing on Xbox i'm using TSR Scaling method, with a manual 100% Render Resolution, everytime I open the game it changes back to something like 83% or so render resolution, I have to change it manually constantly.

And then thereās the Cerberus. This shotgun is painfully inconsistent. Even at close range, it rarely secures kills unless every pellet magically lands ā and thatās a big ask given its wide spread and unreliable hit registration. Itās slower than SMGs, weaker than grenade launchers, and nearly useless beyond point-blank range. Half the time, it feels like you're rolling dice, not shooting a weapon.
Reloading is slow and clunky, and there's no spread control or ADS mechanic to reward skill. You're forced into risky close-range fights, but the gun doesn't give you the power or speed to win them. Itās just not worth using.
Bottom line: Medium lacks a clear role, and the Cerberus makes things worse by giving you a close-range weapon that canāt compete with anything else in the game. Until it gets a serious damage buff, spread tightening, or some unique mobility synergy, thereās no reason to use it ā or play Medium at all unless you're forced to.

Hi embark, First of all Great midseason patch. I Like how you reintroduced the Stun gun, however I have a request: Could you make it possible to use the nullifier on yourself? Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

Great idea, had a similar idea where you could switch out rounds for the cerberus for the same slugs as the heavy shotgun. So like 2 slugs first and a finishing fire round or two fire one slug or whatever the player desires. It wouldnt be broken but would give more variation of playstyle.

Compared to other fps games with a ranked mode, finals has a very bad ratio of casual to competitive players. And imo itās because of cashout being the ranked mode. Thats why itās a perfect mode for world tour and why ranked imo should be 5v5 cashout

Melee already comes with a riskāyou have to close the distance. But even when you manage to do that, you still can't kill?
Does that sound like a viable weapon to you?
And on top of that, itās a light melee with just 150 HP, but you have to close the distance to even deal damage.
If the damage is this bad, the whole weapon concept falls apart.
Melee needs to be strong when it connects, because getting into range is already so hardāespecially when people are just sitting on rooftops shooting at you.
All of this is because of your terrible patch decision.

revert the last buff the xp54 got!!! It doesn't need a new complicated nerf it was perfect before. Making it -1 damage to now is crucial. I am level 7 on XP54 and it was always perfectly balanced when everyone was complaining about it being weak. Wanna know why XP54 was ever considered weak? Because it was being compared to the absolutely broken M11 that was completely overpowered for 3 seasons. Please Embark if you are OK with deleting the sword lol please just revert the last buff to XP54 that added +1 damage and + min/max damage falloff ranges. Thank you

Sword was balanced even when Lunge did 140 damage. You also fixed the phantom strike bug exploit making it stronger than intended.
Revert Lunge damage back to 140.
You literally removed every single breakpoint a melee weapon on the lowest HP class in the entire game requires to be viable.

If "frustration" is sufficient reason to gut something to the point picking it should be reportable for throwing, gut every single thing in the entire game. No matter what you pick, you will find people frustrated by it, especially so for anything commonly picked, let alone highly picked.
riot shield needs a secondary attack rework for it to secure kills on lights or medium, because often they just run away like nothing ever happend. The secondary attack as it is, is just useless, it just moves this "carriable wall" in front of you. Add something obvious like shield bash from overwatch to prevent an attack, maybe slow down affected player and deal 5 damage like winch claw or lockbolt. This weapon is heavily dependant on your loadout, not only on your spec, like other melee weapons, but gadgets, i cant imagine catching a light without a goonade if he runs away, and if they are using throwing knives and dash you cant do shit, they constantly firing at you and dashing on cooldown, so you cant switch to your gadgets
nullifier is actually worse than stun gun, at least with stun gun I could fight back and deal some damage, now with nullifier I just get removed from the fight as I have to watch my teammates die, high level fights between ruby teams has now become, "whoever hits the nullifier first wins the fight" because then the fight because a 2v3 and most of the time is impossible to win. I actually preferred old stun gun compared to nullifier.
and on top of that the cerberus barely got a nerf and is still a broken weapon to use, the nerf has done nothing to it, i still see it used everywhere because it's still just as good
Love the new progression tabs in main menu! I really like the nullifier too. Itās not as annoying as the stun gun and very fun to use and mainly that it still stops cash out steals.
I mean nullifier feels way more niche than stun gun ever did. Stun gun gave you value cause you could lock down a target. With the nullifier people can still move around, and even though they can't be attacked they also can't attack anyone. It's only been like a day or smth but out of the many nullifiers I have seen (in plat-diamond) I have only seen 1 good use and it was when some guy used it on me to be able to shoot through me and hit my teammate who was stealing cash.

Weapon Changes!
- Dual Blade swapped with Sword, M&L
The block would be super useful for lights in closing distance, along with their abilities to move faster naturally. Sword having a gap closer allows the slower medium class to get on top of their target. - XP swapped with Model, M&L.
A nerfed XP would give M a nice well rounded SMG, and the Model sits nicely as a strong shotgun for the midrange on L to balance out two close range shotguns. - Chimera, new weapon combining the V9S and SR-84.
Reducing the damage by ~25% and making the V9S a side arm for the SR. The SR becomes a fully projectile weapon, and the hipfire made even worse. Tapping the equip key hot swaps between the two weapons depending on the need of the player. This allows the light to dynamically switch depending on the situation. - AR rebalancing:
ARN: increase damage, slow fire rate. Making it feel more AR like than SMG.
AKM: Increase recoil, increase mag, increase fire rate, buff hip fire. Make it the wild sibling toā¦
FCAR: Increase damage, slow fire rate, increase accuracy.
MGL Rework!
- Now fires sticky grenades, alt fire detonates the grenades that have been fired, 8 round cap.
- 3 shots break terrain, 75 damage each.
- Increase projectile speed.
KS Buffs! - Increase Damage to 116, 1.3x headshot multiplier.
- Reduce deviation.
- Increase terrain damage to two shots for breaks.
Flamethrower Alt Fire! - Using right click on flamethrower gives upwards thrust similar to antigrav.
Akimbo Buffs! - Increase hipfire accuracy, reduce ranged accuracy. Full accuracy while sliding.
M60 Changes! - Allow weapon to be mounted to geometry for high accuracy, lower ADS and hipfire accuracy moderately. Shield added to front.
Sledge Buff - Bring back multi hit to right click.
RPG made a primary - buff damage to 125 on direct hit, decrease reload

I can't believe the game still doesn't have a whispering option, so this is my suggestion. Add a whispering option to be able to talk with a friend without joining their party or lobby.
I would love for you guys to fix the sound bug with people firing their gun persisting even after dying. With a minigun especially on the team it can be quite loud and obnoxious if they die firing their weapon.
its amazing to me that people think the devs favor lights when lights are consistently nerfed despite apparently being the most underperforming class in the game. The XP gets used so frequently because its a well balanced (role wise) weapon that does good at both close and medium ranges. there are weapons in the light's kit that outperform the XP at both of those ranges (m11 at close and ARN at medium, though i would argue that the recoil on the ARN may need to be reduced a little, perhaps that just cause i havent spent the time to learn it) but of course the all rounder weapon will be picked more often. it is in a good spot as is.

So I was thinking if y'all can give me some tips on how to counter following: Dual blades , sledge , minigun , dagger I can't run from these weapons , my shield don't protect me and m60 suxks against them ."
We got dagger. and fuckin dual blades on there but no sword.
Least with phantoms before you could compensate for the poor damage but with that gone, there's no way to make the weapon viable and the skill celing is lowered further. Fine with them being removed in the end, but to have "bandaid nerfed" it cause people were crying is insane instead of having addressed the actual issue. More so cause you want to justify that "nerf" because "The one shot potential on lights" MY BROTHER IN CHRIST LIGHT IS THE PERFECT COUNTER. DO YOU PLAY YOUR OWN GAME???? Just had a match where an all light team did nothing but keep cashbox on the opposite side of the map of the cashout. We wiped them multiple times, but before the carrier could make it 70 meters the team respawned and nullified him and took the cashbox right back to the corner. For the entire length of the match timer. I play quick cash for it to be quick, not for it to be stalled out by some qc warrior losers

This is a bit of an uninformed take, since I've only had the chance to test it in a single game in tdm of all things, but
Currently I'm a fan of the nullifier, but I think having it be where instead of true invincibility it's given massive damage resistance (maybe 70-80% or lower? idk it'd have to be tested) would be fairly interesting. I think it in its current state it will perform well at preventing certain tactics or actions (healing with beam, shootin guns, stealing cash out, etc) and for stalling for time, but it definitely is unfun to play against with how long you are basically forced to do nothing. Maybe lowering the time for the nullification but allowing for (reduced) damage could make it a bit more responsive?
It might be plausible to have it be removing the use of shooting or using actions, but the light must keep the stun gun out for however long they want to prevent it for (up to light 5 seconds max). Or a flipped scenario where the tether can be broken by the person stunned, but doing so stows the persons weapons while it happens, so they can choose between shooting the light and trying to kill them or breaking the tether if the light runs/dies

SERIOUSLY - I just got shafted by the game like crazy, i was lagging ridiculously throughout an entire ranked match, i got kicked twice for "due to a violation of a our fair play policy" but miraculously even tho i was bouncing in and out of the game, me and my team managed to reavh the final by stealing the last double stacked cashout on the first 2 rounds. Then i rejoined again for the 3rd time for the final and we came second place after more lag, then embark took 1500 RS from my account, even tho i was due a 1300 RS gain, this demoted me to gold and im pissed off, this is the most frustrating thing i have ever experienced on this game, the most annoying 45 minutes wasted and then penalized unjustly.
Make each spear spin manual so there is skill expression and u r not stuck at spinning and u won't get any suggestions from others and they don't touch the damn spear
93r less time gap between bursts and slightly less fire rate of burst as each burst is so quick it might as well be on bullet being fired and buff damage to compensate for lower and manageable fire rate.So u can fire slowly to make it more accurate or keep firing it like an auto so u can switch between the two and u have flexibility.

After spending a ton of time with all the classes in The Finals, I have to say it: Medium is easily the worst class in the game, and the Cerberus Shotgun is one of the biggest reasons why. Itās not just bad ā itās borderline unusable in the current meta.
Medium is supposed to be a flexible, jack-of-all-trades role. But in practice, that just means itās outclassed in every situation. Heavies can tank and dominate objectives. Lights can fly around and delete you before you react. Mediums? Theyāre stuck in the middle with mediocre health, mediocre mobility, and a toolset that only really works if your teammates are perfectly coordinated ā which, letās be honest, is rare.
And then thereās the Cerberus. This shotgun is painfully inconsistent. Even at close range, it rarely secures kills unless every pellet magically lands ā and thatās a big ask given its wide spread and unreliable hit registration. Itās slower than SMGs, weaker than grenade launchers, and nearly useless beyond point-blank range. Half the time, it feels like you're rolling dice, not shooting a weapon.
Reloading is slow and clunky, and there's no spread control or ADS mechanic to reward skill. You're forced into risky close-range fights, but the gun doesn't give you the power or speed to win them. Itās just not worth using.
Bottom line: Medium lacks a clear role, and the Cerberus makes things worse by giving you a close-range weapon that canāt compete with anything else in the game. Until it gets a serious damage buff, spread tightening, or some unique mobility synergy, thereās no reason to use it ā or play Medium at all unless you're forced to.
i would love basic unbranded clothing that costs VRs to show up in the store
Riot Shield needs a buff where it runs 20% faster while blocking or something like that and if you could bash with shield up that does 50 damage would be cool. It'd also be nice if flamethrower got a secondary attack where it charges up and shoots a glob of magma.

The communityās grievances with the Light class might be resolved by increasing the size of its small profile. Or alternatively, I suggest playtesting a split of the Light class into two distinct classes. The first would be the classic Light class, focusing on finishing off stragglers or assassinating weakened enemies, keeping invis & grapple. The second would be a new Light-Medium class with an intermediate profile size inbetween current medium and current light. This new class would inherit the problematic abilities and weapons from the current Light class, such as dash and sword, and function as a skirmisher-style class. The Light-Medium class would allow for the fast play style that Light mains love while making them easier to hit. This would foster competitive integrity but also maintain the artistic direction of the classic Light build.
The reason for the class split is that many issues when fighting against the Light can be simplified to its small hitbox size from the perspective of the larger classes. Itās always going to be harder to hit something that is smaller, faster, and has higher DPS than you due to the Light classās damage output, and than the only response provided by the light player is, "well when I as a light, fight another light, from my camera pov, we look the exact same size, so obviously, the bigger classes are just whining and not hitting their shots" when in reality, they are just the same size to themselves but not to anyone else. Inevitably, I think Embark will be forced to increase lights size in the long term, but i think splitting the class is an attempt to salvage the art direction of light; its also a simpler realistic solution vs spending an untold amount of time & money, attempting to fine tune balances for light, when embark could be spending more time creating newer things.
ADD A MOON COLONY MAP. HAVE INDOOR SECTIONS WITH NORMAL GRAVITY BUT THEN OUTSIDE PARTS WITH LOW GRAV. THEN ADD A GRAV PACK FOR LIGHT WHICH LETS YOU WALL RUN. ADD A JET PACK FOR MEDIUM THAT LETS YOU HOVER FOR A BIT AND A JET PACK FOR THE HEAVY THAT GIVES IT A JUMP

This keeps match flow fast and allows players to consistently play on the maps they enjoy, without RNG forcing them into undesired environments.

I would like to see a spec on light that let's you flip onto another surface. You look at a wall or ceiling within 5m and flip onto it, with that surface becoming your new floor while you run around or stand there. Jumping would cause you to flip back to the right way and there would be 3 charges, with 20 second cooldowns for each use. You could use it for both ambushes and positioning, making it very versatile, but not oppressive in fights, as to opponents, your model would just flip and you could run in different ways.

Iād be curious as to what the actual weapon pick rates are. In my games, 8 out of 10 Lights are running the XP. Wonder why
- The playstyle of this Specialization would fit Light better. Disguise Kit is on the Spy in TF2, which Light is the closest equivalent of.
- Light is not supposed to be good at Medium's strengths (eg, fighting head-on side by side with their teammates).
- Medium is not supposed to be good at Light's strengths (eg, flanking, ambushing, infiltrating, disrupting, assassinating, etc).
- This would be extremely overpowered even on Light, let alone Medium. This is superior Cloaking Device in nearly all situations.
Everything below is too overpowered for Medium and would require nerfs or outright removal if it stays on Medium:
- The absurdly low cooldown
- The ability to completely ignore Mines
- It not breaking the instant you use a gadget
- It not breaking the instant you take damage
- It letting you carry objects without it instantly ending
- It not breaking the instant you even attempt to start a Cashout/Terminal steal
- It not breaking the instant you even attempt to start a revive
- The ability to completely shrug off Turret detection (Light is balanced around doing this, Medium is balanced around inability to do this)
- The ability to instantly shoot or throw grenades/carriables out of it (Light is balanced around doing this, Medium is balanced around inability to do this)
Everything below is too overpowered even for Light and would require nerfs or outright removal even if this is changed to be a Light Specialization:
- The absurdly low cooldown
- The ability to completely ignore Mines
- It not breaking the instant you use a gadget
- It not breaking the instant you take damage

Hey embark that new Trophy Line skin for the SR-84 is gorgeous. Simple but effective! Huge fan of these simple real world inspired skins with realistic materials and really nice wear patterns on them. Plus wood and steel is my favorite color combo, I will never buy a skin for the 93R again now that Iāve got that gorgeous Virtual Extension skin.
Anyways thereās a lot of older school weapons in game that would look great with this treatment. For example the LH1, PIKE, Cerb, and maybe even the Akimbos could get nearly identical schemes to the SR-84ās new Trophy Line skin. Additionally would be cool to see vintage style green poly furniture on the LH1, XP-54, CL-40, Model, KS-23, and SA-12 with polished internal bits like the receiver and bolt pieces.
I just love all of the more grounded work done so far, especially stuff like the pool ball grenade and iron defib skins. Super eager to see more!

I will put this for visibility. Reshaper should have a method to select what I want to convert props to. We can have FromSoftware type of item selection (holding the button resets the selection to its origin.) It won't make it op because reshaper has only 2 charges.
This will help reshaper be more offensive instead of it being only converting and fighting planted gadgets. I can imagine a scenario that I can convert a bunch of props to smokes and throw it on the cashout to capture it. Or change props into fire canisters and start a wild fire. I really think this is 100% necessary for reshaper to make it more useful.

this grief 2nd place out needs to be addressed man, rubys are being put in diamond and plat lobbies and prevent the better team from qualing everytime and there no counter against cause you cant fight two teams at once. half the diamonds rn cant get ruby because the current rubys just force them out while letting the mid to low plats qual, making a cycle where the plats never rank up cause they dont learn cause they get handouts and diamonds never reaching ruby cause they get forced out in either 6ht or 3rd place, its not even a "strat" anymore its just taking blatant gatekeeping
"get the first cashout" the ruby team will just target you and leave the other team being beaten if they can
its 3rd party non stop with every team shooting at your team because you either (and lets say pink is a ruby team) A.) fighting orange for example first and purple either spawns in right next you causing you to suddenly get shot in the back or get stuck in a bad position B.) you wipe orange, and pink comes in when you are low hp and recovering C.) after wiping orange and purple back to back pink comes after yours cause you just fought 2 teams OR D.) pink just goes after cause they play the game SO MUCH that they know exactly who you are and your kit and target you no matter what, so you are constanlty fighting 2 teams with both targeting you OR FUCKING E.) Where you get wiped from orange spawn next to them buuuut purple spawns next to you aswell, and they keep spawning next to you, again, and again, while pink gets the freedom to decide who gets knocked out based off of who wipes who and how fast.
and there is legit NOTHING you can do in any of these scenarios cause its just blind luck

Matchmaking needs to be fixed. There is zero visibility on who you're up against, or what an "easy" or "intermediate" lobby entails. Losing 1200 for losing an "easy" game vs a bunch of sweats that feels like fighitng a walking nuclear bomb just to get into an "intermediate" lobby the next game, coming in second, and only gaining 800-1000 is unreal. There is zero agency on the player's end to see who you're up against, decide who to push and when, you can't see anyone's rank, there's no explanation as to WHY the game is what it is. Additionally, rank averaging has to stop. The game seems to think that a team with 2 diamonds and a silver is the same as lets say, a team with 3 golds silvers because it "averages" to be the same. Video games don't work that way. Those silvers/golds are gonna get stomped every time by the 2 massively higher ranked players. I think fixing rank averaging would go a longer way than simply providing more info to the player, but you CAN do both.
Its ranked, your always gonna go against sweat. And sometimes good players get ranked low cause of bad placement matches, or theyāre smudging since itās a free to play and thatās probably why it says āeasyā but I mean if youāre afraid to go against sweats why play ranked? I avoid ranked cause I only solo queue since my friends donāt play this game. And even in an āeasyā lobby, if your not in a group and the other āeasierā team is the. They have an advantage due to communication.
Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.

You literally removed every single breakpoint a melee weapon on the lowest HP class in the entire game requires to be viable.

DAY 4 OF ASKING EMBARK TO LET US GIFT EMERALD SKINS TO FRIENDS OR TRADE ONE EMERALD SKIN WITH A BUNCH OF LEGENDARY SKINS
I'm not arguing, because they said to not argue here. But this change will destroy the balance of the game. We need to understand why people who are active here or on reddit cry about the light class. The reason i see is that most new players, who probably are excited about a new different game that is not a pubg, cod or cs clone, has an annoying class to play against which gets in, gets a kill and gets out quickly while being hard to hit. They have not yet unlocked or played with things like sonar nades/mines, glitch mines, explosive mines, dome shields, goo gun, etc. and of course, they dont yet have access to the good guns that can obliterate a light (btw, 2 shot body shot light from distance is too strong, cb-01). They do not understand the game well enough and they do not have access to the counters. So instead of nerfing light to the ground and forcing light players to use a very small amount of the available equipment which is sometimes very strong (see xp-54). Make it easier for players to get the equipment that counters other classes. Because right now, the speed in which you unlock things in the game is abismally slow. It took me almost 50 hours to unlock everything for light and 3-4 gadgets/guns for the other 2 builds (and i have a couple thousand hours in shooters and some hours in the beta, im not a newbie). And that include sights, most weapons are unplayable without sights and they are too expensive. That results in players sticking with one class without having played the other classes, they dont know their strengths and weaknesses, so not only it takes too much time to unlock useful gadgets, you also dont know how the other classes work in order to play against them properly.
Conclusion: Make things easier to unlock (i understand this is done to make players play more so the game has more active players and more income, which is needed for the game to stay alive), instead of listening to the new players who dont understand the game yet or have the gadgets/weapons that counter other classes.
PS: goo gun does the same thing as the stun gun, why did everyone kept crying about it? The difference is that goo gun lasts for a lot less time but can be done back-to-back, yet no one is complaining about the goo gun's ability to stop a person mid air, stop movement and get almost killed by a heavy sledge or the ability to keep stopping the steal (same things the stun gun did). Think about it.
This might not be the perfect or even a good solution, its my opinion. But at least lets all try to understand why people hate light so much and if light's "role" is to kill quickly while being fragile and easy to kill. Which i believe that's the role of light, but I might be wrong.

Couple of nerfs to the APS which should make it a counter to CL but not outright shut it down
- APS cannot be picked up if it has taken damage (it was so annoying because it felt like you had it available the whole time)
- APS now absorbs 80% of damage of grenades
It's true that data reshaper is a counter to the APS, however when you realise it takes up a whole gadget slot just to counter (usually) 1 player then it makes me realise that the APS shouldn't FULLY counter the CL.

Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,itās skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.
To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.
There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim
U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.
Either u canāt use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else itās the most dull experience chasing player as a medium
But bro, dagger oneshots medium and light. Thatās way too broken. We must nerf dagger and buff the left click by 10 dmg to compensate for the season 4 and season 5 nerfs. And then buff the XP54 FUCKING 7 TIMES. Buff every weapon in the game. Address the Famas as a problematic weapon and nerf the falloff by 5%, and leave the game a grief fuck fest for the rest of the season. Then not use World Tour to test out experiential ranked changes, like making double cash interaction-based instead of just running into the cashout so the 2nd team always gets griefed out. Yeah, letās make a silly event every 2 weeks without any detrimental changes to the game. Have an esports at the end of the year. And here, another wheel full of dogshit recolors, cause we canāt even come up with good skins anymore.

Please for the love of god make abandoning matches give you more then just 15 min cool down, it legit just looses the match for your team and is hella frustrating. Make abandoning a Ranked Match give you a hour cooldoown, if you do it again 2hrs, again 12hrs and and so on

For tie-breakers, instead of having it based on the seed at start, have it be that you have to over-take the current position to take their spot. Like in a race, if you overtake 2nd place, you are now in second place. Seems more fair and a more intuitive system than having to pay attention to the start of the match's order to see if you will be in or not.

Hi embark, First of all Great midseason patch. I Like how you reintroduced the Stun gun, however I have a request: Could you make it possible to use the nullifier on yourself? Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

Put glitch mines on Light or Heavy and nerf them. Maybe have their do a burst of glitch, not a consistent one.
Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.
Also, criticism is welcome.

Can we please keep accounts under level 10 in their own lobbies? My entire team were new players versus multiple emeralds and one diamond ranked player.
One of the biggest problems in this game is the matchmaking like there should be a points gap withy 5k difference so that ruby players will face other ruby players and diamond vs diamond etc its not fun for others and the game would feel like you have more progression and also rubyt players are being boosted by people who make new accounts so that account does not have high rank so the ruby accounts get more points in ranked
Since THE WHEEL is always a fun topic:
Take the OW2 Loot box approach. Maybe after landing on so many duplicates, you get a guaranteed new item at random. Maybe after like, 6 dupes or something, to keep it fair since we are getting these items for free after all.

Everyone I know who's been on it loves the gameworld and would love to be able to do more in it. Game feels like it's in a good spot though, the only thing is I've been seeing a lot more spawn abuse in qc than ever. Idk how long it's been going on bc I've mainly been playing wt and hopped in qc with some buddies who don't play often, but it was horrible. Just diamonds and emeralds holding cashbox in a corner against a team of sub level 15 players. Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.
The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

Add claymore sword for medium class,primary attacks r wide swings 170 degrees and holding alt attack blocks half the damage and deflect only a few but releasing it after holding it does a downward slash and the higher the damage the higher u fall so u can use dematerialise spec to attack players downward and surprise attacks,good combo with jump pad for very high damage,claymore has more to do with positioning rather then combo which duel blades is quicker at combo

Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
**Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to die behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode. **
For the game
- Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
- Perma ban cheaters
- Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Let us go in practice with friends - Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
- **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **

- CB01-Repeater is just stupidly OP. Nerf the damage
- CL40 revert the buff.
- Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !

- Nerf proximity sensor range
- Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR

- Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.

- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
- Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
- Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

World Tour is either packed with cheaters or godsend legendary aimergamers.

Ok so I came up with a space themed season. New map = moon colony. Maybe the map could have low gravity parts but inside certain zones or gravity lifts like halo. Cashouts and cash boxes have normal gravity.
Specializations = light: wall run / wall grab medium: vvvv style grav switch (obviously you can only go a certain distance of height before it stops because we don't want people going into the void of space. And it's on a timer sorry of like invisibility)
Heavy: jet pack give a little boost jump that gives you small height but distance or use it while standing still to gain vertical height. (If you land on someone while jumping it does damage otherwise it just pushes people back and puts out fire nearby where you land.)
I feel you shouldn't be able to attack while using the jetpack. But Im fine with either way.
Weapons : a prop launcher. It works like the normal prop grabs except it launches with more force and more damage. I think it should be on medium as it fits more with them having the datashaper

Bring back KS and other animation cancels for specializations.
Add a grenade indicator.
Put glitch mines on Light or Heavy and nerf them. Maybe have their do a burst of glitch, not a consistent one.
Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.
Also, criticism is welcome.
The problem with balancing the defib is itās a spammable instant revive. So far the devs have tried messing with cooldowns and making the revived person as weak as possible. What they havenāt tried is punishing the person actually USING the defibs. If you donāt make players use their brains, theyāre gonna keep spamming the inherently OP ability and the unfortunate soul getting revived is gonna get left with all the nerfs. I suggest a tradeoff. Make it so you sacrifice some of your HP to get the revive off. Just an idea thereās other ways you could make the one actually using defib think more about how they use it
Add a proper match making system , most new players get queued against 2-3k wins players that shit on them and thats why the community is shrinking

Dagger was balanced and fair even when Backstab angle was 180°. Reddit blamed āfaceā stabs on the angle when it was literally due to:
- Server issues
- It going off the dagger userās screen same way it does for any other person using any other weapon versus someone else, because favor-the-shooter is the far lesser evil compared to favor-the-victim (which makes anything you see on your own screen literally worthless for aiming)
- Reddit being stupid and calling it a āfaceā stab just because the Light dashed behind them, turned their camera, and flicked their camera to their back to backstab them in said back
And you acquiesced, making an already shitty, extremely niche, and extremely inconsistent weapon even more shitty, even more niche, and even more inconsistent.
Revert backstab angle to 180°.
Sword was balanced and fair even when Lunge did 140 damage. You also fixed the phantom strike bug exploit making it stronger than intended.
Revert Lunge damage back to 140.
You literally removed every single breakpoint a melee weapon on the lowest HP class in the entire game requires to be viable.

If "frustration" is sufficient reason to gut something to the point picking it should be reportable for throwing, gut every single thing in the entire game. No matter what you pick, you will find people frustrated by it, especially so for anything commonly picked, let alone highly picked.

That may not be my greatest idea but ask a YouTuber to make a video on sword counters and link it to a post on YouTube and just say that itās a general way to counter your opponent

For instance...nerfing the cerberus almost made me die laughing. That crap melee weapon pretending to be a gun is pure garbage at 6+ meters. Might as well throw plants at the enemy instead. It's like dual blades but it trades blocking for shooting down the balloon things and getting rid of gas. I died so much trying to use the cerberus I stopped playing medium. On a serious note: I think weapon complaints might be from players that want to only use one weapon and be able to kill everyone else faster than they can be killed. Reality Regulations: Only purely realistic guns and gadgets, specializations are removed for the sake of this. Anything that can't plausibly make sense in our world like goo, gravity cubes, teleporters, instant defibs, etc, arent avalaible. The lore explanation could be that the Meatspace government is interfering with The Finals because of its "unrealistic, addictive, child brainwashing propaganda". So as a compromise, The Finals makes the World Tour event and trys to play it off to the contestants as a "mild inconveinance", being tactful cause of how embarassed they are.
As a bonus, could serve as a cynical critique of a lot of out-of-touch politicians today that still think games cause violence.

Everytime there is a decently hard challenge everyone throws a fit. There was one in S1 that required you to win a tourney and everyone hated it cause no one was winning.
I must be missing something with the whole sledge + winch and maybe that's because I'm a light, but usually the best thing to do is just keep your distance? and if you're melee, then don't bother? ofc, if you have no idea that there's a heavy approaching, then I guess GG but other than that I don't see the problem.

Things that prevent other players from playing are inherently not fun. Stun gun, smoke, flashbang. Not even the best gadgets to use, you can outplay them. They are just annoying and take away from player enjoyment. Winch is the only one that I would say is fair because it at least takes some aim and the target can still shoot or evasive dash away.

Ok, hear me out...
Basically this is the current situation of the cowboy guns:
**The Repeater **
- Could be considered the "skirmisher" of the cowboy guns
- Very popular choice
- Is on a perfect balancing state imo. Challenging, fair to play with and against. It is very strong but the lack of hip-fire accuracy is a shortcoming that makes the Repeater balanced.
The Revolver
- Could be considered the "brawler" of the cowboy guns
- A less popular than the Repeater.
- Is a slightly less effective choice than the Reapeater in general, despite already having good TTK, damage fall-off and ADS accuracy. In comparison with the Repeater, its biggest sellling point is the massive headshot damage and having a decent hip-fire accuracy .
Do you see what is the biggest opportunity to balance?
The Repeater is in a good spot.
But if we want to make the Revolver a serious choice VS the Repeater, the Revolver needs some kind of buff.
And the best buff is the one that makes stronger its already existing selling point, making the gun strong on its respective niche.
We cant buff the Revolver's already massive headshot damage, since its already one of the biggest in the game...
But we could make **the hip-fire accuracy of the Revolver could be even stronger to better capitalize on its potential for aggressive play **.
This change would put both weapons on a very healthy spot and create well defined role for each weapon.
Each would have its own niche were they truly could shine: the Repeater as the "Skirmisher" and the Revolver as the "Brawler"
TL:DR If we want to make the Revolver a better choice without having to nerf the Repeater, we must buff the Revolver hip-fire accuracy (especially while moving) to let it shine as the true brawler/aggressive play cowboy weapon.
Idea for the wheel going forward: You can craft tickets for like 600-1000 VRS, and/or landing on a duplicate removes it from the wheel, effectively making it 40 tickets max, even with the worst luck. (keeping the ticket return system could be up for debate, but this would allow for people like myself who cant put in the time to get a ton of tickets to complete an entirely luck based wheel) My honest opinion is that Embark needs to make money for this game to exist. while this wheel may not be the best solution, it is a good one, it just needs to be tweaked. maybe make it so that you don't get 1 item and so pay like 2 bucks for it and get the final reward. Again, not a good tactic, but an effective one.

The Wheel is purposely designed so that most players, even if they play every single day, will be UNABLE to finish it. This is to psychologically entice them to buy the items they're missing.
It's an unfair, predatory system being used on teenagers. Any change to let you have infinite rolls with more playtime is unlikely but would greatly alleviate the issue.

Weapon suggestion: a staff with blades on both ends, where you stab with it. The secondary fire would enter an empowered state, where for a short time your attacks repeatedly swing the weapon, so you would attack with one end and then flip to the other, racking up damage faster. Give it to medium, so they can have a melee weapon thatās not āmediocre primary with a secondary to block/reflect damageā

I want to see the sword buff reverted to make it both less annoying to use AND to face. I kid you not, post-nerf left-click spammers are way more annoying than the lunge ever was. At least with the lunge they would telegraph when they charged up, so I could often shoot them before they could get to me. Now they just circle-strafe me slashing into I die. So yeah, either give us back an actually fun sword again or remove it instead of leaving it the meme weapon that it is right now

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use
we need to be able to see level/rank of opponents at least at the end of round.We have no kill cams, no way to see if the account is brand new, or seasoned, shit netcode that makes it seem like even normal kills were sus. Without these things im going to just keep reporting everyone that is even remotely sus, which as I said above, is just about everyone since you constantly get shot around corners, or are dead the frame you see somebody.

Has there been any word from the devs on the crashing? Myself and my friends all have high-end computers (way beyond the recommended specs) and we all crash once per night. It's only this game, we play other PvP games flawlessly, and S1 and S2 of this game I never crashed.
But lately it's one crash+ per night for all three of us. Just curious if something is in the works for a fix, or if they've at least addressed it (the Reddit is also very full of crash discussions). :)
Make a profile page in settings or for new players upon entering, a personalized setting that allows you to place in your custom number (how some outfits have randomized numbers displayed) and a flag that can display your nationality (for any upcoming cosmetics that can display your flag or update existing ones)... this can really enhance the game show vibes since you're having contestants around the globe competing in THE FINALS⢠and brings more realism and diversity into the playerbase.
Also im not sure if its already planned on the table but for any upcoming eSports teams, this feature can come a long way. šŖ šøšŖ

Ks-23 surely needs some buffs. Its not competetive without cancels as close combat gun. It loses to other ranged options too. Please Embark commit to making it viable (dev note in patch) without inderect nerfing. If cancels never coming back then please at least make it good at range. I think it doesnt need damage drop off and it should be slighly more accurate. Landing shots on fast targets far away with slow projectile should be rewarding. It doesnt have headshots and it has a long reload, inaccuracy, anti-synergy with melee and hook for close range gun. Its one of the most unique and creative guns with skill expression so it deserves some love!
Make each spear spin manual so there is skill expression and u r not stuck at spinning and u won't get any suggestions from others and they don't touch the damn spear
93r less time gap between bursts and slightly less fire rate of burst as each burst is so quick it might as well be on bullet being fired and buff damage to compensate for lower and manageable fire rate.So u can fire slowly to make it more accurate or keep firing it like an auto so u can switch between the two and u have flexibility.

Ks23 need one wall penetration with lower damage after hitting the wall for balance,it needs slightly faster projectile speed and 1.2 head shot multiplier(mainly to deal with other heavies with minigun)

On skyway stadium, for some reason I had issues throwing a gateway to reach the construction site with the crane, from the area opposite of it where the hotel is. It would project the throw trajectory, and when you let go, the āgate way thrownā audio cue would play, but the gateway wouldnāt be placed. I did this probably 4 times in a row before giving up
After 4 seasons, I was banned for poor behavior while being in the Practice Range....
According to support, I was boosting my own statistics. I provided all the evidence that I didnāt do anything of the sort and was only in the Practice Range, where statistics are not counted. I physically couldnāt affect the progress of gadget statistics or anything else. I am very disappointed that I was permanently banned for a different reason, and even after providing evidence, support ignored me! Iām leaving this community if I donāt get unbanned because this is disappointing, Iām upset.

Update after patch 6.6 :
Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
**Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to die behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode. **
For the game
- Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
- Perma ban cheaters
- Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.

- Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
- LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
- Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
- Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

Thank you for the past 5 seasons, but this is the point where I deleted the game:
- playing without crossplay is impossible, queue times are insane
- playing with crossplay offers a fully diabolical experience of queuing up with cheaters, who do not get banned
- matchmaking sucks balls harder than any ph actress, queuing two people of 28 and 33 level in plat lobby is a smart move, Embark
- losing 10k points just because little fuckers decided to leave mid-game 3 fucking times in a row is a good way to tell your game is highly anti-rage-quit
- playing solo is impossible unless you do not see sun and touch grass
- no chat (at least visible) for consoles
- people sabotaging matches going afk or running around the map do not get punished
If you have 2 friends that play the game daily then it is cool, if you soloq it's better to get yourself a bdsm club membership, at least you will get something in return

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.

*Keep the toxic no skill zero brain Famas Pike Cerberus meta unchanged for several consecutive seasons.
*Buff xp-54 to the point where no round is without annoying lights with the same loadout, who destroy everything alive at any range solely because of the weapon they use.
*Nerf q melee\winch cancel animations, because they probably frustrate players a lot more than sawed-off duplets or cerberus clip and so on. It's been requested by zero people in the entire time(reddit?).

Buff to flamethrower : exponentional damage when on fire and receiving damage from flamethrower or increase critical damage because its stupid that critical damage is the same as normal damage (no need to make it OP)
This will force heavy to close distance and use environment to their advantages (even though most maps are now only made for long distance fight).
This will also force a change in strategy with other weapons for medium (Cerberus, shotgun or just going in close to kill against flamethrower which is kinda dumb) / for heavies (hammer, M60 and winch claw) and light will have to adapt not to push and think after.
Plus a rework on the flame hitbox would be nice or just the physic around the flamethrower in general.
To counter this "buff" maybe make it so that there is less ammo with flamethrower ? I'm open to suggestion if this feels too OP

Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.
Also, criticism is welcome.
Instead of punishing defibbed teammate with putting cooldown on gadgets and abilities, put statue delay when getting defibbed again by another medium.
Scenario - three medic mediums defibbing each other during fight.
Medium 1 defibs Medium 2
Next time Medium 2 dies, they have delay on their statue if defib is about to be applied on them. Regular revive doesn't get affected by this.
Medium 3 has to wait (5-10 seconds?) to defib Medium 2, but they can take cover with statue and use regular revive.
In my honest opinion as someone who has played sledge often since the closed betas, I think sledge should not be buffed or nerfed, I think it is fine as is. Light mains may complain that the secondary swing is too powerful, because it one-shots, but this is a somewhat null complaint as light has all of the speed and utility to be able to counter that attack, with its long windup time.
EDIT: Another thing I've seen argued, and forgot to mention, is the combination of sledge and winch claw being too powerful, and while I partially agree with this, even if a heavy doesn't have the winch claw, he still has a powerful area of influence with things like barricades and goo grenades, which can force the enemy to get close and within smashing range. If you get close to a sledgehammer heavy, it's your fault, play around him and bring utility to make it easier to deal/avoid damage in close-quarters.
Grenade indicator isnāt required in my opinion. If I actually pay attention and look out for grenades they donāt become a problem to me. I think no grenade indicator encourages the player to watch their surroundings.

Game balance has been fealing prety good rn imo but heres just some things I noticed/would like to see:
-Xp-54 has far too much range/dps, i know its been done to differentiate it from the m11 but right now it is far too strong and makes the arn a prety bad pick as it is efectvely a worse xp in the current state
-Sa1216 nerf was unnecessary imo, was quite strong but (in my lobby's at least) fairly unused and i think it was in a good state before the nerf
-Heal canisters are a great addition I think, however instead of being slow strait to high regen it should ramp up more evenly
-The nullifier is a good rework but the ability to nullify teammates might be good for some usefull plays (However there might need to be a system to prevent greifing in lower level lobbys)
-An option to reroll contracts, as someone who uses shotguns most of the time the "Get 250 headshots" contracts require a lot of grinding and efort so being able to reroll them (For ~1000 vrs?) would be very fun

sword is now un-useable for newer players, even experienced players with hundreds of hours on the sword can now be fully countered by any remotely competent dash/grapple player. bring damage back to at least 117 so heavies die in 3 lunges and lights are able to be killed. not being able to combo lights makes a throwing knives/db player with dash actually unkillable with sword as they can instakill you while you have to some how get within melee range and hit them twice, the melee combo is a skill expression and not guaranteed especially against lights with the best movement and highest damage in the game
I heavily disagree with your suggestions regarding ks23. Even though i would apretiate bamboo not blocking slugs the wall banging is smth that would encourage very lame sonar+wallbang cheese. Its certanly not good to be on the recieving end of it. Its pointless to ask for headshot damage as well. Its pretty obvious Embark design philisophy is to avoid any situation where player can be killed by an unreactable combo. With headshot ks23 + winch will delete light player. Its pretty sad ks23 is in hostage situation cos of winch. Funny enough now we cant even use them properly together without cancels so the only option left is to shift it more into some midrange dmr

I can't really complain since the rewards are free, but it seems like it's going to be highly unlikely that you can actually roll all 20 of the rewards on the wheel of trust. There will be a total of 45 tickets available (not counting dupe tickets), and at least 20 of those have to land on a unique item. As you earn different items, it gets more and more unlikely that you will get anything. By the time you have 19/20 items unlocked, you will statistically speaking, have to spend 20 tickets to get the last one. Even if you only count the last one plus the other 19 you have to earn, that's 39 of your 45 tickets that you grind for every day. And, surprise, your 19th reward would take a lot more than 6 tries to get.

The weapon at the very least should be made to be more accurate given its damage and shot rate
For a new ctf game mode make it so players choose one of like 8 sponsors and then they are only allowed to be on the same team as ppl with that sponsor then each week there could be a head to head between two and whatever team gets more wins wins a reward of some sort (this could also work for clubs and probably be better tbh)
Sword damage should go back to 140, or you could potentially rework phantom slashing to be a feature. I just want the thing that kept me with this came from the start back
You need to make an attempt to queue people of different classes together. I go play your new mode and I have 4 fucking lights on my team in the second match. Wanna guess how it was going after a few minutes? They were all feeding and accomplishing nothing to push a building, hold one, peak angles. Just 4 lights rushing in to die over and over, 3 of them on console. I just left the match, it's depressing to watch, nevermind be on the same team with them.
Well well well all theese hotfixes and updates yet still no keyboard and mouse support for console i thought yall listened to your community to make the game fair which you kinda fail at since im playing on console and im forced to use my ps5 controller to play while someone else on pc can choose to play on keyboard and mouse or controller but for us console plsyers we dont have that choice not everyone knows how to play well with controller i had a ps5 for the last year and a half and i still cant play games with controller and it wouldnt even be that big of a problem its just keyboard and mouse support to console to make the game more fair and if you were to play the game on console with keyboard and mouse if you added it you would be put into pc servers or crossplay since you would have a keyboard and mouse but we dont we are stuck on a choice many of us dont like either play with controller or get a pc witch is atleast 600 - 800 euro and we just cant afford that or it doesnt make sense to get a ps5 expecting you could play with keyboard and mouse but then you see that you cant and then you need to either get a pc/laptop or get a kbm adapter for console so you can play with kbm (i apologize for any spelling mistakes english isnt my first language)

For context I could put 2 pieces of c4, and a gas mine onto a lawn chair and get kills with it. I could place 2 bricks of c4 to change the battlefield a moment before I started a team fight, and I could throw frags to punish obvious camping spots. Now I feel like I get punished for doing anything besides shooting a guy as soon as I see him. I'm not sure if this is considered good feedback, but I feel like the games performance has been dropping pretty hard. I'm playing on the same configuration I played in season 1, on the same settings and I get like half the frames I got back then. And this is the only game where I've seen a drop. The game seems to have an insane CPU bottleneck, despite me playing on a 12th gen CPU.
All KS needs is 100% accuracy besides the bullet drop and for jab canceling to be back.
Wall penetration would be obnoxious asf. Can already see heavies using goo on entry ways with motion detectors/sonar to cheese. In addition to that, it doesn't make sense for it to even have that??

Hi embark, First of all Great midseason patch. I Like how you reintroduced the Stun gun, however I have a request: Could you make it possible to use the nullifier on yourself? Could be neat in niche situations like, escaping from winchclaw or lockbolt. Additionally it would be balanced right away, because the tradeoff is of course to Not be able to interact with stuff and Not beeing able to damage people. I think this would be a nice addition and would make it more viable/fun.

it'd be cool if we could choose between displaying profile name, contestant name, or both
obviously profile name should always be visible when viewing said profile
the gas visual hitbox needs to be more visable. you cant telll where gas starts and ends
i feel like after all the other nerfs it could have some more range. but rn it does its job as a tool to displace the enemy/cashout and its good for stealing cashboxes
You guys have to do something about the smurfing, it's out of hand. Played against someone that only had 10 games and 200 kills. Then played a level 1 that went 16-1. Come on guys
Embark there is a small bug that removes the health bar above the bots in the firing range after they die once. Not a big deal but just so yall know
This is my feedback. I really love the medium build so far. Tank build is really tough, especially when I shoot. I love the flamethrower but I feel like if Iām using it, Iām kinda cheating but not really. If someone is bringing out a flamethrower in the opposing team, obviously Iām bringing it out to balance the team. Grenade launcher while medium build is so bad ass. Just got āwork the anglesā you know? Shoot and hope getting someone to run into the explosion. Works really well especially if we defend an area in a death match. I used it a lot and my team won. Also love the guardian turrets. Iāll be playing the medium build more. Really balanced.
