Ok so i dont play sward, i hardly play L, but what you guys did to the sword is criminal. I never feel hard done by by a sword user. theres always a fun game of footsies before i get staunched by a skilled player with sword. Not like when an invisible DB player two shots me as a heavy in the back. In the future, if things seem un balenced, rather than nurfing, buff everything else. Honestly people love being glass cannons. make evereything stronger. The recent nerf to sword just took it out of the game for many people. its sad.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.
Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

This is a stretch of a suggestion, but as I've stated before, adding new melee/unique "gimmick" weapons without nerfing the already existing ones would make the game more interesting and it'll drive home the point that this game values balance between preferred playstyles without being a CS/Val/CoD/BF clone.
How about considering adding in a Baseball Bat weapon in the game, turning the bat skin for the sword into an actual weapon with almost similar characteristics as the sword but different secondary fire attack? and perhaps the ability to throw/bat projectile gadgets further?
AND, how about we improve Spear to have it Charge up and THROW the spear as it's secondary fire, and add in a new weapon to replace the spinning move the spear did, perhaps a long sword maybe?
There's also an idea that has been lurking around here about a Kusarigama, which isn't a half-bad idea for a light. It would be similar to the Dagger (without backstab crits), but has a range secondary fire that can act as a mini-grapple and lockbolt to any opponents that were hit by it and finally fulfilling the dreams of people who wishes to be like Levi Actaman from (AoH) Attack on Heavy. why not consider it as well?
I assure you, the more INTERESTING and FUN "gimmick" weapons the less people would get annoyed by the already existing ones (sword) and more people who likes the melee playstyle would be inclined to use such weapons if added.
Also, please revert sword, for I am one of those people who likes fun "gimmick" weapons.

Since the last two updates, the jumppads feel a little bit off. When you are flying and instantly place them on the ground when you land, they often don't register and you don't jump. This also happens when you place them really close to you when you run.
Ive thought about multiple times a throw attack for the spear. The dmg of the spin barely compares to the hammer not to mention all the spins downsides. Have it be quite a long windup and after you throw its a descently long time to get the spear back. But have it deal 150 damage (very hard to hit because its a projectile) and maybe 225 on headshot to reward insane skill.
You are asking Embark to redesign aspects of the game, ok I guess, they will not do it. The fact that the light class has a large amount of options in terms of weapons but when one weapon is nerfed, the whole class goes riot, that's hilarious. The Finals has a responsive dev team and yes, sometimes the balancing is not great but it's not a triple A game. And for any free game, The Finals has one of the most awesome and cheap cosmetics, saying that they are only trying to make money is a bit ridiculous.
Yes embark is very responsive to the community and in the last patch they directly addressed some of the concerns UNRELATED to the whole sword issue as well. I hope embark continues to address problems even if they're not solved, it's always good to have the communication from the developers!

It wasn't because of any real imbalance â the sword got nerfed just because of complaints from players who simply have a skill issue.
Embark shouldn't cater to clueless voices who don't even know how to use the weapon properly. The sword already had a lower TTK than most weapons and required you to be in close range, which was a major drawback. Now, thanks to this ridiculous nerf, it's become one of the worst weapons in the game.
Meanwhile, ranged weapons remain strong even at close range, but the sword â which only works in close quarters â got nerfed because of whining from people who couldn't handle it. Revert sword now.

You ppl should stop complaining abt weapons one shotting lights. the class is literally the one with the smallest amount of hp. a gun thats more powrful against lights might not be as powerful against heavies. meds have the median health.
for actually accurate statements, use the question "does it one-shot medium?"
obviously lights are going to get one shotted by lots of weapons. cerberus two shots a light. the wiki literally says that. and fire ignites on ur opponent only if at very close range. so only then is it gonna be one shot kill.
and also, when u hit one shot and the opponent is on fire, it takes time for him to die entierly by it, so theres a shit ton of chance they could two shot u as a med with it before they die.
cerb complaints are genuinely dumb shit. it has a considerably long reload. is only good at firing close range. and "one shotting" lgihts is the dumbest argument ive ever heard. have u ever seen how much time it needs against a heavy? so just because the lights are getting one shotted means that we make it even worse for attacking against heavies?
just know how to play better. this isnt one of the model problems where the gun was genuinely broken. all the complaints come from quick cash lights after they lost a match. nor is this a gadget that can be countered by other gadgets. it purely requires skill.

So sonar nades have been bugged for OVER A YEAR, giving you permanent walls sometimes against opponents for the rest of the match.

pls give us a different hitsound for CL40 direct hits. maybe the same impact sound as the headshot sound. i would love to be able to HEAR the difference between a splash and a direct hit. i also like to be rewarded with a "better" sound if i hit a direct hit.

I think really the best thing to do for the arn right now is cut back SMG ranges again. The problem is itâs still comparatively worse than the xp-54 in most situations, if it was exclusively in league with the LH1 in terms of range than itâd fine imo.
And on top of that the xp-54 contends with the mediums rifles at mid-long range which is frankly just silly. Itâs basically an easier to control AK. Iâve got no issues with it or the m11s dps I just think that max dps should be contained to like 15-20m with a pretty steep falloff.
Just make the SMGs actually SMGs not just lil rifles.
You should really fix that there is a penalty if you start WT or Ranked with a team of 2 against a lobby full of teams of 3. It is clear that you have no chance, but you will be penalised if you want to go.

Its hard playing gyro without aim assist just to be fast and control recoil since the thumbs are slow in this game and impossible to shoot far targets without missing the first 5 shots

Since nukes are pretty much history now, wouldnât it make sense to give throwable objects some extra purpose? Feels like they were originally designed to be used with mines or C4, but with all the anti-nuke patches, that combo's basically dead. So why not give them a new role? Maybe bump up the impact damage from 50 to 100 (or make it based on distance/weight). Honestly, Iâd even love to see it go up to 140 if you throw the cashbox. That could open up some really cool playsâusing them as an emergency weapon in a fight, or risking a box throw to finish someone off (though if theyâre fast enough, they could just catch it mid-air).
I would like to see the M1911 added to the game. The various versions of the Gun Runner pants have it the holster, so it's a bit overdue to have it added to the game.
Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.
Sword was balanced.
- No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
- No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
- No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
- No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

even if a given mode is only available on 1 map due to low traffic, knowing where it takes place still gives players the choice to choose a different mode if they dislike the map

Last night I had a team of two drop out, then 1 drop out in the very next round. The same rule as in WT needs to be implemented in Ranked. If a teammate drops out they can be penalised, but then you should be free to drop out with zero RS loss.
I get there might be a risk for cheaters to grief the rule. But losing RS because of solos dropping out is killing Ranked for casual players.
Likewise, you need to add casual modes for PowerShift and any other modes that have had leaderboards added to them. All modes should have competitive with leaderboards, and then casual modes without. That would help clean up the problem with all game modes becoming so sweaty since S5.
make medium focused around team utility again, instead of whatever close range brawler class you turned it into. nerf cerb, buff healing beam, add more team oriented gadgets.
I would love to see how the game played if each class had + 25 or + 50 health. I just feel like a longer TTK suits this game

One thing that isnât super problematic but I find a bit unfair. Wench is a lot of reward for only being able to hit one single shot. I think for the power of grabbing someone within a pretty solid radius regardless of being in the air or on a platform is just a bit much for being able to hit a single shot. Iâm not sure exactly how to do it but it should be a bit more skillful. Itâs not really fair a person can be controlling recoil hitting head shots and the entire engagement is shifted because a guy can hit one shot. Not a huge problem but something Iâve felt for a while about wench not op but too much power for not enough skill.
Not gonna bother typing a paragraph, theres plenty of arguments for reverting sword above. Revert it, this nerf makes no sense, and sword was perfect the way it was. Only phantom strikes need fix.
It has a higher dps and is easier to spray up close? The xp should be slightly easier to control and slightly more consistent at range because of its lower recoil. They just need to be balanced within their weapon class, not that complicated.
Just donât want a bo3 or titanfall 2 situation where the smgs are just better ARs. And with their range characteristics theyâre pretty dang close.

I'm a sword main, and this new lunge damage nerf is disgusting. Even with the intention being to make it less oppresive against lights, this is way too much. Any light with a somewhat decent reaction time can now beat a sword. Additionally, mediums no longer die to two lunges, making it a lot harder to kill them, and heavies have gone from 2 lunges and a slash to 3 lunges and a quick melee, which is enough time for almost any player to kill a light. This has made sword, a weapon that already isn't used that often over better guns, to a nightmare to use. Sword was one of my favorite parts of this game but now I don't know how I can reason with myself to use it. Please revert this change, it was the worst thing that could have been done.
FIX. THE. CHEATING. ISSUE. I understand that the majority of the playerbase doesnât know how to recognize a cheater as soon as they see it, but anyone with a lot of time in competitive games can EASILY recognize when someone is using walls, and then when you die you see theyâre level 14 or somewhere in that region. This is not a small issue, and itâll only get worse as the game picks back up momentum. I would saying with full confidence that at least 40% of the PC crowd is cheating, console has xim and zen but thatâs a different conversation that embark canât solve by themselves. This games balancing improves at a snails pace. Itâs been almost a year and a half, not including 1 alpha and 3 betas, and we arenât even finished nerfing the overpowered primaries (cerberus)
Mediums class identity has been eviscerated by overnerfing defib and healing beam while buffing close range options (Cerberus) and then not giving any cool utility to the class??? Medium has the same amount of gadgets that it did on launch. How??? It has the most potential for interesting gadgets and specs.
Light is a horribly designed shitshow that scares away casuals and has 1 viable playstyle in high elo. When are you redesigning the specs that only get value based on enemy mistakes? Invis blows if your opponent is good at spotting it. Dash is horrible if your opponent can aim. No wonder the class eats shit against good players and frustrates casuals until they quit.
Heavyâs specs have been dumbed down a ton. Goo gun has been shadow nerfed a lot, mesh had its skill expression removed with juggling, winch is still not telegraphed???

Cashout is still miserable. Team spawns, vault spawns, cashout spawns, third parties, all or nothing gameplay, griefing, being punished for other teams mistakes, etc all make knockout rounds horrible to play.
3v3 is STILL all or nothing for some reason??? The gamemode has enough downtime in the first place but then the points system means only 2-3 of the fights in the entire ~12 minute round actually matter.
Iâve always been super defensive of this games dev team and balancing because every new team shooter suffers from bad balancing at first. But this isnât a new game anymore. And youâve stated in multiple dev comments that you actually think the game is well balanced. As is, you kind of have to sit in the lobby waiting until your friend with 1/3 or 2/3 in the party is idol in the lobby then send an invite.

Revert the sword change or at least show us what data there is on the sword needing this. I am genuinely curious how it compares to other L weapons? It takes dozens- hundreds of hours to make the sword viable in ranked and now it feels like sword players are fighting against the balance to stay on par with other weapons. Yeah it still dominates in unranked low tier lobbies if youâre good. As does any high skilled player đ. If anything, nerfing it is only pushing these players towards less competitive modes.

You pissed off at these suggestions? Yeah I would be too. All of these suggestions are shitty as hell, and are exactly what sword just got patched in. It happened to model last season, should be reverted. Model and sword were both high risk, high reward weapons. Model rewarded good aim, sword rewarded good positioning. If you messed up with those on either weapon you were dead. Sword wasnt even meta like model was.
When I play heavy, sword is literally no problem. Winch them, theyre dead. Lockbolt them, dead. Charge and slam, dead. Rpg plus 2 shots, dead. Medium has a tougher time, but theyre also the strongest class in the meta and have been for a while, they deserve a counter. They can always jump pad away.
All of these have similar or faster TTK than sword did, while still able to significantly damage from range (other than shottys and sledge). Yeah sword can lunge and dash, but the other light weapons can still dash and shoot from range. Sword was good in close range, but thats it. Double barrel is better in almost every other way, while still being able to deal with mines. Faster TTK on all classes, not useless without dash, marginal better range.
Side note GIVE SLEDGE THE AOE SLAM BACK. If a heavy hits multiple people with it at once, they deserve the multi kill. Removing sword phantom strikes would be great.
And before you say it, yes Iâm salty af.
The finals is not a perfect games but never played such dynamic chaotic and unpredictable pvp oriented FPS i almost played every shooter of this past decade but this game is so fun than it made me stop like every games and mostly all of the shooters i used to play on a regular basis even the Marvel Rivals. Keep this gem balanced and with more major or an esport solid structure you'll get a bigger community. Talking about weapons added ARN is not so OP the CB repeater is just DOPE the minigun not my primary choice that AKM is like the hidden meta always change my games when i use it. Theyâve done that thousands of times, only reason you noticed is because they released at the same time. Thereâs no options to change the color of a clothing item or skin, so they release multiple variations so more people have depth and style choices. Why does it take my whole loadout and just about all my dashes to kill one or two people in an close range fight where sword is supposed to strive, and every time I have to wait for 5-8 seconds to get back into a fight for my health to regen otherwise as a light 1 - 2 bullets and i'm dead since close range fight are so disadvantages to both teams but for a sword it is also even more dangerous now as its much harder to out damage the ttk. Meantime the other weapons are really good from just about any range and is good at any range which that is how it should be, but I just don't get why as a sword I can't even JUST be good at close fights when I have to use all my util and manage it as perfect as possible when fighting mid to high ranks. People saying sword doesn't require skill to play are kinda dumb when it come to the sword cause it not just the sword you have to utilize its everything such as abilities, equipment and guns that others are using, knowing that and how to play around it takes skill not crayon eating brain power like aim and shoot like most people think about. Any ways my point is that the Nerf to Sword was a wayy to unreasonable nerf to it, did it need a nerf? yes, but by this much hell no. Phantom strike was quite oppressive in high ranks and very much so in low ranks for people who knew how to use it. Nerf That. Multi hit was and is still a lil too strong for people since they just can seem to fix their mistake of being to close too each other. Nerf That. Not the overall damage like Embark did. Some people happy about this nerf only because they know just how bad this nerf is, wasn't a evening out patch it was a 6ft under patch for the sword. Hey so I know everyone says to undo the sword nerf. Obviously it was nerfed too much. It was already a very high skill weapon to play, and required a lot of practice to be viable and eventually good. I think if you remove the phantom hits, the sword was a very balanced weapon. Even if you bring the dash down to 130 damage and remove phantom hits, that would be fair.

Embark, I beg, please if there's any fix for error TFGE0003. This is the only game that gives me any issue like this and it's been this way since the game has come out. I'm playing on a 7800x3d and 7900xtx.
Used to get LOCKED 165fps on high settings on my old 3070ti on 1400p ultrawide, now with my new GPU im struggling to get 140FPS.
My girlfriend has my old 3070ti and she gets around 100fps. I dont get it... were there changes made about 2 seasons ago where the game is more graphically demanding? Anyone else notice this? It used to run great, seems slow now.

Phantom Strikes is very very inconsistent btw, even with perfect inputs it is not plausible playing with it in high rank. People are overestimating its usage, I agree it it needs to be fixed but it is definitely a COIN FLIP to use its comparable to 65%-75% chance of missing a backstab due to servers.
Its really just a gimmick, might as well not use it against L/M and you need that heavy to be standing still due to how tight the timing is.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.
Sword was balanced.
- No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
- No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
- No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
- No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

more things one shotting light I like your reasoning with all of these though because it is kinda lame that sword cant do its entire thing anymore but the thing about light and its melee weapons is they shouldn't be that strong BECAUSE OF LIGHTS MOVEMENT and thats why dagger keeps getting weird changes with its backstab radius and them trying to make its primary more useful, dagger is a situational weapon compared to sword, it offers more value but sword is way more consistent (and still is if used properly because of its FAT hitbox), throwing knives is the only outlier of a weapon that's a bit unfair and probably needs a reload mechanic, I think nerfing melee weapons and making lights specializations more reliable is a completely fair adjustment like giving light 2 grapples instead of one, Dash being less inconsistent and ping based (like making it a blink instead of just a momentum boost that falls off if youre laggy or trip on a pebble) and reworking cloak or recognizing that some people are just blind and will literally need a "heres the cloaked light" mechanic for them to realize theres a shifting piece of reality standing right infront of them.

It could have programmable ammo (as irl) where when close enough to an enemy, it would automatically explode (unless it detects it's gonna get a direct hit). Obviously, this means that its AoE DMG would be rather low, but it could be useful for chip damage or finishing off a target you've directly hit a few times.

For real, there is basically no counterplay to dual blades/aps when playing casual modes. Maybe with a full stack we can effectively counter, but when solo queuing, they're basically unkillable unless you get lucky

I actually really enjoy phantom strikes, and the medium kill combo of hit - phantom strike - thrust feels nice. If it could become more consistent but maybe a little stricter on the timing, I would gladly take 5 more damage on the thrust.

Like there is no weapon in the game that is less worth using. For Cerby however I think the issue is less the range and more the fact that one perfect shot can (with burn damage) kill a light. If the base damage was lowered by 1 per pellet, I think most people would be happy

sword takes way more skill than **most **guns in the game, you repeat and spout the same "no skill argument" despite never playing the weapon and only complain because you get killed by it.
sword takes the same amount of aim as half of the guns in this game even though you dont have to track with it, but requires much more skill when it comes to isolating 1v1's, positioning, resource management, timing, awareness, awareness of where your team is at, etc. every weapon benefits from these skills but sword players have to be more aware than other weapons as it allows for very little mistakes.
This is coming from someone who does love to play sword, but doesnt main it, and has an even split on heavy/light. and i can guarantee you after i switch off to literally any other light weapon, the game gets so much easier. It takes much more work for sword players to get the same amount of value as someone running xp-54 or half of lights other weapons.
As for my actual feedback...
My issue with sword is just a personal gripe, i wish there was more incentive to use the main attack than lunge. maybe up the damage of the left click and make it come out a bit faster? not super duper much, but enough to make it useful. Also, make it clearer for the user and enemy when a lunge is ready. || especially as the basic sword is a sabre of some kind and theres also a katana skin, both are more inclined to use cuts than thrusts in irl. there is a rapier skin (my beloved) but shhhh ||

Please Embark, make the gunplay better for console players. It feels terrible to shoot beyond 10m using an automatic gun with sticks or controllers. Also make the semi auto guns feel better as well. Maybe bump up the aim assist a little bit, unless both the devs and community agree that its perfectly balanced right now.

Think grapple needs a full rework/adjustment that makes it something you can actually swing with rather than just go up high with. Like Iâd love to use it in the same sense as I would pathfinder in apex/the grapple in tf2. If you could launch yourself great distances with grapple itâd open up the game to more varied movement and I bet weâd see a lot of cool plays based on the movement youâd get from it. The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.
Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

sword idea rather than limiting how much you can turn while lunging i think the hitbox should shrink as you turn so that its got the maximum reach going in a straight line but you can still turn to hit someone to your side if theyre close enough, it would reduce the effectiveness of just spinning like a beyblade without locking your camera and making it feel clunky to use

i think better animations for hitmarkers would be nice, the hitmarkers linger for a little long, and gives the illusion that some bullets hit even if they didn't. It can lead to a bit of frustration where hitmarkers tell you a different story than reality.

Multihit should ONLY be during its primary attack, not lunge. It makes no effng sense that a sword thats thrusting towards one person should be able to hit others that are not even in the direction of the thrust. The sword's primary attack is a swing anyway so it would make sense there. And he shouldn't be able to move fast while doing that, but can still evas dash and other stuff for movement. Also we should be able to use its primary attack while grappling so I can look like a pirate.
Fix it's stupid hitreg. I shouldnt be able to hit five people at the same time, while only touching like two of the people. it makes things confusing for the other end.

example - if i'm using XP-54 i'm going for 100% zoom cuz it's easier to track like that
but if i'm playing with bow - i have to lower my zoom to 60% cuz it has no zoom whatsoever so 100% feels like i'm just playing with hipfire

Plz buff grapple. It's clearly the least favored, least competitive specialization. I find it really strange that it hasn't got love considering it's the only light specialisation that's not annoying to come up against. People moan about cloak cz you just get jumped unexpectedly without making a mistake, and people complain about dash because they can't track - yet grapple is so much fun to use, isn't as annoying to face, and you make it the weakest?
I think two charges might be OP, but possibly not. Basically a shorter cool down AT LEAST. Please

my biggest issue with the game right now is the recent uptick in lag issues. Mid fights you will freeze or drop from the match. This can range from 3 to even 10 seconds of just stuck. And then either you die or lose the point so this is not good at all. It is not just me but many many of my friends that play. We all play on the east coast the USA. Last night we switch from Auto to north east and the same issue.

The entire reason sword was 140 in the first place was so 2 lunges plus a slash could kill heavies. Otherwise, completely agree. You could also mention how sniper (and bow I think) one shot headshot lights from a much longer range than sword

sword nerf is crazy thereâs kinda no point not just using a sniper. itâs less fun but iâve had more success in close up fights w lights cause you tag them once then use 1 dash to finish them off w melee instead of the 2 dash necessary w sword now. The issue is mainly this, sword relies on engaging and disengaging super quick and a light now takes as long to kill as a medium used to in this way. Medium requires more skill but still doable which is fine I guess. But fighting lights, better off using two lunge attacks (harder to hit) because thereâs a high chance theyâll dash away in the time it takes to swing, and itâs still fun but itâs not worth it in casual. Let alone viable in comp
Hi embark, something I've noticed a lot with new or returning casual players is that they are often turned off by the VRs to unlock new weapons. I've seen people, as well as my own friends, not bother to continue playing the game because they need to grind to try the new stuff, which I think overall hurts the possibility of them finding a weapon they really enjoy and staying as a result. I feel its important because other than classes, they are the main factors that change the gameplay experience for a person.
Just popping in to say that I'm really close to mastering all three phantom strikes, which I previously refused to do since I considered it cheating and temporary. I'm developing a new playstyle that's making me more dangerous than I was before the nerf. My motto has always been "NinjaNeet don't cheat". Don't like me cheating? then stop begging the Devs to repeatedly nerf what was already basically the worst weapon.
This is a good game most of the issues are really not that big of a deal

Please add a proper ping and packet loss counter. Whether it's added in the scoreboard, a separate UI option, or attached to the detailed FPS counter.
It would help us figure out what's up with the connections, and help us give better feedback on the server issues that have been going on.

every weapon has different feel of usage and scopes, and i really don't like changins my setting if i want to switch weapon
example - if i'm using XP-54 i'm going for 100% zoom cuz it's easier to track like that
but if i'm playing with bow - i have to lower my zoom to 60% cuz it has no zoom whatsoever so 100% feels like i'm just playing with hipfire - sr-84 hitscan should be reverted
in current state when even mediums have multiple options to fight against sniper rifle - i think it's fair go make it hitscan again - bow should have un-draw bind as reload
since this weapon is 1/infinite ammo it doesn't need reload at all, but the fact that you're unable to un-draw is hilarious. You have to use quick melee to stop it, and it can screw your timings sometimes really hard

Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
For the game
- Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
- Perma ban cheaters
- Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Let us go in practice with friends
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
- Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
- **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **
- Let us use our VR for XP weapons or other things (not from me but very interresting idea !)

- You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
- CB01-Repeater is just stupidly strong and OP.
- CL40 revert the buff.
- Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
- Nerf Turret range.
- Nerf proximity sensor range
- Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR
- **Nerf Cerberus damage ! **
- Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
- Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
- LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
- Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
- Chain and hook shouldn't do damage.

embark you need to monitor big changes closely instead of making huge sweeping changes and just leaving them like that for months on end. you had no issue clipping cl40's wings when it had its week of glory, but somehow cerberus escaped the same treatment when its infinitely more unhealthy for the game. cerberus meta has completely trashed medium's identity as a support character and made the game incredibly boring.

This games balancing improves at a snails pace. Itâs been almost a year and a half, not including 1 alpha and 3 betas, and we arenât even finished nerfing the overpowered primaries (cerberus)
Mediums class identity has been eviscerated by overnerfing defib and healing beam while buffing close range options (Cerberus) and then not giving any cool utility to the class??? Medium has the same amount of gadgets that it did on launch. How??? It has the most potential for interesting gadgets and specs.
Light is a horribly designed shitshow that scares away casuals and has 1 viable playstyle in high elo. When are you redesigning the specs that only get value based on enemy mistakes? Invis blows if your opponent is good at spotting it. Dash is horrible if your opponent can aim. No wonder the class eats shit against good players and frustrates casuals until they quit.
Heavyâs specs have been dumbed down a ton. Goo gun has been shadow nerfed a lot, mesh had its skill expression removed with juggling, winch is still not telegraphed???
Half of the items in the game have the status of âliterally never put this in your loadout if you want to win in any serious environment.â How?? Itâs almost been two years.
Shit like Cerberus gets gigabuffed one patch and then goes unmonitored and ruins ranked and competitive play for months. Maybe be quick to walk back a change after buffing a weapon 3 times in one patch???
Cashout is still miserable. Team spawns, vault spawns, cashout spawns, third parties, all or nothing gameplay, griefing, being punished for other teams mistakes, etc all make knockout rounds horrible to play.
3v3 is STILL all or nothing for some reason??? The gamemode has enough downtime in the first place but then the points system means only 2-3 of the fights in the entire ~12 minute round actually matter.
Iâve always been super defensive of this games dev team and balancing because every new team shooter suffers from bad balancing at first. But this isnât a new game anymore. And youâve stated in multiple dev comments that you actually think the game is well balanced. Thereâs no more hope left for any player when the devs of the terribly balanced game come out and say âoh we actually think the game is in a great spotâ

World tour point system needs a rework, getting 6 points for getting into round 2 is insane.
Realistically getting 3rd in round 1 should net you 3 points then second and first should be 5 points
Second round 3rd place should get 5, second and first should net you 10(these all stack with the finals round results) winning final should net you 30 points losing should net you 20
so all in all in round one you come 1st you get 5 points, in round 2 you come first again you get 15 and in the final if you win you get 45 points. ATM the point system just feels meh this is me spitballing btw if you've got better solutions i would love to here it.

Cerberus is very unique it should have its fire damage be the brunt of its damage, every pellet should start fire damage but its overall pellet damage (that isn't from be fire) should be nerfed probably round to less than the model so 10 per pellet whilst making the fire damage do 20 the first shot then 35 then 50 to offset the lose of immediate damage give it a few extra meters of range
Famas might need a slight recoil adjustment to make it less easy (currently the best ar by a mile) and/or a damage nerf
Smoke nades need some downside currently they have no counter besides thermal or any motion sensors but you can only cover so much ground with them, maybe fire or gas should counter act them
Creator cosmetics and or charms would be a cool thing to add to the game
Any fixes for the no sprint no shoot and constant sonar bug in the works ?

Add kusarigama for light,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage where blade hits not the chain,itâs skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction.
To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.
There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim
U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.
Either u canât use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else itâs the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

Increase the ranking point gap between players in a match so that it can vary by a couple thousand to fix queue times and increase the amount of people someone gets to play against.
Differentiate the amount lost from placing 5/6/7/8, making it less punishing to place 5th over 6th and 7th over 8th
Allow the amount of points gained or lost to vary with a wider range (still having the same maximum and minimum as of right now), cap the amount gained so that two gold 2 players in a plat lobby wont gain an insane amount more than a team more favored to win.
If a team is favored to lose by a wide margin (me having some bronze 2 in my lobby out of nowhere) lower the amount lost for dropping out of first round)

This is officially my main FPS game, and honestly main game overall, but due to my current circumstances I am forced to use Linux, but I am scared to spend any money in game because there isn't much information or talk around continued linux support. Yes it works, and yes it is supported, but I hear that random updates to easy anti cheat and how THE FINALS uses it makes the game just randomly not work, and it ends up being fixed by the linux or valve community. I would love to see anyone that works on this game give some clarity around linux users and how further development with impact playability

This is going to be my last time complaining about the sword nerfs, and itâs going to be a long rant.
As a sword main, I know itâs very good in low ranks but gets worse the higher you go. I play mostly quick play, and I have put way too many hours into sword and thus do very well. I understand that this can be frustrating for new players, and I donât really have a counter to that
The damage nerf didnât just affect the light matchup, it hurt every matchup. Itâs much harder to win fights against every class, and every fight is mostly struggling to get a pick and dying . 105 damage means lights get a chance to get away and forces me to use more dashes for the same number of kills. Mediums are not as bad, only taking a quick melee on top of the previous 2 lunges, yet quick melee time is still time they can use to kill you. Finally, the heavy matchup is egregious. It went from 2 lunges and a slash to 3 lunges and a quick melee. Previously, it took a lot but was definitely doable if you managed dashes right. Now, however, you basically need all 3 dashes to kill a single heavy, and if a team has more than one heavy itâs practically impossible to fight their team.
Hereâs how to buff sword: 110-124 damage per lunge puts us back in the quick melee a light range, which is in the right direction but definitely not enough. 125-135 damage brings us back to two lunges killing a medium. This is just an objectively more fun change than 110-124. Finally, thereâs 136-140, which is just the same as old sword. I may be biased but this is by far the best case scenario because sword needs its old relationship with heavies.
My friend made a suggestion to me: giving a cooldown between using a melee weapon and quick melee. This solves the instant kill on lights with both sword and sledgehammer. If this is done, we should get 136-140 lunge damage so sword isnât reliant on quick melee for heavies or mediums.
Had to get that out, and please listen Embark, I love your game so much.

What's going on in the ranked games today?! I ran into a lot of toxic and badly behaved people and I had to report them. They should leave the ranked games for serious people and not just any old ones. I had to leave and report them several times. I was at gold 2 and I went down to silver. What a horrible day.

Kyoto needs to go, either temporarily or definitely, depending on whether or not it can be significantly improved.
It's obvious that the devs poured lots of work and passion into building a gorgeous map, but unfortunately it has been the worst map to play on since its introduction in S3.
The main issue IMHO is that vaults/cashouts are too spread apart, and moving around is a chore. There's too much clutter, sometimes in addition to lots of inconsistent climbing (bamboo forest area in particular), large stretches of water that slow you down to a stand still, not enough ziplines/jump pads... It just doesn't flow like other maps do.
Playing Medium/Light feels almost mandatory, as playing Heavy is a pain, unless you are in a full stack with M/L providing movement at all times.
PLEASE stop matching solo players against Ruby top-100 the best players of the world playing in a party. This is so insanely unfair and frustrating 
-Reduce amount of rounds for Diamond+ players from 3->2 so there will be no need to fill lobbies with solo randoms and high-rankeds will become much more fair and competitive instead of ruby squads just farming RP by kicking kids
-Split lobbies between full teams and solo+duo
-Limit the difference between any player in a lobby to be 5k max
Sword doesn't deserve to be nerfed into the ground like this for "damage" when plenty of other options were better for that. But, I realize this is likely to be a temporary thing while you fix phantom hits on sword. So I have some suggestions for the tech instead.
Many players complain about phantoms being unfair because you have no idea if a sword user is doing it, and it raises their dps by a lot.
I think a good solution for this would be creating a visual effect for when it happens, as well as a special sound that plays the moment you input it correctly. That way players will be able to react to it a bit more, and it will expose a sword players location as well.
I also think they should take 1.2x damage after a phantom is inputted, until the animation is completely finished.
In return, I suggest that phantoms stay in the game, and become consistently usable (so long as you input it correctly, which is still a difficult input. Also, currently, phantoms are not consistent, and are usable/unusable every life.) This keeps the cool tech that sword mains like in the game, but makes it clearly communicated to other players and forces sword players to consider if the phantom is worth it based on the situation.

Also, the benefit is far less than the hated emote cancels. Most sword mains believe gadget cancels to be fair.
Finally, the damage. Honestly the damage was fine at 140. There are plenty of other weapons in the game that one shot a light a light even without a quick melee, some of them requiring less skill than the Sword. So I don't believe this really needs to be covered. Please revert it.

I think that, in a game like The Finals where weapon diversity is a major selling point, if players are forced to learn a new weapon just because their old main is non-viable now, something is very wrong. No one should be forced to play a single play style or to give up the style that makes the game fun for them. Iâm a melee and shotgun main for the most part. 5v5 cashout gamemode that ticks cash into the holding teams counter on a time limit instead of being all or nothing. Reset cooldowns on team wipe, closer token spawns, more/infinite tokens. Final cashout can go into overtime while being held by the losing team until either captured or losing team overtakes first place

I'm not going to stop complaining about suicides stealing kills until it's fixed. I refuse to believe that situations like this occurring could be an intended feature unless the developers enjoy pointlessly frustrating players. This is NOT a skill issue, just objectively bad design. Seriously, just make it so that if someone suicides and another player damaged them in the last 2 seconds, it counts as a kill. It is such a simple and easy fix, yet self damaging weapons have been getting away with kill theft since I started playing. No kill, no assist, but the death counts, and now my stats are shit.

Genuine question, does anyone else find it really unfair that the LH1 (Light DMR) gets like 5 different sights, and the Pike (Medium DMR) gets only two (the irons and the pretty crappy scope)? These two weapons are almost identical in the purpose they serve, and yet one is getting more attention from Embark. I find this genuinely unfair. Of course, I might be missing something so anyone feel free to tell me otherwise. On a separate note, I feel like the revolver's red dot is much worse/harder to use than the irons, but I still feel like the gun would benefit from some more aiming options, however, it also didn't receive any new additions in the update. I really hope Embark realizes this and perhaps gives these weapons some attention.

Sword doesn't deserve to be nerfed into the ground like this for "damage" when plenty of other options were better for that. But, I realize this is likely to be a temporary thing while you fix phantom hits on sword. So I have some suggestions for the tech instead.
Many players complain about phantoms being unfair because you have no idea if a sword user is doing it, and it raises their dps by a lot.
I think a good solution for this would be creating a visual effect for when it happens, as well as a special sound that plays the moment you input it correctly. That way players will be able to react to it a bit more, and it will expose a sword players location as well.
I also think they should take 1.2x damage after a phantom is inputted, until the animation is completely finished.
In return, I suggest that phantoms stay in the game, and become consistently usable (so long as you input it correctly, which is still a difficult input. Also, currently, phantoms are not consistent, and are usable/unusable every life.) This keeps the cool tech that sword mains like in the game, but makes it clearly communicated to other players and forces sword players to consider if the phantom is worth it based on the situation.

5v5 cashout would allow for far more varied team comps under the familiar objective and would give life to items that are hard to fit into 3v3 team comps like the LMGs, goo gun, etc.

- Is on a class with 100 more HP than Light
- But can 1-shot Light which is literally unhealthy for a Medium ranged weapon
- And has higher RPM than the SH1900
- And has tighter spread than the SH1900 which means longer max range than the SH1900 before number of shots needed to kill changes
- And has better poke from range because successfully causing burn proc guarantees a +31 damage bonus
- And has better utility because fire can get rid of goo and gas both
- And has more kills per reload and more forgiving shots-to-kill efficiency than the SH1900 (read below)

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.
Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage.

This isn't Mortal Kombat, its an FPS. Asking for different inputs to be properly added as features so there's more "skill expression" is just a death sentence for new or unskilled players. Also, even if the sword nerf was too much (which it wasn't), pick another weapon. They added so many other options, some of them also overpowered, and it wouldn't kill you to try one of them. Let them sort out the light class damage and stun gun stuff and try to enjoy the game instead of asking for their changes to be reverted.
the backstab damage hitbox continues to be fundamentally broken, at least when taking into account the consistent server issues regarding low tik rates/desync. i get stabbed for full damage while facing someone in a window sill, after gooing them off mid dash/attack, etc. If you're going to have stupid melee dynamics in the game, at least fix your servers and the animations so they match up with whats actually happening because it makes no dang sense rn. I can have my back in corner facing a dagger light and shooting them in the head as they advance towards me and the next minute im dead after taking 320 damage after they somehow dash directly into me/maneuver behind me despite the aforementioned circumstances of me deliberately planning ahead to counter this possibility. A little consistency would go a long way

If I have to face a 5 stack in powershift or tdm as a solo in a bag of randoms Iâm going to kill myself. I know its bound to happen every once in a while but it happens soooooo often. Like every third game or so.
Please try to tweak the matchmaking to prioritize matching stacks against stacks. Thereâs no reason dumb little solos like me should be facing a 5 stack this often.
Also. I rarely have strong feelings about weapon balance but good lord reign in the smg ranges. Weâre fast approaching Titanfall 2 levels of rifle disuse on light at the moment. And the best part is the LH1 and ARN are pretty good rifles! But the XP-54 is so dominant at long ranges especially against meds and lights that thereâs no reason to use either of them, especially when the pistols exist. The SMGs NEED to be balanced like SMGs. They NEED to be close range. If you still want the XP to be the more accurate option then great give it really good hipfire but reign in the ranged damage for christs sake it makes the rest of the class (and the playstyles therein) less interesting.

I agree that damage was never the issue, but saying it's still an issue is laughable. I've put 1500 hours refining my skills with the sword and i can confidently say it's basically impossible to use right now, even with tons of experience under your belt.

the World Tour respawn token system needs to be changed/reworked, like how it is now where you have to wait to use a token to respawn is "ok" but it's better to have a teammate get you up so you can save your tokens, but the change/rework is make it where only using a tokens bypasses the wait timer and respawns you, and if you wait for the timer to hit zero you can respawn normally without using any tokens, this respawn token system change/rework would counter revive statue campers. because i just had a game where a heavy camped my revive statue where my teammates couldn't get me, and i was out of tokens and i only used them to try and keep a cashout from being stolen, so this change/rework would be healthy for World Tour, and if you want to try it out in ranked by all means give it a try and see how it works out.

Melee fights should reward timing, it makes no sense especially for a riot shield to not block a bit of sword dash, and spear and hammer second attack
maybe ability to block but with getting pushed back a bit depending on the angle? Impact shock on sword dash and pushed back on and hammer and spear since their hits are a bit heavier.

The nerf to sword really felt like an echo of what happened season 4 with the model where the weapon goes from being top of the meta to being a neesh weapon that few people use after such a drastic nerf. The recent lunge changes really felt like a dirty way to take the sword out of the competitive meta. I suppose I look at things purely in a competitive stand point which may not reflect the thought processes of game balancers at Embark, but at the top level of play sword has many known counters though I will admit it did have some problems. It really felt that all the hours I put into sword and the money I put in to sword skins felt ultimately wasted now because I can't use it to the same effect anymore. I've been a player since season 1 and have chosen the sword as my main weapon since then, so I am quite biased, but it really feels like I've been taken out of the game in a way

This is petty (very petty), and I'd be the first to say that THE FINALS cosmetics are S tier - my favorite of any game I've played - but those "SIGNED BY [SPONSOR]" stickers in the career track just bum me out. This is my third season with a sponsor, and I can't make those stickers look anything but unfortunate when I equip them. Maybe this isn't the urgent instance to do it in, but I wonder if existing cosmetics, like these stickers, could ever get a little rework if and when the Embark team ever saw fit. As an example, I feel like the IRL version of this kind of sponsorship (e.g., a sponsored athlete) would be promoted as something like "MEMBER OF TEAM ALFA ACTA," or just an emblem that represented "TEAM ALFA ACTA." I'm not saying that would make it an actual team, but like an athlete might say he's on "Team Nike" or an "Official Nike Athlete." Then again, maybe it's just the graphic design of the stickers, with the big white borders that I'm finding so difficult to match. Though, maybe that's a little bit the point, that the sticker can't be too good for one that so many people can get. I understand that, too, but felt the urge to say something. Anyway, love you guys, especially the art department, but if I could change one cosmetic ever, it would be those.

Hey embark I really like the thermal vision gadget for light but as someone photosensitive I kinda really hate how bright it is and often buggy, sometimes people wont glow sometimes they will? I think this gadget would benefit just being like a red outline through smoke or something rather than something I have to stop shooting to pull out as it flash bangs me randomly.
and on that note demat is an issue having an extremely good skill ceiling with very little counterplay and needs to be dealt with because having mediums open and close holes in the roof over and over again to shoot down at me is a little obnoxious especially since you cant close the holes without having another demat

My squad and I win 3 plat lobby ranked tournaments in a row last week and yet I still get placed in gold 4 and now we just get 10+ minute queues only to face against fking ruby teams. This is why I never fcking play ranked and it's the worst ranking system I have ever seen

Itâs every damn game db shotgun and xp-54 dash scum, it ruins everything itâs so unfair and unfun to play against sick of having to switch off my preferred play style literally every game, if it wasnât for the fact ospuze has a sponsorship this season I would have literally uninstalled already, this has been the least fun season Iâve played and most upset Iâve gotten at a game in my entire life. I work a 3pm-12am I ainât got the time to practice for fighting full stack teams and ruby players constantly in âcasualâ game modes. I love what this game is but the balancing and matchmaking sucks terribly idk how Iâm always stuck fighting gaming gods, cheaters and meta knights but I havenât had fun except for bunny bash because there is no terrible meta there. But coming home nightly to play a game Iâm supposed to enjoy feels more like a punishment than a fun hobby. Itâs a real shame because there is no other game like the finals but the blatant catering to the people who play ranked and use meta is sad to see, you have all these different weapons but if you wanna use em you gotta hope the opposing team isnât using the obviously overpowered items otherwise good luck using any of the âlesserâ weapons to compete against them. I consider myself an experienced fps player and not being able to fight back with preferred weapons makes me angry enough I cant even imagine how bad it must be for the new players. If anything also please add a PvE gamemode of some sort so I could at least unwind a bit and keep myself more sanity while playing this hellishishly addicting game.
I think the game engine has issues. Of my ~5 friends who play on PC, 3 of us have significantly worse peformance than you would expect while running the game. In my case, I have a 3060 Ti and each component of my build is matching expected benchmark performances. I have to run The Finals at ~90 fps on super low settings and I still get frequent frame drops to 75 fps. Not sure what it is, I've tested it after doing a full clean reset on my computer and every other game I play runs perfectly fine. Given that it's not even an isolated instance among my friend group, it's definitely a finals issue. Not sure why or how, but it is by far the biggest pain point I have
The fact that barriers cannot be placed due to the smallest of ground-debris in a destruction-based game is a pain point that could be fixed by prioritizing barriers placement over debris. if i imagine from a game dev pov, i would code the barriers to destroy or "push" the debris out of the way. Imagine getting shot by a mini gun, medium cl40, and xp-54 and you cant place barricade because Kyoto has the smallest grass-object in the way. I think the solution is to give barricade a small destruction value.
skillbased matchmaking for the enemies would be nice, but i'd much prefer a matchmaking that didnt put 2 cognitively deficient lights on my team 3 tournaments in a row

Just wait till the taser is added back in. I've been playing as much as I can while it's disabled because you know every light player is going to equip it immediately when its back. Game feels so much better without it, even with hordes of light mains still swarming casual using DB and XP. I think its funny the sword got gutted even though the DB can kill single targets quicker and nearly as efficiently even at slightly longer ranges, just with little multi-target damage potential. Generally speaking if you main any particular weapon you can still outplay people using the meta stuff, but it might be a lot more work depending on what your go-to favorite weapon(s) to use is. It really all comes down to good positioning and staying with your team if you really want to avoid being caught out by lights. Also, PvE sounds like a bad direction for The Finals, IMO.

My current list of suggestions:
- More sensitivity options
every weapon has different feel of usage and scopes, and i really don't like changins my setting if i want to switch weapon
example - if i'm using XP-54 i'm going for 100% zoom cuz it's easier to track like that
but if i'm playing with bow - i have to lower my zoom to 60% cuz it has no zoom whatsoever so 100% feels like i'm just playing with hipfire - sr-84 hitscan should be reverted
in current state when even mediums have multiple options to fight against sniper rifle - i think it's fair go make it hitscan again - "Un-draw" option for weapons that could have it (bow, throwing knives etc)
since these weapons is 1/infinite ammo it doesn't need reload at all, but the fact that you're unable to un-draw is hilarious. You have to use quick melee to stop it, and it can screw your timings sometimes really hard (it takes 1.5 seconds just to be able charge again)

Please remove thermal vision, and Nerf Cloak visibility. Thermal is a cruch pick that's not fun to run, and cloak is WAY too frustrating to deal with without it
There is also sonar grenades and tracking dart as options... also just use your eyes and ears if you know someone in the lobby is using cloak/cloak bomb.

Make different Lobbies for Stacked and Solo Players. Id prefer to wait longer than deal with stacked lobbies and getting a second Asshole round per round... It would also make it harder for stacked team to actually advance and would be more welcoming for new players as well.

Add kusarigama for light,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage where blade hits not the chain,itâs skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction.
To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.
There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim
U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.
Either u canât use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else itâs the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.
Breach charge should break smaller holes in walls so lights can minimise exposure that large destructon has right now, because u have 3 charges u can still make bigger holes.It should still stack damage .
Cloak aka invisiblity in general in this game is so bad and easy to spot just open your eyes

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.
Sword was balanced.
- No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
- No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
- No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
- No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Especially annoying because Iâve gotten pretty good at hearing folks coming but then without warning Iâm taking damage from someone with a rifle 2 inches to my left and Iâm only hearing damage sounds lol. Itâd make sense if these were folks crouching around with invis and the sh1900 or whatever but no itâs always like Heavies with the m60.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

I know balance is an important issue, but I think one of the most detrimental problems with The Finals is the matchmaking. I understand there is no SBMM, but there has to be a EOMM system at play, which is killing this game. It's absolutely no fun terrorizing one game and then the next game getting absolutely crushed bc the game decides to give you level 1 players who have no experience. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this game needs SBMM or some version of it.

The real issue lies in the matchmaking system, which fails to implement an Elo-based system (or MMR) that separates novices who canât handle the sword from experienced users who can. Many of the clueless beginners donât even realize their own shortcomings and instead keep whining that the sword should be nerfed. On top of that, in response to all the whining, embArk foolishly decided to reduce what was a precisely calculated damage value. The 140 damage was intentional and meticulously calculated, but the complainers managed to ruin it. embArk shouldnât nerf this kind of âintentional and calculated damage.â Instead of listening to all the idiots, your should consider applying different patches for different serversâespecially since America is worse than Asia. SERIOUSLY

World tour point system needs a rework, getting 6 points for getting into round 2 is insane.
Realistically getting 3rd in round 1 should net you 3 points then second and first should be 5 points
Second round 3rd place should get 5, second and first should net you 10(these all stack with the finals round results) winning final should net you 30 points losing should net you 20
so all in all in round one you come 1st you get 5 points, in round 2 you come first again you get 15 and in the final if you win you get 45 points. ATM the point system just feels meh this is me spitballing btw if you've got better solutions i would love to here it.

Cerberus is very unique it should have its fire damage be the brunt of its damage, every pellet should start fire damage but its overall pellet damage (that isn't from be fire) should be nerfed probably round to less than the model so 10 per pellet whilst making the fire damage do 20 the first shot then 35 then 50 to offset the lose of immediate damage give it a few extra meters of range

Smoke nades need some downside currently they have no counter besides thermal or any motion sensors but you can only cover so much ground with them, maybe fire or gas should counter act them.
For newer players could we have exclusive contracts that reward 250 vrs for a complete, currently my friends are getting into the game and them not having certain util makes them feel meh about the game, would be nice as a catch up mechanic we could also allow club contracts to reward vrs aswell.

my team mates were higher rank than the lobby and they couldn't even played half ass good lets see if this is a one game thing because i am in a game with them again with the same guys. We lost again i was playing dagger didn't want to bother to carry them with other stuff so wanted to have fun. Even i wanted to try to carry them i play ranged weapons so i would be trying to dmg other teams while because they are just turrets in the cash boxes it wouldn't matter. They were ass 2 cerb and 2 healing beam. No demat cost us 1 obvious cash out. Beam made 0 difference because they were not getting trades because how can you get trades with cerbs...

I reached Diamond 4 in S5 and stopped there, as I just wanted to unlock the Deagles skin. I ranked up assisting two buddies who are on the aggressive high KDR side of the spectrum, while I'm more of a careful, back row support type. What they did in combat score was usually what I did in assist score. Didn't get carried but couldn't have made it on my own with randoms, so I would say I'm an okay-ish player.
I've played with and against other Diamond players, some really made me wonder how they even made it past Silver, especially when spectating their catastrophic accuracy, movement or decision making. So it really isn't that hard to rank up with the right team mates.

rework sword. Make lunge charge a bit quicker, less or same damage than right now, let it cover more distance and change directions mid air. Give main attack more attack speed so it holds up in dps/ttk to other weapons. OR revert it. Dont leave it as a pool noodle, so many people where enjoying this game for beeing an fps where melee worked out without completly overtaking meta or beeing useless, now you pushed it to the useless side of things. I have a feeling all the special fun interaction stuff is also taken out bit by bit, like riding red gas canisters (which had no real use, but was fun/skill/knowledge expression). Give finals more character back, dont let the special weapons be useless.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

World tour emrald is too much of a grind. It has nothing to do with skill from how things feel. It is just a time sink.
The most skillful teams will still take over 200 hours to get emrald. (if you think that number is dramatic, look at streamers who do subathons on this game. The time it took them to reach emrald 1 esentailly boiled down to an 8 hour work day for two and a half weeks). That is like a second job. I have a life and the finals will never be the center of it, expecting otherwise is just nonsense.
This is my favourite shooter out right now, but it's going to die if you continue to match people against ruby players, i'm a 34 year old middle aged dad, i shouldn't be getting matched against top 500 players

Revert Sword Lunge to 140. Removing Lunge+QM combo vs Light when Light kills Light fast with literally anything is nonsensical. Only change needed = Fix phantom strikes.
Sword was balanced.
- No synergy with Dash = Would be too immobile for Light melee that needs multiple hits
- No QM synergy = Breakpoints would be too slow for Light melee that needs multiple hits, requires not overshooting lunge to make it harder to aim at you, must stop right beside enemy to QM
- No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage
- No lingering flicks = Would be too readable for Light melee that needs multiple hits

Its a single fire weapon that can't miss or else you die, I have 300 hours with it and even though I hit 80-85% of my shots I can't even kill a surprised medium with quick reflexes. No one talks about it in this channel because NO ONE uses it. You tried to make it a good all-round weapon, but instead you just made it bad at everything. Buff DMG or revert the firerate nerf
Embark: can you please share some data on the percentage of time the most skilled team wins in Cashout? My guess is that it is far far lower than any other FPS. Because there is too much randomness in the matches and individual players are too powerless I fear you are squandering the potential of this great game. Please try some new things. The Bunny Bash event might be the worst event that Embark has ever done. The idea of having an event that locks players to with the most toxic weapons such as the Cerb, CL-40, and Mini-gun in a power shift mode is mindboggling.
I know you devs are trying to come up with fun stuff for us player to enjoy, but the fact that even Valve devs were mocking an Embark dev trying to stream Bunny Bash on their personal twitch to the point the ended it almost immediately after it started should tell you something.

I've seen a lot of people ask for grapple buffs, and I think I have a cool idea for it. In the current game, there is a bug (feature?) you can throw a grenade and with good aim grapple onto it and fly with it. I think that instead of removing it you could make it so any time you throw a grenade, and then shoot your grapple close enough to it, it will snap onto it. This makes it much easier to perform, which is a big buff in my opinion. It would also be a lot more fun

Heavy Specialisation: Ice Gun/Freezethrower
Similar in usage to the goo guns playstyle, in the sense that you are trading a direct combat specialisation for a support/area control specialisation. Its interactions would be like this (subject to change for balancing, these are just starting points):
- Can apply frost to walls/floors/ceilings. Shooting the surface for a short time will only add a thin layer of ice, which makes the surface slippery and immune to being set on fire (nearby fire can melt it though, or a flamethrower). If you continue to freeze a surface, the material itself will become icey and fragile, allowing it to be broken by guns or melee, like a slightly stronger glass. It would also make both sides of the surface slightly transparent, so it wouldnt be stealthy by any means
- Directly freezing a player will do little/no damage, but apply a slow debuff for debatable amount of time

Combining too many ranks to the point you have a diamond and a new player, playing together, and getting matches labeled as "very easy" or "easy" but the randomness along with the shitty spawns can make you get 6-8th multiple times, losing a lost of RS. Its only really a problem for people who solo queue making it go under the radar since not everyone is complaining about it. Its def a problem thats getting worse and itll take more than buffing and nerfing weapons. Hopefully once they start doing more frequent patches we'll see some bold changes

- No full damage multihit = Would be useless if >1 enemy, in melee as lowest HP class but 0 breakpoints hit on anyone except first, pick a gun for ranged non-multihit damage

The sword damage nerf was due to the frustration on other lights recieving the lunge+qm combo. How can the Sword be an issue to lights (and especially gun lights) when they have the range and TTK advantage? You just single-handedly shut down and made your sword loving players annoyed by this nerf all to appease these gun loving lights who wants this game to be "just another shooter".
Best solution to make it more fun while minimizing the frustration is to revert the nerf, and add in new, and similarly competent melee/unique/unconventional weapon in the game so that there it would solidify the point of making this game balanced for all kinds of playstyle and not just guns.
I understand that there are like 2 melee weapons per class, but the issue is that it's pretty much rare to see them in ranked due to how bad it is (aside from the pre-nerfed/balanced sword.) Like I said here seasons ago, do NOT nerf sword and buff the other melee weapon to be just as competent as the sword. Do that while adding more competent and fun melee weapons and the game would be 10x more enjoyable without being "just another shooter"

Jokes aside I play all classes pretty equally but light and heavy are usually my goto for having fun. Sword and throwing knives were always my favorite but the recent additions of shak/arn have made it so that its almost impossible to get a few kills in a fight without the chip damage killing you. Post nerf I dont think you can genuinely get a kill against any weapon in the entire game unless the players are bad and unable to shoot at you. I can understand why complaints about sword may have spiked since stungun was removed from the game almost 2 months ago now but we were just told its still 1 more month away. I have never had an extreme enough problem with either the sword or the stungun that I thought it was a good idea to outright remove them from the game. Not only that, but as a light, I thought the drawback was that we had mobility but lacked hp leading to instances where we COULD get 1shot, if i missed my stungun and wasnt able to play verticality(like grapple hook or gateway/jump pad) it always felt like I deserved to die to the sword.

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Honestly, the no showing rank at all is BS during a ranked game. I have been absolutely destroyed in gold lobbies by teams who are clearly ruby. Was it to hide matchmaking errors? Its infuriating not knowing the rank of the enemies even after the game is over. If you must hide it during the game I understand, but after is necessary
Smoke + Thermal gets brought up a lot, as there are limited counters available to it and easiest one is seen as Thermal on Light. What if Recon Senses came back on a limited range to offer that counter (as well as 3rd party detection at 75 ~ 125m, not 200m), along with Thermal Sights on Heavy? All 3 classes can bring smokes, but only Light makes easiest use out of it (Motion sensors work, but... eh, not reactively, it requires setup).

Add individual map bans for ranked. Starcraft 2 has a similar system. There are 7 maps in map pool and you can ban 3 of them so that you never play on them if you don't want to. I understand why such a system would be an issue for world tour but I strongly believe something like this should be implemented for ranked. Every time I see kyoto or las vegas (even tho new las vegas is more bearable), I want to close the game and just leave, no matter the class/weapon/build. Kyoto is a beautiful map but I would rather play 100 times of any other map than 1 game on Kyoto. Such a system could also factor quick play modes since every time I see Kyoto I just leave to search the new game. Allowing players to choose which maps they want to play will make everyone happy. If you want to play Kyoto or any other map, simply donât ban itâthere may be 24 other players who feel the same way.

I went to 39.9k twice with dagger, but tried to soloQ and dropped to 33k.
Then I said fuck it, played 5 matches of Cerberus, and apeshitted my way back to Diamond. In one of those games, my actual Diamond rank-up, I played against Carnifex. He tried to plug in a cashout, and I two-shot him with Cerberus. Yup, really outplayed him. Deleted a top player with zero effort using a weapon Iâve never touched before. I donât even play Medium, donât use Demat, and I still wiped him and his Heavy just because I picked the right broken loadout.
They avoided us for the rest of the match because we were running double Cerberus and M60. Clearly the better players, right? We âoutskilledâ a top 50 team with two busted guns and 500 HP worth of Mediums. Sure, we lost the final round, but I shit on top 500 players just by pressing left click with a weapon that takes no aim, no risk, and is glued to the strongest class in the game.
There are zero braincells involved in pressing Demat and vaguely aiming to two-shot anyone who dares to be near you.
Meanwhile, dagger? I need to lock in, play perfect, position properly, mechanically execute dash > stab, and maybe get a kill. And if I miss? Iâm just dead.
Miss your shots as Medium? Press spec and vanish into the floor.
Mispositioned during a cashout? Press spec and stall it for 10 seconds like itâs nothing.
Playing dagger? One bodyblock and I canât do jackshit.

Why does the 250 HP class get a weapon that deletes everything around it with no effort, while the 150 HP class gets a melee weapon that only works if the enemy is a full-on moron or the dagger player has 1000+ hours of precision, patience, and raw execution? Why is it only like 1/30 deaths I get to see someoneâs player card? It seems like it should show every time. Also, it would be great to be able to see teammatesâ player cards before/during a match. It would be so nice to get some idea about how I should expect them to play. Also, less important, but I often forget to check if teammates are in voice chat until we wipe, but then I canât see the indicators until we spawn again. Seems like something that should also maybe be on the scoreboard or something so we can check anytime

I wish there were more variations of maps. I like 'under construction', 'duck and cover', 'high rise' and 'sandstorm' as alternate versions of a few maps. I wish Skyway Stadium, Kyoto, Sys$Horizion and Monaco had alternatives as well.
Also the game has been way more fun playing in casual modes without the stun gun in every light's loadout. Whatever the change is I hope it's still not used by most as a crutch for a free kill.

Hey man I completely agree. It was a stupidly strong and underrated weapon with animation cancels because it was really accurate at that range. But when they removed it it forced players to use it only beyond that range and it's absolutely awful to use now because of how hard it is to hit someone accurately at that range. A projectile speed increase would be massive for its accuracy but I think bringing back animation cancel would feel a trillion times nicer. I guess embark feels that ks23 should've been a long range weapon but they kinda killed that potential when it's a projectile weapon and it felt stupid good at close range

this season is legit just light & and heavy > medium. Every single medium gun is usless other than Cerberus and famas. You can get kills with say the fcar and other guns but in the grand scheme guns like xp-54 and Cerberus, ARN, minigun and sledge have so much more leeway. xp-54's damage and range are insane, I can get laserd by a xp-54 from across a bridge, losing half my health in less than a second from 50-60m, ARN literally doesnt have recoil, which makes 0 sense for a light weapon when they already have high mobility and small hitboxs . Heavy has goo gun, lockbolt and winch to trap a player or bring them closer to do 220 in one swing, and they also have the minigun which can do massive damage and insta kill a medium if they just wind it up before peaking, or hide behind shield and medium heal beam, there's no counter to any of the things I just listed, mediums weapons cant hold up to the damage and range. The only guns are famas which has little to no recoil after the recent patch and high burst damage, and Cerberus which can do 170 in one shot along with fire damage.
All of this plus the fact spawning is a mess with 2 teams spawning next to each other, cashboxs spawning right next to each other, people spawning 200m+ away from cashout with time to steal or theirs that they were just defending and instead spawning 80m away from the cashout that has 15 secs left before its done. Aswell as the meta of just 3rd party stealing last second, or the 1st place team, teaming with the 4th place team to get 2nd knocked out. With spawns making this targeting even worse cause you are forced in a position that puts you in a disadvantage. Finally your matchmaking will put a ruby and a new player together, or against each other (even worse) and itll label matches as "very easy" and "easy" when, accounting with all of the just mentioned problems makes it boil down to who has more dumb luck and thats it, causing many players to lose due to poor luck rather than skill.
I got to diamond with ease and majority of the matches are just "who gets the better spawn" regardless of skill. Please fix matchmaking and nerf one of these guns for now, the game feels like it is such a poor state and many people agree mentioning alot of the problems that I am now.
Arn needs a slight damage buff like 1-2 more damage to make it viable as an option. Medium needs an smg, a rifle, not a dual wield full auto Glock, something like the cmmg banshee for example

After midnight on eu, all the wh, aimbotting, spinbots come out to play. And they do not hide it well. People crossmap one shotting with guns that are close range. Headshotting people without looking at them. Infinite ammo. People clearly using wh and aimbot. They are so blaitant about it to. No matter what mode you go in to after midnight. Most games will have cheaters. And i see the same people again and again doing it. So something needs to change with the anticheat. Turn it up a notch at night time.

Sure, light should probably get a nerf, but maybe in the form of making the character model bigger. Give us access to stats! I wanna see how many kills/deaths I have on map X, my win percentage on map Y. Give me the ability to see basic statistics. which should be very simple to track. Also, please show a summary stat for "Time" in the end game stats so that it is not only obvious that a player joined the match late, but you can tell how long they played for.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
Add fanning revolver for light with incendiary bullets but they r projectile but hit hard,u can use fanning action to quickly fire bullet.
Ks23 needs a headshot buff 1.2x,wall penetration and NO bullet deviation.

Sometime ago my sharp eyesight caught the outrageous change where the Sword's damage output was severely nerfed with no proper reasoning... other than the excessive disappointment of players who haven't tried hard enough to face the edge of the blade.. literally, 90% ||(my estimate đ¤)|| of you have (very) long-range and all of which, other than the dagger.. ||(sorry daggers.. your weapon may be đ¤ but it can seriously cause proper đ!! đŞ)||, can easily hit the sword warriors... just aim, think and dodge better, literally! Find a teacher, senpai, Sensei, Sifu, direct commander or whatever and think creatively; there are so many ways to escape from & defeat a player with a Sword... c'mon.
I have given informative responses to people feeding back that the Sword is hard to counter and, in some particular aspects, maybe it is.. but it's also hard to master. High risk, high reward. For reference, here are my responses in order of most recent, in case you're interested:

Right now, with the dulling of the blade.. so did it dull my fun in the game as a Blademaster.
As many have already stated, the Sword is such a creative weapon choice in an arena-like shooter and the way it works in The Finals was perfect, but now it's just kinda shattered.. the damage as it was is needed to compensate for the risk the Sword user takes: you'll look danger straight in the eyes, knowing full-well you might turn into a tiny little statue with a majestic cloud o' gold. Let's not forget, the lunge (which was nerfed) has quite the wind-up time. Doing this mid-fight, unless properly calculated, can be fatal for yourself (and a little embarrassing.. đł especially when you miss the lunge and just awkwardly slide past the target đ).
Compare that to e.g Call of Duty, where there is a dual sword that literally one-shots anyone... and it's very possible people complained about that, but it's still in the game left unchanged damage-wise because, I'm guessing, the balancing was done elsewhere, where I feel like it should be here as well, instead of blatantly reducing values without anything else to keep the gameplay fun still. Please, reconsider this change!
Anyways.. I'm really, very, ultimately, extremely disappointed by this change and, unfortunately, it's reason enough for me to stop playing as frequently as I once did.
If this straight-up unnecessary & ruthless nerf is reverted & reconsidered through other means, then I'll hear it one way or another, but for now.. this Blademaster vanishes into the shadows. đŤď¸đśâđŤď¸đŤď¸ Good luck & have fun everybody!
ngl ive been maining dagger for the past like 2ish weeks and i dont understand why it would need a buff or a nerf...150 degree backstab angle is pretty good, and it really performs similarly to how it did before, because the weapon's effectiveness really depends on positioning
my only complaint is that ive missed a few stabs because the charging animation is a little silly...can we get maybe a little glint on the end of the dagger blade (like the bow) that shows when its fully charged, or let me tap right click to still do the attack ^_^

Can anyone explain me why this game balancing is always in favor of medium players? First there is model that is broken since s0 till s5 pretty much they nerf it just to bring another op shotgun cerberus that is the most op gun ever in the finals history only c4 stacked on top of barrel was more op then that .... Every season lights are getting nerfs even tho they are not strong but medium nah lets just keep them strong even tho they have already best guns out of all 3 classes while being the most usefull class on top of it, support class that have access to best weapons in game that can kill basically anything if played right with their hp pool. Light cant win 1v1 against medium unless they play wrong and miss few shots, same for heavy, there is no way to really compete in face to face encounter with that class, Support class should focus on support and not on being the best in every aspect of the game, light guns suck so hard bcs of how you pretty much nerfed every gun of that class every season why not doing that to mediums? start buffing heavy and light guns to make it shine somehow more then mediums, im tired of medium meta, even if thats the majority of community we need changes of meta cuz how long can someone play only one class in order to compete. Cerberus is way too op so nerf it to ground and keep in mind that there are other classes that need love. Stop hating lights so much, recent guns u added to this class are totally mid or even below that, while lights should have very high dps, its high risk high reward and now all that is left is high risk and barely any reward, main reward is movement and movement only and it doesnt let you win games. Mediums getting good guns every freaking season is another absurd. Famas top tier weapon, Cerberus ABOVE OP, pike another crazy good weapon till you nerfed it, like why not giving such a good weapons to class that actually should be able to do massive dmg?

Kyoto should be separated into two variants; a dry Kyoto and a lush Kyoto. Lush would have all the plants and water but dried up Kyoto would have no water and reduced amounts of vegetation and bamboo

First off, I really enjoy The Finals â itâs an awesome game and I especially love the amount of creativity and style youâve packed into it. The stickers are a great touch and really help personalize weapons in a fun way.
Iâd love to see the ability to place more stickers on weapons â right now it feels a bit limited. It would also be great if there were more customization options for how stickers are applied, giving players more creative control over their look.

The idea that my clan and I wanted to share with you is the following: What do you think of a game mode called "Roulette" In this mode the idea would be that at the beginning of the game in the "Fast Money" style you do not know which character you will play, just as you will not know what weapons or gadgets will be assigned to you, but rather it will be random, this to test the players how good strategists they can be by playing with everything at random. When you die and respawn, you will also appear with a different build and a random character. If it cannot be launched first as a game mode, it could be an attractive event to see how much fame it gets first and then become a game mode like the others. Come on THE FINALS team, you have a lot of juice to get out of this game! It is simply phenomenal!
Please, stop the nerfs already. Nerfs just take the fun out of the game. Sure, if something is too powerful, it should be nerfedâbut doing mindless nerfs like this doesnât help the game at all. It would be far better to buff other aspects to balance things out.
This latest nerf to the sword is the worst nerf in the gameâs history, and it was made just by listening to noobs. Ranged weapons are strong not only at range but also in close combat. Melee weapons, however, are supposed to be powerful up close because they carry the risk of engaging in close quarters. Some idiots just donât understand that a melee weapon should be countered before you even get in range. The swordâs 140 damage was carefully calculated, but because of whining from ânoobs who canât handle a sword,â itâs now become the worst weapon ever. MUST revert sword.
Also, the American server isnât as good as the Asian server, so we shouldnât be basing patch decisions on the opinions of North American players. Alternatively, you should strongly consider applying different patches for different servers.

Before I say what I want to say, I just want everyone to know I love this game:
I recently unlocked the Valkyria outfit. The outfit is great! However, the voice that came with it is extremely robotic and not pleasant. The way she says lines are extremely non human sounding and it sounds like the void. If the development team can please take a look at the voice of Valkyria, i would appreciate it.
Also, i have recently noticed that demolition causes unnecessary smoke which blinds the player from seeing the opponent and gives the opponent an unfair advantage. It has happened so many times with me when an enemy player has demolished something to get to me and in the process, they are there in front of me but i cant see them properly because the demolition caused so much smoke and they get an unfair advantage to land their first shots and eliminate me while i am still trying to search them properly to shoot them. I think this is a serious thing that development team needs to investigate and remove from the game.

Why 2v2 Deserves a Real Mode in The Finals (Not Just a Custom Room Afterthought)
Look, not everyone wants to go through the hassle of organizing custom lobbies just to enjoy a tight, duo-based match. Suggesting we âjust make a custom roomâ isnât a real solutionâitâs a workaround. You donât see people having to make custom matches for TDM or Quick Cash, right? Thatâs because modes with potential get official support.
2v2 has a ton of potential. Smaller team comps open up new layers of strategy, quicker engagements, and more intimate, high-stakes firefights. Not every player wants to wrangle 3 teammatesâor deal with randoms who donât communicate. 2v2 gives players tighter control, and for a game built on movement, chaos, and creativity, that sounds like a perfect fit.
Putting 2v2 in a real matchmaking playlist would give it exposure, data, and a player baseânot lock it away in some dusty custom room no oneâs using. Give us the option. Let the community decide if itâs worth keeping. Worst case? It doesnât work out. Best case? You open the door to a mode people didnât even know they needed.

There is another reload bug that i have encountered a couple times where my character will just keep trying to reload the gun even though its full, happened with a couple weapons although I'm not sure how to replicate it. if anyone else knows please write here.

Okay, idea for a new limited time game mode: Double or Nothing. Respawn times and cashout times are halved, cashouts give half as much money, every item with an item charge now has DOUBLE the amount of charges (jump pad now gets two used, goo grenade now gets 4), and TWO in-game events happen at the same time.
The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use
also can we get a eclipse shade revolver so we have one that doesnt clash so heavily with the dot sight?

the game had such a good foundation to build on but, idk how u make a competitive game, make it run like dogshit, give it shit visibility, introduce random bs like snipers in a game in whichs pacing it doesnt fit at all, give it dogshit sounds which cant be relied on and then you start talking about hosting a major for it and try to up the competitive scene? ffs + the game cannot be played solo unless u enjoy getting shit on every single match while ur teammates are complete dummies

PowerShift is just high rank players spawn camping farming kills instead of playing OBJ. How this can be fixed I donât know, but I love spending 10 minutes of my limited time on this earth just sitting at my spawn tapping my stick occasionally so I donât get kicked and my teammates have already left (although all of your teammates leaving the match with no penalty is basically just a core gameplay mechanic in any game mode at this point). Exciting gameplay

it wouldn't be like a standard special with a cooldown, but you can just infinitely walljump to make yourself harder to hit, traverse the land, etc.
