Since the game on console have the worst aim assist i dont know if there is aim assist or its just so weak can please just let us play with mouse and keyboard on console because there is really no chance to stand against diamonds players on ranked playing pc i have 1000h in the game and its just boring and no fun when a 100h on pc have better aim than you its not skill issue but controller cant control the recoil its just so bad

@warped axle Every game does crossover events now grow up. R6, Overwatch, Fortnite, SF6, PUBG ect. Hating fortnite is not a personality anymore bud. Doesn't even have to be other games or shows or whatever could be brands like how Overwatch and PUBG made cosmetics for super car companies. I wouldn't say it's a must pick anymore tbh. Sickness made it so there's actually a reason to not pick it. I prefer running motion sensors with a movement item and goo because goo is actually crazy helpful.

Defibs can be a major crutch for a lot of mediums. It's better not to use it usually. If you can get off a normal revive it's way better than a defib usually. It depends on what your team is running, of course.

Keep in mind this is not for ranked. Ranked is dumb and makes it so you can't swap out gear mid round, so defibs ARE a necessity there imo.

I don't understand the math in this game. How do I do over 10k in damage, but for a contract for the AKM, I only get 2.5k towards the contract. Embark Please explain.....

Since the latest patch i'd assume the "Dialogue volume" setting under "Audio" is not working as expected.
It seems like however i change it, my character will be groaning and all that, pretty much shouting on full voice, even though this setting is set to 0. I do hope a fix will be made for this, i hate to hear my character talking the whole game.

I’m not sure how difficult it would be to implement this, but I wish the feedback section was a bit more specific. Like it would be cool to see that the person complaining about turret being OP mostly plays Powershift, or that the medium complaining about lights being too strong is silver in ranked. Everyone should have a voice in what they think should be fixed, but I do think it’s important to recognize where that recommendation is coming from.

Remove the glitch mine. If youre gonna keep fucking light in the ass with cerb buff, stun gun, winch, pike 3 tap, you NEED TO GIVE US SOMETHING. Light depends on ultility FAR more than any other class, glitch mines just create a zone of death where we cant use hit and run tactics. We just round the corner, expecting to be able to dash away in a moment, only to get glitched and die instantly.

Also, stop listening to the loud minority. I am SO TIRED of low level players who cant aim worth a damn complaining about light, while light gets routinely eviserated in high ELO, then you nerf it, and now I struggle to stay in diamond because you just straight up REMOVED AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CLASS.

Why would you remove it for a month?!??! Just rework it and release an updated version in season 6, you just royally fucked people whose playstyle uses stun gun with NO REPLACEMENT. Now I just dont play ranked because I know im going to get dominated because you CRIPPLED MY CLASS.

Put it back. Let them bitch until you release an updated version in S6, not like you fucking removed model when it was the most broken thing in the game for 2 whole months

the amount of “no reg” on bullets im getting is out of hand. i have good internet but it still happens almost every fight. this is the best fps i know and i don’t want to leave but i don’t know how much longer i can put up with this. and the audio is absolutely abysmal. the sound design is great but there is no point in it if i cant hear anything behind me, EVER. a light, a medium or a heavy have ran up to me from behind so many times and there wasn’t a single little noise to give me at least the SLIGHTEST chance.   • What happened to Defib? In stead of doing something about triple Medium all it did was made it useless. For Example: a teammate gets defibbed and all he can do is tank a whole enemy team while trying to reload as you can't even escape. What shouldve been done is make it a team-wide CD so it can't be used more than once every 30 SEC by a whole team.
  • Fix the matchmaking. I get matched with ruby and full diamond stack while being 32k platinum player. (As a 3rd or 4th seed thats crazy work, they are basically TOP 500 n you guys excpect us to go up against them? Every team just avoids them... it is just easy climbing for them and hard climbing for platinum players.)
  • Fix the teammate matchmaking system!!! Almost every game I am getting matched with a players who have 1 kill 7 deaths on 1.3k Damage. The whole point of this game is to play together AS A TEAM. But no matter when i Queue. MY TEAMMATES WONT PLAY TOGETHER!!
  • Fix the map rotation. I don't know how you guys have this system working but please fix it or rework it. It is not hard at all just put all the maps as a percentage what you can get??? I am tired of getting Sys Horizon and Seoul THE WHOLE time and i LEGIT mean the whole time... ( We played a whole night didn't get Bernal ONCE but we got like Seoul fucking 3 times in a row and then Sys Horizon 3 times in a row???? how is this even possible) Bernal I've played like 4 or 5 times maybe this WHOLE SEASON up until now.
  • Nerf sword - i don't even feel like it belongs in the finals (a FPS) but right now it just is too strong. People who say add a third melee attack are crazy... I legit have a clip of ONE light sword players who catches us in the backline and kills 3 people with two dashes its crazy as no other weapon can do that.
  • Remove third season plug cash bonus and switch it with 1/3rd of the cash giving to the team that has it every 1/3d of the time on a cashout. Solves your third partying and doubling aswell.

Biggest feedback for me: Please prioritize solo's playing against other solo's. Any gamemode, seeing a stacked team against solo's is so disheartening

M60 and Lewis are just better akm/fcar. Shak is heavy's lite-version of the V9S, akimbo are a hybrid pike/revolver mashup, and all of them are better than the medium's versions as long as you land your shots (which is easier for heavy thanks to lower recoil).

Medium's weapons (excluding shotguns of couse) have some of the longest ttks of any class' full/semi auto guns in the game.
They also have the worst kill per mag to reload time "please kill me while defenseless" ratios to boot.

Definitely embark does not know how to make a competitive game and lately has done nothing but make bad decisions, the adjustments and balances they make are really stupid, it is a shame because they created a great game which will definitely die since they did not know how to keep it alive

what happened to the respawn time in RANKED ? Why now people have 5 seconds to respawn?
Also since the last update, it seems like we always have to defend against two teams, somehow they both spawn very close to the cashout we are defending, it makes the game very hard and honestly VERY FRUSTRATING

specify how world tour rewards work for new players, i just went searching for like 30 mins just to find out whether the multibucks stack or if its the total you get (from what i found its the total so you only get the 250 from diamond 1 and not the rewards from the other ranks)

or just make it say "+50 (50 total) | +50 (100 total)" or something like that

after analyzing 50 matches and the server IP I was being connected to I have come to the conclusion the "Region" selection is simply a placebo. Out of 50 matches. I was outside of NA for 3/4 of my matches. The countries the servers were in were Australia, India, Argentina, Portugal, China, Netherlands, Poland, UK and some others.

This is why the games feel inconsistent. You will have one game in a city a few states over at 15-20 ping and then the next game is on the other side of the globe at 150+ ping. This is unacceptable.

Start up your game and open resource monitor

In resource monitor go to the Network tab at the top and expand the Network Activity section.

Sort the view my image name and look for "discovery.exe"

You will see one IP with most of the network activity. This is your Authentication server. I know this because I blocked the two I connect to with windows firewall and it stopped my game from connecting.

Start searching for a match and after the match connects there will be another IP that gets similar network activity.

Use an IP location service like https://www.iplocation.net/ and you can see where the IP is originating from.

To see your ping you can simply open command prompt and type the following "tracert whatevertheipis" for example "tracert 111.143.139.34" Most of the servers block direct ping however the trace will at lest get you to the hop in the corresponding country so you can both verify the location and see the relative latency

It is a great take, yesterday somebody said it was one of the best ideas in a while. If you control the cash 75% of the whole time you deserve to get cash for control time, this would make that the teams would actually would BE FIGHTING FOR CONTROLLING THE CASHOUTAnd not just wait and see where are they fighting, where can we go 3rd party. Wait the fight out, if two are dead from one team go in. fight the team that controls the cash out and steal on the last second. Every time we LOSE because we wipe one team. They comeback, fight us again, we kill two and the other team comes in and suddenly fights us, while the 4th team is getting free cash out because high elo?????

AND Let me cook it fits the final theme much more. You 'hack' the cash out and with the control time you decrypt cashout from the machine.

Just thought of an interesting gamemode. A 5v5 or more push and pull style. Where the cash out starts in the middle of the map and if one team wins the cash out they go to the next section of the map.

Inspired by a recent yt vid by Gaming Craftsman, since CNS can do all kinds of magic with time and space, maybe a "back to the future" season 1 limited-time mode. All the original settings from when the game first dropped. Probably a horrendous idea, but might be fun for a week or two.

I've already asked for the UI to be reverted back from the last hotfix but also the change to vault spawn and cash out pop ups when U respawn They are way too intrusive for me. They linger for way too long now and it gets in the way when I'm fighting and the initial pop up seems bigger as well

I'm only posting in this channel because I hope to god someone sees this and can pass it on to the devs. I'm saddened that we never got to see a sequel to the most innovative, prophetic, and misunderstood game these devs ever released.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

I've proposed this at several points, and I've been playing since launch. If they ever include a wallride for lights or mediums, like in jetsetradiofuture, they should model a map and a mode around the Aggro crag https://guts.fandom.com/wiki/The_Crag From nickelodeon's guts, perhaps with conceptual elements of the https://airgear.fandom.com/wiki/Gram_Scale_Tournament from Air gear. Essentially a central obstacle course, with easier paths up the destructible mountain for each class's movement type, and a variety of cashout points and vault locations scattered among all manner of traps. A map with a central tower/mountain/pyramid structure would also be quite distinct from the maps we have had thusfar.
A game mode that's about racing up a giant destructible, obstacle covered mountain-skyscraper chasing flying Vaults/hunting hidden vaults/knocking the coins out of each other and depositing them in ADMs that unlock further and further up the peak. the aforementioned guts and air gear mixed with elements of Ninja Warrior, MXC, or harry potter's Golden snitch.
Maybe even have new terrain extrude up like a push pop at halftime, and clear away old terrain to save resources, similar to how the platform in powershift clears debris it passes through? Or like a structure that destroys terrain in front of it, and assembles terrain in pristine state behind it?

"Keep your distance". Yeah in a fucking game thats at least 60% close querters? Plus most light weapons arent effective at 20+ meters so we HAVE to get close and get MELTED. No way to dodge, just instant death.

@slate vessel Im assuming you dont play light dash, but you cant use dash while in the winching animation. If you do happen to have all 3 dash charges you MIGHT get away, but youve been winched into possibly 3 enemies, odds arent in your favor, especially if theyre running shotgun not melee. Plus the other two specs are just fucked then? You cant have a spec that counters an ENTIRE CLASS

I had an earlier take were I suggested to increase all health bars by 50. this way the percentages will become closer: instead of having Heavy HPs = 2.33 * Light HPs and Medium HPs = 1.67 * Light HPs, they would become H = 2 L and M = 1.5 L. this would also lead to a massive rebalancing, but would be easier.

Dropping to 1 frag is not it. Grenades are meant to soften and split off enemies, maybe get a stray kill if they are low enough. Buff back to 2 but keep damage lower.
Also, on PS5, using the emote wheel, there’s now a delay before bringing up the wheel, don’t know if that is a bug coz I didn’t see in patch notes. It’s a really small thing, but if playing on controller is a massive problem because it takes your thumb off movement to hold down so you can say Hi or Hype.
Also, put Hype back on the main comms wheel, it’s the only way to positively celebrate good plays in your team, why is it buried when there are loads of comms options that don’t get used that all mean the same thing.

Dash+Sword is the most stupid thing i have seen in a game, after hook+Sh1900. This way lights play more kamikaze style than hit and run. At least avoid dash to overstep your hitbox. Another thing is if you touch an invisible player with your body you should be able to see him. This is a futuristic game, where are homing missiles, lasers, drones, plasma guns, gauss cannons, tesla rifles?

Give breach charge and C4 charges separate detonations. So if I place 3 breach charges, the first one placed explodes first with a single click without exploding the rest. And if you wanna explode them all at the same time you just hold it or spam click detonate. I think this would be a nice change of QoL. What do you guys think?

  1. Can we get rid of the idiotic "spawn protection" after a revive? It would prevent the ongoing revive trains that are still very prevalent in every match. Also if a heavy with a flamethrower is being revived inside a room you're almost guaranteed dead if you've taken some damage already, all while you can't damage the heavy that's setting you on fire. This is by far my biggest issue with the game right now.
  2. Please consider nerfing the Cerberus damage back to where it was (or even lower). With the fire damage it does after a hit it can pretty much one shot lights and 2 shot mediums.
  3. Consider reverting the FCAR recoil to where it was in Season 1. The damage nerf it has received is more than enough to balance it out, even if it has somewhat manageable recoil.
  4. Consider increasing the AKM magazine size back to 36, the medium weapons nowadays feel like you need to hit every shot to even be able to kill a single heavy in 1 mag.
  5. Change charge and slam in a way that the damage is directly comparable to the speed you're walking at. I've still encountered multiple times where a heavy just starts their ability and insta kills me while not moving at all.
  6. I have no suggestions how, but consider nerfing the sword a bit. If a light is somewhat cracked out with the sword they're borderline unhittable, all while dealing insane damage.

Generic request/feedback: please stop trying to make all the niche weapons competitive with the "regular" weapons.

I’d add that riot shield needs some love, maybe just a tad more range/wider sweep on the attack or the ability to keep sprinting while attacking.

Really good point on dash, it’s so insanely strong (and fun to use) in lower level lobbies, but the value quickly falls off against higher ranked opponents who have better aim/tracking. Not sure what they would do to fix this aspect without a complete overhaul / spec change.

Your game struggles for players despite having many brilliant aspects because so much of its core design is antagonistic to player experience.

Your servers/stability/tickrate/etc are horrible because your destruction system is simply too taxing.

Directional audio is appalling & general movement & gamefeel is terribly janky. Even your menus have an irresponsive feel to them.

Your game presents itself as fun/fast-paced/arcadey & thus attractive to casuals, yet your gamemodes are deceptively complex & brutally punishing.

Your default quickplay mode, which should provide the most casual experience of all, has the potential to penalise each & every death with a TWENTY EIGHT SECOND respawn delay, with health regen extending up to 18s as well as being delayed a further 10s if even a single instance of damage is taken.

Returning to combat can regularly take over 30s, especially for new players unfamiliar with the giant maps & not utilising the few traversal gadgets.

Your ability/gadget design can be sorely lacking, inducing frustration & intense feelings of unfairness. Things like Recon Senses/Nukes ever existing is a major red flag regarding your understanding of these things. Bad balance is especially excruciating in this game due to the immense downtime.

You still observably flounder with core pillars of the game. To this day you struggle to resolve the issues plaguing your core game mode. You replace the ranked gamemode on a whim one season because of this, to disastrous results. You let fun-crippling gadgets like Stun Gun exist for 14 months before suddenly removing it because you have only now deemed it a detriment to player retention. You state RPG was never meant as a fight initiator yet let it exist as such for 10 months.

All of this negatively impacts players from the moment they first play until the moment they ultimately quit.

There should be a new game mode that capitalizes on the speed and whimsy of the game! I say it should be based off the game of my youth, Polish Mustard Tag, where the game is entirely focused on movement and tagging the enemies! Similar to how it was played in the gymnaisum there would be an assortment of weapons and rifles used to "tag" enemy players with Mustard Balls based on the classic game where balls of ground up mustard seeds and toss them into the eyes of their classmates. I believe this mode could breathe life into a game and make it more popular to the general population

Complaining about recon senses and nukes when they've been gone since season 1 is kind of wild tbh. The stun-gun has honestly been fine since it was nerfed into the ground. I think they removed it primarily to just rework the thing because it really only has one major use atm.

The real things pushing new players away is the anti-social nature of this game. The social features barely work, you can't queue up with others easily after a match, console players can't see text chat, most of the ping wheel is kind of useless (no "thank you", or "I'm sorry"), the recent players section is a mess of names that I can't even tell when I met them, club text chat has no time stamps, getting VRs takes FOREVER, ranked and WT are split so sweaty players HAVE to go into casual queues to get all the rewards they desire that season, and so much more tbh.

There's a ton of issues that drive away new and old players with this game. I don't think most of them are gameplay related tbh. Just because the game isn't as fast paced, hectic, etc, as other games doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Games made for everyone tend to fail, and I think the game is slowly losing its identity as they push these faster paced game modes a bit too much. TDM clearly wasn't well implemented either, which is the weirdest thing.

Your reading comprehension is lacking. Nukes/Recon were so terribly designed that they demonstrate how Embark’s poor understanding of game balance has been a consistent issue from release until today.

Stun Gun was never “nerfed into the ground.” It was still very strong & had multiple, unintended uses, as Embark themselves asserted. It was removed because it was so frustrating for new players to face that it was negatively affecting player retention.

Poor social features are another fault with the game but far from something that pushes the majority that leave away. People don’t have a fun in-game experience, struggle to add their teammates & then rage delete the game. They delete the game because of bad in-game experiences.

The game really gets less fun after every update. You shoot at a light from 50 meters away with an AKM and get lasered away with an M11. You buy a skin for a grenade, for example, and a week later you can forget about it because it's down to 1 and the damage is nerfed. I've put a lot of money into The Finals over time, but I won't do that anymore. The game gets worse from season to season, sorry. Just delete Embug Heavy and Medium, then everyone can play light. I'll give the game a year, then it'll be dead, or only hardcore junkies who just can't get away from the game will play it.

Best take ive ever read in this feedback section. Bravo, cannot agree enough. Ive been playing fps titles at a competitve level for almost 10 years now. This is probably the worst balanced fps ive ever played. It has numerous fundamental design issues as you pointed out and it plagues the game with extreme frustation and a brutally punishing experience for new players. People are quick to point fingers like "Light op nerf it" or "nerf medium again!" but these problems are deeper routed within the game's foundational design.

The casual mode is awful, the 30 second timers in a "for fun mode" makes it feel pointless, if im going to be punished at that level id rather just go play ranked. I want to like this game so badly, but ive honestly never loved and hated a game so much at the same time. When I play the finals I get more mad than I do in any other fps, I've never considered uninstalling a game out of frustration like this before. On the other end when its fun its more fun than any ive ever played. If they could just iron out the frustrating parts of the game without losing the game's core identity and what makes it unique it would be an fps powerhouse.

Recently I have experienced games in which my ranked teammate leave the game causing me to lose rank. I don’t think it’s fair for a player to lose so much rank just because they’re 1st seed and have incompetent teammates who aren’t able to stay in the match. Im so done with this game. Everything is about killing light. Ohhhh nooo lights are too OP wahhh. Bullshit. Cerb 2 shots. SHAK 5 shots with a TK of 0.57 SECONDS. Akimbo 4 taps. Winch royally fucks any light with almost any weapons, especially SHAK, melee, and SA. Most any medium gun melts lights, not to mention invis is almost useless these days with everyone running prox sens or mine and SPAMMING it. PLUS we get fucked by glitch mines. Now without stun gun were even MORE vulnerable, and you just expect us to roll over and deal with it? Light isnt even in the MMH, MMM or HHM meta that persists in high ranking and you INSIST ON FUCKING US.

Stop listening to low level players that couldnt hit water in the ocean. They need to learn the damn game not be catered to like babies. You think stun gun isnt fair? How do you think lights feel about winch, or turret, or demat removing our cover that we heavily rely on?

hey Embark just wanted to say your in game soundtracks are amazing literally always 10/10. I listen to them when playing other games 😂 it's just so good. Anyway it'd be really cool if the jukebox was a true jukebox and we could listen in game. Even an actual jukebox mode in the main menu where it's an actual jukebox on full screen that you can go through the songs and it switches a vinyl. That'd be incredible with this games graphics!

I'm sure the team would love to be able to do this but they are not given the time or priority by leadership. this is a top down failure that the whole industry seems to subscribe to.

have these guys hit at least plat before they go pulling levers based on spreadsheets. give them a proper work-life balance and some breaks so they are still excited about the game. our perspective of the game, while getting closer, is not aligned with the developers. I'm sure they do the best they can (and more) but consider if your process and environment are helping you reach the end goal. Lead with fun

I think there is a memory leak when destruction happens because I was dropping into the 25s from 110. Thing is that it isn't that it just dropped into the 20s for 2 seconds, it stayed there for an entire cashout and I simply couldn't fight. My two cents about 5.10

Pretty sure the stun gun was never intended to be something to use to track a prey, but rather some kind of "oh shit" button. The lights last, and sometimes only, line of defense.

Greatly increasing stun gun's cool down, and reducing its range would probably have been more than enough to, first, reduce the amount of players getting stunned/game, but also limit its offensive capabilities while preserving the defensive ones.

Removing it killed my cqc playstyle as Im left with no options to deal with certain situations, and no counterplay against a certain amount of builds/loadouts that the stun gun was the counterplay of.

Hopefully you can cook something good although I dont see what there is to cook differently here. In the end the stun gun either has to stun people or get a new name.

I actually kinda dig where the game is at balance wise rn. Snipers are a little annoying but they're countered pretty easy, I'm not seeing anything else really dominate the meta otherwise. If I die it's usally because my positioning or aim was off, which is great. And I also don't feel pushed to use any weapon gadget or spec, which is oddly a unique experience in a multiplayer game for me.

Season 2 ranking was peak. IDK who ever thought of changing that system but it's so demotivating and randomness took over skill/team fights.
Getting to Diamond/Ruby these days is just playing as much games as possible hoping you'll get a few lucky games consecutively till you make it

As a melee-only player, I genuinely hope the Stun Gun gets the Recon Treatment and never returns.

I originally left in late Season 4 and only came back this patch because its removal was one of the best changes The Finals could have made.

The Stun Gun is outright unfair to fight against as a melee player. It has no real counterplay in close combat—unless I burn two Goo Grenades, I'm basically dead. A 17-second cooldown is a joke when it’s a death sentence for melee users. It completely shuts down dagger players, making it feel frustrating and unbalanced rather than an actual skill-based encounter. The pure amount of rage I got filled with by seeing people hold onto their shitty zapper and using it like a primary is insane

Its removal makes the game much more enjoyable and fair, especially for new players trying to get into the game.

A small controller/key mapping settings request:

in certain controller binding presets (eg. “Modifier Button Equipping” vs “Directional Equipping”) certain actions are linked to one another,

Eg. “Communication Wheel or Inspect (Double Tap)”

I would love for the option to link these actions together on different Controller “Preset”’s

I guess my main issue is When I switch from “directional equipping” to “modifier button equipping” the double tap to inspect your weapon linked to the communication wheel is no longer an option.

I loved having the ability to open up the communication wheel and also inspect my weapon via double tap using the same input, but now I play on modifier button equipping so I can’t do that anymore.

Maybe you could add some options to link these actions together or disable them under the keybinds section rather than them being locked to certain presets?

For many specs/gadgets that are set down, they are just tablets. It really isn’t important at all so please only work on this in the background, but I still think it’s worth mentioning because a) it’s fun, but also b) brings new cosmetic opportunities (which also means more income opportunity). For example, throwing down a jump pad/turret/zipline (etc etc etc…) would just look like throwing down a mine, but obviously still having the highlighted outline of where it’ll fall. As for more cosmetically-oriented ones, dematerializer and data reshaper could look like “guns” (something like heal beam or goo gun).

Ranked is just one big third-party fest the randomness is insane.
We wipe a team, a third one comes and picks up the kills and cashout and repeat and repeat and repeat i can't anymore.
Winning team fights and skill mean nothing anymore since the plug and cash i'm about to uninstall again.

Cloak, on the other hand, is what truly deserves that criticism. It functionally does literally nothing other than making you MARGINALLY harder to see, which 99% of the time makes it only useful for noobs fighting noobs.

while you are right it has other uses, those uses arent big enough to make up for the weakness of having 150 HP. As seen by the fact evasive dash is seen as a joke by high elo.

this is also seen heavily by the casual community. Every single light weapon that only synergizes with dash is complained about by casuals. m11, DB, dagger, tks, sword are all endlessly complained about by casual players, even though these weapons are mid at best besides the DB. It's extremely obvious that the low skill floor of dash combined with its subjective value in combat is a major issue in balancing between casual and competitve.

Okay, we're roughly on the same page then. I think Dash is the most consistently impactful of the 3 specializations Light has, but it doesn't make Light good outside of average ELO.

I would ask to buff Light in general -- especially in ways that increase their impact at their skill ceiling -- instead of just buffing one of their three specializations, though. Buffing all three specializations is fine by me, even.

OK, I was not here for the dash light conversation, but my opinion on this as somebody who mains dash light is this: dash is in a pretty good spot, my only criticism is when compared to something like grapple, grapple seems to be slightly less of a viable option. And I don’t mean to say grapple is bad because that’s not the case but I do mean to say the fact that you have three charges and relatively the same cool down is slightly too overpowered. And also dash light is great In high elo if used for cover to cover quick peeks and repositioning to off angles. I think the cool down in between dashes regenerating should be a slight bit longer like maybe a second or two longer.
Edit: I really don’t think it needs to be a harsh cool down Nerf either like a really small nerf is perfect.
I think if Dash doesn’t get nerfed then I think the devs should buff grapple. Both of those specializations are in a pretty good spot. But a cool down Nerf would require players to be more aware of their dashes, while keeping the gameplay enjoyable.
Taking away a dash would be too excessive in my opinion, but adding cool down seems like the most viable way to nerf Dash.

I had a couple games where me and my teammate could see the other players trail throughout the whole match. It was like a constant map wide sonar. And judging from some of the kills they got, i assume other players also had same vision. Is this a game mode or a bug?

I've proposed this at several points, and I've been playing since launch. If they ever include a wallride for lights or mediums, like in jetsetradiofuture, they should model a map and a mode around the Aggro crag https://guts.fandom.com/wiki/The_Crag From nickelodeon's guts, perhaps with conceptual elements of the https://airgear.fandom.com/wiki/Gram_Scale_Tournament from Air gear. Essentially a central obstacle course, with easier paths up the destructible mountain for each class's movement type, and a variety of cashout points and vault locations scattered among all manner of traps. A map with a central tower/mountain/pyramid structure would also be quite distinct from the maps we have had thusfar.
A game mode that's about racing up a giant destructible, obstacle covered mountain-skyscraper chasing flying Vaults/hunting hidden vaults/knocking the coins out of each other and depositing them in ADMs that unlock further and further up the peak. the aforementioned guts and air gear mixed with elements of Ninja Warrior, MXC, or harry potter's Golden snitch.
Maybe even have new terrain extrude up like a push pop at halftime, and clear away old terrain to save resources, similar to how the platform in powershift clears debris it passes through? Or like a moving structure/platform that destroys terrain in front of it, and assembles terrain in pristine state behind it, maybe code it to flee from player activity or teleport?

There should be a "region selection" where you want to play, and a "region preferred" where you're actually in.

lets say you live in South America, where you can't find Ranked or World tour matches because servers are "empty"(not really for Quick cash) and players don't even try to search ranked or WT in South america anymore.

So we should have "selected region: North america" and another option like "Preferred region: South America" so players in South America who search WT/ranked in NA servers are put in a pool where players located in SA servers searching matches in NA servers are put together into SA servers instead(because that was their declared preferred region).

This should help filtering players who can't find matches in their region and allows a "double region matchmaking" kind of system.

Please change the HUD for the equipment wheel in the controller bindings preset back to its previous version (similar to the HUD for equipment cycling). 3v3v3 casual gamemode that works like shine thief from Mario Kart 8. Basically, to open the cashbox you have to hold it. Each team has their own timer (so if team A held the box for 18 seconds, team B still needs it for the full 30 seconds regardless). After the box is opened, 10k is automatically deposited into the account of the team. The first team to reach 30k wins. To balance weight classes while holding the box everyone is medium speed.
While I can’t confidently say it’s balanced, it would be an absolute joy to try as a casual gamemode.

When adjusting the live scoreboard in S6, maybe make it so that you can't see who is alive from which team on the scoreboard, but add a visual indicator to the "death statues" that shows you how many teammates are still alive. This is info you can get from actual gameplay instead of other teams watching the scoreboard from across the map waiting on the perfect moment to 3th party

The Games graphics and details are crazy good for a FPS game, this would be great if it had a photo mode that you can use if replaying a previous match or something. Make it happen! I love the art direction of this game with the minimalism and vibrant designs and photo mode would just make sense for a game like this and might be a first for any FPS game (might be wrong idk). Photo mode can be as intricate as spiderman 2 with custom lighting, props, etc. but the type of content we’d be making would be unmatched imo.. definitely something worth exploring Embark

Update after patch 5.10 :
Congrats Embark, instead of a rework, you just remove one of the lastest teamplay move a stun can do, cancel a steal, by removing the stun gun.
They will be still Light player and people complain about them for everything and nothing. But they will lose even more.

For the game

  • Add step in the reload animation or erase the cancel reload when you climb on something during a reload.
  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. In this condition, playing Light it's like playing a H but with 150HP. Servers can't register your movements !
  • Perma ban toxic players and cheaters
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends please
  • Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
  • Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
  • Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now
  • Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
  • Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match
  • Let us use our VR for XP weapons or other things (not from me but very interresting idea !)

** For balance **

  • Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
  • The Sword buff was not necessary in 5.8
  • The FAMAS nerf is useless in 5.8
  • The CERBERUS buff was to strong in 5.8
  • Nerf PIKE to 49 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
  • Buff Light survability or DPS. Light should be the DPS class but the game is always around Medium and Heavy class
  • Nerf a bit Deagle damage or range
  • Buff XP54 damage to 18
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
  • Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charged
  • Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked
  • Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for killing you. But after get wipe by them, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
    - No more dmg on hook. It's nonsense. If hook do damage, stun gun should do too ! They both stun you ! No more stun gun so now you can remove hook too. It's unfair, free kill, stun you.

Playing Light in your game is not fun at all. It's not balanced. Charge, RPG, Frag grenade, Cerberus, Magnum, everything got faster TTK than anyway weapons of Light. Except SH who need to be a 3m or less WITH 150HP class

First, thank for reading. I appreciate your return. You made some good points, and I think we would overall agree that the stun gun was too menacing, too efficient, and "risk free" on an offensive use. Since the release, it was allowed to become a very comfortable opening move through the course of the balancing patches. Which allowed the item to behave in unwanted manners and to go beyond its initial design: being a defensive weapon. Players should not have to worry about being on the receiving end of a stun gun unless they are the attacker.

I also found, reading some stun gun related feedback, that at least some of the frustration people expressed must come, not from the stun gun itself, but rather from the feeling of being punished three times (being attacked + stun + death) for an action they had not the initiative of. I read a lot of "I was there minding my own business and got stunned to death" and close to zero "I got too close to the sun and got burnt". Pun intended. So in the first case, I would agree with Embark: the stun gun is overly punishing. While the second case feels to me more like an affair of skill issue. Light might be the most vulnerable class to melee, or at least the one to dies the fastest to melee. It seems reasonable to me for them to have something to help them defend themselves in that domain.

Anyway, this is becoming quite long. So i'll finish quickly adding that stun gun vs melee balancing must be a very fine line to walk. I understand your frustration as it can completely deny your playstyle. But at the same time, in my playstyle (non melee CQC), its a really important piece of my defense, and sometimes its the only thing I can do in certain situations or facing certain loadouts.

Plug cash should be removed and switched with 33% of the cash going to the team holding the cashout every 1/3d of the time. If this was the meta I'd have been top 50 by now.
Plug bonus was added in season 3 to counter third partying but it's never been this bad with the third partying and we ended up with lights stealing the box and going for the plug bonus with their dash/grappling/portal and leaving their team to lose team fights resulting in a loss for both parties involved..
It's become a game of run and plug. Luck > Skill. With S3 becoming the downfall of nearly all skill involvement in this game.
It would also counter doubling as it happens so much by first teams just to control who they want to go second (aka to go through the next round) causing 1 team to control the whole game by teaming with others which i thought was against the rules.
And most of the time that first team is a full 3-stack ruby that no ones dare to engage with this messed up matchmaking.

EVERY game i have the most kills and damage, and EVERY game it's third parties and plug bonuses that make me lose more then i gain.
Season 2 ranking was peak. IDK who ever thought of changing that system but it's so demotivating and randomness took over skill/team fights.
Getting to Diamond/Ruby these days is just playing as much games as possible hoping you'll get a few lucky games consecutively till you make it

What might help for balancing light is to push the class to be more of an "assault" or "initiator" role. Balancing it as a raw dps would be very difficult but if we enable it to fill a role outside of dps it will help alot.

Right now medium and heavy both excel at defending areas and have plenty of defensive/ support utility. The game doesn't really have a good amount of offensive tools to push through this.

If light was replaced to fill that role then teams that want to be more offensively oriented could build around light and teams that want to start cashouts and bunker down would opt not to take light.

We could do this by adjusting lights gadgets and specializations to be more offensively oriented. For example:

*glitch grenade : now deals damage to placed defensive gadgets in addition to temporarily disabling them. 1 glitch grenade breaks mines, 2 breaks turrets.

*gravity vortex : now detonates immediately on impact. Duration is half of current, pull strength is increased.

*stun gun : now slows instead of paralyzing. Interrupts interactions such as stealing a cashout. Applies glitching effect preventing gadget / specialization use.

In my opinion the most infuriating part of the stun gun is that it completely removed your ability to move. In an fps with as much movement as the finals this frankly feels awful. Just change it to a slow and it's immediately less frustrating to fight while still keeping its playmaker opportunities alive.

A new team oriented specialization for light would be amazing. One which doesn't sacrifice on lights core identity of mobility preferably. Here's my concept for one

A lot of things in The Finals don't make any sense. Take for example the dual swords for medium, the have a better blocking ability than the riot shield does! It's just a video game and we shouldn't be so critical of it. However, when I say "Just a video game and we shouldn't be so critical of it" I'm basically saying do you want every game you play to always be realistic? I mean really there is no fall damage, it takes a lot of bullets (in the head!) to kill a heavy character despite the fact that they are wearing no armor, you can get crushed by a whole building yet still live on, the list would just keep going on. Yet you think you shouldn't be able to gain momentum in an unrealistic gravity vortex.

The jab cancel animation for the shotguns feel awful in a very specific way that I do not think many people have pointed out. I understand the 5.8 change was done to make them seem more realistic, however the opposite was done ironically. The reason why jab cancel didn't seem like a glitch before was because the hand "caulking the gun" was out of view after jabbing, and the 'caulking' sound could still be heard. It still made sense visually to the player despite the logic of it. However now, the gun can infinitely pump out empty shells and be 'caulked' if you didn't let the final 0.0005 second of the animation to play out. This ironically causes the gun to seem far more unrealistic than before and feel unresponsive.

There's three ways to fix this;

Break the 'caulking' animation down to several parts: pull back, eject, caulk, and the rest can be a window for a jab and be cancelled (a fairly small window). This allows players spamming jab to go through the different parts of the 'caulking' animation without repeating certain animations that do not make sense visually.

Another way, which I would much prefer if you wish for the guns to not be too strong with jab cancelling, is to start the 'caulking' animation after jabbing, but after the jab animation, the rest of the 'caulking' animation play out. This is very difficult to make look good and may require changes to the jab animations itself as well. However, it is a good solution if you want to ensure that the shoot jab shoot combos aren't so strong.

Last solution, is to just revert it back to before 5.8. I beg you embark please I love The Finals and I don't want to quit over such a tiny change I can't beat cerberus or even ARs now in face to face combat it just feels so pointless to use my favourite guns in the game please 😭

I think cosmetic layering would be nice. I signed on for Enigmo last season so I could get the mask but then realized that the mask doesn't work with most of the other cosmetics. Things like the hoodies would look really cool with the mask but you try and wear both and you lose one. Also things like the valentines day head antennae things don't work with the Enigmo mask despite them working with the Vaiiya mask, it feels inconsistent, maybe it's just me but it'd be cool to see a little more cosmetic versatility.

I have a couple of new ideas: Increasing the recoil rate on all of light’s weapons, but include something like “sharpshooter” as a passive specialization. It would dramatically improve your accuracy and basically be tuned to what the weapon recoil rates are currently. It would also slow them down a bit when aiming down sights. The other idea: allow us to control what direction we swing the light’s sword. Maybe you could ready the weapon with the same arm you’re leading your body with. Kind of an odd concept to communicate. But it would be cool if the secondary charge move was moved to “primary fire (hold)”…reduce the damage a bit, and use the secondary as a “parry” type move. You could deflect other melee shots, maybe pushing the opponent back or in a direction. Perhaps it could deflect projectiles too? And lemme get some badass ninja sword spinning animations in the store

notice how stun gets vaulted because its "free kill" and not "crowd control" but all the cheese melee's come out, cant play a game without running into dual sword, spear, sledge, or sword. its an aids way to play and WAY more annoying because there is ZERO counters, espeically with how most cashouts are indoors close quarters. Stun was in a good place, nerfed to hell but you used it to deter or try to counter Melee builds so that they didnt just run rampant with 0 need for aim or skill. no better way to kill a game than to have new players come in and get repeatedly 1 shotted by people that dont even have to aim... good job tho

In the AMA there was a question about heavy melee weapon viability.

Sledge and spear are really weak and mostly seen as throw picks in high elo because you can’t close the distance anymore since all the nerfs on sledge range and winch range.

Please revert the winch nerf or buff the sledge range slightly or add a multi-hit on both attacks.

Right now these weapons are too weak to play in diamond+ lobbies sadly.

Someone, ANYONE, please explain to me why its fair that heavy can reliably take 100 health in the first instant of a fight with rocket launcher? I'd LOVE to know. Just turns lights into 50 health ez kills, takes barely any time to pull out, and projectile moves way too fast to dodge.

Suddenly those already absurd TTK numbers like 0.57 for SHAK become 0.2 or 0.3, two taps, maybe even one taps. Heavies already have high health, tons of defense gadgets, and yet they ALSO get a fight opener that can almost one tap a whole class?

I know you dont want to touch rocket launcher cuz you'll anger all the already OP heavy mains, and I would have been content, not happy but content. But then you go and REMOVE STUN GUN, which is the class equivalent since its essentially run by every light. How will we escape? How will we survive?

We don't. Stop catering towards the loud minority of players who would rather complain online than take the time to develop skill and strategy.

definitely buff the 1877 its alot more of a high risk high reward weapon than the cerb due to the slower firerate and reload. buff the 1877 hs damage allowing for it to consistently do 150 damage in cqc combat in a headshot, currently missing a shot with it means you die but with this change it doesnt matter if you miss an initial shot a well placed follow up shot could get enough damage in to allow for your teammates to finish up the kill, making the 1877 require good communication and positioning for it be effective, then give it a slower firerate and it would be very balanced

Just wondering if we will see any support before season 6 drops? I am guessing not with the state of the game currently. But I am always hopeful someone there cares.... like actually cares. Literally 80% of the player base disconnects after each match, constant glitches, invisible walls, disconnects.... dont get me started on the actual server just "working". Customs are in the literal worst state since you put them in, and Oscar realizing TDM was not in customs on his last stream is actually hilarious. We all love this game, so why cant we get a little love back?

Ranked reward system should be reworked. Not only world tour offers better rewards (Multibucks) than Ranked, it’s also way easier to play no matter the league (since you can’t lose anything for placing low).

The dynamic tournament difficulty system is downright predatory, with easy tournaments making you sweat like it’s Ruby’s only in your lobby, and intermediate to challenging tournaments being somehow easier to place higher and win. Easy tournaments require you to sometimes make it as far as to the final round in order to get some RS, while very challenging tournaments(that are supposed to make you sweat) reward you with RS even for placing 5th. Effectively this means that tournaments are exactly the opposite of what they are called, with very easy tournaments being the hardest, and vice versa.

Punishment for disconnecting is non existent, like i had a guy rage quit after we lost first cash out in round 1, and his punishment was 10 minute ban from playing ranked or world tour, like why do i have to pay with my RS for some idiot basically throwing the game for me and the other teammate. Make it at least 2 hours for quitting mid match, but for ranked only, so that the person would quit the game right away.

Why is winch no issue: There’s plenty of counters. As a light you can dash out of it, as a medium you can pad yourself out of it, you can sometimes just slide away or you can just dmat yourself which works 90% of the time, as a heavy you have plenty of options because of the health pool. Just slide away and put a barricade/ dome or goo and you’ll survive.

The issue with stun is, once you’re stunned you can’t do all that.

In high elo people play around winch very well and it’s not an option.

The more casual players just need to know these tricks : )

You can always dashout, I do it as quick as I can as a top 100 but most top 100 lights just always get it right. Also LH1 oppresses full teams and m11 melts heavys. Lh1 can also melt lights.

New gamemode idea - Arena
Two teams with 3 players each spawning in small sized arena with cashout station in the center.
Once someone activate the station (activation takes 7 seconds) it will start cashing out with the same rules as in any gamemode.
One successful cashout adds 25k cash and the first team to get 50k - wins.

This gamemode is basically representation of final round in WT/RT but with some changes:
• Arena size is similar to TDM mode.
• Respawn time for each team is 15 seconds. 25 seconds for one player.
• Arena changes within cashouts. Arenas may include buildings or open space area.
• Stealing cashout takes 7 seconds if at least 1 player from opposite team is alive. 4 seconds if the enemy team is wiped.

The idea of this gamemode is to help players improve their teamplay and coordination.

Im saying it because everyone else is also saying it, The model is really really broken at the moment, and i mean as in its completely awful, its almost like an inaccurate rifle thats got a cheese grater on the end of the barrel splitting the bullets, The spread is so tight now that the margin for error, is not even comparable to other shotguns (Matter, DB, SA12) Henceforth, The Cerberus has become a new meta, seeing it being 3 stacked in ranked is incredbly annoying, as for it rewards players for simply equiping jump pad or zipline, i do think the buffs should be reverted on such to balance it out, Because despite what the model was last season, before the pellet spread nerf it was still viable, and a neat choice, However the nerf completely pushes people over to the Cerberus. The treatment of the model IS AWFUL.

The Model isnt the only shotgun that suffers from being underpowered, The KS also seems to suffer from such, Racking the gun seems to be more of an opportunity to just be mowed down by an automatic weapon, not only that but the Weapon itself and its projectile may need to be sped up, Either that or the KS recives a damage buff, Its single handedly one of the best Possible weapon combos for heavy pairing well with Winch Claw, but it suffers just from its sluggishness and not being able to keep up with other weapons in the arena.

Limited time game mode idea:

Game Mode: Lost In Space
Map: Takes place on the Moon, buildings are lunar colony esque.

Special rules:

  • Permanently active Zero Gravity map modifier: Players will drift slowly in the movement of any given motion, will slowly trend back towards the “ground”, but motion or force pushing or pulling them will easily override that. Projectiles will also travel/be thrown much slower.
  • Skybox is considered out of bounds and will instantly kill you on contact.
  • Too far in any direction to a side and it’ll also be out of bounds and instantly kill you on contact.
  • No cash outs, no vaults.

Loadouts are forcibly modified:

  • Any specializations and gadgets that deal damage instead have the damage converted to pushback in that direction (pull, for Winch). Turret has cooldown/lock on time so it’s not auto best option in this mode.
  • Weapons are replaced with Gravity Guns. Primary fire: Repel, Secondary fire: Attract. Shoot a surface to repel yourself from it or attract yourself towards it. Shoot a player to push or pull them.

Goal: Kill enemies via out of bounds knockout.

There defo is SBMM, but it's VERY loose in casual modes, including WT (WT is not ranked). Devs haven't really confirmed it or not anywhere as far as I know (I looked into it a bit ago). Best I found was a post from season 1 (before WT) when they said they improved it, so it definitely exists.

It's become a common "truth" to say there's no SBMM because people just say it, but I'm pretty sure the reality is just that they prioritize queue time and don't GAF for casual modes. If Ranked's matchmaking is anything to go by, it might be the same there lol.

Also, I feel you with the skill gap thing. It feels like every match I'm in everyone is always better than me unless I get the perfect team. Probably just how it goes. There is currently a glitch where you can be seen through walls like infinite sonar though, so ambersobs who knows

Are you sure? Do you have any source confirming that? I'm geniuinely interested in how the matchmaking works.

I'm in doubt because I almost exclusively get put up against at least a few top players (or people that I feel like are blatantly cheating), resulting in me having to sweat my balls off to get anywhere (I'm Gold 2 in ranked BTW, I expect I can get to Platinum 1 or 2 if I had more time and all the stars align). If there was no SBMM whatsoever you'd say it's unlikely to encounter someone that turns out to be Diamond or Ruby in nearly every match, as it's the top ~3000 ish players out of a current playercount that always hovers around the 12-15k players. Even if every single one of the top 3000 players would be online at all times I'd say that its unlikely that they fill half of every match I join.

@oak kernel My "theory" at the moment is that your account has a hidden Matchmaking rank assigned to it and tries to balance the match around your team's combined "hidden MMR" in every mode except ranked. The problem I mostly have with this is that I used to be a lot better about a year ago and because of a lack of time I can't really put enough time in the game to get better. This wouldn't really have to be a problem, except I feel like this hidden MMR isn't updated properly. I'm constantly getting destroyed in about 90 to 95% of the matches I play and I can't for the life of me imagine that there are no current matches that are more suited to my current skill level.
I mostly feel like the "loose" implementation of SBMM in casual modes tends to gravitate towards putting you up against people who are clearly better than I am, rather than setting you up for a match that can be won without sweating too hard. I'm pretty sure your team's combined MMR is the culprit, because matches I play with one friend are significantly more difficult than matches I play with another friend.

I mean from my experience in world tour, when i only get on, i get first 3-7 very easy games that i place high/win, but after that im put against literally jobless sweats. My theory is that game is adapting to how i do, as i play, and then forgets it the second i log off, there’s definitely noob-protection, because i never met a silver guy in my lobby (im Emerald 2). Ranked is very transparent in that regard, but has its own problems. Your problem in ranked is because Ranked as a game mode is just worse version of world tour-worse rewards and more punishing for mistakes (MMR loss, Money loss upon being team wiped), so it’s literally the same 800 people that play it, the people your gonna meet from game to game, because everyone else is playing world tour. Player count is higher than 15-20k especially after release on past gen consoles, so based on my feeling ranked has gotten better, but now that im platinum 3 (33k mmr) it’s gotten normal that i meet a team of diamonds and occasionally 1 or 2 rubies.

I'm just guessing overall. But The sonar glitch is server fault. miss counting ticks of the sonar and skipping the last tick needs to cancel it out but it still counts the negative ticks that shouldn't exist with another sonar or server skipped a tick result. Why i guessed that easily? Well if you play light and take both dart tracker or sonar grenade and just time it out perfectly and also time it perfectly when they leave the zone of sonar ends. It will skip a tick and won't stop counting and also how it continues counting after death (Out of the radius of the sonar, No death check if tracked in negative ticks), It counts the (-) negative ticks after death and still have the trigger of the "Being Tracked" and will stay forever until the end of the server match.

God, Just making it understandable and readable is difficult. ;-;
Weird that the devs didn't fix it yet. I'm interested to know.

You've gotta remember, there's only like 10k players max at any time on PC pretty much. Our playerbase is rather small on the PC side. The only people playing this game on PC and console are probably the ones that really like it, though I really doubt we have some of the best FPS players in the world at all times like it feels like haha_satania . This game is probably closer to Tarkov than people realize with the cheating on both PC and console. It's probably not every game, but I'm sure there's tons more clownery going on than people think.

I regret spending 20 euro to pay the season pass for this game and i am trying to be kind... hundred of matches in world tour i just find trolls playing against the same team or with level 0 idiots against coordinate teams 80 ruby. This should be funny? I practically can play only quick cash and powershift if i wanna win. Now i will just press alt+f4 fk i can't spend 10 minutes to find a match and 10 minutes with a bunch of idiots running around the map being annihilated by the opponents.
i forget the same toxic guy i blocked and reported dozen of times to find him every time doing the same shit, i forgive him because he probably get frustrated by the game...

I'm lowkey going crazy, so I hope any of you guys can confirm what I've been experiencing. During some games suddenly I've been able to view people through the walls on the entire map, like as if they are being scanned by a sonar grenade 24/7. It's happened like 4 times on both my PC and my girlfriend's when we play together, and it applies only to 1 team and till the entire game is over (all matches if we go all the way to the final). I've tried saying smth in the general chat to figure out if this is a general issue, but no one seems to have experienced this? Either way, I figured it should be mentioned cause at this point it's pretty difficult to know whether people can see me/us through the walls whenever I/we play, which kinda ruins the integrity of the game

When are bots getting released for normal matchmaking, Good enough that i'm Silver~Gold Stuck and i'm fighting aganist Diamond/Emerald. How can this happen?

Why players like me, Have to fight against 2k hours players just because i perform well. I get it, There isn't alot of players and either good or bad all together. Causal players or not. BUT The rank exists to show where you at. Not where you fight because the matchmaking tests you consistently. If i'm silver or gold, AT least place me normally against ONLY golds or silvers depends how close i'm to ranking up.

Winning streak and then a loss. Sounds better then Losing streak then win and then lose streak again. I feel like Ranked Tournament is better off playable (kinda) then world tour, I do want to get Plat or Diamond items but it's impossible when you fight Diamonds or Emeralds because they are groups of people in discord. And i'm solo.

Talking about "solo", It's not fun or enjoyable solo, Because you see other groups are due or trio, How is this fair? Let me play only solo with others who want to solo. But i get this part as well, No enough players. But that's why i started to talk about bots. This is also what fixed matchmaking for other games who have bots. But making a bot that knows how to play and do tactical moves like all players do. But this can be limited to what ranks can have bots or don't have bots. Because most of the players are in those ranks don't need bots. But the ones who are blow rank Gold get bots but when there isn't enough for plat. then add bots when it's needed. Also helps players are far away from the majority of players at EU or US.

I also get the problem making bots for this game. It's overwhelming for bot thinking system when everything gets destroyed, They need to create a new AI/Nav pathway.

Anyways. The matchmaking is troublesome. And makes me feel don't want to play the game until the next season maybe.

Thermal vision sometimes stops working after dying while its been turned on and gets disabled by glitch mine.

When respawning it does the activation animation but nothing happens. U can keep spamming it.

Only Light has guns with suppressors, would be cool if Medium and Heavy had some too.

Maybe the AS VAL for Medium, fast fire rate and 20 in the magazine? Not sure about damage.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

Imo what could balance the game (to only a considerable extent). Obviously someone's gonna take it personally and start being toxic about even touching their favourite weapon, but still.

Medium:

  • Give turrets an overheat mechanic. For 4 seconds at least.
  • Revert Model Nerf.

Light:

  • Buff dagger. Make its backstab more reliable and accurate, and give either its regular attack a bit more damage.
  • Give cloak a deactivation time of 1 second. Make cloak users able to use gadgets only and not guns, but run faster while crouched.
  • Stun Gun. It should have a charge mechanic. And makes a buzzing sound. Cloak removes when charging.
  • Buff XP54 by increasing its mag size.

Heavy:

  • Buff winch to 14m.
  • Buff KS-23 by reducing its spread and increasing crit hit damage.
  • Bring back goovement. Did almost literally no harm to the opponents and was fun to use.
  • Add a damage falloff mechanic to Akimbo (cuz it sometimes feels like it doesnt). But the damage fall off shouldnt be less than medium-range.

Things NOT to Buff/Nerf or touch at all(honorable mention kinda thing):

  • M11.
  • Sniper.
  • Shak-50
  • Akimbo
  • AKM
  • Pike
  • Cerberus

Plug cash should be removed and switched with 33% of the cash going to the team holding the cashout every 1/3d of the time. If this was the meta I'd have been top 50 by now.
Plug bonus was added in season 3 to counter third partying but it's never been this bad with the third partying and we ended up with lights stealing the box and going for the plug bonus with their dash/grappling/portal and leaving their team to lose team fights resulting in a loss for both parties involved..
It's become a game of run and plug. Luck > Skill. With S3 becoming the downfall of nearly all skill involvement in this game.
It would also counter doubling as it happens so much by first teams just to control who they want to go second (aka to go through the next round) causing 1 team to control the whole game by teaming with others which i thought was against the rules.
And most of the time that first team is a full 3-stack ruby that no ones dare to engage with this messed up matchmaking. FIX your ranked matchmaking or just remove world tour because i have a feeling a lot of players are just doing that so they don't have to put up with this matchmaking bullshit
EVERY game i have the most kills and damage, and EVERY game it's third parties and that make me lose more then i gain.
Season 2 ranking was peak. IDK who ever thought of changing that system but it's so demotivating and randomness took over skill/team fights.
Getting to Diamond/Ruby these days is just playing as much games as possible hoping you'll get a few lucky games consecutively till you make it

Light is ruining the fun in this game. It has selfish and cheesy abilities that don't help the team. The sword is the most infuriating part of the game paired with dash, and the invisibility has GOT to be vaulted! The thermal vision and smoke combo is starting to take over the meta, and there's no other counterplay to all of these nuisances than to have another light on your team. It's not fun, nor rewarding to have to play a separate character that is devoted solely to countering itself. Especially when its kit does NOT have teamplay other than glitch grenade. VAULT LIGHT!!! or rework the character to be a team player, and not have cheesy movement gunfights. AND PLEASE VAULT SWORD S6!!!!

When a double is made every team closes in on that cashout, and it likely wont be stolen until the near tail end of the cashout after most teams have been wiped/pushed back, which means the team that plugged is probably going to at least get the first third of the money. Not to mention the high amount of stalling gadgets that exist, I can only see this change making plug meta worse

the biggest thing to be done that would make this game so much better is just fix the servers, the desync has gotten so bad its hard to imagine that it use to be even slightly good. this would fix so many grips about weapons and just everything in the game.

my personal thought is bring back animation canceling for the sniper, ks, and model. these weapons have been played with it since they dropped and everyone thought it was a feature not a bug. its dropped their damage potential so much and just over all made them less fun to use. if this is just a hill the game is going to die on atleast make it so its more reliable to qm with, i feel like i wait out the animation to only end up having to wait again cause it seems i was a second off from it actually being finished.

theres obviously alot more that could be done to improve QoL but the first is the biggest and the second would just make it over all more fun to use

Please fix your Ranked game mode matchmaking this is unplayable! Once I am above 35k points i get matched with teammates who have no comms, just wanna play Light. With Enemies of 46k points full stacked diamond teams or Maybe some Ruby players. These seedings don't work for shit. The seeding point system is crap also. I am 5th seed going up against FULL diamond team, Diamond team with smurf from Bronze and then high platinum players. Firstly everybody avoids the fucking diamond and ruby players ALL THE TIME... So third partying has become crazier than EVER! There are games we need to wipe two teams 3/4 times... and the other high ELO team is just fucking chilling in the game? I don't think this is how the game is supposed to be played but okay. ** REMOVE DOUBLING FIRSTLY ** ! We need to go back to PEAK finals that was Season 2. Since Season 3 it only has become worse, the matchmaking, the third partying. Whenever i get matched with ONE good teammate i usually go up against ruby or diamonds and when i get a high seed like #1 my teammates are ASS and don't know how to play. I am stuck at 35k platinum because the matchmaking is unplayable, third partying has been crazier than ever. Teams are literally AVOIDING #1 seeded team... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

The server problems are really very bad. Getting killed slightly behind a wall is obnoxious but I’ve just noticed I can’t drop lights through the ground with demat anymore. They’re too fast for the ground to update on their side in time for them to fall I guess.

This is rough. I’m familiar with server issues, hell I played Dark Souls 3 pvp religiously for a minute. But this is a constant and consistent issue plaguing every match. I really hope these latency issues are top of the list for upcoming updates, as it seems with every cosmetic or balance update the game itself has been becoming less stable.

I will always prefer updates to stability and game feel over basically everything else. I’d even be fine with no cosmetics or new maps at all next season if it was purely focused on making the game feel better to play.

If you give a team cash for the amount of control time for a cash out with removing doubling this would actually make the game better but that is just my feeling. I have been playing this game from season one and over 1000+ hours on the game. Teams would actually be fighting for holding the cash outs instead of doubling and just playing the plug bonus. The matchmaking would do a lot on its own of course. Because it is crazy that when i am currently at 35k i need to play against TOP 500 players

i think finals needs to fix their ranking system. Every game im playing there are either cheaters or people who are like lvl 25 and clearly play like its not their rank. Its so irritating. Everygame has smurfs or i randomly get ranked with platinum 30K players while i have 22k gold. Its impossible to improve if all your games are aginst pros or smurfs. Why dont you hardware lock players profiles and if they play really really well one game they instantly get put into a much higher rank.

To bolster my point there are numerous input dropping issues. Being spontaneously unable to sprint, suddenly dropping objects you’re carrying without hitting an input, spontaneously being unable to shoot or use gadgets which I’ve just experienced for the first time, and now with the most recent patch being unable to swap to your spec on medium at random https://discord.com/channels/1008696016318513243/1342606584605442138.

AN IDEA TO FIX WT/RANKED MATCHMAKING IN LOW POPULATION REGIONS.

There should be a "region selected" where you want to play, and a "region preferred" where you're actually in.

lets say you live in South America, where you can't find Ranked or World tour matches because servers are "empty"(not really for Quick cash) and players don't even try to search ranked or WT in South america anymore.

So we should have "selected region: North america" and another option like "Preferred region: South America" so players in South America who search WT/ranked in NA servers are put in a pool where players located in SA servers searching matches in NA servers are put together into SA servers instead(because that was their declared preferred region).

This should help filtering players who can't find matches in their region and allows a "double region matchmaking" kind of system.

I have nearly 1500 hours on this game, and what you're suggesting would make the game even more oppressive, it would further incentivise strong teams to wipe whoever has doubled, even faster, so they can steal and screw you, if this change was made, you'd be here complaining in a week. I had a really fun idea for a CNS related event. Given how CNS glitches your map slightly i thought it be a really cool thing for them to eventually hack/glitch 2 entire maps together into 1, with overlapping elements from both maps mixing into each other. For them it is a botlobby and surely with the teammates im getting. the game isn't played like its supposed to be played with this ranked seeding system and matchmaking system. I can learn from them by watching gameplay (what i already do so you don't have to tell me how to get better because i also got close to 1500 hours on this game. Got it, you're a sore loser that's plateaued and instead of having a discussion about your bad ideas, you're going to keep making excuses and insult my ability to read like I'm some idiot. The only change you've suggested that makes any sense is fixing matchmaking. The changes you are suggesting would make the game worse, it would ruin the creativity, and the amount of viable playstyles, and it would make third partying in a lobby with 4 teams more oppressive. You're actively suggesting a change that would have the opposite effect on your problem. If ranked was only 2 teams in a match that would work, your suggestion would make fights at a vault be more time consuming, you'd likely get wiped at a vault, and then suffer cause you're not one of the 2 teams that has a cashout, by the time you finish fighting to steal it back, they would already have the majority of the money, making stealing useless, and giving any team that can't manage a plug, a severe disadvantage, the way it's set up now, allows teams a chance to actually compete without getting the first vault. The fact you can't even see that shows how little you're actually understanding about the flow of the game and the way it currently functions. You have 1000 hours, but you're not learning anything, you still think your kills mean anything, when they only give you a measly 500 cash per kill, your kills would only mean something if you're actively dropping 20 bombs, and from the way you talk, it doesn't sound like you do. The plug meta is also the only reason light is even slightly viable in high elos, the change you're suggesting would make light a useless class again, which I'm sure a lot of people would like, cause of the dumb amount of hate the weakest class in game gets. At that point, it might as well actually be removed with these changes you're suggesting. Your suggestions are just bad dude.

Keep having this problem where sometimes mid game i lose the ability to ADS, i can still use M2 on other things such as grenades.
Spectating also seems to be invilved in the bug, preventing me to scroll teammates with M2

im not saying heavies should win all fights, im saying that if i hit 100% of my shots against a medium / light i should kill them more times than they should kill me. the amount of times i have out-aimed a medium player just for him to turn around with the famas and do 350 damage in less time than i can do 200 then theres an issue. charge and slam solved this issue because you could make up for the lack of damage by running into people, now that charge and slam does f all you have to rely on either your oponent being bad or you having inhuman aim and hitting all headshots. the only way to solve the lack of damage on heavy is reverting the nerf to c&s or buffing the weapons because heavy is becoming a class that is only good for holding your mesh shield out and letting your teammates do all the work which is incredibly boring. heavy now takes 100x more skill to play than any other class because of your inability to run away and need to have better aim than everyone else otherwise your gun simply doesnt do enough damage 🤷‍♂️ not mentioning how rpg and frags (the best gadgets on heavy) have also been nerfed heavily

Suggestion to improve the new player experience: Give more VR's during/after the first few matches. You can't really experiment with the sandbox if you need to play 10 matches per unlock.

Incorporation of NFTs into The Finals is a cool idea.

  1. You can track that NFTs are real and valid from Embark/The Finals/Nexon
  2. NFTs are owned by the users
    +The NFTs have an actual dollar amount value
  3. Every time a player what's to "trade" or "purchase" a cosmetic NFT Embark could receive ROYALTIES on those trades.
    (Royalties are common in NFT trading/purchases)

-Essentially the initial"printing" (purchasing) of a cosmetic would be worth a designated amount depending on several factors like:

  1. Supply - how much is ever minted
  2. Rarity - cooler items may cost more to mint (common vs legendary)
    And more

Subsequent trades could include a royalty of 10% for example. This potentially act as smaller additional earnings for the originators (Embark/The Finals)

I'm a crypto bro so I have been exposed to the idea of ownership of cosmetics in a game and I also like it as an additional source of income for my favorite free videogames. The cosmetics in the finals also happen to be S-tier too.

I imagine grinding for a super rare cosmetic in the finals and adding it to a trophy room to show off. Because of the demand and value it's worth more and if I trade/sell it then a royalty would be sent back to Embark.

(To be honest, I doubt it would be crazy amounts of money but it's just an idea I've had forever)

A great idea could be giving heavy the specialization to fly using flames from his ass and releasing food to replenish HP for the team. The light could pickpocket the opponents leaving them without weapons or without trousers. The medium should be able to prescribe steroids to the team enhancing performances.

The jab cancel animation for the shotguns feel awful in a very specific way that I do not think many people have pointed out. I understand the 5.8 change was done to make them seem more realistic, however the opposite was done ironically. The reason why jab cancel didn't seem like a glitch before was because the hand "caulking the gun" was out of view after jabbing, and the 'caulking' sound could still be heard. It still made sense visually to the player despite the logic of it. However now, the gun can infinitely pump out empty shells and be 'caulked' if you didn't let the final 0.0005 second of the animation to play out. This ironically causes the gun to seem far more unrealistic than before and feel unresponsive.

There's three ways to fix this;

Break the 'caulking' animation down to several parts: pull back, eject, caulk, and the rest can be a window for a jab and be cancelled (a fairly small window). This allows players spamming jab to go through the different parts of the 'caulking' animation without repeating certain animations that do not make sense visually.

Another way, which I would much prefer if you wish for the guns to not be too strong with jab cancelling, is to start the 'caulking' animation after jabbing, but after the jab animation, the rest of the 'caulking' animation play out. This is very difficult to make look good and may require changes to the jab animations itself as well. However, it is a good solution if you want to ensure that the shoot jab shoot combos aren't so strong.

Last solution, is to just revert it back to before 5.8. I beg you embark please I love The Finals and I don't want to quit over such a tiny change I can't beat cerberus or even ARs now in face to face combat it just feels so pointless to use my favourite guns in the game please 😭

i noticed some problem and some point that i think is valuable

1 - sometimes is connecting to the game, listen that the game is going on but is stuck in loading screen.

2 - sometimes when you get revived or randomly u cannot jump, or u cannot aim, or u cannot shoot or it get stucked in reloading. ( for fixing it you have to go in setting and change keycaps.. during ranked is not a things you have time to do)

3- if i research a game with light class, why the game put me in a team where there is already 1 light? 2 light same team is not good. it should be a choice you do in the lobby, not pre chosed by the matchmaking.

4- if i search a game with my friend that is 15k and i am 25k, why the game put us in 30k lobby?

Also i'd like to see a scoreboard of my ranked match, not statistic from the game in every mode but i would like to see how is my kd, total cashout, positioning, win, lose ONLY in ranked. Do you think is possible to add to the game?

In my opinion, I think the value of the 3rd rotation of cashboxes in wt/ranked should be equal to the value of the second as these cash boxes are effectively the only thing you could win and you would still progressive compared to somehow who won the first 2 sets, it feels like it hardly matters what you do for the first half of the game when it can all be thrown away by the value of the last boxes

Please, do something about the respawns in World Tour!!! Every time my team died, we would respawn 200m away, ALWAYS, with every team wipe. That means we could never get back into the fight, even when the cashout was STILL OURS! Even when we had possession, we would respawn 200m away or even farther! We once spawned 256m away!

Jus wanted to shoutout, whatever ya did to spear makes it work so much better now if combined with Mesh. Like, it's actually useable now. No longer is right click a death sentence for point an poker heavy. I haven't yet tried dual blades in a bit to see if they're better, but it'd be rad to give them the same treatment an allow DB block to act as a cancel to your swing.

Don't nerf the flamethrower! It is fine where it is at. You just need to learn how to fight it. Most importantly don't' be scared of it. Your weapon likes has a way higher TTK, so best thing to do is face it down, get up close and personal and lay into them. Doesn't hurt to open with a nade too.

I really hope next season that guns across the board get a bit more recoil or become projectile past like 5m. I feel like most guns have started to feel pretty similar now recoil wise - as in pretty low recoil. Which defeats the purpose of recoil patterns tbh. If you're going to have the recoil be super low, you may as well just make it somewhat randomly jump the gun (as in, every gun has a certain pull strength in each of the 4 directions and bounces within a range each shot).

This has been my thought for a while. It’s got a niche it works in, and it’s tough using it out of it.

I feel like a lot of complaints about specific weapons are just coming from folks who main whatever it counters. Without realizing half the game is just outsmarting and out countering enemy tactics. Like yeah the M11 is rough to play against when use the Cerberus or a melee weapon because it melts me before I can get close enough to do full damage. But I’m the one doing the melting if I’m running something with any range whatsoever.

Although frankly with ambush lights, you really just have to listen for footsteps and tag them first to win.

Fuck it, season 6, I want a heavy primary that’s a riot shield five-seven combo, and I’m postin this every day till it happens.

  • 25 damage per shot, fire rate and damage falloff similar to the V9S
  • 20 round mag, reload slightly slower than the V9S (reloading with a shield in your hands is hard :c)
  • hipfire isn’t great isn’t terrible, only really good for people who are way too close.
  • ADS is laser accurate, but requires you shift your shields position diagonally, revealing your head and more of your legs.
  • Recoil is similar to the V9S, maybe slightly higher as a balance point.
  • Riot shield is effectively identical to mediums, maybe shorter to reveal more of heavies legs so it’s not just “better riot shield”
  • Shield is held up whenever not sprinting. Lowering heavies movement slightly.
  • Shield is held to side while sprinting, functioning like mediums riot shield when not being held up.

One day, I'd personally like to see Embark experiment (in WT) teams where you CANNOT pick the same utility (Specializations and Gadgets. Weapons NOT included) as your fellow teammates. For further elaboration, imagine a triple LLL or MMM team and they all have Invis or Healing Beam + Defibs equipped. With this change in mind only one Light can use Invis and only one Medium can use Healing Beam + Defib.

I feel this forces a sense of more diversity in gameplay rather than facing off against a 3 stack of whatever class, all running near copies of loadouts. It also pushes forward a sense of strategy of who works well with.

Again I only advocate this as a week of World Tour for feedback from the community.

I think this would work if it had more passive drawbacks, as a Heavy that's passively taking less damage basically makes them invincible with a medigun. It'd be very hard to dump enough rounds into the exposed areas at a high enough rate to kill, even burst damage like a sniper or bow would probably have a hard time dropping that without 3-2-1-shoot coordination. And considering Heavy already has a mobile shield, giving Heavy two in one loadout sounds like a recipe for disaster.
And as someone who uses Medium riot, it's shield is insanely valuable for guarding resses or steals, so having a bigger, tankier shield could be a brick wall in comparison. Making it slightly smaller to expose more parts of the Heavy kinda defeats the purpose of the shield if you can just nip their toes anyways, but this does expose them to much more explosive damage from grenades or floor rockets potentially, so I see the nerf there.

Make the invisible specialization only work when you are unarmed, and slightly extend the length of invis. Make it useful for crossing in the open but not for aiming at an enemy. This way lights can flank position without using invis for LH1 headshots or SH1900 attacks.

Make vanish bomb the only way to be invisible and be holding a gun.

Typically when waiting for a game I tab out to a browser and wait for the windows bar to change color to indicate that I've found a match / loaded in. In this new patch when doing this it will 'reset' my tabbed out mouse cursor when the game loads. there's a noticeable difference in slipperiness when it does this, I assume its the engine taking control. usually at the blue character loadout screen

I dont know if this is related but I've been playing a lot of tdm and have noticed a lot more input latency and no regs. If this is not server related, and the tabbed behavior is somehow aligned with this.. please note that it has made things worse and revert.

My opinion on how to fix griefing and teaming in ranked.

I think the cap for a ensured win is 37 to 40k dollars. lets use 40k dollars .If the team in first place is dominating the whole lobby and winning every fight or simply lucky .I feel like once they cross the 40k dollar mark ,they should be qualified immediately and transported to the arrival hall.(That is the red room where you see the seedings and stuff(yes its canon).Thats what scotty calls it.)When this happens. The last three teams can fight for second place fairly. What do you think? where did i go wrong. Just a thought.my only concern is that it basically turns to quick cash(somewhat). But it would be interesting to see who joins you in the next round. This would apply to the two lobbies obviously

Okay well this isn’t R6S. This isn’t “first guy to shoot someone else’s head wins” CSGO in your grandmas house the videogame. This is an arcade shooter where everyone has explosives/molotovs/toxic gas grenades (which if memory served me, “da canistahs” did damn good work at fucking up shields) in their back pocket and you can facetank ten AK rounds and walk it off.

I recognize the issue of a shield in a tactical shooter, but we can be a little more lenient here.

That’s reasonable, but I feel a heftier mag is almost needed to make it so you aren’t fighting with the gimmick of the weapon.

M11 doesn’t need a nerf.

Model should be buffed, but not its damage, let alone by 2 whole points, that instantly makes it unbalanced again.

Its damage should be bad compared to Cerberus, it has way longer range. Buff RPM and reload speed to improve TTK and overall gameplay smoothness.

5 hot takes for buffs and changes:

  1. Buff the dagger and 93R, so they can compete with the V9S and sword respectively, right now you ONLY see V9S and Sword

Lobbies are ALWAYS filled with just lights running everything BUT the 2 stated, I play a round of world tour, ranked or tdm and everyone is just running meta AND is sweaty af, how is that fun???

  1. Buff riot shield so that when you melee, there's more lock on and a small dash to chase an enemy, right now, even if I'm 2cm infront of them, their walking is faster than my baton swings... I MISS BY 1cm.

It's either;

I run at them and get shot, catching up = dying

Walking and them tracking my arms and feet to shoot, I can't back away = dying

Play passive and them gunning down my exposed bits = dying

With the basic attack, it's pretty easy to kill a heavy since they are slower than medium, but medium I'll never catch or light I'll catch in my dreams, medium and light gun me down from close-ish range since we are either the same speed or the lights walk back is faster than my walk AND run with the shield.

Forgetting the fact holding the shield up makes you move even slower = even a medium is faster than you, meaning they will back up and gun you down leaving the fact you can't do anything

(I'm not saying buff the movement speed while holding the shield up, that's fair, leave that if anything, but maybe a SLIGHT buff so your BARELY slower than medium walk speed)

  1. FIX powershift so it counts towards the Deep Pockets achievement, I don't want to play the lottery for the normal modes just for me to get the achievement, this game is supposed to be fun, not depressing, I can bare getting a sweaty team in Powershift since it's a party mode and there's more killing.

The normal modes are sweaty af and more often than not it feels more like teams are premade, I believe this achievement should be obtainable solo, as playing ranked even for 10 minutes solo makes me want to drop this game, I shouldn't be forced to look for pre-making a team, THE NORMAL MODES ARE BORING AND INFURIATING COMPARED TO POWERSHIFT TO ME...

I don't want to touch the other modes but I have to for killing them with the cash box, that is SLIGHTLY bearable but is rare af since it will probably take me over 100 games since with randoms, we ALWAYS die first.

These achievements should all be doable solo

  1. Make Space Rock Skipper more attainable in the sense of making more meteors hit the ground in 1 event, and make their hitbox bigger as this is the BIGGEST BS achievement to get

Gambling on IF I get this modifier to even occur in any given match OR I get there quick enough

Increase the amount of meteors hitting and the time this modifier lasts, make it last as long as Alien Invasion or even longer

You spend more time looking for the meteor event AND running to it and placing a jump pad, then praying that 1 even hits your jump pad, better yet, make alien invasion also count maybe

(Make the meteor event location more discernible by adding clouds and a darkened sky in the area so we have a better idea)

  1. Buff Cerberus so it competes better with the model, maybe make it so that each successful hit with a certain amount of bullets hitting the enemy per trigger pull adds a multiplier to the burn effect.

BUT..

Each class has a different multiplier

So, after hitting light 3 shots, the burn WILL finish him off just before your done reloading OR you'll 1 more shot to finish him off, make this true for the medium as well, but 4 shots maybe

For heavy maybe make it 5, since I tried the Cerberus, shooting 3 shots that I'm SURE hitting him with, didn't even bring his health to half way

Right now the burn for any class is pathetic I'd say, you don't have to increase the damage per tick but I'd say the Cerberus burn damage should last a little longer

To delay enemy Regen and MAYBE guarantee a fleeing light trying to escape kill

(5 isn't perfect but I just feel like Cerberus is lacking compared to model rn)

The jab cancel animation for the shotguns feel awful in a very specific way that I do not think many people have pointed out. I understand the 5.8 change was done to make them seem more realistic, however the opposite was done ironically. The reason why jab cancel didn't seem like a glitch before was because the hand "caulking the gun" was out of view after jabbing, and the 'caulking' sound could still be heard. It still made sense visually to the player despite the logic of it. However now, the gun can infinitely pump out empty shells and be 'caulked' if you didn't let the final 0.0005 second of the animation to play out. This ironically causes the gun to seem far more unrealistic than before and feel unresponsive.

There's three ways to fix this;

Break the 'caulking' animation down to several parts: pull back, eject, caulk, and the rest can be a window for a jab and be cancelled (a fairly small window). This allows players spamming jab to go through the different parts of the 'caulking' animation without repeating certain animations that do not make sense visually.

Another way, which I would much prefer if you wish for the guns to not be too strong with jab cancelling, is to start the 'caulking' animation after jabbing, but after the jab animation, the rest of the 'caulking' animation play out. This is very difficult to make look good and may require changes to the jab animations itself as well. However, it is a good solution if you want to ensure that the shoot jab shoot combos aren't so strong.

Last solution, is to just revert it back to before 5.8. I beg you embark please I love The Finals and I don't want to quit over such a tiny change I can't beat cerberus or even ARs now in face to face combat it just feels so pointless to use my favourite guns in the game please 😭

Glitching a mine should prevent it from detonating when destroyed. Destroying a gas/fire mine just to have it detonate and zone off the area anyways is stupid, especially when it's been glitched beforehand.

The visual tracking effect from Sonar Grenades and the like is so slow that it can often be detrimental instead of useful, especially in close quarters.

It lags behind players’ actual movement and is visually messy, lending itself to confusion instead of the intended clarity.

Zipline is far too cumbersome to place. Like Barricade, it desperately needs some exemption from obstruction.

This applies to both ends of the Zip. You should be able to place one whilst standing in a window for instance.

There is also a short period (say 0.3s) in which selecting the Zip and attempting to place it will not work, as it’s still being equipped. It’s fine for this delay to exist however any inputs during this timeframe should still register once it’s over, to improve feel/consistency/speed of use. Dematerialiser has the exact same issue.

The lighting exposure can also make it very difficult to see if the Zip can be placed on a rooftop whilst looking upwards.

Game mode suggestion:

Baserace.
Baserace is a 2-teams mode which is basically CTF, but you build your own base.
You need to run to the other side of the map (enemy camp) and retrieve upgrades.
There's 2 spots where you can get the upgrades in enemy base, so they need to set up defences strategically.

Upgrades you can make:
Walls around the base
Huge watchtowers
Healing post
CD Reset post
Repair post
(Flame)Turrets
and more you can think about....

There should be different lanes/levels towards objective.

Could be 5v5, 8v8 mode, depending on map.
Destruction is a thing in the game. You can temporarily blow walls etc, needs to be repaired (which will take time).

Upgrades for your base can have multiple levels. Maybe tier 1,2,3.

This is not new, this is from an ancient old game i played 20 years ago with the shooter wolfenstein enemy territory. There are vids on youtube to see how this works.
I think this game has the right mechanics and playability to make this a gamemode. Lmk what u think.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

Buff the R93 and Dagger so they compete with the Sword and V9S

Recoil is way to punishing compared to the spammability of V9S and the agility you get from right clicking sword.

Why pick 93R when V9S can do the same thing but better??

That logic applies here, same for sword -the 1 hit ability but + mobility instead.

Dagger takes skill to kill, sword has so much movement for right click + evasive dash that it goes circles around every other class.

Dagger you still have to get behind them and you HAVE to have evasive dash.

Dagger you know they trained for it so it's fair, sword takes 0 skill but so much reward is gained.

Since i noticed that THE FINALS OST is 🔥, i had an idea, that if you could enable lobby music from a music player to use in matches, and other music. i hope that some more intense music gets added with the music player. Hopefully my idea is taken into consideration. Thanks!

Add a maximum distance of RS between players you queue with so you don't get 15-20k gaps in your games. It's not fun playing against near diamonds as a gold 1 player.

I think you're missing the point, I might be overexaggerating the distance but it's still there and it's discouraging people from wanting to play matchmaking because being gold and playing against diamonds is a completely different match

there were a few times before the nerf i feel like i robbed tf out of somebody with a stab that i had no business hitting, but now i can’t get one when i’m RIGHT BEHIND THEM half the time 😑 i can’t help but think it was waaaay too much for an already niche weapon. you already move so slow when you’re charging the heavy attack & the slight lunge you get sometimes is so inconsistent.

What you're saying makes no sense. I don't even play cod in the first place. These 2 games have nothing in common in their gameplay, with or without low gravity event. I simply don't like having to touch the game skybox with my head when the event pops out just before a jump pad. Climbing feels also terrible inside buildings with this event and low gravity doesn't bring any fun, it just makes the game slower and more random

Can we get a "Plant" feature of sensors and mines? Always found it weird and jarring that when I'm right next to a wall I can't just place it. It would also make it easier to utilize them in certain situations regarding the migrating platform in PowerShift, and others in the various maps/modes.

Make the meteor shower event last longer before disappearing, by increasing the time or by making the arena get darker and you can visually see in the sky, meteors will hit in that area of the map.

(This could be done 10 seconds just before the meteor event gets announced in the count down face, that way we have ample time to prepare and start looking at the skies for the meteor event)

Otherwise make a warning mark in the area it will hit sometimes, so we have a greater chance.

It's roulette to even get to a meteor shower event rn, would be nice if it's a bit more doable
