So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

Suggestion for solo match making or just better and more balanced matchmaking please. I'm getting lobbies of new players going up against 4-5 stacks with amethyst badges absolutely stomping them with me trying to stay alive in the middle.

There need to be a system similar to csgo/siege/valorant that put 3+ stacks against 3+ stacks and beyond otherwise those who play solo or duo are just going to have a bad time.

I dont have issues with people stacking, i have issue with putting those stacked players against less experience solo players.

Assuming all parties have good aim:
Medium TTKs are so slow compared to it's health that it's really weakest outside some rather niche situations. Couple bad TTK/DPS with low mag size/reload speed ratio (even for the AKM) and medium's health, and it's just not great.

Heavy has effectively 3 flavors of "better AKM" and more HP to survive long enough to dish it out, light gets a dozen or more weapons that are 3x the weapon all medium options are, while medium gets bad DPS and not enough health to survive dishing it out (against an equally skilled light/heavy).

Dash is trash when you've got trash server. Everytime I dash behind a wall to get cover while I'm shooted, I die anyway, BEHIND COVER. Please fix this fast it's been a year now.

  • Servers are going down this week-end, it's more unplayable than ever. Matchmaking is going down too even in week-end so it's finish. The game start to die.

Just the ranked matchmaking. I was playing with 9,000 RS and my friend had 14,000 RS. Every single game we would be put in lobbied with gold players even going to 26,000 RS. Our team would be 30,000 RS together and then the other teams would be 60,000+. Just my last match, I was the only bronze, the other team had 3 gold's, the other team had 1 gold and 2 almost gold, and the other team had 2 gold.

Even in my placement matches, I've gotten to gold in season 1 and 2 and season 4 and 5 are just impossible. My teammates dragged me down to 7,000 RS and now I can't escape bronze because of this matchmaking. I helped my friend do his placement matches and he got 14,000. But since I did mine with randoms, I'm forever stuck in this. The ranked matchmaking sucks.

Even if I did win, I would gain maybe 200 RS and if I lost I would lose 800 RS.

currently it can be really inconsistent and frequently results in deaths

sometimes vaulting just stops and makes you drop again
occasionally you dont get to vault even if you try to
and other times it makes you vault when you dont want to (which can be especially problematic due to how long a vault takes and how vulnerable you are during it)

maybe allowing us to set vaulting from automatic to manual with a key press would be an option?
it would prevent accidental deaths from vaulting when we didnt intent to
manually vaulting could also be given a bigger hitbox, so its more reliable for the times you do want to vault, that way we dont faceplant a wall and get shot

please also consider making vaulting itself faster so it doesnt interrupt the flow of movement as much and isnt as dangerous as right now

I must suggest this again.
don't let players in matches where the other team is near win. i think you only take into account the time of the match (5 minutes) but not the state of the game itself. for example i found myself over and over being let in games where the other team won after 30 seconds and the platform was already almost at their base.

Cashout has too many variables that sour- if not ruin -the experience & Embark have struggled greatly to resolve its complex issues.

You don’t have the time to tinker without success for another 6 months, just accept the L (at least for now) & force more standard, structured rules.

Split the 4 teams into two 1v1s with zero reward or incentive for deviating from the assigned matchup.

Teams 1 & 2 are assigned Vault A and Cashout A, Teams 3 & 4 are assigned Vault B and Cashout B. Teams will only ever respawn within proximity of their assigned objective. No markers are provided for the opposite objectives & teams cannot interact with them. It is impossible to deposit Vault A into Cashout B.

Have teams both spawn about 50m away from their assigned Vault to give them an equal chance at getting there first. Currently one team spawns closer than the other, making the 1000$ opening unfair.

The Vaults are roughly 80m from their assigned Cashouts to:

  • keep them close enough to get the next objective started quickly
  • keep them close enough to prevent a wiped team from spawning there before the victors arrive
  • keep them far enough to prevent a single Light easily grabbing the Vault & securing the deposit

Upon one team depositing a Vault, start a timer of ~30s before the Vault belonging to the opposite matchup auto-deposits, with ownership of the Cashout going to whoever held the Vault last. This is to keep the two matchups at the same pace. Auto-deposits award 15% of the funds instead of 30%; the other 15% is simply removed from the Cashout with no team receiving it. This incentivises manual deposits without excessive punishment for failure.

Opposite Cashouts are never within 100m of one another. This reduces third-partying, intentional or not.

After first Cashout completion, team switchups mix the rivalries. Due to the 30s auto-deposit timer, the first teams to finish will never have long to wait - this also limits the amount of time they have to try to third-party.

Make Battle Passes stay. Give players the option to go back to older battle passes.

From a business standpoint this has ZERO negatives... Players are free to go back and buy previous battle passes if they like the content inside of them. This gives the opportunity to those who finished the current season's battle pass to go back and work on older ones. It gives a seemingly infinite amount of progression.

Dealing with croakers has never been a problem for me. I see them no problem. Cloakers meet model 1887 to face and die. I’m also gonna state this right now in this server. If the game mass nerfs everything this game will become no longer fun as it is filled with weak garbage. I actually quit overwatch a long time ago and marvel rivals recently for that reason. Mass nerfing is not fun. Using weak garbage is not fun. I want to feel fast and deadly not feel like I’m using a nerf gun and a pool noodle

They don't give a shit about the game anymore, either because they made enough money for the effort they put in, or their Nexon overlords told them to move on. with this message id like to introduce my opinion on the finals and why is it dying and how to fix it since i do care to this game and i played it since beta and i play every game competitvely so i hope to help giving ideas and to fix the game definetely since, it is literally diyng , first of all the game is so unballanced between guns, classes and etc. the game has to fix the damages per gun and per ability, since a light can die to most of the damages per ability in one shot, plus id like to point the movement which is very slow for the standards and gives in overall, no chance to someone to rechallenge, after the first hit you either lucky or have a better aim than the opponent, the movement would put a skill gap between this and also gives more possibiltity to move around the map but most important rechallenge someone, also id like to say that the momentum which the game movement is based on is absent, the slide fatigue even is embarassing, there is only run and the slides are useless since id slighlty speeds you up and works only over some edges. Please do not the game die and fix the fixable.

i honestly cant remember the last time i had an actual earned win or deserved loss, there is always some problem due to the 3v3v3(v3) nature
even doing it yourself, 3rd partying a team that just won doesn't feel good beyond "well, at least im the one that gets to screw someone over this time"
(especially since you knowingly punish someone for playing that would have deserved the objective)

I feel like a very large percentage of imbalance is due to people not knowing how to counter weapons, gadgets and abilities. For example there are numerous counters to cloak. You could use area damage if you can hear the cloaker but not seem them as any damage removes cloak, if you have good eyes and can see them bullets work too or thermal vision. For charge and slam the taser instantly stops them or you can dash away. As a medium facing a charge and slam user you can bait them to a glitch trap as that stops abilities and use of gadgets, to counter well hated guns let’s start with the CL40 Grenade launcher. I’m largely convinced that a large portion of those who complain about it are shield users as the weapon only holds strength with direct hits and its area damage is terrible. For the Famas you could use shield to block their bullets if they annoy you that much but again the CL40 can punish you for that. So the next best option is take advantage of the fact that the Famas body damage is awful and make your head harder to hit somehow. For shotties obviously keep your distance and for the sniper and bow close that distance somehow. Back to abilities if there is a witch claw user in the server run a shotty with high DPS to make them regret pulling you in if you cannot juke them. If there is anything else I am missing let me know but do know it will take me 30 minutes to reply

I think that making ranked RS rewards per-round instead of per-tournament might significantly reduce community animosity towards it.

Right now it's faster to lose RS than it is to gain it, and that's an inevitable consequence of a knockout tournament with ranking based on placement within that, and this idea would not only solve that but furthermore:

your RS earnings are based on the layout of the other teams at the start of the tournament, which less accurately reflects the actual difficulty that the tournament turned out to be from the player's point of view. If a high RS player is in the tournament but gets knocked out before you even fight them, you will get extra RS for a tournament actually against the same opponents and will be punished extra hard if you do fight them compared to the average actual difficulty increase. That problem would dissapear!

i personally find 5v5 better
it could feel too empty with only 2 small teams
it also puts more strain on the players as they make up 33% of each team rather than 20% for 5v5, meaning everyone has higher pressure to perform well
(there is also less negative impact of having an under performing teammate/a leaver)
you would also be less likely to face an organized stack

but even then, at least your efforts wouldn't be thrown into the wind due to a team that decided to camp, and eliminating enemies actually gets you closer to winning, rather than a 3rd team that wipes you after
it would feel a lot better either way

I get ur point, nerfing everything seems like a bad idea. But then just think abt all the heavy and med nerfs, or at least nerfs that are abt to come, and realise that after these nerfs lights will become technically more powerful (weapon wise at least) and nerfing some of their stuff will just make them on par with the already nerfed other classes.

And by the way, the prob is that u cant always see cloakers. Usually theyre standing still like gargoyles so u barely hear them which also allows them to be more invis. If theyre not adopting to that strategy, theyre still annoying cuz they have all the time they need to place their crosshair on u without being partially seen when third-partying. And then dont get me started with Stun Gun. Zero skill weapon.

There are several things due for a buff anyways. Lights are in a good position except for a few stuff, so wont need much buffing, except to their teamplay value. Meds just need a slight CL40 and Pike buff. Heavies would need buffs to their destruction and need certain nerfs reverted.

Otherwise the game's fine. Med and light are on the brink of balance.

The pike is awful in my opinion and I also have a way of dealing with cloakers who stay still. I normally run gas and fire and yeet them in corners and I’ve either killed or revealed several that way and again thermal vision also works

Please do not the game die and fix the fixable.

I wouldn’t say medium is the most balanced class in the game. The model is really the only thing that’s overpowered about medium but the class identity has been fucking slaughtered by the devs. It’s now just a generic call of duty character with utility rather than a combat medic with util that focuses on positioning and mid range in combat.

Very glad the devs decided to nerf defib and heal beam because people cried about MMM comp being good at the thing the class specializes in. Rather than realizing that was only problematic because the class wasn’t weak where it was supposed to be.

heavy for example can play as a entry damage fragger, (charge rpg) a more defensive setup (mines goo barricades) or a duelist (sa12 winch)
light can be recon (sonars and lh1/sniper) cleanup crew (matter, m11, dash) or a support (glitch tp and stun)
medium just frags and supports, with no alternative playstyles that are relatively viable. medium just needs more variety and viability to sucky stuff that doesnt fit those playstyles.

  • the only good thing they did was reinstate the ranked gamemode that shouldn't have even left in the first place (who the fuck thought of this??)
  • plug meta is unskillful and rampant
  • famas has so much DPS you're shooting yourself in the foot in high rank if you're not using it
  • lights are rampant, and not even good ones. the only reason is because of plug meta and light is the best for plug meta, so now even unskilled lights are getting higher and higher while skilled players stay down
  • why is there still SNOW
  • we want updates but instead we get reskinned cosmetics in the shop (1% chance they are original)
  • cant even find a ranked game with crossplay off, shows how dead pc side is
  • finals diehards say "game is fine its just a skill issue" in response to any criticism, and justify using their experience and theirs alone (watch someone is gonna do exactly this)
  • power shift? shifting where? NO UPDATES
  • terminal attack? oh yeah a ton of people hated that. but NO UPDATES THERE EITHER
  • want to relax? nope! every quick cash game has at least 6 lights (4 of which aren't even playing the game they're just wandering)
  • crazy server desync. sprint bug, reload bug

I personally think if Embark dial back the over-catering to Competitive/e-sport players, it will help win back some of that dwindling player counts. The balance should skew more to what makes Casuals and/or Semi-Competitive players happy and have fun, since they're the main blood supply for a healthy game. Catering too much to competitive players would just walled off new players and just create a downward spirals and endless feedback loop of Casuals/Regular players complaining about meeting the uber-sweats and Competitive players. While the Competitive players complains that there's not enough matches/teammates on their skill level or whatever (While being oblivious that their insistent whining about '''''''balance'''''' to their standard is creating the situation in the first place).

Competitive players and e-sport sweaties can and should adapt better to things, instead the other way around with Casuals or Regular players having to adapt to the results of the whine and bemoan of Competitive players. I think Embark should focus on the middle of range (semi-competitive) in terms of players skill level for balance and other stuff, It let's the casual learn and evolve to regular devoted players, strengthening player count retentions.

If this trend of over-catering to Competitive players in terms of weapon balance and loadouts balance continues, all it will do is killing the game and when/if that happen, all those Competitive players that getting oh so catered will just jump to another game to ruin like the locust they are.

The issue is that they're catering to both. Players casual and competitive alike are both quitting.

Plug meta lowers to the barrier to entry for casual players, but everyone and their mom is exploiting the fact that it's easier to boost higher and higher in the ranks without actually having to do anything. You just plug, and don't even have to fight.

This is the entire reason we have ranks. Casuals that are just introduced to competitive aren't expected to reach the top. That's just how it works. If you're at the top it's because you're good, not because you know how to plug in a vault. That's the problem with the plug meta. And that's why some sweats are actually bleeding into World Tour and Quick Cash. You could do the exact same thing, except without any consequences.

Nobody in the high ranks have ever asked for the plug meta, or any of these stupid changes. If they did, they wouldn't be leaving in droves now, would they? And now you're seeing rubies and diamonds up there who are boosted, and don't actually know what they're doing. There are tons of streamer clips and VODs that literally show people that are ruby, but have no idea what they're doing.

Ironically, it's the catering to casuals in competitive that's causing people to leave. Not the other way around. At the end of the day, ranked is competitive. It's not supposed to be casual-friendly. If you just got into ranked, expect to be low rank. If you've been improving and playing for a while, you might be up there on the totem pole. But you should never EVER not reach your full potential due to flawed game design. The mode is supposed to be hard because the people you are facing are genuinely tougher, not because they play light and all they do is plug.

Lowering the barrier to entry is good. Making the mode more friendly initially is good. Designing competitive to be more unskillful to accommodate casuals in competitive is bad. We have World Tour and Quick Cash for a reason. So if you don't want to play like a competitive player in a competitive mode, go play those instead; ranked is not for you.

If you dial back the "over-catering" you're talking about, good luck. More truly competitive players will keep leaving, and the skill level will go down even further. Can't have a competitive scene or an e-sports scene like that, can you?

But, you're right in one thing. Embark made this game centered around a game-show, therefore, we should be adapting to MORE things. It absolutely makes sense that they should make competitive modes more dynamic, versatile & random. But this meta, this balance? This isn't the way to do it.

oh and about the "theres not enough people", that's literally a population problem. i experience the same thing in power shift and in world tour

Wow a respond that actually respond, a miracle around these parts. I'd like to emphasize that when mentioning balanced I mean the universal elements of balance that exist in the game, like weapons and loadouts.

I'm not talking about modes balances whether its WT, Quick Cash, Bank-It, or Ranked, just the more universal element of it, something that affect every modes which are the weapons and loadout balances. That's the area I feel they over-cater the most to Competitive players, and need to be dialed back. It's also what I refer to when I mention that Competitive players can and should adapt to those balance priority I mentioned. I'm not trying or will talk about balance that are done to ranked mode at all, because ranked modes should obviously cater to Competitive players needs. With the caveats that it still within that universal balance I mention above; skewed more to Casuals

I've heard how bad plug meta is and do whish it something they change next season. I just want the game to be more fun focused because as you said, the whole game is about gameshow. Also Embark, please add killcam.

Chaos Event:

With this event every single event that can happen will happen all at once, but only in a specific part of the arena, and of course each event will be a bit different.

For meteor shower: Meteor Hell, all meteors happen more frequently, and do the same damage, all in a single area, but are now much larger as well.

For low gravity: Gravity Flux, the gravity will fluctuate between high and low and will start off slowly, and over time speed up. At the last 10 seconds, fall damage will be implemented in that area, at a max of 25 damage.

For Alien invasion: Mothership, one giant alien ship will beam of rubble, and after a while, will stop the rubble in place, and keep it in that place. Nearing the last 30 seconds, it will launch it all down.

For Retro Invasion: same thing as the normal retro invasion, but now the explosions date much bigger, and the aliens will shuffle back and forth in that area.

For Mega Damage: basically, the same amount of damage will be dealt to people but the arena damage will increase exponentially, and cap at a certain point, where all structures will break to 2 quick melees.

Lets get a duo mode. Amethyst tower. Register your duo, locked for the season, or split. Win matches and get your team a higher floor on the tower. Just like a tournament match, with a different objective. Maybe deathmatch. 4 team per match, each team faces another in a best of 3. Small arenas, fast rounds, and a quick match. Have respective skins like Ranked, WT. Amethyst obviously. NO SPONSORS! This game is one of the only ones ive seen actually include players into it, trophies in the practice range. Would love to see them do something like having each registered duo being their own sponsor, represented by their player cards. Would probably be meta ridden and disgusting but id hope for respective debuffs for certain gadgets ie: healbeam, barrier, portal etc. It’d bring some great interaction for the game devs and actual players, something many games lack these days. But honestly i just want pretty purple skin

Allow us to see player levels (or maybe even a stat of our choosing) next to their names, so we have an adequate idea of their skill level, much like in Call of Duty. I never know if I'm player with a new player or a vet.

Heavy :

  • Charge dmg needs to scale inversly so we stop seing to many charge crutches, its fine if it does a shit ton of dmg but at least make it scale the other way to it rewards players for doing multihits instead of being a press Q win button insta 130
  • Winch is honestly fine other than its bugs
  • Mesh needs a small buff, either too counter winch stopping people from winching through your mesh or winching you threw your mesh or a slight HP buff or decrease deactivation cost.

Light :
Buff XP-54 dmg to 17 and reduce bullets to 32

Med :
famas is too dominant atm, slight buffs to Fcar or slight nerfs to Famas but prefarably buffs

suzu spends more time on discord than playing the game. light has the smallest hitbox, can teleport around, go invisible, has the fastest RPM and reload times its just broken as a whole and annoying to play and play against.

  • Explain me why there are plenty of M and H in high elo but not so much L in this case ?
  • Having fatest rpm mean NOTHING if the TTK is not here and it's one of the prob of a Light.
  • Hitbox is just fair

No one is arguing that light sucks in comp. But usually when players talk about it like being overpowered is for casual/pubs. Lights weakness is teamwork and coordination, which rarely exists in casual and pubs. Not only do comp players never miss on light in comp, casual players miss, all the time. So not only is there no coordination, they cant hit the small hitbox moving very fast. Which is unfun to fight which leads to arguments nerfing light

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

And adding pure deathmatch(ffa) would be great addition!!!

For the game

  • Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Maybe it's lag compensation ? Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE
  • BAN CHEATERS AND TOXIC PLAYER. AND PERMA BAN !
  • Do something for the matchmaking
  • Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
  • Let us go in practice with friends please
  • Delete low gravity event. It's not fun at all.
  • Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
  • Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
  • Add a TDM mode 5v5 in small arena
  • We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
  • Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
  • Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
  • Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now
  • Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
  • Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match
  • More Limited Time Mode (LTM) in the game please or more XP event.
  • Let us use our VR for XP weapons or other things (not from me but very interresting idea !)

** For balance **

  • Buff Light survability or DPS. Light should be the DPS class but the game is always around Medium and Heavy class
  • NERF MODEL. Increase spray or decrease damage
  • If you don't wanna nerf the grenade frag damage, add an indicator or make them more visual
  • Nerf Deagle damage/range
  • Nerf Shak damage
  • Buff XP54 damage like it was !
  • NERF CHARGE'N'SLAM DAMAGE. 95 DMG is enough instead of 130
  • No more dmg on hook. It's nonsense. If hook do damage, stun gun should do too !
  • Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
  • Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charge
  • Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked
  • Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for killing you. But after get wipe by them, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
  • Remove the 5s leave. It didn't change anything

I hate when i see i have a light in my team because i know, for a fact, that they will always make the decision to thirst or throw for a kill. Will always be somewhere completely irrelevant and flames their team for whatever their own shortcomings instead of realizing games arent won 2v3. Light does suck, but it also doesnt when the person actually can play. High elo games dont see many lights bc of ttk but that doesnt mean its not outclassing every other class when you forget that one aspect. Lights have it hard, but it definitely aint a fucking reason to buff a class that has one weakness.

Since last time I yapped about my complains, we got some good changes that fixed a lot of my complains, however..

Dagger should 1-tap back stab all classes
Dagger should have a setting toggle for hold / toggle heavy animation
Evasive Dash, while powerful, is clunky in its mechanical implementation and sometimes slows you down more and applies negatively.```

Overall, Light is not in a terrible state. People's complaints as Light Mains actually are due to other classes being too powerful than Light being underpowered.

Dual Blades need a rework such as a lunge when attacking etc.
This is Speculation // I think Revolver has some hit registration issues
Zipline needs its auto/assist aim reworked so it doesn't default the floor over the wall I am looking at```

Honestly, after the defib nerfs, Medium has been in a decent spot. A few niche things are just off, but I am overall satisfied with its spot (as a medium main btw, we must recognize our bias and realize when our main getting nerfed is needed)

./ Heavy
The Winch Claw SHOULD NOT deal damage
Heavy SHOULD NOT exit Winch Animation BEFORE the victim can ever escape from being STILL ANIMATION LOCKED
Charge N Slam should deal less damage like how someone prior suggested (95 dmg instead)
The Spear shouldn't animation lock the heavy during the heavy attack
The RPG still is too much of an instant win gadget in all fights and should be reworked to total demolition, or nerfed in damage```

Obviously, you can see my distain to general Heavy shenanigans, but overall, it is in a good state with just a few standout problems that put a spotlight on this class for me with needed changes. The Light class mainly suffers from the issues with Heavy which is why people feel Light is underpowered.

Lastly, fix the animation bug where you can have the default animation for reload/tac-reload/inspect/equip de-selected, and yet it still happens when you enter a weapon animation```

Bring back recom sense in a heavily nerfed state. Make it effective up to 20 meters and every wall and prop in the way reduces the range of it by 33%. So if a target is 18 meters away and has 1 wall between you and the target, you cant see the target. If the target is 8 meters away and there is a wall and a barricade in the way, you cant see the target.

Put all the quickplay game modes into one playlist, and keep World Tour and Ranked separate.
Quick Cash, Terminal Attack, Bank It, Powershift turn into a single queue and are selected randomly by matchmaking.

Reasoning: Regions with low player counts are damned to only ever find games for quick cash. If World Tour was made front and center (as it should) while the other casual game modes were pooled into a randomiser, OCE and SA might finally be able to enjoy every game mode to an extent.

I think this is a very reasonable solution as many games already do this: rotate game modes when player counts are small.

OCE is begging for something to be done about the vicious cycle of no variety 🙏

Light doesn't sucks. I'm maining Light and I'm always to remember one thing IG : "Kills never makes you win". When I'm on my way to cashout, I oftenly see my mates rushing on others squads for no reason and fight instead of following me. Because they shoot them from far, looks it's enough to them to LEROY JENKINS them apparently... Then I cash, they die and I've to def alone the cashout. Ofc I die and then they trash talk me because for some "stupid" reason I play the objective... Objective that make us WIN instead of kills.

Ofc again, I'm not talking about fight when you have to def your cashout. It's normal and legit to fight here.

Watching the trailers again because goosebumps are cool made me think, it would be cool to have mini animated movies like overwatch used to do. I would love to see one about Scotty and how he became the most feared contestant in the game, Dede and how she rose through the ranks and the level 100s in the battle passes. It would be so cool, but I can also understand if it’s not so possible.

I'm curious to know what the community thinks about this, but in my opinion: Heavies should not be able to use the same customized crosshair they use in Hip Fire, for ADS with the Akimbo. Crosshairs are makes it much easier to land headshots. This is why there's usually an accuracy penalty in Hip Fire, but that accuracy becomes 100% when aiming. So really, Akimbos only suffer from less sensitivity during ADS. In contrast, the Medium's Revolver has the ugliest Iron Sight, or the most hated Red dot Sight.

Indeed. 230ms minimum looking at resource monitor. But, I had no problems getting kills from moving targets a week ago. Since about Thursday last week everything went to shit. I shit you not, I couldn't kill an AFK Light with an AKM from 1-2m. This is the ONLY game I get 230+ connecting to EU. All other games I get 180ms max to EU when there are no local servers.

Agree bro, you still cant kill a heavy with XP54 even if u hit all the bullets 2 headshots are must and by the time we do that a heavy spamms Sludge Hammer, MGL32 or ChargeNSlam and get a 1 Shot kill.
And for the invisibility it not even close to being good you can still see clearly any light even if they are invisible. I never saw a light teleporting in thin air, you at least need the gate way and i m pretty sure anyone can see that and follow them.

No doubt that xp54 and handgun does have high rate of fire but when it comes to killing an enemy they sucks specifically Heavies they just never Dies.
In PowerShift They way just way to buffed, so much that you wont see any opponent team playing anything other than Heavy or medium(only few)

Btw why only Heavies have 4 speciality. Lights and Medium have only 3, add 1 each for these too.

Add an option to customise crosshair for Scopes as well.

Lights movement speed should be buffed more or nerf medium movement speed ( i recommend 1st option) thats because light have very low heath and they can be easy killed by just 1 shot by almost any weapon of heavies and dont even talk about dash btw it sucks even more, it doesn't does much of increment, it doesn't looks much when you are one doing it because of effects but for opponent its equivalent to slide and of course their is not much of difference between medium and light speed.

The shak-50 is a close ranged weapon so of course its going to deal quite a bit of damage close range plus it only has 20 bullets before needing to reload. I think its fine where it is right now

This is simply not true. Xp54 is the only gun that can shred enemies? Have u tried the other guns (properly as in not firing the shotguns from 100 meters away). And light is not a scout class only, its also a stealth assassin who can go in and out and shred the enemy with guns such as the v9s, m11, or the 2 shotguns or u can chop them up with the melees. Light can also be a class that keeps a safe distance and shoots at enemies from afar using the LH1, the bow or the sniper. Light is finally in a good place in the meta where u can pick a light in ranked as a viable option now.

Yes, Xp54 is the only gun because non of the gun other than this works after 50m or 60m because they have very low damage and short range and shotgun are obviously for short ranges, but when it comes to heavy they have quiet many weapons that have very less recoid and very high damage and some of the weapons are just for spamming and many weapons can 1 shot lights, Light can't fight in long ranges or even mid range if they dont have Xp54 as they also have very low heath but when it comes to heavies they are titans they just cant die after 50 or 60m they have too much health and they also have very high damage weapons, their high health give them enough time to kill anyone in longs, btw SNIPER is useless in this game, its a fast pace game after all

recent loss of players is definitely due to server performance and overall bugs. the game just isnt reliable enough to play it on a serious level. wayyy to many bugs to have a smooth exerience. movement skillceiling is very low and the devs work actively to its benefit. destruction system has too much flaws and add randomness to a unhealthy and uncalculatable extend.

i have personally had no problems dealing with heavies as light. Do i win every encounter? Hell no. But i have shredded many heavies from afar using the lh1 or close up using the m11 or v9s. I don't even use the xp54. Heavies can be easily dealt with if u just don't rush in stupidly. Playing light is 50/50 survability and dealing damage and u have to find a balance. U will obviously die if u don't play towards any form of survivability and try to deal straight damage. Heavy is designed to tank so what's the problem with heavy hp?

I do averagely 15-25 kills with 5 or 6 death in quickcash the only time i die is by heavy using those 1 shot weapons, i m not saying because i cant kill them i do infact a lot but i hate when i dont even get a chance to try, like you spot them and that it, it over before you even press your keys.
And the fact that only played as heavy is about 2 or 3 times at max since the beta version, because they are ugly and they have some really overpowered weapons, to put it simply i like to be fast

Hammer isn't strong, m11 is a good pick but nowhere near op, hook is fine, v9s needs a slight buff, lh1 needs a light nerf, sa1216 can't really be nerfed at all without it become useless, ks23 could use a potential buff, model is fine though still strong, pike does need a buff, fcar does not need a buff it's already stronger than akm and you saying that it does is a huge self report.

I had a world tour yesterday where I made it to the final round. During the final round, they won the first slot and had slotted the second box. It was 0$ to 25,000$. I went to go steal this second slot and the moment I fully stole it, they were given another 25k and the game ended saying the opponents won. wtf happened? Was this a Glitch or was this an exploit? I kept getting the red circle thing with the 3 bars stuff. I can play rocket League with 10 ping constantly (the highest being 12 ping) but for some reason the finals bugs out and causes me to do poorly my shots don't register and, and when they do the enemy magically one taps me with the XP54 somehow.

10 ping? you must be practically next door to a highly populated server, that's insanely low

red circle is your latency though and that's not under embark's control really, in order to not get that there must be many other people matchmaking geographically near you at the time that you look for a match, otherwise you can't reliably be on a nearby server regardless of whether one is nearby or not. But still it will be quite location based.

to those who call for the m14 to be nerfed, please note that while on paper it is very strong:
a. its main power comes from its 2x hs mult, and headshots are much harder to land than you think, not everyone will be landing constant headshots (or even bodyshots for that matter) on you 24/7, and if they are, maybe its time to consider that your movement may be the underlying issue instead
and b. its also on the class with the lowest health pool, making them reliant on high mobility and high damage weaponry to be a relevant threat. light also gets completely hosed when focused by the team, regardless of the weapon they are using (this point also applies to all other light weapons)

In Ranked, you should only be able to see your own seed imo. Only in the final round should you be able to see your opponents seeding - otherwise it has adverse effects on the game (avoiding and/or targeting teams despite logical macro strat)

I’ve been using the R.357 and after you body-shot a light two times, it leaves them with 2hp left. My suggestion is to change the damage to make it 2 shot lights and not having to 3 shot it in the body.

Respawn:
Another suggestion that I have is to get rid of the wave and last-second respawn that were introduced in season 5. You can team wipe two teams and the first one could take 20 seconds and the second could be 5 seconds. They should both be punished and be the same amount of time.

Grenade Launcher:
Also an option that I have is to give the Grenade launcher a nerf since you can just spam its splash damage at people.

A problem I found a lot in quick match is after a teamwipe occurs at a cashout the 3rd team just comes in and kills the other team giving them easy kills and an easy steal before the teams can even return to defend. I suggest if a single team wipes an entire team by themselves they should get 50% health back

Defib is just a fundamentally broken gadget in the context of the respawn mechanics in tournaments.

There is a direct correlation between match wins and revives, so the gadget that makes you able to revive more will have a direct correlation with win probability.

Pretty much the only reason to have a heavy on your team is to tank bullets. If there’s no heavies in a tournament it literally makes zero sense not to go triple medium defib.

I also get hate from other players for not using defib, so my experience in the game is negatively affected by two-fold.

Honestly deleting defib or seriously overhauling it to all but guarantee the failure of a bad revive is the straightest path towards balancing the three classes.

It will make you an easy target. It will remove the small tech of grabbing goo canisters to guarantee survival but this will make defib a much weaker pick for mediums. Let me know your thoughts with an ⬆️ or ⬇️

hm i find it kinda funny that you can be caught by a heavy spamming goo as a light. Most heavies cant really goo to the point where you cant escape, especially against a light. Goo also isnt a complete stun like it was pre powershift. You will get pushed out of goo slowly and typically in the direction you were initially moving at. Plus heavies are limited in their combat ability while gooing people since they break out of each p quickly so at the very least you should be able to escape unless youre backed up in a corner. Overall, unless youre making your claims after meeting an absolute freak of a goo gun heavy, if youre consistently caught and killed or stopped with goo gun, all i can really say is: you might wanna look at your movement and approach when engaging or escaping in fights. As a light you really shouldnt be getting caught

For non combat actions like stealing or reviving. Shit just happens. The same thing will happen if he charge n slams you, or winches, or RPG, or grenade, or SA12. P much every combat related action from a heavy will fuck you up since youre 150hp. Maybe try killing the heavy first? Or dont steal as light if there are enemies still around.

Last thing. The stun gun is an actual stun that allows you to use your weapon while a person is stunned so its far more powerful on an individual vs a goo gun. Plus it also shuts down specializations and has great range so weapons like LH1 can fully exploit its usage. Goo gun can only suppress movement (something you should be excelling at) and has the added annoyance of blocking shots if not carefully placed (preferably on the legs). Also in my experience, I have rarely met (i can count them on one hand) heavies that are able to goo others in the feet in one shot consecutively. More often than not, they waste extra shots trying to get the range and proj speed right, which often results in either an easy escape, or an easy kill since they block themselves

I main light - I do not really struggle against heavy with goo gun when I'm playing light but I also do not solely play light.
I also have team mates who struggle against goo when they do not have the mobility to counter or the CC to attempt to simply deny the stun lock in the first place. all of this though is not my point.

My point is that no other class in the game has a gadget or specialization with that sheer amount of utility that goo gun has while also literally not having a cool down time.

it feels like goo gun is and always has been in this very weird spot where it's either infuriating to go up against or people just do not take the time to learn to use it because of the easier to understand and generally less harsh skill curve specializations like charge, claw or shield.

I think some kind of rework could benefit the goo gun and the heavy class overall by further diversifying the heavies potential in a way that doesn't feel like straight up cheese.

ah i was typing an analysis on the goo guns placement and whether its balanced but honestly its gonna be an essay so ill just sum it up quickly. Youre right that it has really good utility over most gadgets and specializations but a major weakness is its commitment to passive and semi permanent defense (cant dome to initiate, cant mesh to push, cant reverse unless you destroy every piece blocking an entrance) along with its lack of immediacy (not like barricade or goo nade in defense or estabilishing walkable platforms/handholds, or the demat in altering terrain). It also lacks in skirmishes or engagement (if youre the attacker) vs something like the winch (more commonly used on high elo) for its capability to isolate individual players and forcefully move them. Its good when playing the slow game but once things are fast against teams that have high game tempo and coordination, you'll find that the goo gun is a bit too much of a thing to be that effective.

I think its in a relatively good spot for now. I wont call it a cheese either, but it can certainly feel that way in some situations like the elevator cashbox, though i consider that a major game design flaw rather than something wrong with the goo gun (who tf wants to fight in an elevator)

Honestly a great point.
I guess adding any sort of CD to it would only make it even worse against faster paced matches and honestly maybe I'm just frustrated because it does tend to be such a rare pick that it just feels more difficult to react to on the few occasions it actually shows up (especially when you're up against someone who has probably put hundreds of hours into it).

and yeah elevator cash outs are definitely an issue in and of themselves lol I hate them. A LOT of things feel cheesy when it comes to fighting elevator cashouts. In my opinion, it doesn't feel as thought out as most other environments in the game but that is definitely 100% more related to the behavior of the infrastructure of the elevators rather than any particular gadget, weapon or specialization.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

its been a couple of patches after the spawn changes and you still haven't addressed or reverted them so the devs think they're good now? what a joke, it really does seem like they made these changes, because people used to wait for the enemies to respawn before depositing the box. that had very little impact at the gameplay but now u punish the team which wins the first fight.
theres no communication back from the team, no notes of what they think or are working on. it all adds to the frustration when it feels like nothing is being fixed or even thought about.

Hey guys, i just found something.
If you want more fps and stable performance turn off the steam overlay from setting, obviously if u r playing from steam i got about 10 - 14fps jump and game doesn't stutter anymore on my gtx 1650 laptop and also use TSR with 67-83 %, tsr has almost no flickering that we see with fsr and taau if u look closely

And if it look blurry to you, go to nvidia game filters and use sharp with 50 % ignore grain and 80% sharp

I agree with the charge n slam doin a lot of damage, but I disagree with the fact that the flamethrower is toxic or is a zero skill weapon. The fact is, other weapons have a lot more range, so you gotta play in those advantages and try your best to avoid situations where you are in close range danger zones. I do think the charge and slam seems to do quite a bit. I cannot quite recall the cooldown, but when all the benefits combine from the knockback, destruction, and damage, the charge n slam seems quite strong. I find a lot of heavies using it as a 'panic button' of sorts instead of fighting with it more offensively. I guess the heavies i have encountered are just playing the ability wisely but I cant help but to feel more powerless to a charge n slam than I feel is necessary. More importantly, i heard that server tick rate in the finals is much lower than other games, and to me it feels like it shows. Bias in me emphasizes when I do experience no regs and such, but I feel like something like that is very frustrating. I do commonly play dagger, so I assume a combination of both no regs, and what seems to be an ambiguous hitbox created much more frustration when my plays are high risk high reward.

Lower the max damage of the frag grenade too 140. Increase the pyro grenades damage by 5 or 10. Make it so when the gas from a gas grenade stops being toxic gas, it will dissipate and shrink over 2 or 3 seconds dealing less and less damage over time and having a smaller radius.

Embark stated that majority of players main light loose, while minority of players who main heavy win. They want to try and create a balance between the classes and choices.

Plus, I am a flamethrower main when I play heavy and often loose while trying to close distance or just get out DPS’d. the flamethrower requires A LOT of skill to master, but is a very strong ‘noob weapon’ as you put it. I also see a vast majority of heavies running akimbos, Lewis, M60, Shak and spears. The flamethrower is one of those weapons where people don’t know how to counter it, but is extremely easy to counter. I believe you are yapping because of a skill issue. If it’s that good, use it.

The ranking system in this game is shocking. how can you put a really low level RS team against higher ranked ones. Thats clearly double yours. As its based over a 3 person team. Example, Your team is only 12,000 RS against most teams that are 35,000+RS team. Where is the balance ? I am always stuck with a team thats so low. I am losing games like its going out of fashion. I cant get better at the game if I'm stuck in low level teams most of the time :/

Cashout has too many variables that sour- if not ruin -the experience & Embark have struggled greatly to resolve its complex issues.

You don’t have the time to tinker without success for another 6 months, just accept the L (at least for now) & force more standard, structured rules.

Split the 4 teams into two 1v1s with zero reward or incentive for deviating from the assigned matchup.

Teams 1 & 2 are assigned Vault A and Cashout A, Teams 3 & 4 are assigned Vault B and Cashout B. Teams will only ever respawn within proximity of their assigned objective. No markers are provided for the opposite objectives & teams cannot interact with them. It is impossible to deposit Vault A into Cashout B.

Have teams both spawn about 50m away from their assigned Vault to give them an equal chance at getting there first. Currently one team spawns closer than the other, making the 1000$ opening unfair.

The Vaults are roughly 80m from their assigned Cashouts to:

  • keep them close enough to get the next objective started quickly
  • keep them close enough to prevent a wiped team from spawning there before the victors arrive
  • keep them far enough to prevent a single Light easily grabbing the Vault & securing the deposit

Upon one team depositing a Vault, start a timer of ~30s before the Vault belonging to the opposite matchup auto-deposits, with ownership of the Cashout going to whoever held the Vault last. This is to keep the two matchups at the same pace. Auto-deposits award 15% of the funds instead of 30%; the other 15% is simply removed from the Cashout with no team receiving it. This incentivises manual deposits without excessive punishment for failure.

Opposite Cashouts are never within 100m of one another. This reduces third-partying, intentional or not.

After first Cashout completion, team switchups mix the rivalries. Due to the 30s auto-deposit timer, the first teams to finish will never have long to wait - this also limits the amount of time they have to try to third-party.

Bit of a rant about netcode affecting movement: Can we have the movement of the open beta again? The movement changes from release made the game feel a lot more muddy and unfun - I know its been a year but like a lot of people fell in love with that movement (me included) and i miss it a lot. im sure a lot of the people who left do too. Though the movement changes are apparently unfounded, I feel the changes from the closed beta a bit anti-fun, and the game since open beta has felt more muddy (perhaps due to netcode changes that possibly could've happened) - there are a lot of issues with desync in THE FINALS. This game, though a netcode technical marvel of today, still needs a lot of optimization in terms of its netcode. Getting shot through walls, having the inputs feel muddy, having clambering not work sometimes and bullets not register, makes for an unfun experience and makes the game feel slower and unfair

I basicly only play powershift but lately there are cheaters in almost every round and it is really draining the fun out of the game. Especially wallhacks seem to have skyrocketed. I play a casual game mode to have fun not to grind through a light sitting on crane with lh1 headshoting ppl in spawn from 110 meters away.

also pls fix the hit registration on sledgehammer. it is still inconsistent. Also sometimes after swapping to sledge the weapon shows the wrong attack-animation (i.e. normal animation in a heavy hit and heavy animation on light hit (i have a clip of this if it helps))

and pls change the invis shader to be also sightly visible while sitting still. The "Rat" playstyle of sitting still with invis and waiting with stungun to instantly kill a heavy does not feel fun or fair to play against.

i think stungun needs a nerf in terms of stun duration and cooldown. 25% uptime on a stun that disruptive is whay to much. Having a stunduration that long leaves no room to defend. Even when avoiding the instant kill by dodging with barricade or jump pad, the stun leaves enough time to reload and follow up in a still stunned target.
Almost every light has run this gadget in the last few seasons. Its time for a change.

pls put bullet drop on sniper. or just remove the gun from the game entirely. Its not fun to play against, nor is it fun to have a sniper as a teammate. This game is team-based and should not have a weapon that avoids teamplay.

PLs fix goo interactions(all of these are not consistent issues but happen frequently enough to be anoying (to give a number roughly 2-4 bugs a game)):

  • goo from googun getting stuck mid air after an enemy that is was attached to runs out of it
  • goo from googun attaching to new geometry after losing contact to a attached player instead of disappearing
  • dash being available to players stuck in goo bevor the goo is fully gone
  • goo shots from googun not attaching to players
  • goo instantly decaying after being attached to a piece of rubble (even when it does not cause collisions with other entities(i have a clip of this if it helps))
  • goo from googun not attaching to players using charge´n slam while the ability is active (it only attaches while the player using charge´n slam is in the air)

pls change the bamboo forest part of Kyoto. I have not met a single player that does not hate at least this specific part of the map. Adding a building or just simple destructible cover like a wooden fence would really help this part of the map.

honestly,... no. The thing that I find the most interesting in the finals is the fact that you are free to do whatever. Something about having clashes on different sides of the map, or close to each other, or at random, is what makes The Finals, The Finals. working on a better respawn location, is surely something that has to be done for a ton of reasons. But the way you are assigning teams to cashout is just bringing The Finals back to the all the other FPS. if we follow your suggestions, how will the round be different than just having 2 teams on the map? how will it defer from the usual "plant/defuse" theme of the countless other games? just that the team can respawn and that you can re-steal, is not much of a difference. Thank you. The Finals is a fresh FPS, and they truly made it less likely to have a third party, but more than that, just stop trying to standardize the Finals into all the other games ❤️

game feels amazing, i like the idea of being able to destroy everything you see and make plays noone is thinking you will do. Gunplay feels smooth, movment is perfected and i would recomend the game to anyone BUT. Game has a big cheater problem, people are even cheating in WT or QC, it takes months until they get banned which makes me regret buying anything from the shop. Matchmaking is like a bipolar friend, you either get semi competent players or total noobs that don't know what a zipline is, not to mention that it's possible to start a WT match with groups not being full (unaccaptable). The way ranked work is unfair, you can have the worst team mates that can't even get 1 kill, you will get 11 and get 1-2 cashouts but still loose 1k point's so you can feel that your skill means nothing.

Don't wait until next season, do it tomorrow. Lower the cost to buy gear in the loadout section, or let them unlock more with tokens or something earned.

• Change XP-54 falloff distance from 20-30m back to 15-25m
• Change XP-54 falloff modifier back to 65%
• Increase XP-54 body shot damage from 16 back to 18

XP-54 wasn’t overpowered even prior to the 4.0.0 nerf. The only reason it had a high pick rate was because it was a simple generalist weapon and one of the few weapons good enough to keep using into even really high ranks. Even without the 4.0.0 nerfs to XP-54, Light was still the worst of the three classes, and it still doesn’t overshine the LH1 even now.

There is basically zero reason to use the XP-54 whatsoever after its nerfs, even with the compensation buffs. It’s inferior to M11 in close range and LH1 in anything except close range.

Chaos Event:

With this event every single event that can happen will happen all at once, but only in a specific part of the arena, and of course each event will be a bit different.

For meteor shower: Meteor Hell, all meteors happen more frequently, and do the same damage, all in a single area, but are now much larger as well.

For low gravity: Gravity Flux, the gravity will fluctuate between high and low and will start off slowly, and over time speed up. At the last 10 seconds, fall damage will be implemented in that area, at a max of 25 damage.

For Alien invasion: Mothership, one giant alien ship will beam of rubble, and after a while, will stop the rubble in place, and keep it in that place. Nearing the last 30 seconds, it will launch it all down.

For Retro Invasion: same thing as the normal retro invasion, but now the explosions date much bigger, and the aliens will shuffle back and forth in that area.

For Mega Damage: basically, the same amount of damage will be dealt to people but the arena damage will increase exponentially, and cap at a certain point, where all structures will break to 2 quick melees.

Kyoto has significantly more optimization issues than any other map in the game. genuinely makes the game feel like its developed by amateur's. it should at least be removed from ranked or tournament modes until its fixed

Dear Embark,
I love your game but there's a couple of things that really sour the experience lately. The performance issues, server erros are a real issue rn and I sincerely hope that this will be fixed this week. I will also yet again point out that crucial options are still missing in the private lobby menu, basic features that other games have. I would also enjoy not having to play Kyoto for a while. If there's performance issues it is mostly there and I find it generally unenjoyable. Especially the pavilion part of it. Also could you please add the countdown back in on the bracket overview? I never know whether the game died or whether I actually have to wait. Last but not least, please let us leave without getting punished if there's 1 person less on the team. No matter the mode. It's especially excruciating if it's on maps like suspended structures on Kyoto.

Large, destructible maps with multiple players

In-Depth Explanation: Large maps with quite a few players. The game starts off with PVP off and everyone without weapons. As the game progresses, different disasters will start happening, such as tornadoes, meteor showers, earthquakes, etc. Half way through the match, PVP will be enabled and you can find weapons in buildings. Close to the end of the match, a bunker will be pinged, with a few keycards scattered around the map. There are not enough keycards for everyone so people will have to fight for them. After about a minute or less the bunker will be unlocked and the players with keycards will have to make their way to the bunker and get in. The players who do not make it in time will be wiped out with an atomic bomb going off in the distance.

Not really feedback but I think it would be so awesome, and could draw lots of new players to the game.

I repeat, there is nothing wrong with this game! The only good thing is the game itself as an idea and beauty of the game, but ruined by this whole terrible experience.

it already does do more damage for the longer you fall and that isnt the problem. its that in a close range fight you just press Q and do 130 damage at minimum. I main heavy and its just annoying to get into a fight bubble properly get them low just for them to press q bc they ran out of bullets and win the fight bc i had less than 130 health. It should just be that you have to hold the button for like 1 -2 seconds before it starts. but tbh the main problem i see right now isnt balance its the horrible net code that is like 300% worse bc im in oce and play on ping bc i want to play ranked. idk what they have to do to fix it but something has to be done. ive never had as many server related issues as ive had this season and ive played sine open beta. i understand the occasional no reg due to ping and stuff like that but god dam even the people in na i play with for ranked have full famas bursts seem like blank rounds or other issues like that. please for the love of god just fix the net code before anything else.

I want to continue to shit on ranked/wt as modes because you can play well for the whole round up until the last cashout and lose because of it. You got the first 2 cashouts both deposited and held them? Well guess what, purple team did the same, has 1k more than you, and then they defend orange’s final double stack and you lose because of it. You could realistically win whole tournaments even if you play like shit just by being lucky with how the other teams interact with cashouts and it feels incredibly unfair

Average North American player that doesn't have to deal with the struggle of low population. OCE literally only has 2 game modes. We have to put a ridiculous amount of effort in to even find a single World Tour match. I'm all for this being an Oceania and South America specific feature (or just toggles on for any region when population/game mode diversity is low enough. If the casual game modes were pooled into one playlist, we would actually get to experience the rest of the game, and maybe people looking for a consistent The Finals experience would queue World Tour (it's better quick cash with rewards).

Most games with low population do this, and you saying that it is an awful idea is likely coming from a perspective of blissful ignorance to the situation in other regions.

Telling us to "just set your region to Asia or NA" is a 3 IQ take, because 1st of all that's what we are all doing already, and 2nd of all we are absolutely sick and tired of having to play other regions and deal with hackers and high ping to get rewards.

What do you think is more important:
Casuals playing quick cash and power shift get low ping games for competitive integrity
Dedicated Ranked and World Tour players get low ping games for competitive integrity.

The answer seems pretty obvious to me.

matchmaking for ranked classes should be queue based. With a custom setting for tweaking and to separate desired teams comps

There's still no system protecting players from players who leave ranked lobbies or afk players.

It's mildly annoying to have to play a game with 2 or less teammates every other game knowing the game is a loss, but you can't leave.

Both the sword's inherent range on the lunge and distance travelled has been nerfed resulting in a 1.5m drop in range with a 0.55m nerf compared to S3 sword. The issue isnt really the movement forward, but the length of the sword being half a meter shorter. It results in side stabbing and multi-hitting being much harder while also being clipped by the weird ass speed change (s4 changed the speed of the lunge to be faster to accompany the increase in range. But when the range was changed, the speed seems to remain the same, which results in p janky movement especially when trying to chain your movement into a slide. Your player model will just glitch out on the ground.)

Additionally, the range is now so short that the left click is somehow longer than the lunge. I know what people will say, "oh the dash from the lunge doesnt make the range nerf that significant". IT DOES. You cant alter your direction and altitude when lunging, youre basically committing to a singular direction to do damage which can make you very easy to catch and kill. Side stabbing was essential to the sword since you were so squishy, lunging at an angle and clipping someone with the sword. But now you have to directly attack someone if not you'll just miss (ironically you can still do this with the normal). You literally have to be in their fucking soul to do damage.

I do want to say this to all sword players out there who say "I was destroying but now im getting destroyed" though: Youre not a very good sword player if the disparity is this big plus its likely your playstyle is shitting out all those dashes and having a seizure with the lunge, which is exactly what caused this nerf in the first place. Get your fundamentals and combo execution down and you can still perform well. My point is that the nerf has made the sword into a horrible feeling weapon while making players who want to do well on it sweat p hard to make a gameplay impact

I am here once again to provide feedback. Here is my list:

Heavy

  1. Nerf C&S Damage.
  2. Buff Winch a bit.
  3. Maybe Buff Mesh Shield HP (or consume less when turning it off)
  4. Decrease lockbolt aoe (so that people can't go to narnia despite being lockbolted).
  5. Goo Gun alt fire, maybe like 4-6 goo blocks per shot. It needs some love
  6. Spear also needs some love. Maybe the ability to cancel alt fire.

Medium

  1. Buff AKM Damage
  2. Nerf FAMAS, maybe a slight recoil change?
  3. Revolver buff. Bullet dispersion is cheeks.
  4. Put intervals to turrets shooting/Give it an ammo count, maybe buff HP to even it out.
  5. New Gadget: Stim Charge, when shot on an ally gives temporary hp(or like a shield, 35-50hp) and movement speed. When shot on an enemy, slows their movement speed and decays their hp(same amount). Lasts 4-6 seconds & 14s CD

Light

  1. M11 nerf (damage fall off)
  2. XP buff
  3. Nerf gateway distance.
  4. LH1 nerf.
  5. New Gadget: Switcheroo, a gun that switches the user and the targets places. Displacement tool that encourages playing together. (Can also work on the cashbox, Distance 5-10m)

Bring Back/QoL/Others:

  1. Bring back the activatable turrets, maybe an event during WT (would've been great for vaiiya imo)
  2. Bring back other WT events (team shields after plugin, etc)
  3. Bring back Contract Reroll. I'm not gonna stop w/ this.
  4. Ways to spend VRs.(Contract Rerolls, Exp Boosts, Cosmetics, etc.)
  5. TDM mode (reskin snowball fight)
  6. Remove numbers from Cosmetics. It was cool the 1st time, now it's just cringe.

Np. I can honestly see both sides of the argument when it comes to sword. In a 1v1 engagement, it doesnt FEEL fair to fight against someone who can effectively 2 hit you while you spin in circles. Especially when that person is using up dashes like most sword players. But they also need to understand that you should try not to take such an engagement if you know theres a half decent sword player. Its a team game and you should play as a team instead of getting caught out in an inherently disadvantageous situation. There are so many counters to the sword it actually boggles my mind how people dont just adapt to the situation. And this isnt even the full length of the counters too. I can type a goddamn essay on how to shit on sword lights. For you @woeful hill I think the servers might also have something to do with why swords might be feeling p bad esp with the tick rate being abysmal, so you can be clipped and killed through walls and doors or have people shoot you even though youre clearly behind them. Also, when i mean combos, i mean the mix of lunge/normal/qm to hit certain breakpoints on people to ensure you either get the kill quick, or have your teammates finish them off, like lunge+qm to instakill lights. The gadgets p much stay the same in terms of usage as it did back in s3 and s4. S5 introduces grav vortex, which can be an interesting way of isolating and splitting teams apart to get more favorable fights

A new 5v5 Cashout mode would be cool I have many friends I want to play with together but we can't because of the 3v3v3 format which is fun but another Cashout format would be great. I know there is powershift and encryption mode but everytime we queue for those we are put against emerald players while we're just 5 friends trying to chill out, even if that's a matchmaking issue Cashout is still more fun than any other mode in the game specially for casual players like us who just want to play a good game and not get shredded after every 5 steps we take on the map.

Hope a dev sees this suggestion...

If nothing else at least fix the matchmaking so everyone can play in peace.

fix the spawns please. when a squad is wiped they spawn closer to the objective wether its the vault or cashout. This ends up punishing the squad that won the fight. If i win the fight I should be the one rewarded right? as it stands its better to wipe and spawn 30m away from the cashout than it its to win your team fights. Why are you punishing teams for winning their fights? The same issue appears when defending a cash out, if my team starts a cash out and we still hold it we should spawn closer to it if we wiped but instead the defending team spawns 100m away and the attacking team spawns 30-60m away. In my most recent game I had a squad spawn less than 30 meters away from our cashout and steal it because we did not expect them to spawn ON THE CASHOUT. Whatever you did to the spawns needs to be reverted immediately.

This game has difficulty attracting and holding players because its apparent identity is annoying tactics that don't mesh with a fast paced destruction based game. Losing agency or getting sniped from an unidentifiable pixel across the map while you're dealing with flamethrowers, swords, invisible enemies able to ADS and start shooting while invisible, third partying, etc. The game isn't making any serious attempts at being competitive. It's just trying to be "fun", in a wacky chaotic kind of way.

"High Elo WT, RK " and "Quick cash" are two different game .
In high Elo RK only range weapon are playable except some heavy build, especially for solo player. Medium and long distance fire is main situation to fight.
In "quick cash" a lot of player just fight in 5 meter away and complain " how the fxcking sword and sledge too OP ". NO! the truth is you're noob, you can't use Fcar or R357 efficiency so you just complaining.
The player complain AR, hand gun and LMG should have priority to buff definite is noob, the truth is all the melee weapons need some buff or do some change to make close distance fight more powerful in standard cash mode, and most of inaccuracy weapons like CL40 and MGL32 need buff.

Stun gun and C&S need some tweak, those destroy all melee gameplay.
Maybe nerf stun duration, nerf C&S first hit damage, and make goo and barricade can stop the slam.

Grenade need notification.

Thermal vision need to remove.

Some position need more cover.

As soon as the defib goes off, there will be a revive
Even if it takes a few seconds for them to come in, you cant prevent it
And since you will be low from fighting the defib medium and likely out of ammo, this just means you will have to retreat or die trying to secure the kill you should have gotten in the first place

It is "fine" as is right now, but it could have been solved better imo

The half hp+no gadgets/specials puts a lot of problems on the revived, who may not have wanted to be revived, and may just end up dying again anyways if left behind by the medium

The better solution would have been to make the defibs preventable in the first place (by shooting the holograms)
But having the revived appear at full hp with all abilities, should you fail to stop it

Me and my friend just Q’d for a ranked match. After a couple minutes we stopped the Q for ranked and started a Q for a world tour match. Found a game of world tour super quick. When we got into the game we discovered we were in a ranked match. My teammate wasn’t in my game and when he finally got to reconnect to the game me and my teammates screen went back and said waiting for other contestants to connect. Me and my teammate were stuck in this screen for like 2 minutes. I was still able to shoot my gun and be shot at. After that we both closed our game to reconnect to the ranked match. And to my surprise I was in a world tour match when I reconnected. Can someone please look into this. Me and my teammate had to leave a random in ranked all alone and he probably lost so much RS for this.

Let us buy wepon animations whenever we want, like how it is for wepon skins. Cuz it sucks having to wait for the animations to get put on the store and usually there are there isn't any animations for the gun u would want them for. @golden berry just turn cross play off. Don't u think abt freinds who both dont play on console or pc? If u hate going against pc players just turn off cross play.

tbf getting resed by a medium who just leaves u or puts u in a bad spot is just the ability being used wrong and the state its in now plays very well, you have to think instead of just sending it in horrible situations. and your better solution would just be crazy unless they increased the hologram length by a decent amount, the defib is meant to be a res that you dont have to stick and thats where it is now. in the state its in you have to think and coordinate and thats exactly how it should be.

Winch claw didnt get a buff, they just fixed an issue where an opponent who is vaulting couldn't be pulled soo dont get too happy its still the same.

The slower fire rate would make it harder to hit fast moving targets(like the FAMAS or Akimbo Deagles) but like the Deagles the slow fire rate provides MUCH lower recoil so it's easier to land your shots when you're in it's ideal range.

i dont know if this has been said before, if I as a diamond que with a gold/plat player my rank gain is less than theirs, they'd gain about 1,5x more RS than me. But i think currently it's a blanket multiplier to gain/loss too since they also lose 1,5x more RS on 7/8 compared to me as the higest rs player. This makes no sense to me and think it's probably unintended

I think TA is actually more fun for a serious/ranked game mode, but feel it should let equipment regen.
Some grenades/consumables are too disadvantaged to be worth it, while retrievable utilities like jump pad/barracades/motion sensors are even more powerful than they were designed to be.

The only way to make things even again is to give the regen timers back (though i'd be fine with increasing the duration required to match the mood of TA).

Also, if you can't heal/revive in TA then Medium needs alternate options for those tools, as they're too central to it's design to take them away without adding something to offset it.

Ally fire rate/reload buff (heal beam) or ability/gadget insta-refill (defib) would be good alternatives.

Its probably healthy for the game to have a few less brainpower intensive more casual modes like 5v5 quick cash indeed. The community has been calling for CTF for a while now. And 5v5 quick cash would certainly scratch that itch, while at the same time providing a learning experience surrounding cashout assault and defence. The game is probably not entirely balanced around that, but that is fine really. It works in powershift so I see no problem why 5v5 quick cash wouldnt work. Its probably a game changer on the casual side of the game where more people would stick around because of the more direct and streamlined gamemode while being the easiest to understand version of the cashout format.

FAMAS really should have a 30rnd mag.
The whole point to it as a burst weapon now is to bridge the gap between the Pike and the FCAR/AK by giving better hipfire ability (3x burst is a mini/pseudo shotgun at hipfire thanks to the inaccuracy/bloom) but it's so easy to dodge the bursts as a light or medium thanks to the timing that it's better go go with the Pike every time.

FCAR's still over-nerfed as well.
It should have been either/or on the nerfs (damage from 26 down to 22 a shot, OR much worse recoil pattern, not both).
Personally, I'd have preferred to see it keep the 26dmg a shot but have a fire rate reduction instead of the heavyhanded recoil nerf atop the damage nerf.
577rpm down to 488rpm would have been plenty to make up for it's power per shot.

New people just don't understand the game and get frustrated - and the tutorials are way too basic. I think there should be a boot camp where videos show how to utilize gadgets and all their different use cases properly. And then a Bootcamp on Macro strategy with a few key scenarios layed out especially. Nothing Dev intense - just really good content. If you want to make it better could even be more like E-Learning where you have a multiple choice answer and then the scenario is played out according to your choice and it becomes clear whether you were right or wrong

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.

In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

I don't know who's dumb idea this was but revert the QuickCash respawn mechanics completely. This new thing is atrocious. Do not butcher this game mode to appeal to dumb COD like light players. Create a TDM game mode so they can go play there. Stop ruining game modes for the sake of fast paced sweaty TDM players. This game is about objective. Strategizing and team play. Ngl, this season has been a major disappointment so far especially when it comes to patches. December had two major FPS releases and Embark has basically gone dark after dropping this season. I understand going on holiday and everything but it's still not healthy for the game. There were no balancing changes, power shift maps, cashout reworks or even just bugfixes (no sprint / shoot bug are still in the game by the way). So neither the casual playerbase nor the competitive one got anything. Can't imagine how their planned major will turn out if they continue like this.

I don't know if it is intended this way, but it feels counterintuitive and wrong. If you try to grab a cashbox, you need to be with the center of your screen on the cashbox. It's different to other carriables. You can be 1 pixel off the cashbox and grab a 50cm away positioned carriable instead, because you don't need to be on it, other than with the cashbox.

@naive tusk the healing bomb had been suggested many many time... but it was always suggested for the medium as a gadget that could replace the heal beam, just like the vanishing bomb could replace the invisibility cloak.

@upper tangle resetting the regen timer is done by everything literally. Why would why throw a reset bomb when I can shoot a single bullet or any other grenade.

@naive gust that's why not everything the community nags about gets done. They have tons of statistics from every and every player that they use.

@haughty totem I think everything is fairly balanced. Few things can be tweaked, especially the new weapons. But they're giving it more time to get more data, I think a major balancing wave will come in the mid-season update.

@quartz dirge light is not the worst class. Players who play with Lighy are the worst players. A good player can be heaven on a team when they play as a team. But most lights don't. Also, when we say light is op, it s not because we have skill issues, it s because you can't do anything against an invisible light hiding in a corner who would taze you as soon as you turn your back and obliterate you, once, twice, and again, and again, for the whole power shift round.

@bold moth @granite agate i m ginna say this in caps so that all people see it: BODY TYPES IN THE FINALS ARE NOT FOR AESTHETICS, THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL. 1) it s crucial that you are able to identify a player s class at quick glance. Any variety would make this very difficult. 2) one if the pillars of the classes is that heavies have large hitboxes, and lights have smaller ones. It doesn't make any sense to have a thin heavy and a large light.

the match making feels even more punishing for being decent at the game than the vile shit the COD cooks up. it does not matter what game mode I play, I always get paired up with some bozo whos never played an FPS in his life. You cannot "they will never listen", they always listened and always fixed accordingly. Of course not all requests will go through, cz some are ridiculous regardless of how many approve it. But I agree that this season the team is a bit deaf on the community. I give them until the midseason update to give a good update and start listening again to the community.

The answer is to play ranked if you want any sort of “tighter” matchmaking. The casual modes are not meant to have strict matchmaking, because it’s casual - it SHOULD be random. I find ranked solo queue to honestly be a blast (despite popular sentiment otherwise) since my games are usually pretty close and honestly a ton of fun win or lose (I’m mid-plat rn for context, 36000rs).

Its worth trying ranked if you’re tired of casual/loose matchmaking

Re Gyro Aim; So there is some compensation that happens on the Sony side for very slow movement, but the “Smoothing” option exacerbates the issue. I believe it has to do with the temporal averaging algorithm time being too long, so the tails intrude on aim.

The most effective fix would be the smoothing algo tail being shortened or having some kind of exponential weighting.

XP-54 needs red dot. If LH1 can have the dot, any weapon meant for closer ranges should get it too. The recoil is manageable currently, but the lower zoom would help a lot.

PLEASE NEEF THE DUEL BLADES FOR MEDIUM! Why do I shoot 40 bullets and it blocks 38 of them and does damage to me? Going up against that is insane. I shot 70 rounds with the m60 and only 5 shots passed the blades and he had more than 3/4 health still. How does that work?

Oh 100%. It is insane the amount of high level streamers are using recoil scripts and blatant cheats. NEVER get banned even with clipped evidence. Boosted, HIGH elo players are cheating constantly and praised by the simp player base. It is out of control and upsetting for those that have played fairly since open beta.
It is a high dopamine risk/reward game. It pushes players to WANT to win, or feel like they HAVE to win. FUN is not the main goal. Hence creating a need that they have to be seen, recognized and put on a pedestal, when in reality they are just weebs who cant play.

ill keep suggesting this until you fix this. stop letting players in matches where the team is near loss. most people don't care about w\l ratio but what if i mostly win and care about every lose i have? why do i have to be let in games where the other team wins after 30 seconds and the platform is already way over at their side? this is unfair and ruins the fun behind maintaining a high win lose ratio for competitive reasons

Honestly it sounds like you’re just in a bad headspace. The game isn’t designed to punish you for “playing well”, when you play well the game algorithm ups your skill rating and you play against better players who are at that skill rating, simple as that. Nobody gets to just infinitely poop on low level players so that they can perpetually feel good about playing well / winning. If you are truly playing well then you will slowly climb in ranked regardless of your teammates (I’ve solo’d to Diamond twice on just riot shield - if I can do it anyone can) and you’ll play against better and better players accordingly.

Your “want” here is totally unrealistic, you don’t want to sweat/try, but you also want to win (major conflict), you also want competent teammates but don’t want to end up in a situation where you’re the worst of the 3 and get heckled for it. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

my god can this game nerf heavy’s there’s no reason for the contestant with the most health to be this strong. as a light there’s almost nothing you can do besides play sniper on a rooftop far away. and the range on the winch claw could still probably reach you. heavy’s are TANKS they should not be able to one shot ANY other player. what is the point?? idc if it’s a sledgehammer or the god awful charge n slam. bro 130 for RUNNING INTO SOMEONE??? I shoot bullets but all they have to do is run into me and I’m gone. the sledge can do 200 damage?? what are we even playing? lights literally have to be perfect when fighting any other player. heavy’s can afford to miss a few shots yet they all have a rocket launcher that basically guarantees 100 damage off rip. the worst feeling is doing 308 damage and the heavy literally just runs into you and hits one bullet. I can’t be the only one feeling this way. and before people say I’m bad at the game I’ll post a screenshot of dropping 31 in a game a quick cash. also been playing since season 1 btw.

1. Left-click: Swift Attack
Damage: 50 DMG
Effects on enemies:
Light (150 HP): Requires 3 hits to kill.
Medium (250 HP): Requires 5 hits.
Heavy (350 HP): Requires 7 hits.
Balance: This is a fast attack with low damage, making it ideal for finishing off low-health enemies
or following up with other attacks.


**2. Tab Right-click: Instant Backstab (NEW) **
Damage: 90 DMG (on the back) / 50 DMG (if missed)
Effects on enemies:
Light (150 HP): Requires 2 hits to kill.
Medium (250 HP): Requires 3 hits.
Heavy (350 HP): Requires 4 hits.
Balance: Since there is no movement penalty, It can perform instantly, it is highly maneuverable,
but the damage is not overly high, and and there is a delay between attacks when pulling the knife back,
making it suitable for hit-and-run tactics.


3. Charge Right-click: Charged Backstab
Damage: 320 DMG (on the back) / 50 DMG (if missed)
Effects on enemies:
Light (150 HP): Kills in 1 hit.
Medium (250 HP): Kills in 1 hit.
Heavy (350 HP): Requires 2 hits (first hit deals 320 DMG and follow with quick melee).
Balance: This backstabbing is already have in this game. While it deals massive damage, it requires 800 ms to charge
and imposes a movement penalty, and there is a delay between attacks when pulling the knife back,
ensuring that players must plan their usage carefully. Make it become high risks high rewards

This Dagger Refinements Proposal is not intended to remove or replace any existing mechanics that have already proven effective and balanced. I haven't played yet, but my buddy said in WT he spawned directly in a sightlines of the enemy team and got melted off spawn. I'll play later but, are the spawn changes for all cash out modes? Or just quick cash?

so im confused why are we slowing down cashout when the playerbase is dwindling. I love this game but for the love of everything please provide actual balance updates embark. Slowing down your main gamemode while your game is at the lowest consistent player numbers is probably the worst decision you could be making. Not to mention every update you are bug fixing heavy and their most powerful specializations making frustration point the class even more powerful

I don't want to win all the time. my w/l ratio is pretty bad tbh. all I'm asking is to not get paired with literal fist time players. like I said, i quit ranked and exclusively play casual now so i dont care about winning, i just want balanced matches that i can have fun in. instead I completely stomped 90% of the time. i just don't want to be the only one actually playing the game. like i was saying earlier, i consistently have 2x-3x the objective score of my team and im usually just trolling around doing dumb strats because im so fed up with the nonsense. if you go watch (Mint Blitz

Yes, but you're right, I fully agree with you, I'm not interested in necessarily winning either, but at least in playing good, well-fought and balanced matches. You can see that the games don't make sense, usually there is one or two teams that dominate in an exaggerated way and two other teams that don't seem to exist. It's clear that sbmm totally sucks and makes no sense. This is also due to the fact that the game is slowly dying and there are fewer and fewer people and in addition there are many Smurfs (players who have many hours and create new accounts).

Could there be a way to get other sponsor cosmetics like if you completely finish one for a season you can get the other cosmetics afterwards but your main sponsor would still be the first one you picked for world tour reasons because I just saw the Dissun cutscene and really regreted picking Vaiiya as my main one.
