connection issues in ranked mode right now
Embark, most opinions here will change the gameplay drastically and erode it's enjoyability.
Anyone asking for the removal of abilities are extremely toxic to balancing a game.
These complaints come from anger, skill, and ranked issues but not from legitimate gameplay concerns in balancing.
It's absolutely disgusting how many players I see cry "remove X ability" or "X equipment is unfair" after they were fairly eliminated.
I've heard it multiple times across a variety of games from both friends and randoms. It's straight up an anger/skill issue most of the time.
Ranked concerns will never be satisfied because of the nature in competitive gameplay.
There will always be a meta, and constant nerfs to the current "meta" will never balance the game due to the nature of ranked gameplay.
They will always use the most optimal way to win and there will always be an "unfair meta" within ranked gameplay.
Simply make Recon a non-togglable ability with a long cooldown, and for Nukes simply reduce the barrels health and make C4 one-shot.
These changes would help balance the tactics without completely reworking the game and ruining it's style.
The stun gun isn't OP, it's designed to stun.
Invisibility isn't OP, it's designed to be invisible.
RPGs aren't OP, it's designed to be a high damage explosive.
Etc.....
The only thing ive got to say is C4 triggers kinda weirdly, I find myself either tapping secondary fire once or twice to eight times trying to get it to fire.

I know this isnt what you intended but that whole message makes it seem like you dont think the devs know how to make a game and should listen to you for advice on what is and isnt good feedback. They are ex dice and one is literally the ex ceo of dice they can understand when a change will be too drastic or stupid, they dont need you to tell them that. They know if a change will ruin the vibe of the game because they are the ones making it without a massive company backing them taking control. Hence why they made such a small change to recon senses, its better to slightly adjust something to see if maybe a change that seems small on paper helps a lot rather than one massive change that could become an even bigger problem.

If that was how that works then nothing in any game could ever be considered to be op because "thats how it was designed". "Why did they change the way C4 interacts with barrels, I mean it clearly wasnt op because you were intended to be able to do that" things on paper dont always work or perform the way you expect in use
I donāt think boasting the devs to a point where you disregard the critics on going, I found the best way for a feedback channel to work Is valid critics without swearing or boast from either side of ways, Itās impossible to disregard that Embark are a large team of active developers, but I seriously think that they deserve some more critics, without any pressure of course, and no ego boosting, just rot truth.
Reason why, Is that I see constantly people trying to debate on a feedback channel, exclusively against snowflakes, to be honest you should just ignore them, giving attention may lead to worse stuff.
Anyway, just think devs should do more stuff to increase peoples interest in the game, I really loved It, and In anyway I want It to end or fall In some sourt of limbo.
Recon isn't OP it is designed to scan across the map and locate enemies.
The togglable nature to it breaks it because it's a powerful ability with an almost unlimited use.
Crying it's "wall hacks" or complaining about "information" is toxic.
It's designed to be an information gathering wall hack ability.
Toggle makes it broken, but recon isn't OP by itself.
My friends and I constantly win games against triple recon teams.
It's difficult, but we manage to win because we out play them in movement, aim, and playing the objective.
Recon needs to be changed slightly as it is abused by being a togglable ability.
It just needs to be made non-togglable.
@proper shale I know the devs know how to approach balancing and creating a game. They personally said they are making this game with fun taking place over competitiveness. I'm leaving feedback, and I hope they see my message and remember their convictions as they continue to balance the game. I know it's better to make smaller changes which is why I advocate for simply making recon non-toggle instead of toggle. It's simple and doesn't rework the game. I'm extremely against nerfs and massive unneeded changes. Basically, I agree with you and I'm not ignorant in thinking Embark doesn't have expertise in dealing with toxic nerf opinions and balancing issues. We are just complicatedly agreeing with each other.
if you're going at a full sprint you should be able to bust through glass. I can't tell you how many times i've been frustrated by running into a nearly invisible glass window or have had to slow down just to hit it with a quick melee, it totally breaks the otherwise great parkour movement flow of the game. To me it makes no sense being able to sprint thru closed doors but not have the same effect for the glass that seems to be placed everywhere in the game

Hey fuckers. Here to break up the usual begging for nukes to be deleted from the game and MNK to return to consoles.
If I could buff light this is what I would do.
-Make dash cooldown lower (like by a second per charge. Nothing bonkers crazy). Make it a bit snappier.
-Also buff the grapple. Let it allow you to retain your momentum better at the end of a grapple. Lower CD. Maybe 2 charges?? Not sure how I feel about 2 charges imo.
-Make dagger and throwing knives alternate attack able to be held mid animation and finish the animation when you release your alternate fire.
-Make motion sensor have increased range and not have as loud of chirps.
-Make glitch grenade explode on impact of a shield. Lower reg non shield impact fuse time by half.
-Make the throwing animation for nades in general faster.
I think you could incorporate all these buffs and you don't make light OP. I made this list to really just focus on the really bad or really inconsistent parts of the Light kit. Light is still balanced by the fact that you die really really fast.

dont REMOVE nukes, just nerf it somehow.. theres basically no downsides to nukes at all and that shouldnt be a thing.. especially when nukes are low effort high reward AND one hit kill.. nothing is one hit kill in the game, so why is something thats easy to do able to do it? ON TOP of mostly being viable for heavies which shouldnt be a kill class (even though they are arguably not bad at killing anyway), DESPITE having insane utility as well...

I really hope Embark has an AI bot scanning (to categorize and prioritize) these responses by total posts. It seems that the same repeated requests have been flooding this thread everyday. I'm pretty sure they are not going to read each post, nor do they have the capabilities to manual review this. It's almost like this thread is nothing more than a void.

how many of those one shot a heavy? how much harder are those to pull off compared to a nuke? in my last 10ish games, ive died to nukes at least 25% of the time. do you know how much ive died to any other mechanics you mentioned in that time frame? less than 25% of the time COMBINED...
i feel like there are to much lights in bank it (quick play). Really anoying to play against if 65% are all light..

That's a fair opinion, just not one i share. It's by far the most anticlimactic part of the game because there's fewer interactions and it's often not balanced for many reasons. When it is balanced, it's not bad, but i've rarely gotten that in my experience, win or lose. Smart teams in the lead from the previous round can just try to help one of the lesser talented teams secure a cashout for an easier matchup in the final round, so it's actually very common to get lopsided games. It also tends to feel like more of a traditional tdm game mode in a 3v3 rather than the dynamics you experience when playing 3v3v3v3. Currently you fight over the vaults twice and get a couple chances at each objective but it's only against one team so there's less chaos than you feel in any other game mode and you never experience the "oh shit there's another team" moments or similar vibes. It's just somewhat predictable and boring.
git gud. final round has it's own pace and strategy. adjust your loadout accordingly. pay attention to map modifiers, and chose your cashout wisely should you get ahold of the box.
this is good, you shouldn't rely on spamming abilities to score kills and win games. we can do the same to Heavy's shield and any other ability that can be re-toggled

Embark studios, make people using cloaking device more visible on the lowest graphics. Since my computer cant handle the best graphics of THE FINALS, its harder to see people that are invisible. I checked on my brothers account (next gen xbox) and invisible people are much easier to see. And on my computer, with all lowest computer, its really hard to see. So if anyone could maybe tell me which option makes invinsible people more visible, or if embark could make invisible people more visible on lowest graphics.
Understandable. In my opinion a 3v3 is the most balanced thing. You can see which team has the better strategy to win the game in a fair 3v3. In 3v3v3 everything is random, there are to many people with to many abilities. You canāt concentrate on one enemy cuz another team is right behind youā¦maybe you get in a sandwich or something else. The Cashout is getting spammed with explosives, nukes or Gas the whole time.
Normally you would fight 3v3 in every round but some teams r just dumb and attacking a Cashout where 2 teams already fightingā¦cuz of that 1 team gets a free Cashout most of the times. It gets balanced when 1 team getting whipped out. When that happens they spawn near the other Cashout but itās most of the time to late to take it over.
And yeah itās a strategy to let the worst team win in the semifinals (most of the times that wonāt work tbh). We never do this cuz we also touching grass in our freetime lmao

Rebalance and buff variant:
-Remove Nukes or make only one stickable
-Decrease the shield to 800
-Nerf healing beam
+Bring back old damage and radius on RPG and C4. Make RPG auto-reloading, i.e. without the animation.
+Make C4 a little faster to throw and detonate, as well as a little farther to throw
+Buff Lewis to 260 DPS
+Buff M60 to 280 DPS or make its bipods real, where they'd increase accuracy by a lot.
+Buff Flamethrower DPS by twice. Or by x1.5 and increase range.
+Decrease firerate of SA1014 slitghtly, but make each shard deal 9-10 dmg. Reduce the clip size to 15, but make it 5 shots before pump pause.
+Make heavy grenade launcher's grenades detonate on impact.
+Bring Dome shield's old HP back and make it faster to deploy.

Sure. I think that most people would agree that it's not the most effective weapon in terms of teamplay, and before the recon nerf I only saw it being used on rare occassions. After the recon nerf, there's been an uptick in light usage, just from my observation, which is fine by itself but reflects the fine balance between elements of this game imo. My additional recon nerf comes with the cloak nerf so both are viable but still provide a way to balance each other out for exmaple. Now back to the sniper. Since it's not that useful, my main gripe is having someone sitting across the map taking free shots without much risk because they aren't actually involved in the fight. I get that it's a light, they're sniping and need some distance in general, but given the low risk/high reward you get with that, let's make it require more skill. You want to sit that far and just pick people off, show me some skill. You want to get closer and contribute to actual fights with your team, cool, it gets easier as you get closer. In general that's how I feel about most of my suggested changes. Same with my nuke nerf. I don't think it needs to be removed, just make it require some skill other than standing with it prepared and waiting for someone to turn a corner. If you have the presence of mind and and skill to grab to find a throwable, plant c4 on it with an 8s ticking clock, get in position and get it to the target before it detonates after a heated battle and you're the last man standing, under gunfire and your team can hold you down well enough for some cover to pull it off or while some guys have shields up and heals going stealing the cashout...props.
I would agree outside of recon sense lol, I honestly believe that having that level of information on demand does more to hurt fun strategic variance than it helps. Nukes have counterplay, Stun gun is on a fragile class that has to catch you out without protection, invis has always been a scrubkiller ability, recon sense has very little counterplay, it's just free information on where you are and what you're doing on a button press. I feel like having mutual ambiguity when it comes to positioning just makes gunfights and playing around breaches more fun and interesting.
There is zero reason nukes should be in the game. Tankiest character with the highest dps thing in the game. Actually crazy this is still around

you cant do anything if on heavy myself or medium refuses to bring aps. good skills in games, like 1 shots (especially in non 1 tap games), shouldnt need to be countered by "bring said material/class" as it completely turns off the casual player who one tricks. ow1/ow2 has having this issue and look at their 1year player count. also does anyone remember hanzo scatter arrow?? that shit 1tap tank on cooldown, minimal aiming. also why do people love seeing 1 taps? people wonder why light is shit outside of casual play and they get 1 tap by everything, heavy has a 1 tap to EVERY CHARACTER. number of clips peopel camping center of APs and still dying to nukes

They'll tell you "just dodge it" and "shoot the c4 lol" but the best players in the game can't do that and find it so oppressive that they GA it. Any non trash player isn't going to just run around and let you get a chance to shoot a barrel. If you see a barrel you're probably about to die.

It would be nice for the final round to be a bit more dynamic, teams spawning closer to vaults, teams respawning closer to cashouts even if they're not active. it would be difficult to balance this between constantly getting mobbed vs waiting for the other team to spawn the entire time, but id much rather the final round be more exciting than completely surgical, since the current meta abuses the insane 20 minute time limit, delaying cashouts for team spawns, preventing/camping close spawns by pre-nading or just standing on them. if it wasnt for the FP reward, winning final round honestly feels less fun than winning a 4 team round.
also, dynamic spawns are a must, they're already hard camped in the 4 team rounds, and even more predictable in the finals round.

i like the volatility of nuke a lot more than i like the impact of medium's ranged dps/sustain/info on the game. IMO the gadget RPS shit and using destruction and mobility options to play with positioning is the fun part of the game, and the issue with Medium is that their kit almost always seems to be strong no matter the circumstances relative to other builds and strategies. Like, if the best players really can't find any consistent counterplay to Nuke, if APS/goo/etc don't work then sure, they could tweak counterplay options to make them stronger or make nuke itself more fragile and open to be shot- but I've always found playing around nuke more interesting than playing around a dude with wallhacks, a gun that's one of the strongest at any distance, and an instant revive in case anyone actually gets picked. I feel like almost all of that exists to de-emphasize rewarding positioning and gamesense in favor of just being really good at tracking.
Light is super weak. But Iād rather them buff the class as a whole and continue nerfing the cloak. And Iām talking from a perspective of a light with around 75ish hours.
Cloak is a cheesy ability that gives too much value for too little skill. I agree that the class is gutted right now and cloak is a nesesery evil. But if the class as a whole is gonna be fine than cloak should be a worse ability than the other too just because itās too easy. Grapple has a lot of skill expression and dash has a lot of skill exploration. Cloak? You go invis, go behind an enemy and shoot. Itās cheesy and promotes ratting. again I agree that the class is gutted and has to be buffed to be even a little bit viable in the meta

Idk the steamdb charts scare me for this game.. bleeding players with no sign of it steadying.. i want this game to do good but the balance team's incompetancy is legit killing it.. at this rate servers are shutting down by the end of the year. LawBreakers 2.0
@vivid pecan palworld hype is over, currently 50% of its peak and slowly going down. Numbers arent going back up on the finals and that is a bad sign to me. 90% of this discord is people begging the devs to fix XYZ major issues with the game with no statement in sight. The game is great but thats not enough to keep people around when the balance is prob one of the worst of any game Ive ever played.
Also apex is still sitting at 150k players consistently so palworld isnt the culprit here. Embark balance team really needs to kick it in overdrive or be replaced because soon the ship is sinking

In a game where the TTK is decently high. Having a one shot mechanic, the only one shot mechanic of the game for that matter. With 0 counter play involved, I'm quite flabbergasted.
BTW, I know this goes against how an APS/trophy system actually works, but my friends had an idea that if a grenade launcher like the china lake/M32 is fired into one the grenade itself could still direct impact anyone inside without going off- right now it feels a little silly how a single APS completely invalidates GLs when they already feel generally weaker compared to other weapons on both classes.
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

i have two ideas id like to share. only one is meant to be implemented.
idea one: stun gun is now a melee taser, with sword range. melee users now have a chance to fight back, while the taser is still useable
idea two: the taser lasts for longer, but is able to be torn off a second after is hits the victim. the action of taking it off is about 1 and a half seconds

It's only a problem because it's in your own words "on demand" which again is why I keep saying it shouldn't be a toggle ability.
If it's made non-togglable than you wouldn't have "on demand" information and the ability would be used more tactfully.
It would be much more situational as a non-toggle ability and it would balance it out completely breaking it's current abuse.
So the first part is exactly why I came to the suggested change. Everything about this game feels like it's meant to be chaotic as you essentially described. That is the essence of the game imo. The 3v3v3v3, the explosions and destruction, gasses and nukes and randomness that brings to each game...it's all a part of the theme. Yet there's strategy in that chaos because you get those scenarios but it's all played around securing and holding an objective with classes and loadouts with pretty solid balancing in terms of elements countering each other. That is until you get to a final 3v3 where there's a dropoff from that due to everything being the same but played with two teams intstead of four. At that point it changes and it's mainly straightforward, kill the other team a few times and win the game. Unless everything about this game is near perfectly balanced (weapons, gadgets, specialiations, classes, matchmaking), it's just not that exciting often enough because the victor will often be predetermined. So rather than change the format randomly for the final round, keep it the same and just add another round before the current one.
However, I understand what I believe you mean in terms of 3v3 being balanced and fair. At it's core it's probably more deterministic of a team's true individual skill, but I think there's still a level of skill when the best teams find a way to overcome the aformentioned scenarios in a 3v3v3v3 and consistently win. At a high level and and with proper sbmm you would get some really fun scrim level games. If we're going to say 3v3 should decide the best team, then what is the point of playing 3v3v3v3 every other round beforehand? I'm not against 3v3, but let's make that a separate tournament mode where you advance through each round playing 3v3 until it's the best two teams. That would be a more consistent experience and a better way to decide that in a fair and balanced way. If it feels like a different game mode, why not make it one?
We need nuke nerfs and custom games
Nerf C4, heavies should not have 2 at spawn, its just stupid. Remove defib from the game. Make light sniper have a variable scope weak-strong scope to make it more viable at close range

I dunno, when I said "on demand" I meant more that you press a button and the information is yours. Taking away toggle would make it less constantly accessible, sure, but It's still a button you can press to learn exactly what the enemy is doing at least once a teamfight and that's still a lot of free gamesense and positioning info that the other team doesn't get. I'm not sure you can make that not-oppressive.

5 seconds is not oppressive when you have to wait 30sec/45sec for cooldown. It would completely break it's current abuse of spam scanning, camping, and hunting if it was made non-togglable.

By the time you shoot it, you're already dead, C4 AoE is overkill and red canister travels too fast. It kills both fun and balance.

I like the idea of making the red barrel HP lower to provide some counter play when they launch the nuke from a distance, but i dont think it provides much for close quarters.
Mines are too obvious and easy to avoid:
- Either remove the beep noise or the flashing lights. Having both audio and visual cues makes them useless 50% of the time.
- Increase the detonation range but lower the damage. It's too easy to walk or jump around them.
a mode with 1 heavy with semi-auto RPG versus only lights. "Coined by Spotlight" (like dead by daylight)
I have to disagree. The tactic can be used unskillfully even at close range.
Red barrel is slightly fast, but if you could shoot it or the C4 and destroy it with one shot, that would greatly help counter it.

the way I've always looked at the nuke is that if you're fighting it in close quarters without a plan, you've already lost. The second I hear beeping I start playing carefully, and with that in mind I usually don't die to nuke unless I get ambushed with it/don't see it coming.
One thing that actually came to mind for me is making the beeping louder so you always have warning when it's incoming.
Make a new matchmaking called "Elite", when you reach a high enough rank maybe (platinum or diamond) you can participate in hyper competitive match for people who want to give it all. Make it a toggle to switch on or off (for ranked or regular tournament), but give a warning for longer queue time. This will make a lot of pros happy and people invested in the game

Its no longer improvising, early on it was but now its just the standard thing to do. It stopped being fun to do after the first few times and it was never fun to have done to you. The only way to make it not the thing to do with c4 is to remove it entirely or make c4 non viable. Would rather they remove the abused mechnaic then try to balance c4 around it.

To fix the system integrity issue, try to turn on "Core isolation" feature in your Windows 10/11 PC, it fixed the issue permanently (so far) for me.

There's various things you can do with "nukes" aside from a typical nuke though, is the thing. The first nuke nerf already hurt using C4 on throwables for destruction, which was something I utilized fairly often before they changed that.
I really just want them to hit creative uses of of equipment as little as they can. That stuff is so much more novel to me than fights centered around drawn out hitscan aim duels holding angles and the like. I agree that nukes are very simple to use for how effective they can be, I just want to avoid turning the game into something blander where aimduels end up more important than positioning and gadget use/map manipulation.

I am platin and get 80% of battles gold 3 and bronce players in my team. And often my whole team get killed by a nuke, so it doesnt make more sense to play the game, in this case its better to return to warzone.

It doesn't make them easier to counter and destroy, very rarely will you get the opportunity to shoot a nuke, 99/100 the nuke is already in range to kill you.
I've shot plenty of nukes, but they didn't explode due to their health. If they had reduced health I would've countered countless nukes.

I just don't really think this is true. They give you warning when you're in close quarters and we're basically talking throwing a big rock at someone vs shooting them with a hitscan bullet. I already see Nuke get countered with RPG splash reasonably often, I think making it so that a small burst blows it up would make it way more volatile.
Everyone plays M and H in competition it's just impossible to play Light with the SR-84 when you have to put 3 balls to kill M and 4 balls to kill H

Personally I rather nukes to be a defensive kind of thing instead of being offensive. Idk but nerfing C4s to some extent over a strat that people use with it is something I disagree. The velocity nerf for normal barrels was absolutely great, just that the red barrel was not affected by it.
The solution for the nuke is very simple, player shouldnt be able to attach C4 on container, they should be able to attach it where ever they want but not on container.
they just need to make c4 player dmg aoe smaller.. light also has access to nukes but you need to be incredibly accurate with them to do any damage, why cant heavy nukes also be like that.. instead no the AoE is like 10m diameter while like has like 2/3m diameter

We need a forfeit option for tournament mode if one of our teammates quits (with no impact to our record). I shouldn't be forced to play an unwinnable match where I'm getting curbstomped or else get banned for leaving. Also we need the matchmaking cooldowns on casual, too many people abuse ragequitting in casual until they find an 'ez game' and it's not fun

The AK recoil and damage must have been adjusted because after the last patches, it bounces even when you counter the recoil. Something was changed because the damage registration is very weak for it..almost hard to get the kills if not dead close.
Add input based matchmaking and a xim/cheat detection rework so we can have kbm on console

Give light more ways to stay quiet and stealthy, kinda silly how the description of light build is "Specializes in stealth" yet anyone with decent game sense can deduct where he is from Cloak, Dash, and Grapple sound effects, footstep audio, or that unnecessarily loud sound when you fall 5 cm from the air and hit the ground.

I think the game is pretty clearly designed around RPS interactions and Heavy was never supposed to be "weak at offense." They have a ton of shit that's great at breaking defenses. Flamethrower kills goo and gas, they have tons of destruction, etc. Heavy's weakness more than anything else to me is mobility and long range damage, which is why their initial nuke nerf approach was to kill its range.

light doesnt have much of any support options, other than being super aggressive (assisting kills, pushing for revives).
i think light should get most of the recon abilities instead of heavy and medium (not recon sense, thatd be fucking insane lolol).
it makes sense, because as a light youre always pushing territory and should be trying to collect more info for your teammates. however thats just completely useless if the medium on the team can just use recon sense and throw sonars

Just had an idea. More like 10 really. First off, throw away VRs. In every match, you're vying to collect money. Make it so that you get that money to spend on equipment, and add a match entrance fee, make it risk vs reward. Plus, it would fit better with the games whole "E-sports" feel if you actually earned the money you collect in a match. Now, they'd need to implement a no-cost match for new gamers and people who dropped to low to actually pay the entrance fee and need to get some cash. Also, in these gambling style matches, you would have a cash penalty for respawns, meaning that your team now has less of a gap, and further makes the game risk vs reward. Is it really worth it to just respawn and try to rush back to your team (also incuring a penalty on your reward) or is it now more worth it to wait a bit for a revive. Players would also be more Incentivised to watch out for their team if it hurt their match performance in a way other than strategically. Ir would also give players a reason to give it their all, because even if they dont win, their now down any respawn costs if they dont cashout at least once. That was a bit of a rant, but it's not done. My other idea, a new gamemode. It's kind of a combo of quick cash and bank it. So, it would be a 3v3v3v3, where each team has a cashout and a vault. Anytime you do something like get a kill, revive a teammate, stuff like that, you earn cash for your team. But if the enemy gets to your vault and gets it back to their cashout, and holds it from you until it goes off, they steal all of your money. 20/25 minute round of this, with occasional random vaults and map events. At the end of the match, the team with the most money wins, and all other teams split what money they make evenly amongst themselves, following the system I outlined above.

the finals isn't overwatch, it's its own thing- it shouldn't be completely beholden to rigid, traditional class roles, and it isn't, you can make classes play in very different ways with different loadouts which is a really cool part of the game
having individual power and potential for big, sudden plays is fun and I know I'm in the minority, but I don't mind playing around it. I would much rather deal with nuke than have Finals become a common hero shooter where if your healer or tank is dead the teamfight might as well already be lost. Angle holding with SCAR, reinhardt shield, and medigun have little to do with what I find fun about this game, it's outplay potential- and outplay potential gets smaller and smaller the weaker you make the individual and the stronger you make teamplay.
Already noted but Heavy isn't supposed to be a purely defensive one-role class and medium isn't supposed to be a one-note support class. Medium is overtuned, but IMO that has more to do with Medium's best guns being absurdly cracked in any situation than their flexibility, which has been gradually tuned down over time.

if u donāt want to play as or against healers and tanks every game then you should be wanting teamplay and class weaknesses to matter more. when those things are more important, more team compositions become viable. the reason why MMH is meta right now is because they literally lack nothing despite leaving out an entire class.

Nukes need to be taken out. Either C4 can't be placed on anything throwable or limit to one charge for the C4. Which they increase damage to structures and decrease player damage. How can you truly fight when the second you turn a corner or go anywhere matter of fact and just instantly die. The worst fact of it is that you can barely escape it; if you see it flying at you, you might as well just give up and accept death. The cash out is in a building where you can't escape all you have to do is throw some C4 on throwables and chuck it. Bam you Win!! Please for the love of god and my sanity do something about the nukes.

Literally everything about it is broken, the animation doesnt happen 50% of the time, the backstab doesn't register 50% of the time and the auto aim/lock for melee fucks up 50% of attacks making you miss by movin your character. I dont understand why melee even has autoaim on pc?? I don't want my pc to aim for me, just let me do it myself please and thank you. And why can i hold thrust on sword but i cant hold backstab even though the sword is already better than dagger in pretty much every aspect?

I don't think they should remove nukes, but instead force people to apply only 1x C4 to be able to throw it (will do decent damage but not OP like it is now), if you apply 2x C4 -> the barrel should be too heavy to be thrown at a distance and if you try to detonate you will blow yourself up

I mean, what I don't like about healers and tanks is that their mindless damage mitigation often makes outplay next to impossible. Can't hit and run unless you're perfect and get the kill, they'll heal. Can't poke them from a distance, they have barrier. I honestly just don't really enjoy those mechanics whenever they're strong (and they're almost always inherently strong) unless they have equally potent counterplay, such as being able to kill them faster than they can use those strengths. For the record this isn't just a seething solo player, I always play in a stack and try to rep teamplay- I just don't enjoy fighting barrier+healer and I don't enjoy playing it either.
I'm also not sure about what you're saying for two reasons: One is that a medium with most of their combat potential taken away would still probably be a meta must-pick in every match because healing, intel, and revive are just that powerful in every game they appear. Second is that the thing that really caught my interest with this game was all the varied equipment interactions and different ways you can play a class- Heavy playing hyper aggro with the 1216 and charging through a wall, goo and hammer letting you engineer the environment and play a really funky kind of ambusher, pure defense with lewis and mesh, etc. I don't want to see all that variety go in favor of very rigid roles and weaknesses because IMO, they're just plain fun.
For the record I get what you're saying that certain things have to be reined in to increase variety, and I do think a lot of tweaking especially surrounding medium needs to happen. I personally don't feel confident in naming any one direction that I think would "fix" things because there's a lot of interacting moving parts in this game that have to be considered, but I know that I like the game being volatile and holding a lot of room for experimentation with equipment and team builds. I don't want to see those aspects go first and foremost.

@round bone itās simple. Nerf the Nuke damage to 200-220 and weāre fine. No one loses the fun and the nukes are still very strong. Medium players are oneshot after the nuke and lights are dead. When you ask me they should also give The Lewis Gun higher recoil but ok.

The only nerf that heavy need is to their rpg, even after the nerf its bonkers strong. Sure it cant directly 1 shot lights anymore but its close enough that it doesnt really matter. Literally 1 button press and they're down to 10hp with no way to miss.

Heavy got nerfed big time already. We don't see only heavy squads anymore. You are probably the lights that still loses after stunning the heavy class. Lewis gun is shit a big range. The recoil is still trash.
I feel nukes are getting out of control and need a nerf because its lowkey killing the game because no one carries a aps 24/7. also goo gun needs to be able to shoot 10-15 rounds with a cooldown because some people like to block buildings off and it makes it hard to enter a room without pyros in ranked. Im sure that would fix some problems and i feel in next season were going to need new guns because if one isnt added next season itll kill the game a little we need more excitement and add a gun maybe mid season too and perks or something but other than that. lewis gun is good at range. the trade off between the lewis gun and m60 is like 10 less dps on the lewis gun for 8x the range. it also still shreds close up. why is the ranged option for heavy so good close up???

in tournament match each heavy only got 1 chance to nuke with 2 C4 in 1 battle, you can just revive your dead teammates or team wipe and attack another point with full strength. So it isn't something make your game impossible to win. what's more there are various ways to defuse the nuke or let it blow themselves.

Pyro is already a no-brainer to put in your reserve because it burns off gas for clutch caps, anyway.

Its the best in almost all categories except movement which is not an issue when playing with a medium (as youre supposed to) and you have access to 1300hp to get out of any situation.
Now stack 2 heavies with a medium and you have double the nukes, double the rpgs and 2600 effective hp..
@balmy estuary light can kill heavy relatively fast but not faster than heavy can kill light.. lewis gun literally kills light in .6s or smth.. light needs to land 15 HEADSHOTS of the xp54 to kill a heavy.
The case scenarios where a light can jump in the middle of a team (as they would be supposed to play), kill a heavy and live are not many.
On the other hand, heavies instantly killing lights out of nowhere with nukes and rpgs are incredibly common.
Ive played both classes and nearly never die as heavy to a light. Even when caught completely off guard and stunned you can just turn around and hipfire beam lights before they can kill you.
In the end if you consistently die to lights as heavy, you are probably playing alone a lot which is just bad positioning that you should be punished for.

A stim shot equipment would be cool to see. When used, you start healing. If you get hit while using it it stops the regen. That way it canāt be used in a gunfight.
The buff for light isn't nerfing another class. Those nerfs will leave equipment feeling weak and underwhelming. Light needs a slight buff but not at the expense of hurting other classes and equipment. I want light to be a viable class and it's close but needs a little more teamplay and counter gadgets.

the throwing knives deal great damage but the problem comes from the clunkiness of the projectiles and the inconsistency of their behavior.
some things that could be done to resolve this issue:

šŖ allow right click to be held
šŖ slightly decrease windup time of right click

Yes they should allow all melee and throwing to be able to hold right click, its so fucking weird how the sword can hold right click but not dagger or throwing knives. Not allowing melee to hold right click just lowers the skill ceiling and removes skill expression.

really cool suggestion that i heard on reddit: give lights the defibs and give something else to mediums, it will change up the meta really well and we will see more different builds in ranked. it also balances the defibs at the same time since lights dont have a lot of hp and could die fast while defibing, so adds risk to it
I said one of my pals, so not cheating. The issue is that it doesn't send out the healing beam altogether. You can also look it up, other people are having similar issues themselves. I would keep in mind that something that works for you won't exactly work the same for another.

That's what I been saying, Its sad how people just cry about things and ask for delete them from the game, yes, some things may be overpowered like FCAR or completely unbalanced like nukes and Recon, all of those cases can be addressed with a real solution instead of just keeping nerfing them to the ground like the C4s at the moment, nukes can be balanced by just reducing the hp of the C4 to generate a counter for it and recon woulndt be that bad if it was a global scan or a non-togglable
We use two aps and it still doesn't solve the full team wipe out, nukes should be nerfed to the point that C4's will just explode the carriable in mid air without adding the C4 damage on top of the barrel damage.
That just the limit of distance set in the engine by the devs nothing to do with optimization or performance. @cyan trench when you defib someone in the game they only get revive at 50% health so why would that work giving light that option.
why wouldnt it work though? its the same as being revived with medium, you just cant heal them right away, that means you still need a medium, so medium heavy light combo would be seen way more, instead of HHM. Defibs need to be more risky

Recon senses should have been changed to work the other way around imo.
Dont reduce the range to 30 metres, but give it a range of 100 metres but a deadzone of 20-30 around the player.
This way, it is useful in detecting where enemies are coming from, but leaves closer ranges more suited to the sonar grenade instead of just being outright better than it
This game has a big problem. Heavy is way to strong right now, huge health pool, massive damage output and the 'Nuke' problem feels like the worst its ever felt. Feel like they should just remove C4+Barrel combo from the experience at this point, feels like its killing a genuinely fun Fps.
My game is failing to launch š¤
because a light has less health and it would be impossible for some one to get respawn. The devs have in game tools like heat maps which show certain areas of the map where are hot spots for fights. Statistical data on which weapons are used the most so when a gun is meta the know when to balance it. They have plenty of tools so id just leave it up to them. The thing for me is this game was put through 1 alpha play test, 3 close beta's and one open beta and yet no one had a prob with most of the complains i see here.

The number of players on controller playing with no AA is very low. It would be too much work for the devs to make matchmaking work like this and it would separate players even more.

Dude, you know you are an exception, right? Controller users in general want nothing to do with MKB players. When I play with my friend on PC (i'm on PS5) we are matched with other PC players and it's a pain playing on controller against them. Input based lobbies are more a reality than no AA lobbies.

Reward throughout the season idea: you can enable a background glow of some sort to flex your rank at the beginning of the game when each team is being called out. Example if youre in gold, there would be a gold flare behind the toon. Can carry over to casual matches
If you have a mixed squad (console/ PC) the game prioritizes steam lobbies (this is how it works now). In my opinion it would work the same way if they add input based matchmaking.

Correct. Mnk users don't care about controller users if they are on raw input / without aim assist themselves. Mnk, gyro, or controller are fine in same lobby as long as zero assistance is given. So an opt in to raw input lobbies, but without aim assist, would be fine

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

C4 doesnt need a nerf, they literally halved the dmg. Nukes should be removed, they take 0 skill. Recon range needs to be 40-50m to be viable. Double heavy needs to have more counters. Light players just need to get good, they have everything they need to be a useful class.

I am getting an error that boots me midway througha game every single game.
Thw opportunities for this game are huge. The high ttk and the set roles are actually pretty well balanced despite what the loud minority is yelling. So baseline game is addictive. The bonus points are cosmetics and the possibility of really cool map locations. Feudal era Japan, Favelas of Brazil, a Russian Supermax Prison. I really hope this game continues for at least a few more years
DAY 7 OF ASKING FOR HEARABLE FOOTSTEP AUDIO
The game has quite a lot of audio issues that need to be addressed, something minor is when you mag dump the lh1 m, some if not most of the shots donāt make any sound. The biggest problem is the footstep audio, even when night mode is turned on, my teammates footsteps are bass boosted but not other people. Take inspiration from overwatch, there if the enemy is walking than you can perfectly hear it and even can identify which enemy (to the point of which hero out of the 30+ is trying to be stupid and flank you without crouching) it is, but if theyāre crouching then theyāre completely silent. Since crouching wouldnāt fit this game because of how fast paced it is I propose this:
When running the enemy makes loud footsteps noice that can be heard through walls and can also be identifiable to know which enemy it is, light, medium or heavy. Zip lines and jump pads also have to be noisy so that itās possible to know if someone left the area youāre trying to hide in for example.
BUT
if the person is walking, (not sprinting) than theyāre completely silent, this way itās going to give people the ability to silently flank enemy teams if they wish too.

Nerfs are not the solution (It's been done already). We need foundational reworks:
- Make recon snapshot based
- Give Lights a self-heal gadget or faster healing speeds (restoration and they should get faster healing from beams)
- Nukes are not terrible but no class should have freebie combos (heavys can nuke with little consequences at close ranges where counters are not plausible)
Some ideas I have seen and liked but there is more they need to do as well.

I don't know how to balance it, but I find it incredible that 3/4 of the kills we eat are due to gadgets.
The defib is a problem, but you'd have to start with reanimation itself... I don't really understand the point: for example, you've just clutch in 1 vs 3 and the last one you put low... so you think great, I'm dead, but the ratio will move the game forward... But no. All it takes is 10 seconds and everyone's on their feet. I don't know, maybe extend the rea time or just remove it and bring back the respawn, depending on the situation.
Then we're still waiting for weapons for the medium

The Nukes and RPG dont need any skill, yet give the highest reward by easily killing one, often more players instantly, with almost 0 risk. Giving you free advantage at every fight.
Recon is a free wallhack wich is completely dumb.
Dead go boom is very often unevitable death if you kill somebody close to you. While it has no benefit, it is just annoying, tho, could be fun if it only applies to construction, or, at least has a longer timer and a warning (aka the glowing up death trophy) so you have a realistic chance of escaping. Also, if you play a melee weapon, dead go boom is kinda game breaking for you.
The mesh shield has 1000 health, added to the dome shield and the heavy hp, a 3 man heavy team with all hp and shields has a combined health of 4950. If you dont see a problem with this then i dont know.
The dome shield nerfs were fine and i actually think its good as it is now, but 1000 for a moving shield is crazy.
Gas and explosives deal too much damage overall in my opinion and especially gas can deny huge areas for a long time and also deals crazy amount of damage compared to fire. I would like the damage to be closer to the damage of fire, maybe slightly higher since fire sets you on fire and gas is gone the moment you are out.
There are games that get decided by wich team can throw more gas on the cashout room, just so nobody can ever enter it.
Tho there are ways to avoid gas, i think it has too much impact on the game.
this game is fun and refreshing, unfortunately, held back by bland balancing and a generic cod-type shooter class being the best class
what differentiates this game is the movement, the destruction, the sandbox-y nature of it. but medium is arguably the best class in the entire game, with most utility, most function, and easiest to play.
so in both ranked (and especially ranked) and casual, medium is chosen.
except medium is fucking boring to watch/play, so now you've taken your prime value proposition (the destruction, sandbox, movement), and dumped it in the water. medium is the class with the least destruction, sandbox, and movement. it's the stereotypical one-man-soldier battlefield-type hero.
this is one of the main reasons this game's player count is dwindling. because who the fuck wants to play another generic cod/battlefield-type shooter when you can just play cod and battlefield?
suggestion: focus on what makes this game FUN and UNIQUE.

It looks like they pushed an update like 8 hours ago but alot of people ran into issues. Guessing they're holding it back until they fix what went wrong. (Search for messages about failure to build)
My way to nerf the defib is:
-increasing the animation time, that animation happens to fast, that's why it's the unquestionably the most meta gadget right now. Nerf 15% - 25% the speed of the animation
For nukes, yall can say whatever you want but here's my thoughts, nukes are f strong right, so to make less reliable nerf the speed on the red canisters on 25%-50% ( not rlly good with numbers).

Personally, I think it's possible to bring nukes in check while keeping their fun mechanics in the game:
**- Revert weight penalties to thrown barrels that have c4/etc attached
- Remove c4 explosive damage when attached to throwables. **
This way players could still throw and detonate barrels from afar (gas cannisters are p fun) but the damage would never be more than that of an exploding barrel.
imo The issue is being able to instantly kill multiple people with two simple actions. That should never be a thing in an obj, team-based fps.
Can you PLEASE put a little yellow line or something on the front sights of the LH1? It's kind of tough for me to see the difference between it and dark areas, epecially when it's bouncing around while firing. In fact, please do this on every gun that doesn't have it lol.
It's not like impossible, but I lose track of it more than I'd like to admit.
Secondary complaint, the sight movement on the LH1 is insane while moving. Using a software crosshair to test (not while playing) you can clearly see how misaligned it gets while moving around and while shooting in general. It definitely needs more stabilization.
For me personally the defib is fine as it is now. Reducing the invulnerability time was a good nerf i think because the bullet sponges were annoying af. A further nerf would result in it not being taken anymore, because the only advantage it has, is its faster than a manual pickup.
Yes the defib is a 100% must pick for the Medium class, but so is the stun gun for the light and the rpg for the heavy.
Everybody is ranting on the overpowered medium class but it is really not. Yes it is very strong but the biggest advantage is a medium can stand very well for himself and doesnt rely on other players to have fun games.
The heavy on the other hand unleashes its true power when he has supporters around him, but if he has that he shreds whole lobbies without a problem.
Someone suggested to nerf nukes by just letting the heavy only have one c4 active at a time, just like the lights breach charge. The possibilities are endless, but right now you can play 1 minute of rank without a heavy throwing a nuke into your face.

Your inability to address C4 barrels, otherwise known as nukes, in at least the last two major patches, is baffling.
Virtually no one wants them in the game anymore. The content creators that quit, the other competitive players that quit, even the casual players. A one-shot deal that has no counterplay other than a lucky spray at their barrel, quick evade or placement of the APS turret, in which 9 out of 10 times they will otherwise have the edge in reaction time especially with a red barrel, to instantly kill you and put your team on edge, with potential to wipe your entire 3-man team. There's no essence of fairness to it, and still to this day, even after you nerfed recon, resonates within a still atrocious meta.
You'd be a fool to not run nukes in ranked. Not one of my teams from LFG doesn't run nukes, much less mains.
Whatever you do next update, we hope that you acknowledge the weight that the nukes have brought down upon the playerbase, and ultimately remove it.

also the number of times i get nuked inside of an aps is crazy still, i sometimes will react place down aps, gets nuked and dies inside of the aps, (not sure if this is ping issue, or there is an āarming timeā similar to the turrets.)
RPG self-damage feels a bit overtuned, 252 max self-damage compared to only 140 damage max to an enemy is a bit crazy. Bringing it down to even 200 will be a huge improvement due to how weird the splash can be at times

Explosions are such a big part of the game that I think that it is kinda funny that people are 50/50 on this nuke debate. I kinda like how they patched it. Basically killed the old nukes and now there is only red barrel nukes. I think there just needs to be more counterplay or maybe just a damage nerf but removing it would be crazy to me

Looks like there's a loud minority here on the topic of nukes, and that's fine. #šāgame-feedback, and this is the first time I've ever seen defenders on nukes in general, and you're bound to run into a lot of them here at once. I speak from many others who have trashed nukes. They used them, too. It doesn't mean it's a good meta.
@hallow kite Either you're lying about NEVER getting killed by them, or you've been running casual this entire time, and not ranked play for extensive periods of time. Those who grind ranked are bound to bump into nukes all the time, especially at a higher SBMM where heavies preserve their nukes patiently until the right time where they get a window to shoot, or intend on smart plays to utterly one-shot players of any class. APS turret is a good counter, but preferably in the final round, we end up having two APS turrets on both mediums. Every other time when we're playing in early rounds, we run our other main gadgets because we're in entirely different situations.

I've countered nukes with APS countless times, given that I'm an APS main since Closed Beta. Adding this feature could make it even easier to track what issues are more prominent by implementing a simple keyword counter. Almost what I mean by the community being 50/50, black and white about the whole thing. Definetly some good ideas on both sides and I for sure think that c4 needs a rework. (maybe giving light a gadget that acts like a portable aps on cooldown?) (giving heavy 1 c4 instead of 2) (it taking less shots to blow up a barrel in someones hand) etc. etc. im sure there is a million and one ways that you could change the game and change the dynamic of c4 without removing it. TL;DR: the finals should have a 6v6 quick cash style game mode (advantages listed below)
-since its only 2 teams, there will be no 3rd party capture that punishes the winner
-any given player is only 1/6th of the team, as opposed to 1/3rd, "bad" players will have less negative impact on the teams overall performance
-fights will be longer and more chaotic, giving lights better opportunities to strike
-since there are more players in each team, any given item will have a higher chance to be used (this will make stuff like gas less annoying, since you are more likely to have a teammate that's using pyro to counter it)
important footnote:
I know the finals only allows groups of up to 3 people to que together but I see this as another positive
It prevents people from getting a whole 6 stack
3 people communicating will still be strong but not quit as game breaking as it otherwise would be in a 3v3v3
It would probably be fun, even if just to see how this game behaves with more than 3 people in a team
And if it doesn't work, that's no big deal, we will probably still learn something from it

Heavy nukes:
- shouldnt one shot mediums in a high ttk game, shouldnt be a win condition that will win a teamfight consistently.
- if damage is kept intact, make nukes travel at the similar speed of explosive mines version. Make it easier to evade.
- shooting nukes is a lot harder than people think, the cannister takes a lot of bullets b4 it blows up, chances are you are already dead if they saw you. It has skinny hitbox (red ones), hard to hit at longer ranges, + heavy running around, looking around with it. When they turn their back on you, the nuke is not visible, when they run to a wall, (eg: using the vertical zipline on vegas next to a building) the nuke is concealed inside of the walls.
- Iāve seen the meta evolved into having your mediums carry spare red cannister and hiding for the heavy. (Plat lobbies)
Heavy mesh shield:
- I canāt tell if the heavy cancelled their mesh or Itās broken after i put in 4 mags of fcar into it, sometimes it feels like it has infinite hp, add cracked texture to low hp mesh
Medium recon:
- its at a much better spot, however it still is a hard counter to light players, especially during the final round, maybe reduce detention range for light during invisibility to 10m.
Medium Defib:
- i think this is in a good spot, defibing in the open is much more risky and easier to punish, it can be annoying when its MMM, itās still a must pick for M, but i donāt see a way to nerf this that will make this ability ānot a must pickā.
Medium APS:
- I still dies a lot to nukes inside of aps, not sure if there is an āarming timeā, i will sometimes rush in, and react to nukes by placing it down on my feet and dying shortly afterwards, thinking that i wasnt fast enough, but the aps is indeed placed down and goes on cooldown. Idk whatās the radius of c4 explosions vs aps radius. Maybe have a look into that.
- single aps feels like it only works 50% of the time against nukes.

The point of light is to be a glass cannon. Having high damage weapons and gadgets like sword, double barrel, xp smg, etc. at the expense of having Lower health than the other classes. It simply wouldnāt be fair imo to have all of these high damage weapons and have high health at the same time.

FCAR has been one of the bigger problems with Medium class since before patch 1.5. Recon + ACOG was one of the main reasons everyone wanted a Recon nerf so badly. Devs needed to take real action on the FCAR and instead they did the meaningless 1 damage nerf.
Instead of tweaking the damage, they should have increased hipfire spread or decreased fire rate outright so that it would be a long range battle rifle and less effective up close. Instead its better than any other weapon in the Medium kit, with good effectiveness at long, medium, and short range. It's better than AK in almost all situations (unless you have potato aim), and clearly better than everything else available to the Medium (especially with the horrendous revolver rework).
Game would straight up be healthier if the FCAR was removed and the AK was the primary and only AR for Mediums. 50%+ of weapons used across all players in a ranked lobby are FCARs. It's that bad.

The 1 damage nerf on the FCAR is a 4% overall damage nerf on it. It was pretty significant. To say that its better then any other weapon in medium kit is just false though.

someone needs to look at gun leveling, it makes no sense. I maxed out breach charges and grenades in the first 2 weeks, and 2 months later im only level 5 with the 2 guns I use all the time. 162000 xp required and I get like 100-200 every match.

recon is the most easy thing to counter, just play together as a team, not holding hands just close to each other
Defib should just be a faster revive or something like lifeline where you start the revive but can shoot and do other things. Instant revives don't work in competitive shooters so if you go down the non competitive shooter route its all good but ranked and anything beyond it wont work well.
You make that sound far more simple than it actually is. For solo players that is next to impossible. For OCE players it pretty much is impossible because we have too Q Asia servers and no one speaks English. Getting people too cooperate in FPS games like this is very tricky. Then you also have the issue of 3 stack mediums with defib, 2 recon 1 heal youāre just gonna lose that fight unless you get a good nuke.

Defiv doesn't need a "faster revive" nerf. It needs a reload system, like the stun gun. Perhaps no passive cooldown, it only cooldowns when you take it out and "recharge" it. Stowing it away stops the cooldown
That way, people have to manually pay attention to their defib to make sure its always ready, like what a light has to do with their stun gun.
C4s are bugged rn so it's understandable why people complain since it has a minimum dmg making it able to one tap a medium at max explosion range. I've even thrown one singular c4 on a barrel and done 340 to a heavy due to the amazing double dmg glitch
Defib should be a specialization imo, but for the moment make it so if you get defibed then yours will also go on cooldown (or maybe all your gadgets don't work like you've been glitched for a short time)

I barely see any teams playing MMM, most of the teams play HMM and even HHM.

Specialization lock wont make a diff as well, since HMM meta uses Mesh, recon and heal.

I understand that light is quite underpowered and have a very low pick rate.
I believe some people have already addressed on how to put light back into the spot light.
Some stuff are (just listing what I can remember):

- more grapple charges
- faster regen
- more hp
- lesser bloom on lh1

But yes, I do believe that light can use more stuff to be more viable, though some will def disagree with me.

I would like to know where the journey is going and, within a rough framework, when there will be new things. And to feel more engaged in the journey and the path the game is taking. Even so I mainly play heavy and like the dopamine rush when killing a full team with a nuke itās only fun for me and it got so bad that itās mandatory to play aps in ranked because the shields arenāt always powerful enough to counter the incoming nuke
One idea from me to not just remove the nukes is to create and buff everything that counters a nuke and make the incoming nuke predictable threw sound or ui
- Some guns donāt feel like worth playing
For me as a heavy main player I struggle to use the m60 over the Lewis because of the damage fall of and the big iron sight

Speaking in-terms of items that are currently in the game, the 2 most used gadgets are glitch nade and invis bomb.
Again... like what others have said, glitch nade should explode on impact. Especially on mesh and dome shields.
Invis bomb should not have the cloak sound thingy (idk how to describe it).
But if you really want to discuss about balancing light, then im not the person to do it š the original post for all of this was about the role lock. Not really about light build discussion.

New game modes:
Capture the flag (cashbox/vault)
Two team with 6-8 players each got base, each containing its own cashbox. The goal for both teams is to capture the enemy's cashbox untill they have reached the games capture limit (like 3 times), while preventing the enemy team from achieving the same.
Both teams cashbox are typically locater deep within their territory, usually in a symmetrical location from each to other. If team that stole cashbox drop it for 60 seconds its going back to base
King of the Hill
Two teams focuses on a single control point at the center of the map. which is neutral and locked at the beginning of the round. Teams must make their way to the control point and capture it when it becomes available. Once the point is capture by a team, their team clock starts a 3 minute countdown (and get money) when other team take the point, clocks freezes until the point will be recaptured. team who got full 3 minutes (or 20k for example) winning.
Payload
In a payload maps, one team need escort a cart full of money through a series of checkpoints within a certain amount of time. Team members move or "push" the cart by standing next to it - the more people next to the cart, the faster it moves. Any enemy team member standing near the cart stop it. If no one push cart in 30 seconds its start slowly moving back.
Oh I forgot a big one for me.
Feeling of engagement and celebration
I enjoy the idea of a game show, the commentators and partly the new tournament screen. But I miss some core things for me to really get the feeling of a game show, where every game and every tournament is something special.
- Celebration and appreciation after every match/tournament
ā Highlight clips/plays of the game
I really loved it back in the days when OVERWATCH introduced highlights and the medals (even so medals said nothing). After every match, give us time expecially in ranked and show highlight plays/destruction or silly moments.
ā Celebrate individual/group doings like most traveled distance in the game, most distruction, highest/widest jump distance etc.

I would love to see something like a point system (could be smth. different) for passing the cash box or defending a teammate, reviving etc. (things that are teamplay releated)
Text chat on PC and smth like a community hub
- In games with your team and between matches everyone in the tournament
- general chat/community hub when not in game
Special Tournaments
That thought is build from the experience of playing fzero 99. Tournaments arenāt always playable there. Itās more like every few hours and at a set time there are big tournaments which differ in the difficultyās of the racing tracks/maps. I would love to see something like that in THE FINALS too. But instead of different maps, it could be like different rulesets or even a tournament where friends/everyone would be alerted and could spectate the game.
Problems I have with the game right now
It is fun but got repetitive and isnāt really using all sandbox possibilities. With fewer players (30k less) as an eu player have ping issues due to lack of players in my region expecially in higher ranked games. Ranked is just time related at the moment.

It'll be harder to balance new guns, abilities etc. I feel like another alternative is to introduce a hybrid class altogether. That way, there will be more variations in competitive play.

Fix minimum damage on explosives. You should not be rewarded with 186 damage on people when you completely whiff a nuke. (93/C4 at minimum, even on the very edge of the nuke.)
The respawn system continues to be incredibly anti fun when it spawns multiple teams on one team at a cashout while the other one gets theirs for free. Getting a cycle of killing Team A, Team B spawns on you and you wipe them, then Team A comes back again is not fun. If it happens occasionally, fine, but it is very common for the game to spawn them with no other choice than to attack your point.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
add buzzer beaters, cashboxes in the air at timeout postpone the match until they touch the ground or swish into a cashout station to trigger overtime

the throwing knives deal great damage but the problem comes from the clunkiness of the projectiles and the inconsistency of their behavior.
some things that could be done to resolve this issue:
šŖ slightly reduce projectile drop off
šŖ slightly increase projectile speed
šŖ allow right click to be held
šŖ slightly decrease windup time of right click
šŖ there are still inconsistencies with projectile behavior when mid-air that need to be addressed

Can we have more Levels instead of more XP. What good is the XP when we've reached max lvl already...
As I mentioned before add something like a possibility to PRESTIGE and have that added to your in game name, with e.g. stars, coins I don't know. But anything that gives people more incentive to grind this game to the bone.
The inconsistency is intended, it'd be way too strong without it. It's a trade off. Being able to hold the right click is the only change it really needs, as it stands it's very rare that a situation is better served by a strong throw.
ADD MORE FCAR SKINS ALREADY PLS THERE'S BARELY ANY COMPARED TO THE OTHER WEAPONS.

Wow. More XP was definitely not needed. Max level was easily reachable in the first 2 months of playing the game even if you didnāt play that much.
Very unnecessary focus on XP while other things like nukes, defibs, ⦠are still the most discussed topics.
Increasing the level cap would have been a good addition if you do decide to give more XP.

if an assault rifle or any other more traditional weapon can beam while mid air, why can't the knives have more consistency? as a weapon in a movement shooter the knives should not be inaccurate while the player moves. standing still or not moving erratically while using them is a death sentence
They should play the game more lol. The BP is already really easy to complete if you prioritise dailies / weeklies. If you only play the game for like 3 hours a week, then you shouldnāt expect to get the high tier cosmetics.

Thanks for removing Dead Go Boom, however i feel like the dev note seems a little bit disingenuous as yes it does feel too punishing for melee players, it allowed players with poor aim / game sense to get cheap kills that they didnt deserve.
It also meant that a light could W key into a cashout fight akin to an RC-XD from Call Of Duty and kill people without having to do that much damage

as a hammer user i'm happy about the removal of the "dead go boom" event
I'm still sad about the fact that nukes actually gets removed as this was the 'fun' part of bringing chaos.
I have a feeling that most complains came from FCAR users who are sad that they cannot kill a person within a matter of seconds as "the barrel is too OP".
C4 has already been nerfed to a point where i switched to frag as it's more viable now in the current way of playing.
Slowly but surely the heavies will be put onto a spot where more HP doesn't mean that you can survive longer... it just means that we will have to go back to 3x M meta.. but that's just my thoughts about it
And if they work a lot to provide for their family or to have extra money? They shouldn't get cosmetics because they don't play 8 hours a day like everyone else that's kinda stupid. Also instead of replying with the clown emoji actually use words LMAO

I think the best way to a re-add dead go boom and maintain the idea behind the event is to have a short 3-5 second countdown before the dead, y'know, go boom. So melee users aren't instantly punished with death because they got a kill but they still have to get out of the radius. In this way the event maintains its carnage by still having big explosions go off after every kill but doesn't actively punish players. It also means kills in crowded areas could result in a chain reaction as unaware players are caught within the radius and are unable to get out in time, something that would happen before but would happen so quickly there was no chance of escape.
To make the radius and the countdown til boom clear there could be an effect added, maybe an enlarging circle like the death from above event, so its clear to players if they're in it or not.
the FCAR literally shreds a heavy within a single clip..
the FCAR deals more damage than the sledge even though we need to put ourselves into danger to get a hit in.. whilst in the meantime you can stand on 30m if not more without any problems.
AA also favours this distance so win win for console players..
there's also barely any recoil on the FCAR..
and ofcourse it's not a problem when your teammate dies as you've got defibs and healing beam for days.. re-enabling this "nuke in a gun"
I do agree that the nuke damage is too high, hence why i've said on multiple occasions that it might be better to keep the current C4 values in as it is and only make it able to drop a single C4 onto a barrel.
The distance of a barrel + 1 c4 is nothing special and the damage output is lower.
offtopic: the RPG self damage is still really annoying as most heavies just feel like body blocking the RPG to get it into their favor and make it so that I wipe myself...

Where is the fun part when you hold a nuke into a fight and wipes a team with just a click? How can you even compare it to a normal weapon? Also FCAR got nerfed as well the last patch, you're a hammer user, so I can see why you're complaining, it's your only ranged weapon you're using.
I'm playing all classes, even as heavy, I either get nuked or just nuking someone else, the fights now doesn't stay longer than 10 seconds, and if a fight stayed that long, you won it but you still recovering, you will see a heavy "user" coming with a nuke to wipe you, and your team.
Playing a nuke to wipe a team isn't fun, I don't see the fun at all, not even as a heavy player, there is no fun when the fight ends with a click button.
Yet another patch that doesn't do fk all to the terrible state of ranked š.
At least dead go boom is gone.
Dailies give you 10k, thatās 70k a week which is 7.7 levels. I donāt know the exact numbers but weeklies give you like 3 levels. Letās be generous and say the additional XP gained by playing to complete the challenges evens out the total levels per week to 12, meaning you can complete the BP in 8 weeks with an extra month of leeway JUST from completing dailies and weeklies.
The challenges arenāt hard, if you play an hour a day and prioritise them, youāre going to get through the BP comfortably. The BP is a reward system to incentivise people to play. If you donāt play, you donāt get the skins š¤·āāļø if you know youāre not going to complete the BP, then you shouldnāt buy it. I work full time and still got the BP completed a couple weeks ago because I prioritised the challenges.
But again, thatās just me. High tier rewards should be for people who play the game.
I hope we can see more ways to utilize the VR points rather than JUST to unlock weapons and gadgets. The people who have unlocked everything basically has no use for them.
Please move the hanging red barrel box in the practice range. If I want to remove it in order to practice shooting the dummy roaming around the top of the building, all the barrels fall and have a very high chance of destroying the roof in such a way that the rooftop dummy no longer spawns and roams there.
The barrel can be countered fairly easily with any type of explosive or a decently placed APS.
If a heavy managed to get a teamwipe with a single nuke, that simply just means that the group was WAY too stacked and you guys need to learn how to position properly.
The FCAR got literally nerfed for 1 damage per bullet, which means it's 20 damage lower than initially..
It's doing about 200 damage per second if not more, so yes, this is a nuke in a gun and can basically cross complete maps and still get a frag in.
The chaos a nuke brings by breaking down building and what not is what makes this game so great and separates them from other shooters.
EDIT: just checked a sheet and the FCAR needs 14 bullets for a heavy and shoots 9 bullets per second

can we please get skins for other guns for once? what about the fcar? what about the riot shield? what about the lewis gun? you are missing out on so much cool stuff by making skins for the same couple of guns over and over again.
An idea to "fix" nukes. instead of nerfing damage og making them not go far. You could make it so C4 can't explode if a player is holding the object the C4 is attached to. Meaning that a player that is alert, could stop a guaranteed one-shot by a nuke by picking it up before it explodes. With a potential to shoot it back. This would still mean that getting kills with a nuke feels satisfying, and would keep it as a mechanic. But also give the players an opportunity to counter it. So instead of needing an APS turret, or be playing as a heavy with mesh shield to counter nukes, you just need to be alert and skillful.
there's a bug with my weekly contracts where i've completed them already but the the count is like 20/15. the XP isnt given out either

I'm not asking for much, I just want some anime drip in the next season pass, its a money-making no brainer idea. I'm talking about the wacky stuff. bodypillow hammers, riot shield with your cringe waifus in it. big ass anime hair wigs. giga chad muscle bound bodies for heavies. chibi pets. Gun that says kawaii crap every time ya get a kill. Cmon guys lets make this a reality, my debit card is waiting. Imma be real sad if there ain't a smidget of anime content in the next season.
14 bullets which means 70% of the magazine, he only has 20 bullets and not everyone has 100% aim even if you are a bot and you don't move, aiming with FSCAR is not as easy as you think, and the APS doesn't counter it because they don't even throw it at the APS, they throw it out of range, because the nuke has a huge radius, so even if you're standing on the APS you'll die if you throw it around, I've tested it myself, you can try it yourself.
Most of the people who are complaining about this are diamonds and people in the top 200, I'm in the top 3,000 myself so I know how to position myself, but even if you position yourself, there are a lot of situation where you need to stick behind the heavy shield, or you just trying reviving someone, so once you do that you will die out of nowhere, so what we should do is not play as a team to avoid that.
Do you also think that if people knew how to avoid this with a grenade, we would complain? As soon as I see a heavy player, I actually take a nuke, there's no time even if I rush in as a light player, you won't avoid it, and there shouldn't be ANYTHING in the game that one shots the entire team.
Maybe in your rank you don't see people who even know what the nuke is, but we're suffering here, however, as I talked about the nuke, I was talking about the recon because it's OP and not balanced, so I'm not judging the heavy class, I'm judging the thing that ruins the fight/gameplay.

I have 300h of game-time and these are the suggestions I have to make:
Heavy:

It is the strongest class in the game, being the one who has the most HP as well as the one who deals the most damage.

Nerfing the RPG to 100 damage sounds reasonable, so Lights can have a chance.

Health regen time should be slower than the other classes.

Nukes are still doable with Red Cannisters.

C4 and RPG should have more strategic uses, instead theyāre mostly used to deal damage. Which is fine, but the amount of damage they give is overwhelming.

Shields are in a good state, but when you have 2 of them in the HHM composition it can be a bit broken and also boring to play against.
Medium:

Overall I think the class is in a good state. It can deal damage but also support the team, which is a great idea.

Defibs are almost there. I donāt think you should be able to defib a player right after you have been defibed. It can be frustrating almost wiping a team just for them to have 2 extra lives. Also the HP each class has when they get ādefibedā is unbalanced.
Light:

The weakest in the game right now, although it is the most fun to play with. In my opinion, it should be the hardest class to play with, but right now itās not even viable competitively.

Lights have a tough time staying alive just from the overwhelming amount of damage Heavyās can deal on them with no need to be skillful. Instead of giving them more HP, a better solution would be to just reduce the damage capacity of Heavy.

The glitch grenade is an amazing idea and would add a great dynamic to the game, unfortunately nobody really uses Light. It could be a little bit tweaked so itās easier to hit.

Invisibility could become OP if you decide to nerf Heavy, as recon has already been nerfed.
Locking one skill per class would nerf HHM without needing to nerf the shields. It would also make the game more interesting, as players would have to learn a variety of skills and compositions.

I wholeheartedly believe the sniper rifle should be removed because it promotes the opposite of teamplay, and instead, it always leads to light classes having 0 objective points.
They can't defend with it, and they can't push with it. The only use case of the sniper rifle is to counter another sniper user, I think the redundancy of the weapon is spelled out right there.

there is another dude who is meleeing the wall hoping it'll breakdown.
there is another guy throwing the wrong canister at the wall to blow it up, I can see his confusion when he stops and looks around for something else to throw.
there is another dude who is playing a Light, I'm spectating him, and he's got a sniper, there is an enemy right infront of him... only 1cm distance, and not only he doesn't land a single shot, he doesn't melee either.
meanwhile the enemy teams definitely have played the game before, they know what is what, they know what they're doing.
there is also another feller that was following an enemy trying to heal him. what is going on.
my missions say 8/6 weekly missions complete, and 20/15 melee weapon kills.. and it doesn't reward me with exp. how do you even manage to break this???

If anybody at embark is reading this the launch bug where the game gets to the EAC screen then closes with no message is back with 1.6.0. It was fixed with 1.5.5, then returned with 1.6.0. The hotfix, 1.6.1, also did not fix it as well as the new 1.7 patch. I have tried the following:
Restarting my computer
Re-installing the game
Re-installing EAC
Verifying the files
Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

Makes no sense at all, input options on a crossplay game should be mandatory since launch, we shouldn't be here literally begging for them to add a basic feature like that. This cannot be considered crossplay the way it is right now.

I've had the weeklies done for a while and now I am looking at one that's incomplete, BUT it's 20/15 Melee Weapon Eliminations O.O
Perhaps buff the cranes a bit? As it is, they don't feel impactful at all aside from being a sniper position. The wrecking ball falls off on contact with any structure, the crane flips after taking a single rocket hit and instead of crushing building, it just lies down on them like it weights nothing.

They usually have some undocumented changes each patch. These shadow changes SHOULD be documented absolutely (if they do exist).
I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but where was this patch 60 days ago when everyone was complaining about the XP gain? Mildly scummy to wait this long to increase it for all the players that DID grind that shit out (me, I just completed the BP like yesterday). I suppose I'm glad it at least happened though for everyone who didn't complete it yet.
Removing the dead go boom was pretty lazy (in line with most of the dev's balance changes tbh). All you really had to do was make the little things not explode immediately and beep so they were actually avoidable. Just a little delay on the explosions and an auditory warning would've worked perfect. I simply find it REALLY funny that dead go boom can be removed, but recon was stuck in the game forever - and still is when removing it until it was reworked would've been FAR healthier for the game.
Same with nukes honestly. Just make it so heavies only get 1 c4. Why does light get 1 breach charge that does less damage, has less explosive radius, and I think destroys stuff less, but heavy gets 2 c4 that allows him to instant kill someone? It's just kind of weird balancing wise. I'd prefer c4 be POWERFUL but you only get 1 at a time but can still place like 2-3 so if you REALLY wanted that nuke you'd have to wait a bit or two heavies would have to spend their c4 charges.
Hey I would like the nukes (that is all of your c4 + any barrel) to not one shot someone. Making objects heavy makes it feel like my character has noodle arms + it still wont fix everyone getting one shot all the time. Placing a c4 and having to wait half a century before being able to explode it also feels bad. From what i can determine the damage on c4 is definitely the problem. Maybe a single ability that can one shot an entire team is a bit much.
True, for the love of god buff the riot shield damage/range or increase the shield hitbox. I can literally only 1v1 with this thing and as soon as a 2nd person looks at me I'm dead. And its ability to 1v1 is contextual to actually being able to get within range.
Light melee has invis and tonnes of movement to get within range and escape safely.
Heavy melee has high HP and shields to get within range and survive
But Medium melee has nothing except running with the shield to close the gap and getting out alive, in which case you have to do some wild aim techs to run diagonally at the enemy to maximise movement and protection which ain't easy to pull off.
I love the idea of riot shield and I've mained it to the white skin, but boy is it way harder to use than all the other medium weapons. I switch to any other weapon and instantly double my K/D or even more

C4 will not stop being hard-meta even if nukes are removed from the game. They have so much utility beyond that, for breaching, protecting cashouts, setting traps, and using them as makeshift grenades.
Just nerf its max deployable count + max amount held from 2 to 1, to bring it in line with the power/flexibility of other Heavy gadgets.
Honestly the balance change today was shit. But atleast they do weekly patches and hopefully do a huge patch next week. No other game company does that. Even if they do huge balance changes every 2 weeks thats still something most other companys dont do embark really cares for their community. They gonna nerf nukes next week aswell. Whenever you return 'Dead Go Boom' game show event back into the game, the best thing you can do that will have a fun experience is to significantly lower the damage output, but the explosion flings players a little bit. Indoors would not make much of a difference, but it will change the dynamic of how you play.
Also it would be funny to see someone flung off of the map due to unfortunate positioning.

Regarding double barrel C4 meta i have a suggestions:
Let's tweak it so you can only stick one C4 on a throwable. Try to add a second? It just falls off. This would also make it possible to get the throw distance back to what it was pre-patch. This keeps the skill in the game without overpowering the C4.
Why This Works: You still get a strong opening in a gunfight, potentially dropping someone to 20-50% health right off the bat. That's a solid advantage but doesn't guarantee a win. It turns the mechanic into a fight starter, not a fight ender. This keeps the C4 powerful and useful, without making it overkill. No need to nerf the damage of a single C4, so it stays a viable option.
This would also remove C4 to be such an auto-pick for heavy. Especially in the final round of ranked.

My problem is that certain things just aren't a good fit for the current ranked format, riot shield and lights in general being good examples of that. Trying to make them viable there creates a lot of issues elsewhere.

Gas is just broken as fuck. The damage should be exponential. Start off slow, allowing you to run through it with minimal damage. Ramp up the damage if you stay within it.

Idk why peeps ask like these devs are entirely fresh, the game was advertised as "made by old battlefield devs" I'm pretty sure (unless I delusioned that into existance). I don't think the devs of this game are fresh peeps either or.
I would MUCH prefer much larger patches every 2-3 weeks to the current patches every week that also usually include game breaking bugs that need to be patched two days later anyway. Weekly patches don't matter if the patches are inconsistent quality at best. I'd rather they slow down the patches, but let us know some of the stuff they're working on ahead of time while also releasing hot fixes like they have been. More substantial updates rather than drip feeding us stuff.
My favorite thing as a player FOR SURE though is when we get a new, overly expensive shop item bundle instead of actual new content or major issue fixes š! It's real frustrating to see issues the community has complained about and reported non-stop go ignored in favor of shop items being added that have probably all been made months ago. Where's text chat? Team color clarity changes? Substantial recon and defib adjustments? Gun balancing to make the FCAR not the obvious best gun? Ranked reserve swapping (one of the major causes of the ranked meta being atrociously boring)? Grouping with randoms after a match is over? Gun stats being inaccurate in the menu? Gun sight misalignment issues? Visual recoil making guns like the LH1 and V9S needlessly worse to use? ETC.
There've been positive changes for sure, but then there's major issues like I just listed that haven't been addressed at all. It's hard to not be frustrated when most of the changes feel like weird, unfun, superficial changes and bug fixes at best. Like nerfing weapons into irrelevance, or not fixing the fundamental issues with recon, or obvious, basic qol changes not being made. I appreciate nukes being nerfed, but can't they be changed in a fun for everyone way? Stuff like that.

the appearance of the prop would be a big blue jug. when thrown, it creates a large puddle of blue āslimeā. when you run on this puddle, it is similar to ice. your speed is slightly gained but your control is lost.
this would be useful in moments such as when you and your team want to cover large linear area, you can throw down and gain slight speed.
offensively, you can throw at enemies feet to make them slip and lose control.
text chat is not in the game sadly. I hope that text chat makes it into the game ASAP for obvious reasons
Why was the crossplay bug not fixed in this patch? I have crossplay disabled but Iām still getting forced into PC lobbies anyways. It only took like a day to release a hotfix last time

If you are "fixing" the red canister, i.e. killing it completely, at least buff heavy's weapons and RPG by a lot. It was long overdue after all of the nerfes, but now it would be sinful and atrocious not to do.
They should move defibs to medium abilities, give it multiple charges, increase charge up time and remove spawn protection along if any other buffs or nerfs. Now you canāt run the most op gadget along with healing beam and the game will be fun.

Considering from beta to this day I've only ever been nuked about 10 times total, yes, I'm complaining that people would rather have it removed than use their movement keys to dodge it, than keep enemy respawn timers in mind and their resources, than play off site and not nuts touching yellow cashbox at all times when explosives exist etc. The only non-cringe nerf to nukes is to make c4's timer not reset upon death, making them less frequent for those that have severe trouble moving out of the radius of a slow moving giant thrown canister that literally beeps its presence as it sails through the air. As it stands I've never had a problem with being nuked because I don't wait to catch it with my face as it careens towards me from one of three spawn positions i can know it's inbound from by literally looking at the top left corner of my screen and noting that a team with a heavy has just respawned, meaning there will likely be a nuke in a game with destructible buildings in which the objective just so happens to be half the time.
As somebody who mains the medium nade launcher I don't hold out hope for any good changes considering their big buff to it was 10 extra damage per shot, instead of the numerous other suggestions that would have raised the weapon without making the damage higher. The track record of changes is not looking gg in any form considering how long recon remained as it was while changes like this were made.
Edited PSA: If you're getting nuked regularly you're the type of R6 player that spots a fuze on cams and somehow doesn't connect that he will in fact fuze at some point during the round. Then blames the game because the information that was blindingly available wasn't considered.
If nuke will get remove, can heavy at least get some buff back from the shield hpš¤£
nice XP changes, though I feel dailies and weeklys should feel like a nice bonus rather than required to gain levels in a reasonable time. Still think the time investment if you're not focused on doing the challenges is a bit steep, but I don't know how everyone else feels about it
You heavy players are so delusional its crazy.... @boreal wagon Dude most of those people defending nukes and heavy are people who barely play ranked or are very bad players. I played with tons of insane heavys who were top 200-500 global and they all say heavy is the most busted class. You see double heavy teams every round. Every bronze player can play heavy its so easy. All of those people are brain dead. Atleast embark adresses the nuke problem and will nerf it next week. Heavy will still be broken and takes no skill but thats fine atleast you can counter anything on heavy besides the fk nukes...

I play heavy and EVERY SINGLE TIME I dominate the lobby because of how braindead and effortless it is. I just dont like to play heavy because its boring.. Heavy is in DIRE need of a serious nerf..

Now that nukes are going to be practically removed from the game, this should be a thing:

Rebalance and buff variant:
-Remove Nukes or make only one stickable
-Decrease the shield to 800
-Nerf healing beam
+Bring back old damage and radius on RPG and C4. Make RPG auto-reloading, i.e. without the animation, reduce CD by 10 secs.
+Make C4 a little faster to throw and detonate, as well as a little farther to throw
+Buff Lewis to 260 DPS
+Buff M60 to 280 DPS or make its bipods real, where they'd increase accuracy by a lot.
+Buff Flamethrower DPS by twice. Or by x1.5 and increase range.
+Decrease firerate of SA1014 slitghtly, but make each shard deal 9-10 dmg. Reduce the clip size to 15, but make it 5 shots before pump pause.
+Make MGL32's grenades
detonate on impact.
+Bring Dome shield's old HP back and make it faster to deploy.
+Make it so mesh shield protected from sword.
