Nice idea +1. I've also mentioned before about them adding accuracy % and headshot % onto the scoreboard as it will be very easy to tell who isn't missing a shot at all.

The LH1 scope really needs a change. Its a great weapon by itself but its impossible to use because you cant see diddly-squat. A scope would make it way too op but just change its iron sight

I thought this but for all the skins/sets, but at a very high cost (something like 20x the cost in credits) so that if you want to buy a skin for free with vrs you have to grind a lot for it

It's a glitch with vanish bomb. Hoping the balance team addresses sooner rather than later that light is in a horrible place right now. And isn't viable in ranked. largely, due to the nature of king of the hill. Really only 6 weapons between those two classes used and many of the gadgets are mirror matches so total break down is

This is literally all people use in ranked end of story, the meta hasn't changed at all since launch other than flamethrower, so it's stale and doesn't allow for a lot of diversity...
That's up to the admins to decide what price they will put when buying xp, well if they consider it, but I didn't say about masks and style skins, I said buy with vrs xp for weapons and whether to unlock skins

Would a 5v5 mode be beneficial for the game?
I love the game how it is currently, but I'm also getting tired of having a group of four and now we can't play this amazing game because of the player limit. A 5v5 (or 6v6) mode would probably give players more reason to continue playing and not the same modes all of the time. I feel like it would be cool for there to be a playlist that focuses on 5v5 modes specifically.
Good starting modes could be a payload style mission similar to Overwatch, an oddball game mode like in Halo, typical TDM, and lastly a King of the Hill mode that focuses on occupying a space on the map just to name a few. I know these aren't perfect I'm just throwing out ideas into the void. Also this is specifically meant for casual so I really don't care if having a 5v5 sounds unbalanced.
It's togglable nature is what breaks it. The rework it needs is to just be made non-togglable with a long cooldown.
This would fix it completely as it wouldn't be able to be spammed making it more tactical and situational.
Add a segment to the end of the time on the cashout that only goes into that time if it's actively being captured else cash it out so we don't have to pretend to play for nothing in the last 5 seconds.

CL doesn't have enough self damage. every other explosive is tuned to the max for self damage but apparently you can just spam CL nades at your feet
I'd argue because it's due to no love for solo querers and insanely strict SBMM. Although I'd presume they can't alter much with matchmaking anymore due to lower player count. Clearly the SBMM retained so many new players lmao

Can the devs create a website or even just an extension from the main site. Where you can combine outfits to see what looks good. Iām hesitant when purchasing cosmetics in general but if Iām able to see the whole combo outfit in one go Iād be more inclined to spend money.

I really hate the fact that there is a defacto meta and that certain weapons are just useless and the entirety of the light class is almost useless as EVERYONE runs recon senses and it makes it impossible to pull a half decent flank to disrupt teams and you get out dpsed half the time because the light class in my opinion does too little damage to make up for the little health they have.

theres potential for you to kill an entire lobby with gas grenade if they dont move out the way. learn how to space your team when facing teams that use nukes, or play around aps. you can also goo grenade a nuke as well. ill agree that nukes are strong, but theyve been featured in basically every single promotional video, they're not going anywhere anytime soon

not the same. Gas grenades gives you an indication you are being damaged. a Nuke can kill you without warning. Only thing that comes close is Dead go Boom. The accuracy rate of goo grenading a nuke is probably very low compared to the success rate of Nukes killing. The fact you are defending a nuke is crazy tbh.
gas only kills if you don't move out of the way but there is something you can do

A lot of people seem to have an issue with Recon, but I think an easy solution is that when you use the recon that it does like a pulse at the edge of the screen to tell you where the recon came from so you have a directional idea of where it had come from. Might help

Is it possible for Light Machine guns such as the Lewis Gun and M60 to be mounted on compatible pieces of cover for a major accuracy boost and spread reduction in exchange for being stationary? The weapons have bipods on them, and it would pair perfectly with the Heavy's deployable cover gadget, since its the perfect piece of cover to mount the weapon as a bipod and do that while defending a location. I think this would add a great amount of defensive gameplay for this game where defensive gameplay can be very difficult at times. There can also be other covers that're naturally on the map that should allow bipod mounting for lewis gun and m60, it can just be the use button, and doing a directional movement input or quick melee can undo it, but in getting off the mounted stance, you lose the accuracy and bullet cone benefits making it only work in choke points or in pre-setup positioning, since you're standing still, you become very vulnerable to headshots since you cant crouch or anything while maintaining the mounted stance. If the cover you are mounted on is destroyed, it should automatically undo the mounting since the cover is gone, so explosives deactivate it. Using your ability such as mesh shield should undo mounting aswell. Allowing this can provide for gameplay thats alot more passive, reactive, and position based, benefiting people who set up ambushes, or defensive choke points, in a way thats still countered by anyone who uses gas or fire bombs. If the cover is low enough, crouching while mounting should be possible, but otherwise you must stand to mount on cover thats sufficiently high enough for you to do so while standing.
again, a matchmaking request for a future update... please stop loading us in single to matches in progress that are ending - it happens all the time, sometimes 3 and 4 times in a row. no fun. I also have many screenshots where I'm loading in to start a match solo as well. please

Heavy Gang for Heavy Gaming. I really love playing defensively and setting up traps and fortifications, using shields, etc, so mounting my gun would make my defensive gameplay so much better, when I'm using deployable cover and defending a choke point. And the M60 has absolutely horrific bullet cone and accuracy at times, so this would be a very good balance for the weapon's gameplay. I really hope the devs find the suggestion buried underneath all of the others and make it into reality alongside my other one for the gasmask compatibility with helmet cosmetics.

Games good but it needs more unlockable stuff through free to play, or challenges. Think back to Black Ops 3 with hero gear... that for each operator and just a load of FREE challenges that unlock cool stuff. Currently once you max out VRS and battle pass all you play for is ranked, and that is unplayable without a full 3 stack. Adding free challenges to go for makes people use different stuff.

Game mode idea: Instant Cashout > this game mode would push players to be the first to complete a cashout because it won't be possible for other teams to steal it. The idea is that instead of waiting out for other players to be the bait who open the cashbox and start the cashout before every other team casually comes to kill them, there should be real hype from the very first seconds of the game rushing to be the ones doing the deed.
- 4x cashboxes for 3 teams. A cashout grants 10k instantly. The only way to win is to be the team that cashed out the fastest the highest number of cashboxes.
- If there is a tie, where 2 teams cashed out 2 times each, a 5th cashbox worth 25k pops. If the 3rd team that hasn't cashed out anything gets to it, then it's the 3rd team that'll win.
I'm getting sick of capping and re-capping cashouts only for them to be stolen at the last seconds by teams that made it an art not to engage with the objective only till the end. I keep uninstalling the game because it feels like by now I'm only winning by luck, there's no way to secure a winning strategy when you queue solo, it feels. This type of game mode would feel more balanced and at least give the satisfaction that it does pay off to bother being a good team mate, who plays objectives and caps for the team.

mgl32 is my primary weapon man, what should I do if there are 1 or 2 aps turrets on the ground defending the cashout and them play around it? go in and melee fight them?
I like the idea, but at the same time that'd be really short matches, which can be fun in their own right but a lot of the best moments in the finals come from those moments of "Can they steal it in time" or "Can we hold out long enough" and instant deposits would sorta kill that.
If I would suggest an alternative, why not make it like normal quick cash, but every second the box is in the deposit station 1k is drained from it, and deposited in the teams bank (Kind of like domination modes where points are earned by time controlling territory in other FPS games). that way captures, even brief, have value, and people are still rushing to be the first to get it in, since every second of hold, even if they die, has value, which might outweigh the loss of a team wipe.

1, your grenades have a larger blast radius than the APS range, so you can demo them with smart grenade placement. 2, you have a whole equipment bar, if you aren't taking gear to counteract such things like an rpg with wide blast radius or gas grenades with even wider, that's your call. 3, there's a reason you have a squad, coordinate with them and have them deal with APS the same way they'd ask you to make holes in walls, floor, cover. 4 I believe goo on an APS or turret will break it. 5, there are various barrels you can use that ignore the APS when detonated, so use your environment more.
My primary is the CL-40 and I go in fully accepting there are counters to it, just like heavies have bubbles and mesh shield for bullets.

Yeah I like your version! I'm trying super hard to keep playing the game and even considering buying skins and stuff and usually I buy stuff after a winning streak. Having loss after loss when you have the highest objective score each time is depressing. I used to not care so much because I'd gun for maxing battle pass/account level/Steam achievements but I got all those so now mostly trying to live off the thrill of winning or having a "gg I did my part" feel if I lose. I don't feel like I did my part when I capped and lost the cap because 2v1 or 3v1 when team mates are respawning š¦ So yeah anything that helps recognize that "hey I capped and held the fort for as long as possible" would go a long way in getting the same good vibes I had my first hours in the game.
can we get some CROSSHAIR options? i mean for a shooter those crosshair settings a totally trash and it suckt to need an crosshair overlay

Strange that snipers cant one hit headshot but the devs are ok with heavies C4 nuking entire teams through walls? No wonder people are leaving in droves. Apex legends doesn't have a player count problem yet this game does.

Iāve noticed this and kind of gotten more and more annoying. But when playing tournament and you donāt have a full squad youāre basically screwed because no one can fill it(join mid or beginning of the game). It just makes games unfair from start to finish even if you do somehow qualify. Hopefully this changes in the future š
The solo queue experience in this game is absolutely abysmal. There should be a "solos only" queue, and SBMM should be removed from all unranked queues. Embark is slowly syphoning out all things that made the game fun and exciting, and it feels stale, boring, and downright infuriating most of the time to play this trash game. Example: What is the point in throwable objects when they don't move 5 feet before they fall to the ground? What happened to the "VR gameshow" fantasy? The game is becoming every other stale, boring, SBMM'd sweatfest that every other game is. Embark, I know this is your first game as a studio, but you're making all the wrong moves right now. I hope you all can turn it around, but until SBMM is removed from casual play, this game won't be for me. Good luck, everyone.

There should be an option to be able to select cosmetics that you donāt own to make combos with easier. If you have on selected items that you donāt own and try to back out of the style category, something will pop up, prompting if you want to pay.
I wish I could agree but Heavy is already a bitch to fight. Anything making them better would mean rebalancing the others too
Let me re-roll daily challenges with my VR's. I have everything, theyre maxed out and just sitting there.
Heavy already gets defeated easily by lights who use the Stun gun, or glitch grenades. But I'm of the philosophy that we should buff everybody, I would love the mounted gun ability, but we could also make more abilities for the other two, the Medium would benefit greatly from having some more tools, maybe a building repair tool, and light can use a defensive tool for them too, like maybe a deployable camera, or caltrops that go on the floor and hurt players that walk on it.

Remove dead go boom. Like any mele running player cannot get a kill without dying. It makes getting kills with a light nearly impossible with out dying. Its a big problem that makes the game more luck based and is another variable that nerfs lights and buffs heavys as if heavys were'nt strong enough.
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

the thing about nukes that needed/needs to be nerfed was not the damage but the AOE. I literally shot C4 on a vault from like 10 feet away and still died from it as a medium (not sure if I was full health), c4 currently does less damage than lights breach charges, its stupid.

Hey the finals devs, can you consider adding keyboard and mouse to ps5, Xbox series s, and other consoles? Mastering the recoil on controller is kinda hard and if keyboard and mouse were to be added on ps5 I would play the game a lot more

Nerf nukes. Detonateable explosives should only do around 40 or 50 damage but have quicker activation times. Make them useful for stage destruction. Also experiment with reducing C4 mass after the extreme damage nerf so we can still chuck bombs around

The problem with role queue locking is that there isnt enough variations in the line up to justify having a role lock. For games that do have a role lock, they tend to have a variety of classes for people to pick. Hence, people normally have a main class and a filler class.
Then what about finals case? Theres only 3 classes. If you main heavy, and fill medium. But the only role available is light, then what do you do?
Fill and do shit? Probably get called out for throwing, even if your trying your best? Or blame the game for locking you into light when you dont even play it. Or blame the devs for longer queue times.
Finals need more class variations before they even consider to introduce role locking. My guess is atleast 6 classes for variation.
But thats just my personal opinion on the matter.
Instead of role locking, perhaps they could lock specializations so no teammates can have the same one. Also, maybe on top of that they could allow only two of the same class per team.
for the love of god, can glitch nade bypass APS already? the whole point of the damn thing is to counter gadgets without having to shoot it, then it gets countered by a gadget forcing you to expose yourself to shoot it? glitch nade is already like the one legitimate reason to take light and it gets gimped

Changes I would make:
Lights should have the c4 and heavy should have breach charges. Heavy has too many damage utilities and could use some changes.
Lights should be able to regen health faster while moving and standing still or have 50 more HP. One or the other not both.
Invis grenade should keep you cloaked while using abilities, reviving, etc. The duration should not be stopped by anything except taking damage, glitch utilities or attacking in any way.
Glitch grenades need to be more like a sticky grenade or explode on impact. So many times I try to land one and it bounces away from the intended target.
Tazer needs a big change. Currently it's 50/50 if it works or not. Often I'll taze an enemy from behind and somehow they are able to make a quick 180 and beam me before I even get a chance to get my gun out or as in barely starting to shoot. Not sure if that's cheaters but it happens often. On the flip side the tazer animation lasts a bit too long and even if you do outplay a bad taze you get gunned down by others shortly after. I would have the duration shortened BUT make it so you can't ads, hipfire spread is affected and any movement is reduced to 5% or less.
All this feedback sure would be more constructive if any of us were being placed in games with people of our rank

Nukes are definitely broken. BUT DON'T STRAGHT UP REMOVE THEM. It's a good thing for games like these to have unique playstyles like this. I think it should be reworked/nerfed to the point where it's not op but still a viable option. I think a twist with the velocity of red canisters and see how things go would do good.

There are definitely issues with sounds. I had so many situations where I barely heard sounds such as healing beams, mesh shields, and especially footsteps, that helps you understand your surroundings. And these happen a lot when there are no loud sounds that could overlap it, so definitely not just me missing it.
Nukes and Recon sense still too strong, but moving in the right direction. Maybe just have C4 do less damage when it's attached to a throwable.

I wish wallhack abilities were never a thing in any games. it just reward bad skill behavior and punish classes that rely on subtility ( melee classes or light class ext..) also a guy mentioned that explosives should work as knockback or ways to destroy buildings with big impact and minimal damage.

Honestly i was a recon player for a long time but i also have heal maxed and currently main it. I agree that wallhacks shouldnt be in the game. If they remove recon tho THEY have to remove those damn nukes too. But i think both are unique and should be reworked. Maybe rework recon to a scan like bloodhound in apex and nukes for mostly destruction and maybe half the damage or even less they deal now.
DAY 4 OF ASKING FOR HEARABLE FOOTSTEP AUDIO
The game has quite a lot of audio issues that need to be addressed, something minor is when you mag dump the lh1 m, some if not most of the shots donāt make any sound. The biggest problem is the footstep audio, even when night mode is turned on, my teammates footsteps are bass boosted but not other people. Take inspiration from overwatch, there if the enemy is walking than you can perfectly hear it and even can identify which enemy (to the point of which hero out of the 30+ is trying to be stupid and flank you without crouching) it is, but if theyāre crouching then theyāre completely silent. Since crouching wouldnāt fit this game because of how fast paced it is I propose this:
When running the enemy makes loud footsteps noice that can be heard through walls and can also be identifiable to know which enemy it is, light, medium or heavy. Zip lines and jump pads also have to be noisy so that itās possible to know if someone left the area youāre trying to hide in for example.
BUT
if the person is walking, (not sprinting) than theyāre completely silent, this way itās going to give people the ability to silently flank enemy teams if they wish too.
It is beyond frustrating that the sound and hit marker for assists is the same as the kill leading to hundreds of times where I am like, "Hell yeah, I got em. Ope, nevermind." Stolen kills are always frustrating but this makes them worse

Am i the only one who thinks this game is gonna die if we don't get more content soon. 2-3 new maps, atleast 3 new guns, atleast 1 new special, a few new gadgets, a custom game mode, arcade game modes (deathmatch, CTF, golden gun) etc...
The aim assist is way overpowered in this game. Its not "assisting them" it is just flat out aiming FOR them! Huge difference. It is rediculous.
Overwatch only has 3 classes, the only problem is 90% of players can't play light without using the gimmicky invis that's countered by mediums recon, you need god like reflexes to use evasive dash to evade all the nukes, mines and grenades and grapple is trash.
If they buffed or added more options for light like maybe a flak jacket gadget or a self heal that boosts movement speed, or things that are more casual friendly for the heavys and mediums than it would be fine but rn unless you're a crazy masochist like me and like playing sword melee and exploding every minute than you're gonna dread getting stuck as light š

No thats a pretty fair point hes making. There are a LOT of sound issues in the game rn. Half of the Lh1 shots make no sound, sometimes you hear infinite shooting coming from your teammates and sometimes footsteps make bo sound at all. Ive had a heavy run up behind me while I was resing a teammate and I never heard him until he was melee range

the throwing knives deal great damage but the problem comes from the clunkiness of the projectiles and the inconsistency of their behavior.
some things that could be done to resolve this issue:

šŖ allow right click to be held

I think a balancing factor that would fit in well with the game would be bullet velocity. Making different guns have different bullet speeds will not only raise the skill ceiling, but make balancing guns a lot more interesting. It'll also naturally make getting shot across the map a lot more skill based since you'll have to learn how far ahead to aim your gun. We've got infinite ammo, so may as well make it more interesting to use said ammo
Guns like the sniper could have near instant or still be hitscan since that's their purpose.

Balancing pass when? Medium is overtuned compared to the other two classes. Either Medium needs a substantial nerf or they're going to have to buff Light and Heavy
Recon should be reworked to have 3 charges. When activated a charge is consumed and a motion sensor bursts around the player revealing all within the bubble like the recon grenade thing

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

Yeah I see that becoming the case, but I don't really know what else they could do that wouldn't destroy the identity of the weapon. As it is right now, if you can aim there's really no reason to use the ak over the fcar, as it's losing 200ish dmg a mag for a ttk that's on par with light full autos. A ROF change would atleast be a decent quick fix that seems like it would alleviate the major issue most people have with the ttk, then they can play with numbers and find something that works better long term
or they go the route that they took with the xp54/m11 balancing and give the AKM faster reload, same way the m11 has bigger mag/faster reload but worse recoil/range over the XP54

HUGE GAMEPLAY SUGGESTION: If your stealing the cashout with like 2 seconds before the game ends the timer should stay at 0 while your actively stealing to make things interesting. in other words you still have a chance to steal if you got on the cashout before time ended making it a buzzer beating play or play of the game

Please make it so only 1 person can be a certain class. Let the choice go by rank. Highest rank (FP) on team gets first pick. They have 5 seconds to choose or it auto picks their last-played class. After that, an extra 10 seconds is given to switch out any weapons or gadgets

it is configurabel, but only in the sense that it lets you remap input (e.g. from your physical controller to mouse/keyboard or to the controller steam presents to the game). Steaminput api is something different. A game using steaminiput api can define a set of "actions" e.g. an action "aim" and specify the type of input (e.g. 2 axis analog movement). Where that input ultimately comes from is then only configured in steam and automatically supports all input steam supports. so you could map it to an analog stick or you could map it to gyroscope and it would work with ds4/ds5/switch pro/ steam controller (since they all have gyro and are supported by steam). the game wouldnt have to add support for every controller specifically

The game balancing and mechanic is dysfunctional and questionable for any respectable shooter. At first I thought this game just leverages a Rock Paper Scissors type gameplay.. but then I realized no.. it's just a poorly balanced game. The only saving grace so far is the top class destruction tech and the customization / graphics
- Pocket healing : Limit / reduce capacity of healing beam
- Increase cool down of Defib / move Defib to specialization
- Increase sway and risk to self with C4 On Barrells
- Change Recon Sense to operate exactly as Sonar grenade / Sonar pulses and outlines / blurs of people in intervals not constant tracking
- Increase damage fall off of other weapons to reduce popularity of Fcar

Currently there are so many bugs in the game that it has become "near unplayable" (extremely frustrating).

APS is pretty wack at most times, ive literally seen nukes go into the aoe and it not destroy it, removing nukes shouldnt be the way to fix the nuking problem just changes, such as actually changing how nuking works make it so it has a random path when c4s are placed on it or make it so it can be blown up by shooting it, nuking is ruining the game experience so it needs to be adressed but removing it shouldt be an option imo

Removing nukes will do more good than harm. Nukes allow heavies to net cheap, low skill, undeserved multi-kills. With a lack of consistent counterplay. They punish other players for playing with their team and is incredibly unhealthy for ranked.
If they don't want to remove nukes the fix is easy just give 1 C4 to heavy so nukes are still in the game without being a OS so they're a way to deal chunk damage like the RPG

The game is amazing until you get nuked with zero chance to react or fight back.
Nuke is way more annoying than recon senses. At least you still have a chance to out gun a recon sense user. You can't outgun a nuke or shoot it down midair. 0 Counterplay and instant death.
3 quick suggestions, in light, if you turn on thermal vision while cloak, it decloaks you, i think it'd be nicer if you stayed cloaked, it's like a personal gadget.
on that note, i think there should be more visual feedback in your viewmodels arms that you're cloaked when youre using thermal vision, cloaked and uncloaked arms looks too similar, occasionally im playing like a rat thermal visioning in smokes and i dont realize im uncloaked so im just crouch walking towards someone in full vision of everyone like a dork.
also i wish turning on thermal had like a bit of a grace period where it doesnt recognize a mouse click for like a fraction of a second after turning it on, my old mouse has been doing instadoubleclicks lately and it instantly turns off thermals putting it on full cooldown, not game breaking but i wish it had that lil bit of qol.

Simply changing the behavior or the red barrel with c4 on it is enough imo (like they did to the other barrels), it will still do A LOT of damage, could still wipe 3 people, but, it will not be as accurate and good as simply using your weapon like all the other class have to, if 3 people are inside a small room holding a cashout, nuke them, if they are smart they will hide behind a APS, but in a 1v1 1v2, aiming and shooting will be better, making the Nuke situational rather than just better in every scenario. Right now 90% of heavy just run around with a nuke in hand and as soon as you see them you know you're dead because of the speed and accuracy of the red canister :(
Edit to respond : removing 1c4 and keeping accuracy, will not nerf it enought, u will die, or be low, they will switch to rpg and byebye, basically not really changing anything/ And yeah if u blow it before the aps, the radius is so huge that u die behind the aps, but that can be chaged easily too :p imo the best nerf without removing it entirely is just making it go to narnia when u have c4 on it

DAY 5 OF ASKING FOR HEARABLE FOOTSTEP AUDIO
The game has quite a lot of audio issues that need to be addressed, something minor is when you mag dump the lh1 m, some if not most of the shots donāt make any sound. The biggest problem is the footstep audio, even when night mode is turned on, my teammates footsteps are bass boosted but not other people. Take inspiration from overwatch, there if the enemy is walking than you can perfectly hear it and even can identify which enemy (to the point of which hero out of the 30+ is trying to be stupid and flank you without crouching) it is, but if theyāre crouching then theyāre completely silent. Since crouching wouldnāt fit this game because of how fast paced it is I propose this:
When running the enemy makes loud footsteps noice that can be heard through walls and can also be identifiable to know which enemy it is, light, medium or heavy. Zip lines and jump pads also have to be noisy so that itās possible to know if someone left the area youāre trying to hide in for example.
BUT
if the person is walking, (not sprinting) than theyāre completely silent, this way itās going to give people the ability to silently flank enemy teams if they wish too.

As an competitive FPS player the biggest issue in the game for me personally are not the bugs, the random crashes or the balancing.
It is without a doubt the complete lack of grind-ability.
I cannot grind to get better. There are no custom games, no replay system and the competitive mode is just about how many hours you put in.
I cant even loose my rank when I'm on a loosing streak.
I though the game was about reaching THE FINALS, yet there are no finals to reach.

This is one thing that so many people fail to understand. Sure we've kept playing regardless of getting killed by nukes or something cheesy like stuns or recon before the nerf but what about the average player?
Everyone keeps thinking that it's because of some random reason but I'll bet the mechanics with no counterplay is the biggest reason why people get turned off the game.
No one wants to feel like they are getting BS'ed but the people who rely on these mechanics to get kills don't care. As long as they go 4-9 they are happy.

Remove the stun gun. Itās the most cowardice weapon that gets you a free kill for nothing. Also the prop shot challenge to damage an opponent with an arena carriable donāt work. Tried multiple time with explosives, gas and fire.
honestly a nice buff for light is making them regenerate health much quicker so u can get back into fight quicker or get a save
My remarks for a better game
- Make the red barrel heavier when something is attached to it, like all others (this nerfs nukes definitly)
- Heavy : only 1 C4, or if you keep double C4, lower its damage. (It should still destroy things as it is)
- Heavy : RPG, only 100 DMG (too OP right now) (it should still destroy as it is)
- Ranked : make it role queue : (1 Light, 1 Medium, 1 Heavy) it will prevent stupid comps and increase skill requirements to climb. Make one ladder for light, for medium and for heavy, so a player could be "Diamond Medium" "Silver Light" and "Gold Heavy". Players who launch ranked can chose which roles they agree playing with, or many roles, or all roles, and will be fit into corresponding queues. Also, before launching the ranked as a team, each player picks his role before queuing. (Check Overwatch role queue system, it works well)
- Ranked : make it so that the real rank is what makes people queue against each other. Actually a bronze could be fit into a team with a diamond, this is unacceptable, and people would be ready to wait a bit more in queue time for a better quality game. In QP, match people with their hidden mmr, this is fine, but in ranked only Rank matters. If you are bronze, you play vs bronze players, no hidden mmr needed.

I recall in Overwatch they nerfed Junkrat's concussion mines, which worked like C4, by letting him keep multiple charges, but only allowing him to deploy one at a time (A second would delete the first) maybe something like that could be considered as a nerf for C4 nukes

I love how everyone's response to balance complaints is: that's not an issue in ranked. Like everyone only plays ranked and that is the only metric for balancing the game. You don't need to be skilled to use the nukes, you can wipe a diamond team even if you're a silver player, and people still talking about nerfing the medium and shit, people are only playing NUKES, not even using the heavy weapons, they just use C4's.
They will do like activision, after losing many players, they will listen to the community. Activision only implemented all player requirements in mw3. I also stopped playing the game until they do something about it.

Nukes don't need to be deleted or Nerfed anymore, just reworked, Nukes are surely a fun and creative part of the game that should stay but it shouldt ruin everyone else games.
- C4 should explode in 1 shot just like mines.
- Go back for the ~200 dmg C4 so even 1 C4 deals tons of damage to the heavy who drop it.
- Red Canister should be more erratic with an attachable on it.
- Reduce the weight of the C4 on all the other throwables by a tiny bit.
You all may think its more a buff than a Nerf or fix, you will be able to drop the Nukes a little bit further again and deal again more damage but there's a key difference...
1 hp C4 is the key, if you have ever tried to make a mines Nuke you will notice how this is a good but also a bad idea, one single shot to your barrel/cannister and you are dead, Nukes are always gonna be dangerous tool and that's okay but if should be a danger for the user too, so by this way, a heavy running with a Nuke will be a danger for everyone else just like now but also a danger for himself and his team, since 1 single shot to its nuke and him just like his team will blow up in tons of little coins

@upper citrus There's no defensive class, not even Medium even when its the one with turret, mines and tons of recon items, Heavy its a destructive class with some Tank options, but not a defensive class, heavy has RPG, C4, Mines, Hammer, Medium can be a support and also an defensive class, Heavy can be a Destructive but also a defensive class, Even Light can work as a defensive class with the motion sensors, Sniper, dagger, etc. The classes by themselves have actually very good options
I think the problem with the current nukes are the insane blast radius, making it way to easy to do consistently, if you build the mini nukes with lights breach charges they're much harder to hit with red canisters. Maybe just a slight range reduction could be the right nerf

Balancing between classes is horrendous right now, the last two patches they play with the medium class with kid gloves and fake nerfs (FCAR 1 damage nerf a joke, Defib nerf meaningless, Recon nerf meaningless). Where is real balancing patch?

Damage reduction for FCAR made the damage at range take more shots to kills. So not a "fake nerf" . Rushed and risky defibs can be punished very hard now, and people are still using recon? Must be hard stuck silvers recon isnt worth using anymore.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

As an competitive FPS player the biggest issue in the game for me personally are not the bugs, the random crashes or the balancing.
It is without a doubt the complete lack of grind-ability.
I cannot grind to get better. There are no custom games, no replay system and the competitive mode is just about how many hours you put in.
I cant even loose my rank when I'm on a loosing streak.
I though the game was about reaching THE FINALS, yet there are no finals to reach.

It's not about developing a game, I know how hard it is to develop a game, the game in the last 30 days peaked 120k players, and it lost 57% of the players count, and it dropped all the way down on twitch category, when it was the third/fourth, no one is streaming it anymore.
There is 3 points that everyone where asking for since the beta, nerfing nukes and recon, and getting better anti cheat because of hackers.
I do play all classes, I personally main medium/heavy, and I do always say nerf recon despite it's my favorite, but I know that it's really OP, and I do play heavy depends on the teammates picks, and I usually get a better KDA when I play heavy than medium and light, that's because of nukes.
Heavy is a class who is supposed to hold the area, and to defend the other teams, he got 2 shields, and goo gun ability, everything is defending for him, despite that, he deals the most damage, and he does everything, even the team wipe is always because of his C4.
The C4 doesn't want a skilled player, as I mentioned before, if your team is diamond and a silver player playing with C4, he will wipe you, if it's not from the first fight, it might be from the second, APS turret doesn't stop the nukes, it only stops the grenades, and it's really rare if it stopped a nuke.
So where is the developers? From the beta they nerfed the light and now you don't see him in game, they nerfed the medium, and they didn't get near the heavy, despite that everyone is talking about it.

The sniper in this game is so horrible in all the fps the sniper is the weapon that does the most damage but in the finals feel like playing with a water gun you have to increase the damage
It seems really disnegenous to me to bring up player count, when the game offically released during the holiday season, when a large amount of people were home with a bunch of free time to play games. Also the game is f2p. So a large drop post holiday season should be expected. Many people of course are going to try the game out and decide whether or not it's for them.

Please add a proper camera recenter / gyro disable button. So, gyro aimers can stop using the communication wheel as a gyro disable button since you (Embark Studios Devs) didn't give us one. This is crucial for "gyro always on" players inparticular. Being that using the comm wheel to to disable gyro to play more functional and optimal is hella jank. You're whining so much about the nuke when without it the Heavy would be as bad as the Light. The game is so unbalanced the nuke has become a necessary tool to keep Heavy viable.
Also, "they nerfed medium" is laughable... they did some limpwristed "nerfs" that continue to maintain Medium overrepresentation throughout ranked tournaments. If the nuke gets nerfed Medium is going to need FCAR rate of fire decreases, further Recon nerfs, increased defib cooldown, etc.
Mediums need to pipe down, they have it so good right now while Lights and Heavies are praying for a buff or that Mediums get an actual nerf this next patch.

Is there a reason that jump pads have been working less consistantly every update? Ill be under fire and needing to pad out, so i place the pad, walk on it, and proceed to stay on the ground standing on the pad...Its not just a once and a while thing, this has been every game at least twice per game
If you place a jump pad on the ground and are already standing on it, you won't get the jump boost, you have to either step off the pad and then back on, or place the pad away from your feet.
Youāre way off. Itās due to the lack of fun-factor for solos, strict SBMM, and very little content currently. It was bound to happen but the count is stable and very misleading.

Competitive modes always boil down the most optimal way to win.
You will never balance a game and keep it enjoyable if you balance for ranked concerns.
The META will never be defeated because of it's nature in competitive gameplay.

My understanding is the player that leaves gets docked points. However, the team that takes loses due to being thrashed by a full team (3v2) also pays a penalty, unfairly. My view is you should be docked double the loss rate and the team should incur only half the loss (if last place due to this event).

You have plenty of options to take the entire platform down (attacking the weakest point). Grenade launcher, explosives, rocket launcher. Furthermore, you can drop a jump pad, zip line, etc.. As a medium with a grenade launcher I do this ALL THE TIME. You're not safe on a platform.
As long as the vault is under the 6 o'clock point you have enough time to destroy the platform and steal the vault.

Hey fuckers. Here to break up the usual begging for nukes to be deleted from the game and MNK to return to consoles.
If I could buff light this is what I would do.
-Make dash cooldown lower. Make it a bit snappier.
-Also buff the grapple. Let it allow you to retain your momentum better at the end of a grapple. Lower CD. Maybe 2 charges?? Not sure how I feel about 2 charges imo.
-Make dagger and throwing knives alternate attack able to be held mid animation and finish the animation when you release your alternate fire.
-Make motion sensor have increased range and not have as loud of chirps.
-Make glitch grenade explode on impact of a shield. Lower reg non shield impact fuse time by half.
-Make the throwing animation for nades in general faster.
I think you could incorporate all these buffs and you don't make light OP. I made this list to really just focus on the really bad or really inconsistent parts of the Light kit. Light is still balanced by the fact that you die really really fast.

I want KB/M because I have more fun with it and controllers have a habit of cramping my hand to the point where I have to spend days stretching the muscles back out. Bring KB/M back to console.
My proposal to make light a bit more viable. These are the buffs I propose should be added to light, but to not keep it discriminatory and balanced between the three classes, thereās some changes to other classes too.
Regeneration speed:
Light: 3 seconds to start and 2 seconds to regen to full (75hp/1s)
Medium: 5 seconds to start and 2 seconds to regen to full (125hp/1s)
Heavy: 8 seconds to start and 2 seconds to regen to full (175hp/1s)
I find it really lame when we can't change our abilities during a game

I think nukes are alright to leave in game.
BUT, the red barrel nukes needs weight to be added. Currently, c4 does not affect the flight speed of red barrels at all. But it does affect the throwing distance of green and orange barrels. Why is that? Mines on red barrels make it fly slow, so why is red barrels not affected by c4?
Other then that, nukes are fine. Just rebalance the c4 and breaching charge on red barrels specifically.

Shouldn't have to when cross play is a thing. Cross plat, cross input should be normal. Apex fails to do this no reason this game should also. If I'm playing with it off I'm fine with being locked to roller , but with cross play we should be allowed to use any input , it's already built in no reason to have it disabled. Especially when PC can play either input

Love everything so far in the game just wishing if possible, to make the app turret ranger bigger to combat that nukes from heavies. Given the radius of the explosion from the c4, even setting up the aps turret ahead of time I still find myself being blown up while playing inside of it.

I love triple turrets. I played a game on Seoul, with suspended structures; the three turrets were all placed on the same line of fire with an APS next to each of them. I walked out in front of the lineup and got SMOKED. Laughed my ass off.
Use the environment, if there are turrets and you don't have a glitch, use a red or orange canister to take it out - or to move it if it's on a destructable surface.
For reference I main light, 200 hours.

Recon already got nerfed as people asked for it, otherwise you want a rework not a nerf, itās literally not as it was, Heavy is viable already without the nukes, he is a defensive class, he is not supposed to deal all that damage.
I donāt mind buffing his Lewis gun or M60 whatever, but Iām talking about the nukes which ruins the gameplay, Iām playing heavy and I donāt see any fun when I wipe a team has 2 heavies with a nuke, just a click!
After removing the nuke, they can consider buffing the heavy, I was always saying nerf recon despite I was only using it, but when I give a feedback, I give it to the general gameplay.
Medium is balanced at the moment after the recon buff, just turrets needs to be nerfed a bit.
Heavy is balanced if they removed the nukes, or at least decrease itās damage and radius, deals 220 damage maximum, but not wiping the entire team even if theyāre heavies.
Light is not playable after the beta.

Why the fuck does everyone cry about nukes and rpg so bad? The rpg has been nerfed so hard and its cooldown is so long..:nukes are now properly nerfed and require skill and are high risk to use. (No its not just point and click. Its timing, its being vulernable while youāre holding it, its mid range at best, its situational, it can be blocked by shields or trophy, it cannot one shot full health, theyāre loud as hell)ā¦
What about the goo gun and flamer combo. Or the stun gun xp slaughter, or any of the melee weapons if they get the drop on you. Or a well aimed fcar beaming you across the map. I can see in casual play it being a much bigger issue because of how messy the game mode is (youāre always on top of each providing lots of easy nuke targets where u can throw one easier without being noticed with plenty of freedom to time your detonation ) Playing it on ranked is a whole different story and using a nuke every-time you will get punished. Itās now become very situational for ranked where it used to be the meta⦠ggs to embark for the fix on that.

Running anything that does explosive splash damage works well, I've noticed the cl40 , in my personal experience, is the best option. I've shutdown and even gotten double kills from one shot because of heavies holding nukes. Though when using the cl40 you rely on your teammates having a more consistent DPS so you can have good support chunk DPS
A heavies mesh shield will also block it and dome shield. You can also listen for the obnoxiously loud beeping to hear heās coming and to be aware and seek cover/heavy. But if he has the drop on you and youāre in the openā¦just like any other classes strongest weapons there is not much you can do !
But how do i listen a sniper nuke heavy using red canister?
if they're up close and personal and a bit slow, you can grab their nuke when they throw it and throw it back (have to be quick with it), make sure to start backing away as quickly as you can OR just use something to block le damage
or just throw barrels/other explosives, blocks their vision and may also cause them to accidently throw it to the thrown barrel, blowing themselves up
or, you can counter them completely once Embark gives us the stick skin for the sword

I play console and I just don't see the AA as a big deal. The times it has worked, it completely ruined my sledgehammer kills cause a light ran by me and my camera snapped to him or caused me to dash off a ledge
if an enemy damages c4 they claim it so it will dmg the heavies team.. hence why you can get c4 kills as medium/light

An idea i had recently for modes for The Finals is a playlist focused on 5v5 or 6v6 matches.
These matches include a King of the Hill gamemode where the point moves around the map, forcing teams to keep up with it and not camp, and the Hill will change speeds at random points of the match keeping players active and the destruction mobile.
The next mode is a standard TDM mode but will be set in specific sections of every map so that everyone is in one concentrated space. What makes this TDM so unique is the fact that there will be an event happening every 3 minutes where everything in the map gets repaired so that we won't be fighting in a bunch of debri all round.
Finally, an oddball style game mode similar to the Halo games would be next where a diamond vault spawns on the map, and a player will have to hold on to the vault to accumulate points. Holding the Vault will highlight you putting a target on your back while reducing your movement speed and preventing you from using gadgets and abilities, forcing your team to defend you for as long as possible. The vault can be thrown, but not that far. You can only hold the vault for a certain amount of time before it resets, and the chase continues.
These might be 5v5 modes more than 6v6 because 6 players in one team just sounds way too crazy lmao. Of course, there are some problems, and it isn't perfect, but having more friends to play with would be amazing to have in these free games for once.
Also, they need to add custom games. I want to enjoy how much work these guys did without getting shot at lol

Idk, i played several crossplay games now. some on console, some on PC. KBM is a little easier but controllers aren't that bad. I say to hell with all that aiming garbage and give me a 180 turn button KBM can do that motion easily. this would be far better to help against fighting them than some kind of aim sript

i feel like the FCAR wouldn't be anywhere near as bad if they hadn't given medium an incredible mobility tool in jump pad. You'd think such consistent, strong, all-range damage would be limited by close range vulnerability or a lack of mobility but that's just not how it is

It's impossible to swap to primary gun while riding a zipline. The button to grab/detach the Zipline and swap back to primary it's the same on console and it causes A LOT of trouble during gameplay.

please devs dont buff the lights they are strong enough. Theire movement is very fast and their abilities are also strong! they can come in fights out of nowhere and go out with dash also. There guns are doing fast damage and they are most annoying to play against (stun, invisible, evade dash) thats why I play light hahaha. But please dont buff them because their abilities and weapons are very strong. What I think you guys should do is nerfing the oneshot things in the game because its so annoying to instantly dieing (c4, explosive mines and nuke).
if nukes still exist on april 1st, make it so when the heavy detonates the c4 it always kills them too no matter the distance from the explosion

I used to think they could modify them to have extreme fall-off damage, but in plat+ you get nuked almost every fight, and it's borderline unplayable at the moment.

Add a option to prioritize to change weapon first then to use ziplines or door (like the other one to prioritize reload first then to pick up objects)
Gadget wheel is the inferior choice for layout, you have to go through multiple clicks to select stuff while also obstructing your view.
Directional equipping is what works best, 1 click for every gadget just like PC, and you also get ping on shoulder buttons which is vital for call-outs.

Bruh, do you have any clue how uncomfortable it is to HOLD directional buttons and then also use the stick to select things? Do you have any clue how much downtime it causes in fast paced combat?
The current controller layouts are not the best, there is no workaround and we need a priority check for grabbing zips/switch gun just like it was added for reloading/grabbing throwables. The singular actions also need to be remappable because it makes no sense that you open vaults with a button but then you grab them with another.

The game has quite a lot of audio issues that need to be addressed, something minor is when you mag dump the lh1 m, some if not most of the shots donāt make any sound. The biggest problem is the footstep audio, even when night mode is turned on, my teammates footsteps are bass boosted but not other people. Take inspiration from overwatch, there if the enemy is walking than you can perfectly hear it and even can identify which enemy (to the point of which hero out of the 30+ is trying to be stupid and flank you without crouching) it is, but if theyāre crouching then theyāre completely silent. Since crouching wouldnāt fit this game because of how fast paced it is I propose this:
When running the enemy makes loud footsteps noice that can be heard through walls and can also be identifiable to know which enemy it is, light, medium or heavy. Zip lines and jump pads also have to be noisy so that itās possible to know if someone left the area youāre trying to hide in for example.
BUT
if the person is walking, (not sprinting) than theyāre completely silent, this way itās going to give people the ability to silently flank enemy teams if they wish too.
I beg them for revert/change/bug fix for dagger for four months. It didn't work.

Lights are not op, just annoying to deal with. āCheap kills.ā Also mhl is quite viable. Mh distract while light flanks and kill people quickly. Alternatively you could play hhl and thatās the same strategy.
Maybe allow the option to disable aim assist so that melee characters donāt have that lock on effect.

healing beam rework ideas because as it is rn is boring:
1: Add a right click that overcharges and shoots a healing orb instead, restores 80 hp to all teammates within the explosion aoe and this includes through walls. The kicker: explosive type damage falloff, where the amount restored drops off in proportion to how close they are to the explosion nexus. Alternatively just make it a flat 50 hp.
2: add an indication for when overhealing occurs, and the healing beam overcharges rapidly when overhealing. If you overheal for like 5 seconds, the gun overcharges and you put an emergency heal on the teammate. Lasts for 3 minutes, cannot be stacked, locks out healing beam for the duration it is active. activates automatically when the target loses 50 or more HP, instantly heals them for 50 HP and starts passive regen. Can be removed with glitch effects.
where did people get the impression that heavy is supposed to be 'the defensive class'?
I think the primary issue with the patches so far is they've been fixing things in the simplest, most unfun way possible.
Nukes? You just can't throw them very far now so they're unsatisfying to use and are now more rng dependent (you need to find a red barrel). Why not just make it so the c4 damage doesn't stack but make c4 do more damage? Or only give heavy 1 c4? Could fix the instant kills but keep nukes fun to toss around. Maybe add extra effects like the gas canisters being more bouncy or something.
Recon? The range is nerfed - good - but it's still unsatisfying for both parties to use at all. It could work like a fast recharging long range sonar so it's got some risk reward to it, but instead it's a strange toggleable ability that sticks text on everyone's screen. It's just kind of lazy tbh. It's not fun to use for me when I use it because I can barely see the player outlines (why is it balanced this way, not fun) and it's annoying to toggle on and off. I'd prefer it to use all the charge in a burst but recharge really quickly.
Weapons aren't bad balance wise (fcar withstanding), but visual recoil is still an issue on a lot of guns. I feel like adding bullet travel time/velocity would honestly be a good balancing factor. The revolver still needs work as well, but bullet velocity could at least let it work as a REVOLVER and not a bad shotgun.
UI wise, the weapon stats still aren't accurate. You don't show the enemy specializations mid game but you do at the start (why???). The HP bars highlight the enemies through everything sometimes, but also block my vision other times. The UI in general can get in the way more often than not. The distance you are from a cashout only appears when you DIRECTLY look at it - which annoys me personally.
Sound wise, footsteps are inconsistent. People landing sounds like it's right next to me, but someone sprinting is dead silent at times.
This game is simply full of a ton of little annoyances that build up over time.
Heavy IS the defensive class. It's simply too slow to be offensive. Have you ever tried chasing someone as a heavy when they are medium or light? IMPOSSIBLE. Heavy's whole kit is made to be defensive. Dome shield? Mesh shield? Sure, he has a lot of explosive firepower but the range is pretty bad on everything except his LMG. You can't hit someone past 50m reliably with a rocket launcher. They could simply side step it lmaooo

The gyro aim implementation for controller is great, BUT it still needs some work to make it actually viable.

There should be a separate controller layout scheme just for gyro so you can remap things in a different manner and allow to map inputs to right stick for something that isn't aim.

Right now it is usable but not really competitive with mouse or controller+aim assist, there is still too much emphasis on using sticks to recenter your view.

I think the game mode format in (ranked) tournaments hugely twists people's perception when it comes to balance. For example; the long respawn timer and limited respawns make it so team fights are the best option (which punishes lights and increases the perceived value of nukes/rpgs).
I agree that weighing down nukes makes it much less fun, but I think the players who want nukes gone are gonna complain until that happens. If heavy only had 1 c4, people would've just used 2 heavies on a team and get their nuke that way. And people would've kept complaining.
Regarding recon, I don't think an on demand scanning ability is healthy for the game, its problematic in all gamemodes, and it takes away a lot of player skill expression when it comes to game sense and chases. I would prefer if it was scrapped and replaced with something else (maybe an utility weapon, akin to the goo gun).
The gun mechanics shouldn't be too deep, because you don't want people to be bogged down. Its already quite hard to get used to the movement alone.

Heavy has the highest amount of healing, damage, and defensive abilities, nukes that wipe out a team with one click, people still asking to buff Heavy, and nerf medium.
Note: The Heavy class is supposed to be a defensive class, and for some reason, this class is taking over.
Light should be buffed because after the beta, this class is dogshit, it's supposed to have the highest damage, extremely fast movement.
Note: The Light class does no damage at all, even if it stuns an enemy, most of the time he gets killed, and doesn't even have a chance to move, the medium's turret is enough to kill him.
The medium is balanced, maybe the FScar needs one more damage nerf, recon needs to be reworked, and the turret needs a nerf, or at least the rate of fire needs to be the same as the trap wires in Las Vegas.

Heavy doesn't have healing, has good damage but is unable to use that past medium range. No clue why people think that heavy is supposed be a defensive class.
It's like thinking that a real tank is supposed to be a piece of mobile cover, ignoring the giant cannon on top of it.
Heavy is meant to be a slow moving, high damage output class that is limited by range and mobility. Almost every class can effectively outrange a heavy. If they can get close enough that's on you.

@eager parcel assuming the heavy has decent mouse control/good aim he wins. TTK is faster on lewis vs medium than fcar vs heavy and has twice the bullets.
lewis beams up to like 75-100m. I can guarantee you fcar will need to reload vs heavy at 50m+. Lewis won't.
Lewis is medium range, try to take a fight at 50m vs mediums in half cover with it
@queen cloud sometimes you can get a good aim lock doing aim strafing further out if they're out of cover but it's not going to do it when the mediums are in cover. A semi decent medium can easily out beam a lewis heavy. Also the lewis has lower dps than the akm and fcar at any range iirc. I have to go for headshots to actually do beaming.
Actual suggestions:
I love playing heavy. I think people are right to call for a bit more light buffing but I think the devs are right to be cautious. Light seems to be a higher skill floor class than the others so we need to wait to see people actually get good with it.
I'd like to see not so much nerfs as buffs to underused weapons like they've already been doing. I think the game is more fun when we bring the power level of things up to a good level vs down to a boring one.
The mgl is still awful on heavy, it's easily countered by another heavies shield, slightly destroyed environment, or just running. Give it an alt fire that fires a bit slower but has the grenades explode on impact and it's a real weapon.
The m60 needs to actually be a choice, the lewis is only the goto because the m60 is so uncontrollable. I'd love to see it as a closer (-10m off the lewis) lmg option.
One last thing I've been mulling over. I'd really like to see our reserve active in ranked. Not all 4 slots, only 1 or 2. There should be more possibility of counterplay since you already would have to die to access it.
Lewis doesn't even have good damage. It has the lowest DPS among autoguns and pistols along with one other gun, I think it's AKM.
Otherwise agree, heavy should be the close-close-mid range damage dealer.
SUGGESTION: Take away 30% of lights' damage and give it back to them as a backstab damage, while reworking his gadgets and everything in general towards a teamplay.

As heavy doesn't have heal, no other classes has shield, every class has his own weapons/abilities, you can't compare the Lewis gun with fcar, sniper, or lh1, because those three weapons are made for long ranged fights, HOWEVER, Lewis deals a lot of damage on ranged fights too, hello? Also the Lewis despite the high damage he deals, he has the most bullets as well.
I'm not saying nerf heavy, but at least nerf this nukes which wipes the entire team even if they're heavies, that's all I'm asking for

Ranked experience from a DIA 2 player with 300 hours, top 50 beta:
- Spawn, go to cashout, get blown up by nuke.
- See heavy with nuke, puts down aps turret, still dies to nuke because its explosive range is bigger than the aps turret's.
- 1v1 with heavy, heavy at 1hp, takes out rocket launcher and kills you even though you had around 120hp and he basically missed every shot with his lewis.
- Heavy walking around with rocket launcher on stairwell, blows you up and then finishes your last little bit of hp with his lewis.
- Fighting heavy, heavy one-shots you in less than a second with his shotgun while you have to empty your whole ak or fcar mag just to kill him.
- Heavy low on health, pulls out dome shield and starts spraying with lewis.
- trying to hide? Dont worry!!! they also gave him ability to smash through walls š
- want to play medium? WHY? when heavy is just your class but 1000x stronger š

The heavy was the worst thing they could have added to the game. It lacks severe balancing; there is no reason for a tank with 100 more hp to have weapons stronger than a medium. There is no reason to play medium if there is just an upgraded version with explosives that one-taps anything that gets in its way, and there is literally no way of countering it. Heavy will be the downfall of the game because it's so dominant. Not even just nukes or rpgs are the problem; it's the whole class. They had no idea what they were doing while making it.

As long as it's properly telegraphed (a scan originating from the player who did it that everyone can see) I think recon is fine. Similar abilities exist in other games - despite some people acting like it's never ever existed in a competitive fps before. I think sonar scans in general should be counterable via standing still tbh though.
I had 0 issues getting used to movement, it just feels a little heavy/slow to me as it always has. I don't think having to lead your shots at range would be too much of a stretch tbh and it would really open up balancing options a lot more. Is the Fcar as strong if the bullets travel slower so you need to lead your shots at range? What about adding a gun with low damage but crazy high velocity? Point is, there's options there. It's not necessary though for sure.
Ranked still has that issue of not being able to swap to your reserves, so I think that doesn't help the meta at all either since it promotes powerful general use strats. I can't take APS to counter nukes because I need to take gas/flame/mines for example. Changing that would help out the higher level players I think. Once recon is reworked a wee bit more I think light will feel better as well. Faster health recharge on light would be amazing too tbh.
A lot of people have also been asking for role queue, I think this would be a major mistake for this game personally. It's not like overwatch where there's like 10 characters per class that can all have drastic abilities that change the game. The 3 classes in this game CAN be balanced if they try, and encouraging the laziest solution possible that limits a lot of creativity within the game is not the right choice I think. Even in OW I think it was a decision made to simplify balancing the tens of characters they kept adding. It had the major consequence of simplifying OW massively though. I think this game thrives on creativity within team comp and through gameplay. A team of 3 lights can win and has strengths.

I think thats kinda a issue with how you see it.
As a Heavy main, meta strats are strong, but so are other classes meta strats.
Light rn is getting a massive jump of people using sniper/dash/stun/glitch, due to the ability of the snipers hitscan.
Medium is triple defib, 2 turrents and 1 healer
and Heavy has the meta of nukes+dome and rpg.
If you only care about the classes due to the meta, then it kinda feels like 1 class will take all in terms of fights, but thats rarely the case.
Fix metas, dont remove classes
Agreed, there's more intuitive ways of balancing other than flat-out removing a class because you dont like them. It's an extremely short-sighted way of thinking and doesnt meaningfully attribute to much
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment
People have gotten good at light and even they say Medium and heavy are plain better

it is probably like, 2 years too late in the game to change this, but is there any chance you guys can switch the player character controller from a capsule collider to a cylinder? A lot of the reason movement feels so sloppy is because of that. You slip off of shit too easily in this game.
make barrels easier to blow up, this could add a bit of risk/reward to people running nukes all the time. if you are at least able to get 1-2 shots off on a cannister and blow it up and get the kill that would be feel nice
id even argue that theres is only 1 one shot mechanic in the game and thats a nuke, which its also low effort high reward.. while being mainly good on heavies who are hard to kill and have a bunch of utility as is.. the whole situation doesnt make sense
movement actually used to be 10x worse, there was a 0.15 sec delay for jumping and double the delay in strafing. feels buttery smooth to me now but yeah it did feel sloppy to begin with
If you could see the Nuke coming, Nukes wouldn't be an issue.
Agreed, I think a good nerf to nukes would be to drop C4 cap from 2 to 1, and slightly change recharge time per charge depending on whether they want to detune it further or compensate for the lost capacity. Nukes would end up slightly better than the RPG in damage, which I think is appropriate given that they use map resources and aren't as reliable due to physics. I also think the change where C4s add a ton of weight to throwables should be reverted because currently all nukes are red nukes, and I think green, orange and other throwables should be considered.
This is coming from a heavy main who uses nukes liberally. They're just too good to pass up right now.

APS turret should have its range doubled, but take damage each time it blocks an explosive.
Reasoning:
APS turret is a primary counter to Heavy explosive spam, nukes, grenades etc. But having them block ALL projectiles for ever is a little imbalacing. Especially when you have multiple APS turrets stacked on top.
Second, certain primary weapons, like the heavy grenade launcher, are just blocked by the APS turret. IMO all primaries SHOULD be able to kill the APS turret. By taking damage each time an explosive is blocked, this would be fixed.
APS turrets should be able to block 5-10 explosives before death.
Picking up the APS turret after it has blocked explosives will put it on cooldown proportional to the number of explosives blocked.

Eh, I disagree, I think dwindling player count is just resulting naturally from, well, time passing. Palworld just came out, and EVERYBODY is playing Palworld. Lots of people came over from Apex to try the game and have decided that their time invested in Apex is more worth it than a new game. This game doesn't need 1M players concurrently always like Fortnite to succeed
I think the balancing could use some work but I wouldn't call it horrible. Maybe like 6/10 score for the balance? Could be better could be worse.
The main things are that each class needs their most annoying strats detuned and that power distributed to other gadgets.
Light needs to be less focused on ONLY EVER ambushing completely unaware players, which will benefit both competitive and casual play. Make them more of a highly mobile skirmisher that makes up for poor health and utility by using the environment to their advantage (like how they're used by the 5 or so ranked players who play light) and less of an instakill suicide bombing mosquito that pretty much burns a defib and dies the moment someone glares at them menacingly.
Medium needs to have Recon reworked to not allow pre-aiming, i.e. only giving direction and distance information as opposed to outlines. I think that's it honestly, maybe a nerf to defib. Maybe.
And Heavy just needs to be generally detuned lol, him too gut. I main heavy and he's the only class that I can consistently get a 2-3 k/d with queueing solo unranked. On one hand, I desperately want him to stay this way so that solo unranked doesn't suck donkey balls, but on the other hand I think nukes are too good. Everything else about him is fine tbh.

Not the same, but you can break the concrete shaft covering it and have easy access to the top. Gas can cause havoc for players camping inside if you time it to when they stop on a floor.

There should be 0 iframes on a defib revive. It's way too strong especially with 3 mediums running defib/turret/heal. If they go for risky revives it should be punishable not give them a free shield to hide behind while the revive gets to wipe you during the iframes.
That is why range should be increased. Makes it a bit better at doing what it is supposed to do, and prevents that type of cheese.
Please Fix the FEAR not ADS (zooming in) on PS5. Many times when you try to ADS the crosshair just locks in place. You don't get the zoomed view w/ red circle. You just get stuck and can't move the crosshair. Re aiming doesn't fix it either. Its broken.
Can we get a consistent ADS fov option? Changing FOV making my screen super tiny when aiming is kind of annoying for me, so a checkbox to turn a consistent ads fov on would be nice
