So in the recent update they removed mnk support from XBOX and they knew there a lot people asking for mnk on console. They don’t want to support the game with mouse and keyboard while we playing with/against pc players?!!
And the game on pc support both inputs without any problems at all why they following DICE steps when they don’t want to support the game with mouse and keyboard for console while we play in PC lobby??!!
Look at the other games like call of duty and Fortnite and even Roblox it supports mouse and keyboard on console without any problems. This so stupid and makes me so frustrated. 🤬
When I play with mouse and keyboard on the console the game automatically turn off the aim assist when I written and a play with the controller again the aim assist is back automatically so when the divs nerve the aim assist on console a players they delete the mouse and keyboard on the on the consoles because the aim assist is not like before so this is the devs

Mnk recoil should have more kick than the controller
Just remove the Light melee weapons, they are useless, you might get one hit or a kill and then you're dead. The dagger backstab should be as fast as the normal attack. Make me feel like I'm playing Spy in Team Fortress 2 🙏

Does anyone else feel like the weekly challenge to kill 4 people while they steal the cashout is really difficult? Most smart players stop stealing the moment they take damage. Been at 1/4 for so long
Here's my list of really minor nitpicks that are mostly visual or small fun details I'd like to see:

When the cashout falls off the map and it teleports back but with lighting and maybe a goofy little portal effect to make it more pronounced, maybe add some neat SFX and a hefty coin filled THUD when it falls thats much more noticeable and louder

I'd love more customizable UI elements, I wish I could choose which gadgets or gadget slots can have a dedicated recharge meter that I can move around wherever I like on my screen and change the size. This goes for any element too I wish it was possible to rearrange and resize alot of the elements on things that matter the most to you

I'd like to see the practice range get an update that adds a little aim training minigame, with scores and times that you could compete for fun with. Something similar to those CSGO aim training maps to practice spray patterns, I know the current range does this just fine but I think it would also help if its directly noticed and new players are informed from the game its self of its existence and encourage them to train a little
(Maybe throw in some free unlockable for some incentive) -
I kinda want smokes to look a little "prettier" and more defined, they work as intended but I'd personally like if they were denser and felt more solid in the environment

I wish while you were grabbing a cashout, the timer would go into "overtime" until the person grabbing the cashout stopped or captured it. It's a little frustrating when there's a certain timeframe where nothing can be done and its almost hopeless (not a huge problem though)

I also want more variations in the ping system, Like I really want a "Follow me" voiceline or "Take Cover" voiceline for when theres something scary like a nuke or sniper thats an immediate threat. (maybe also be able to bind specific pings and voicelines to keys)

I kinda want Recon Sense to have a waaaay cooler activation animation than what it is now, the screen turning blue and processed is cool but I think having the visual notion of say your hand going up to tap your head (like a visor) would be a better indicator for when its activated, cause sometimes in the middle of fights I forget to turn it off, maybe add a little bottom of your screen UI indicator as well I'm not really sure

WARNING REALLY DUMB IDEA okay fuck it I would LOVE if for no fucking reason at all there was a "trick" taunt you could do mid air. I really really really want to do some Jet Set Radio ass trick, backflip or foot grab while zooming through the air. Gives you 0 advantage, would just be a neat little thing to add flair to your fighting (Like imagine a heavy doing a backflip and slamming someone into the roof)

Nerf Lewis gun. It had the dps of an fcar while having higher accuracy and much higher mag size.

please for the love of god nerf the nade launcher. Put it back to how it was. That gun has killed my motivation so play this game. I hope you learn through this that you cant balance everything on stats. Yes things like aim assist you can look at stats and make judgment calls because you have so much data, but with weapons its somthing completely different. The reason grenade launcher looked weak was because no good players were using it. People were preforming bad because they were bad.
The same thing happened a long time ago in Apex. Wattson was objectively a terrible legend so no one played her... except for all of the really good players because it was funny to dookie on players using a terrible legend. So these really good players were artificially boosting wattsons stats which signaled to Respawn that wattson was a balanced legend. But that was NOT true. So ya, dont balance everything on stats
also lower the prevention based anticheat and implement some serverside detection please (use some of that new AI stuff). The preformance hits are NOT WORTH IT. People are still making cheats its just more tedious for them, they say so themselves.
If a medium gets low hp and does not have a healer they also have to wait just as long.
You do realize you can go completely invisible with a light and wait out a health regen right?

except a medium can stay in a fight longer, so if you're staying in the fight until you have no HP and then trying to run, that's kind of on you. Lights go from 150-10 hp in 1 second
Being a light is about the hit and runs, if you see anyone turn to you before you know you can killem, best start bugging

The event is very fun! Heavies only makes for some unique and hilarious gameplay scenarios. More stuff like this please 🙂
My only critique is that 12 games was kinda a lot for me for the event rewards. I was starting to get burnt out on the playlist around the 8th-9th game mark so I think somewhere between 5-10 games would be a little better for future events. Especially if you can’t play every day of the week so you have to grind a bit harder on the one free day you have. Awesome job either way!
If you want to stay in a fight longer play heavy dude
cashouts in elevators are so boring whoever gets it in first is almost guaranteed to win and there are only two ways to get to the cashout (except realistically it's just one way since the elevator is usually in motion)
you're preaching to the choir, I have over 450 hours as a light (since alpha), I understand how to play the class. but this guy was arguing that lights shouldn't have anything to improve there survivability or improve their ability to hit and run because mediums have to wait just as long for regen, yet mediums have 100 more hp and have better survivability and a better chance of escaping already. Lights can walk into a room and die before they even know what's happening. There's a reason barely anyone plays lights in ranked, and most lights lose in casual.

I think the fcar needs a nerf, I’ve never had a problem with the Lewis tho I do think that it could use a faster regen or even sum sort of stim to help its play style

i personally feel like at least the dead go boom event should be removed from ranked tournaments. too many cashouts are in small enclosed spaces, and with 2 or 3 teams all pushing the same spot, it just feels absolutely awful and unfair to succesfully fight a team or two and win, only to die because of some stupid random event. just feels like an event that can directly and quickly kill a player doesnt belong in a competitive environmnt.

cloaks are stupid easy to counter, and only snipers and melee users use dash. when im playing light or medium, 95% of cloaks don't escape me. You thinking lights shouldn't get a regen buff because mediums have to wait just as long is a you issue.
Put in a metric of how many or % of games left before end
respawn times are long and should be reviewed imo, dying and waiting 20 or so seconds to get back in is already a good chunk of time, and if your team fumbles you end up with an even longer wait. At that point it's just an afk simulator and detracts significantly from the experience. I understand revives and teamwork could become pointless with quick respawns, but imo 20s + another 20s for a team wipe + spawning across the map from an objective is far too much downtime, at least in casual cash out

THE FINALS would be the perfect game for EOMM. So many ways to customize skins... Usually getting into a team with noobs is making me believe SBMM doesnt exist and instead EOMM does.
(not to "roast" or insult anyone with the term noob. There are levels of skill and thats on what SBMM should rely on, especially in a shooter like THE FINALS.)
im not saying I do that, just that it happens, and with recon sense still being broken AF. You can get snuck up on and killed before you can react even if you're playing an off angle or from a distance. I have more experience with the light class than most people who play the game, and there's a reason I mostly play medium now. lights are not viable by 99% of the player base, and the data should be there to back that up, obviously something needs to change. the people arguing against light buffs don't even play light, they got destroyed once by a light and think they are OP, when they are literally the worst class in the game with the highest skill floor.
can something actually be done about recon yet? getting a notification that i'm detected is meaningless i'f i don't know where i am detected from. 30m is a really far distance on an ability that isn't on a cool down and can be used whenever and cheesed in a way to make sure that it's always on. 30 meters is almost 100 feet in any direction the person using it from. searching for them gives them more time to just hide in a room and pre-fire at me before i even know they're there. paired with fcar and the fight is already lost for me before it even really began.
at least with the sonar grenade i know where it's coming from and the user of it is nearby and within eyeshot most of the time. either that or they're going to be coming into the building and it's on a cooldown. and i have the option to avoid it if i choose to.
literal wallhacks without needing to download a cheat program is still busted.
make it a 45 second cool down or something. no more ability to cheese it so that it's always on. if you turn it off then it goes on cooldown or make it more like sonar grenade where it's less accurate in giving information to the user. just something really needs to be done about this ability. it's no where near on par with other abilities or even gadgets for that matter.

@obsidian solar Because it’s fcking annoying to play against. You block shots while having the enemy on the left side of your screen. You can block shots with the frontshield when I outmove you. And if I'm not really careful, I'll be aggressively bludgeoned by a wannabe police officer with no aim and 250hp

i mostly play as light/medium, but im against a light buff, not because i agree with the current meta
I just think the issue lies somewhere else, which is FCAR, Lewis and ofc Recon.
its not only hurting the light class as whole, but the whole balacing of the game too. people arent noticing much because a majority of players are actually using these two weapons (at least in SA), everytime i want to try a new loadout to keep the matchs a bit more fresh, its such a pain beause im melted, even as medium. you are obliged to headshot the FCAR player and even then, if they headshot you first and not miss it, you are killed. the AKM which is one of the best gun in this game actually loses to a FCAR in a 1v1.

I agree, but I don't think improving the lights health regen would hurt at all, you take any amount of damage and you're out of the fight for 15~ seconds (or longer if you die) if you don't have a healer nearby

get rid of dead go boom or massively increase the explosion timer, and don’t even show a hitmarker when using flash bomb unless it’s a direct hit for the full effect, light flashes still allow for more than enough vision to see an opponent coming and can trick the thrower into pursing an opponent totally ready for them

Devs, you are encouraging people on consoles to use xim/ chronus adaptors by ignoring the addition of MKB support, think about it! While you guys "do not have any news to share on that topic" I don't blame xim/ chronus users.
I love the steal the spotlight event. If i had any feedback for it, I would say to not have a reward based on how many times someone played the game mode. It makes it really hard to determine who is enjoying the game mode as well as forces people to play a game mode they don't like instead of one of the game modes they do like.
you clearly have what is way better than mnk on console specifically on ps5 which is gyro and if you don't know what gyro is cry abt adding mnk it's way better than the aim of anything and it's pure skill if you know how tp use it

Then you know that Lights are just the highest skill cap in the game. You can't really do much without information. Most of the time requires a premade or at a least a team that can communicate without whining in your ear that its a Light's fault for being a Light.
Had a heavy in my team once tell me why I was running around the enemy heavy and not facing him head on, if i was trying to "make a highlight" 
pretty much. 99% of the only time I play light now is when my friends are playing. a bunch of my friends won't even play the game now because of recon sense.

The weapon itself is not op but the time we need to eliminate you is long when you not playing stupid. You just have to stay in a small room and when someone goes in you rush him while the enemy is on the left side of your screen. The only thing he can do is run. It’s getting harder when you have a tm8 who’s healing you while running to me. It cost time to eliminate you and in this game time is important. When you Buff the weapon itself it’s maybe getting to strong. Maybe it’s not the best weapon but in the right hands you can create massive advantages for your team. @obsidian solar

Three things that is pretty QoL and should be added
- Option to continue spectating a match. Sometimes you just want to see how a match will turn out, or if someone is cheating.
- Option to spectate someone's match from menu. Like a friend just to see what they are doing
- Option to rewatch a match... should have been an obvious one for reflection and analysis purposes. Yours and/or someone's game

I got an idea for a map, it is basically based on the castle of Borgholm on the island of Öland, Sweden. After being there last May, I found it inspiring and could be a fun map if you made a super-sized version sort of if the Monaco 2014 Cathedral was a map on its own.

Please fix ADS with the Fear. Many time when you ADS is doesnt give you the zoomed in look. it just locks in place without the animation.
Also gyro randomly shuts off even with gyro and the look stick effect set to gyro always on.
Please add camera reset and gyro disable button in the options so gyro players can make proper hand adjustemnts and also be able to gyro rachet. These are CRITICAL and standard features. We need this so we cannot play gimped against KBM players and aim assisted players. Right now, gyro always on players have no proper way to make hand adjustemnts Its making gyro play clumbsy and get wild crosshair junps when adjusting and isnt allowing the gyro itself to perform aswell as it should in the competive enviroment that is THE FINALS. launch did it no favors due to the month and a half wait for the first major update. that being said, a huge portion of the player drop is due palworld and a few other indie releases. hype players are gonna go where the hype is.

Able to switch gun model over to the left hand side like valorant and csgo, making problems like when your gun is blocking your view and the enemy is behind it. (Player note: Its a nice feature that I think all FPS needs, since mostly people are right eye dominant and you want your gun on the left side and have open space on the right.)

throwing knives dont do damage sometimes. they hit the person but show no hit marker or damage but will explode into coins like it did hit something. Also more throwing knife skins please 🙂

There should be a new game mode sort of like oddball in Halo. Still 3v3v3 but no cashout stations. As long as one member of your team holds the vault your team collects money. A certain amount wins. Whomever holds the vault shows up on the map, sort of how it is already just more location blips or constantly. Seems like a good game mode for The finals.

the throwing knives deal great damage but the problem comes from the clunkiness of the projectiles and the inconsistency of their behavior.
some things that could be done to resolve this issue:
🔪 slightly reduce projectile drop off

🔪 allow right click to be held
🔪 tweak animations to feel more impactful

SOUND ENGINEERS READ THIS
the noise of an invisible cloaked enemy is way too quiet and easily gets overlapped by louder noises like explosions and other random sounds which makes playing against cloak complete bullshit in certain scenarios
Ok this is just my take on playing for a few days. Every class is fairly well balanced but please reduce heavy health by at least to 325, reduce the Lewis gun ammo to 40 instead of 47, and flamethrower reduce range just a tiny bit, not much. Medium turret could have damage nerfed slightly as well, a whole group of them on top of two people shooting is extremely hard to counter. AK could have a little bit of a nerf, recon senses seems iffy it’s hit or miss sometimes. Light needs to have health to maybe 175 but some of the top players manage with 150, but for the love of god please make cloaking a little easier to see, especially at night it’s nearly impossible to see them. Stun gun should also not slow the characters down so much there’s times where a player will be stuck hardly moving. But honestly when you play every class it’s very well balanced.

Lewis is the worst autogun ouside of M60 which again belongs to heavy. Even when you play it at 2-3 m distance, it only makes you roughly equal to other classes. Otherwise it gets easily outgunned by other autoguns.
Shotgun is just not great at all.
Heavy's weapons should be the strongest, but they are no just on the level of other classes' weapons, they are the weakest instead.
With how much ammo it has and how much health heavy has it’s a very good gun 25 percent is way too much

Lewis gun shreds in smg ranges, the shotgun is one of the strongest guns in its effective range and that flamethrower is nightmare inducing. in fact all the heavy weapons deal a lot of damage.
Nukes need another nerf imo. Died 4 times to nukes in my last two ranked tournament games. 3 times to explosive canister, 1 time to flammable barrel. All 4 times I've been Medium with full hp, seen the nukes before they were thrown, started running to cover, but ultimately still died. Not fun at all.
Let us put specializations in our loadouts, and show all current specializations when pressing tab.

Rather then explodes in impact, I would suggest that it pops faster, bc each shot is like 1 second wait before it pop? Plus if it was to explode on impact, then it isn’t really a different gun from CL-40. They both need different identities. Even if it’s in impact.
And yes this is coming from a heavy main myself.
The more point of a heavy is to be that of build destroyer then a walking powerhouse.

This unpredictability you speak of is already present by the fact that people can swap literally everything else. A light can go from using dagger one moment to having a sniper the next. A heavy can go from using a machine gun to a flamethrower. A medium might be swapping between mines and grenades, or jump pad and zipline. You will never know until they hit you. The game displays all specializations in the load-up animation, so why not just always keep that information available, and make it a point of macro skill to check if enemies swapped when teams respawn? I just personally don't think that swapping a specialization mid-match would be unhealthy for the game.

The counter needs to be realistic, it isnt. Nukes most def need to be fixed. Its a completely free kill with no real skill behind it. If they had to protect their nuke it would be much better (they don't need to care about it though)
In the range, create separate "training sims" for each class, the arena would be easier to assemble since it's all virtual.
Heavy could have 3 practice buildings set up to practice destroying or fortifying the building using Charge and slam or the goo gun.
Meds could have angled platforms and skyboxes to navigate across, and have bots on a set path to practice mine placement.
Lights could have bots in different rooms and windows that shoot back, almost like a killhouse so they can practice hit and run maneuvers while working on mobility and traversing the buildings
if the game is inbalanced in a way it won't die

I mean there are several ways to counter it, like stun gun and glitches, as well as just plain shooting the nuke or using a frag to blow it up in the heavy's face. I believe they also increased the range in which the c4's damage the heavies themselves, meaning that there would have to be a considerable distance before it's safe for the heavy to detonate the nuke.
I see what you're saying though, if you don't see a heavy running up with a nuke then they pretty much get a free kill. Maybe they could make throwables weaker, or perhaps increase the size/hitbox of carriables? Idk
The counter should be to shoot it and people do try. The actual canisters and throwable object just have too high of a health pool where the heavy can just see you shooting it and throw it at you anyways. The concept for a counter is there, it's just not very applicable even if you do the correct things. Also, as you said, the heavy just gets away with throwing it at pretty much any distance so you just get nuked like 10 feet away and nobody has really any time to try and shoot the object.
As for recon (can't make a new comment for almost 15 min), I don't understand why we are sticking with such a high uptime on the scan which is the main issue. The range is awful now but recon still lets you chase people down through walls and structures and get free kills (I see this as a recon player myself). It should honestly have a much bigger range BUT just reduce the uptime drastically and make the player highlights bigger and more obvious. It should just be there to give you, and your team, an immediate idea as to where people are BUT you still need to apply your game sense as to how to use that knowledge instead of just letting me just trace people without having to apply thought.

Interesting idea, but I would have to disagree with it. Where your team respawns is determined by how close the objectives are. I feel like that feature in this game would disrupt game-play too much because it would be too easy for teams to push and take objectives.
Though I do think there is an issue kind of related to this with respawning. Like if there's only 30 seconds left in a game and your team gets wiped (respawn is 26 seconds in tournaments I believe), well then you would just sit there and watch your enemies for the end of the game. I feel like that's a bigger problem than actual spawning points.

Issue is, if you have spawn reduction based on gameplay time then putting in the work to wipe teams at the end would be relatively meaningless since they can just swarm you again. If you die at unoptimal times, you should be punished IMO.

but it shouldn't be this wide (especially since it trigger radius is invisible and can only be estimated)
Explosives should either have dramatically lower minimum damage thresholds or start at 1 on the far edge and then rapidly scale up the closer to the center you get. Having your pinkie toe in an explosion should not be the difference between a one shot and taking no damage at all. This is a large part of the issue with nukes, as even a poorly aimed one will one shot a light, and heavily damage a medium. Combine it with latency and it's even more messy. This is at max distance, let alone closer to the sweet spot.
If it ends with explosives needing a buff of some kind to compensate, by all means, but it would do wonders for making them feel less frustrating to fight.
At this point I am honestly not that far from quitting completely. All I hear is the beeping of C4:s and at least a quarter of my teams deaths are to nukes. How can anyone find this entertaining? There is no counter other than to fight fire with fire, i.e. play heavy and use nukes. Which is what has happened most games. 2 Heavy 1 Medium. Just nukes flying back and forth.
One possible solution is that you'd drop any canister you're holding when you take damage. Or make the canister have less hp. But hitting a small explosive canister could be pretty hard tho, so not sure if that's the best solution.
Yeah I agree, I wasn't implying that there should be respawn time reductions at the ends of matches. I just think it takes away from the game when matches end so anti-climatically like that. I guess an idea to improve this is, in scenarios where if one team gets wiped then the match is practically over (like the scenario where your team is wiped at 30 seconds and has to wait 26 seconds to respawn), the game just ends when the team in question is wiped. It could make scenarios like these into sort of "endgame events" to end matches on a thrilling note.

By the way, the manager for discord should really just consider using threads / post base format (yes, discord has these) for suggestions / feedback channel. I think elo should be awarded based on your performance relative to the other players. Right now it seems like you only get FP for qualifying through the rounds which is almost impossible if you're unlucky and get bad teammates

As much as I love the community and the CMs (Oscar's stream yesterday is one to remember) I must admit I'm slowly falling out of love with the game. Once you have a couple hundred hours into it, things become clear:
- you disengage from what you consider to be B.S. cashout locations like the moving platforms and wherever it takes Olympic gold medal acrobatic to reach and y ou're like "f. it if teammates get it, GG, if not bye"
- you know early into the game when you can expect a loss (teammates sniping far away from objectives, teammates who revive only each other because they're likely friends in Discord when you're queuing solo, team mates who are clearly using whichever mode as live Practice Range, not engaging with objectives just about the kills, great)
- when you have a losing streak in Quick Cash, you can't really get cheered up at the option of either playing FFA in Bank It or limited-respawn tournaments.
There has to be a way to bring more casual "not only last minute fail/win or FFA or solo" game modes to The Finals? Would be neat. Thought I'd be thrilled to have to grind to get to level 50 but I'm not feeling it anymore at level 45. The game needs new exciting content that's more of a linear progress between two points so chill players can chill.

Nukes need to die completely, nerf heavy C4 down to 1 use only and further nerf velocity on red barrels pls

If anybody at embark is reading this the launch bug where the game gets to the EAC screen then closes with no message is back with 1.6.0. It was fixed with 1.5.5, then returned with 1.6.0. The current hotfix, 1.6.1, also did not fix it. I have tried the following:
Restarting my computer
Re-installing the game
Re-installing EAC
Verifying the files
Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

After a long time I have now tested the game again and still have to say it could be so good, yes could, if there were not this stupid c4 of explosive containers and either the game is overwhelmed with the new mode or the servers are bad, I still have with my 1gbs internet connection in between still pictures, that must not be! Just like that deals the enemy's gun faster than mine, even though I'm shooting at the head too! or that's also due to the server

does anyone else think the recon nerf was just a tad overkill? like yes it needed a nerf but limiting range to 30m makes it pretty much useless outside of close quarters combat. If anyone has feedback, Ive come up with what i think are 3 good possible solutions.
1 - same thing embark did, just not as dramatic - limit range of recon to somewhere between 75-100m.
2 - Keep the 30m range limitation, but allow teammates to see the detected enemies, or at least pulse/ping them (sorta like sonars)
3 - Further increase recharge/activation timers but leave range unchanged.
It needed a nerf. Not to be nerfed to a point where its basically useless outside of the vegas map.

no the recon nerf was a fucking joke, they needed to delete it from the game as a concept and replace it with an entirely different/new spec. A small numbers nerf on wallhacks is meaningless because it's still fucking wallhacks.
(also yes nerf nukes, red/explosive canisters are just as strong as they've ever been, the nerfs so far have accomplished nothing except make it even more difficult to counterplay nukes with how much EHP the red canister has)

I personally don't feel like it should be completely removed but it should be like the dash ability from the light. Make it so you have 3/4 pulses of "wall hack" so that its not continues but rather a quick tip about the enemies whereabouts. It should however not go map wide but rather 60-90 meters.
first off way to act like an adult and provide meaningful input! second - idunno if embark intended it this way but the main utility of recon was tactical to plan rotations. you also realize that you sacrifice a heal beam in order to use it. its been pretty much agreed upon by most of the community that double heal pocket heavy is the meta.. like i said, yes it was op with infinite range, BUT it didnt need to be absolutely nerfed into the ground. Like did you complain about UAVs in COD too or what? bloodhound ult in apex? abilities allowing you to see player positions through walls are not new

literally easiest fix ever - just remove the mechanic of attaching c4 to cannisters lmao. I honestly love the entire concept of this game. It's got cleverly designed maps. The theme of it being a virtual game show is unique and exciting. The weapons feel good and fun to use. The destruction is just incredible and takes shooters to a whole new level of tactical gameplay. I really enjoy playing it.
I've offered criticism BECAUSE I love this game and I want to see it succeed. (I think that's the case for a lot of people here.) I uninstalled Apex after getting hooked on it.

Of course it is related. Since the game is crossplay we on consoles are matched with pc players often and we don't have input options such as them (I know we have gyro now on PS5 but it is not the same thing) and I don't blame xim/ chronus users mimicking MKB to have a fair input gameplay (now, if they are using scripts/ aim assist with that is not my problem, the game should have a detector for this). I'm pretty sure that if we had native support (like on COD/ Fortnite) a lot of people would not use adaptors.
I think you already know about dagger. Hope that I will see some change in next patch. Three months, it's long enough to kill a game, but we still here waiting you fix it.
i think this game would really benefit from a 6v6 or 12v12 game mode early in its life with proper downtime and lower stakes, there unfortunately just isn’t currently a way to actually play this casually due to the nature of how matches progress, not suggesting TDM necessarily but something that you can just jump into and not have to stress if your team mates aren’t very good

The differences is. Keyboard and mouse actually takes skills to learn and improve. I know some console players are “scared” of switching over to PC and keyboard and mouse bc it’s complicated. Xim and Chronus is just a install and let’s go. I very much doubt that is people are using Xims, they are most likely to install scripts and more AA and such things.
A casual player would not get a Xim / Chronus at all bc the are playing for fun but people that get a Xim device and stuff like that are basically almost the same as people that’s install cheats. If they want to get good then just get better at controller, it is harder to get gud but it isn’t impossible. No need to get a Xim.
But devs right now, on the support on KBM, idk who it works but I’m assuming it’s plug in the usb to the console that’s it, no third party or anything. I would say we are on both sides of that just a direct connection rather then a third party device making it connected with scripts and such things.
After all we lived Ina world where it isn’t all sun shine, rainbows, honestly, fairness, and always good intentions. Someone suggested this as a change and I liked it. Replacing the stun gun with a stim or just over all adding a stim. I would love a stim for the light class. To give maybe a slight boost to regeneration and speed for like 5 to 10 seconds (Or maybe it would add like 25 temp health?)

Visual clarity
Dust, smoke, and debris:
Theres just way too much smoke and dust and shit, it's simply too hard to see anything sometimes. It's really frustrating when you're trying to push a point. I get that it can create some "cool clutch moments" where you might run in and grab the cashout real quick and win the game, but most of the time it makes for a very frustrating, inconsistent experience. Most of the dust comes from breaking enviroment, or despawning debris. Player created obscurity is mostly fine (gas sometimes gets a little too much), but it's really just the dust that's the biggest issue. Please just make it more transparent.
HUD transparency, and especially ping transparency would be a huge addition, as the pings especially are quite large and totally obscure your view. Wishful thinking here, but being able to totally customize your HUD i.e Dirty Bomb, would be very nice. In adition to this, and probably wishful thinking, allowing a crosshair when ADS would be very nice personally, and it'd also make the game more accessible for people with vision problems.
QoL
Please give us an option for "let go to confirm" use for abilities and gadgets. Instead of pressing 3, then left click, then 1, allow us to have the option to use abilities with a single button click, where holding it takes it out, and then letting go uses it, and then it switches back to your main weapon automatically. This is pretty standard for most other FPS games.
Make glitch grenade activate on impact, makes it come into play faster and it'll feel nicer to use. Light will have a better place in high lvl play, as they're a lil underpowered against very competent players.
Adjust dead-go-boom. Melee users get absolutely shafted by it, and you get shafted by it if you mananage to win a fight with the skin of your teeth but die to DGB. If you increase the time before detonation, you'll still have the intended chaos and destruction but without punishing players for getting kills.
Medium currently have the most amount of "must pick" gadgets, and i think they should off-load some of them to other classes to promote diversity. Every medium is running defibs and pads, which really only leaves one slot open for something "fun" if you don't wanna throw. Light and heavy only really have 1 must-pick each (stun-gun and RPG respectively)
Balance changes
Make automated abilities less strong, this mainly just includes mines, i think they should do less damage on trigger, and should detect players hit by it, so it's less immediately punishing to trigger them, but still gives the user an advantage, same idea for turret.
Increase health regeneration for all classes. It can be super hard to defend some of the objectives, especially in the quick cash game mode, as you effectively have to win 3-4 team fights in a row to keep the objective. At the very least bump up light regen slightly, to encourage the (apperently) inteded harrassment, run and gun style.
General nerf to "stall gameplay", this includes a nerf to mesh shield and heal. Players should be punished for making mistakes, and the get-out-of-jail-free-card of holding up mesh shield, and especially in combination with heal beam can completely turn a fight even if they made massive mistakes.
Nerf nukes further or remove them completely; still too strong. They're still vital to high level play, as you don't get punished very often for running around with them, and even if they're not successful every time any more, even the chance starting a team fight with at least 1 enemy down is huge. #👂┇game-feedback message
Change recon further; you only fixed half the problem. The untouched problem is that you'll still get perfectly prefired during teamfights defending/pushing points, which still makes it a vital pick. Others suggested a sort of "ping" that displays locations at the moment of activation, which i think would be a good idea.

Everything your describing is just part of the game. The game play designers of this game knew what they were doing. As for changing everything to make a whole new game yeah keep dreaming. Some stuff needs tweaking for sure but over all. This adds dynamic game situations in a ever changing environment. Every player that plays video games thinks hes a designer smh.
Killcam would be an awesome addition. Also it would be great to fix bugs with microphone use in lobby randomly shutting off. Last, it would be great if cloaking for lights stayed active while holding things, including respawn statues and vault boxes (maybe even cloaks the statue as well). Great game, so glad for your responsiveness to feedback. Refreshing after playing apex for a long time.

@oblique vector kill wouldn't work as the free movement cam after you die serves a purpose as you can ping a area and enemies while your dead giving your team a huge heads up. @wind frost Nukes are part of the game. I don't know if you genuinely can't read, or just can't read into the implications of having heavy running around being able to instantly squad-wipe, i literally described why this is an issue in the original post. If you need to me to cut it out for you, it's a problem because it actually disincentivizes more varied and tactical play, by it being so strong you're decreasing composition, strat, and build diversity if you're playing to win. As for "just play better", a lot of t500 are also calling for the nerf, so if even the most highly skilled players believe it's too strong, and can't for some reason seem to outplay it then that might be an indicator theres pretty limited out-play potential.

@dry kiln I’m not suggesting freecam be eliminated. Freecam only happens after a team wipe anyways. Unless you are talking about the few seconds it spectates your dead body after death. If member of your team are still alive you just begin spectating them after. Both have pros and cons but Killcam helps players more easily identify cheaters to report. It can also be a useful callout to your team about where they killed you from.

I rarelly got nuked. It's just a skill issue - bad positioning basically. If you are going head first into a fight you should expect that you are going to be obliterated easily. Do some small reconnaissance and you are good. I know that the truth hurts but that's what you should be looking first.

Unsure about mnk, but on controller, when sprinting and you tap crouch, you slide but almost immediately go back to sprinting. requiring you to press crouch again if you want to stay crouch.

this would be a good replacement for recon senses. It will mix the specialization, tracking dart and sonar grenade in one.
This gun will shoot a sonar grenade that can attach to any surface with a 25m pulse radius and can be shot from ONLY 50m away.
It will be 3 grenades total with cooldown between just like the light's evasive dash. That way it can be good but not overpowered

If anybody at embark is reading this the launch bug where the game gets to the EAC screen then closes with no message is back with 1.6.0. It was fixed with 1.5.5, then returned with 1.6.0. The current hotfix, 1.6.1, also did not fix it. I have tried the following:
Restarting my computer
Re-installing the game
Re-installing EAC
Verifying the files
Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

The Cl-40 needs to be looked at, in the practice range the damage on the heavy dummy is wrong half the time, shooting the head and upper chest takes 5 shots to kill, the lower chest and knees takes 4 and from the side it takes 5 if you hit the hands.

The invisibility ability for light is to over powered, as when you fight against someone using it becomes close to impossible to see the outline due to lighting in buildings/ inside areas.
I think this will never happen,,, many people have raised this but the devs replied that they have not planned anything yet. God knows why MnK cannot be considered with PC crossplay active, is this a too complicated thing which console players are requesting?

While I think that diversifying different ranks can be beneficial. This only works if it's done evenly across teams. However, this is currently not the case. Way too many games where you're thrown in with a bunch of Bronze or unranked players. The balance is sometimes so wrong it's laughable.

Hmmmm a possible nerf to nuke is just to have heavies spawn with C4 on cooldown. It would lower the frequency of nukes by a good amount, but maintain the intended strength of the nukes.

It should happen but the fact that there has been positive feedback, shows that people do like the gyro feature and more people probably would try it out.
Most console players still play from their couch so I think they'll be more open to trying something out that's already in their controller than using mnk. It's not an either or tough. Both should be supported.

If we entertained this idea if they spawned with a cooldown the cooldown for the C4 would have to be like less than 30 seconds otherwise you may never get it. If they did that it would probably need like a 15 sec cooldown on spawn but that would be kinda fucked up cus every other thing isn't cooldown on spawn
I miss nukes especially when no one did it in the first two betas and it caught people off guard
I mean that is definitely a possibility but in the other hand. It stops heavies from just ALWAYS setting up a nuke right after respawn. Based on the Cooldown, the heavy should have atleast 1 C4 off cd by the time they encounter their first fight. So they can use it to breach and what not. And of course if they have time or win a fight, then they can go set up a nuke. It just means that to get a nuke, they have to go out of their way to make it.
Of course nothing else is on CD out of spawn so you could see it as a bad thing simply because it differs against everything else. Which I understand. I just would prefer smarter/intuitive balancing than continuity across abilities/gadgets.
My game is lagging since last hotfix. Every 30-60 seconds I get short game freezes. It even happens in main menu. I have a solid setup and never had performance problems before.

@fossil walrus that is true, but here is another perspective: some people just have a console because of the more calming and relaxing games that are just great if you play them on controller but the finals is an actually good fps game so those same console players will of course want to play the finals on their console, but maybe they would want to play it a little more competitively because it's an fps game, but they don't want to buy a pc just to play this one game on kbm

please fix the goddamn interpolation, this is the worst aspect of the game by far, im so sick of dying around corners, getting shot by people facing the wrong way, having quick-melee fights with dudes and not hitting anything after 5 hits that looked like they landed. absolute fucking garbage netcode. if anything makes me quit the game after all the bullshit, its this.
light has little to no support abilities compared to heavy n med. the only way it can be helpful is by consistently pushing the enemy, so why not give it a better moveset geared towards that?
imo itd make much more sense for light to have pretty much all of the recon utilities, and be able to find where the enemies are for teammates with balanced risk and reward. not something like med recon sense where you can just see enemies behind walls
Red canisters have too much HP. They have even more HP than Light.
1 breach charge from a light kills a light but it takes 2 breach charges to destroy a red canister.
I think the recon changes are ok, being able to see players across the entire map was a bit too strong, but made the start of the match realy impactful to determine the best path/route to take to objects. I think it having reduced range is a good decision. I still believe that invisibility should beat recon sense in the rock paper scissors match. Light needs that advantage, but im interested to hear more feedback
why am i in queue for 15 mins?
recon sense needs to go, the nerf (what embark calls a rework apparently) did nothing to affect the strongest parts of recon. Seeing where enemies spawn across the map was helpful sure, but not as overpowered as being able to cut off flanks, chase down people through multiple buildings to stop regen or get team wipes, or pre-firing and killing people before they can even react. Being able to just spam it so you consistently know where everyone is. Next time embark says they are going to rework something, they should actually rework it. Dudes will literally drop everything they are doing to chase you across the map to kill you, it's fucking annoying. They are never going to remove it, because they apparently don't play their own game. no other game has wallhack abilities this strong for a reason. If they are so keen on leaving this garbage in the game it needs a major rework. Make it a 1-time use with a long cool down instead of being able to spam it, change it so it only gives a snap-shot instead of live-view literally ANYTHING would be better than it's current implementation. between recon sense and the garbage netcode, im so fucking close to uninstalling, and I love this game and have continued to play it even though I only have fun maybe 1-2 games out of 10.
For the love of god. Fix (melee) hit registration. Currently there is auto lockon which targets enemies who are 4m away and behind you, or you cant even hit the enemy in your face since your weapon has a range of 0.2m.
Also, please make the bubbleshield actually block bullets when it is deployed. Currently there is a small time frame where it doesn't block bullets after being fully deployed.
Taking a look at mines and how they are thrown and attach themselves to objects wouldn't hurt as well. Currently they teleport and glitch out. Sometimes they even disappear when being thrown.
Rendering the position and animations of enemies at long range should be adjusted. Currently there are often issues with them not reflecting the actual position and they have a huge ghosting trail which is really distracting.
Recon senses shouldnt counter cloak. Sonar grenades being able to detect cloaked players is fine though. Edit: Oh hey im reading the feedback above and it looks like theres a lot of players that agree with me

Currently Sonar grenades discover everything in their radius when they pulse. Instead they should discover everything where the colored circle is.

the throwing knives deal great damage but the problem comes from the clunkiness of the projectiles and the inconsistency of their behavior.
some things that could be done to resolve this issue:
🔪 slightly reduce projectile drop off
🔪 slightly increase projectile speed
🔪 allow right click to be held
🔪 slightly decrease windup time of right click
🔪 tweak animations to feel more impactful

Im pretty suprised no one complains about defibs. Its easily the most powerful gadget in the game and it makes kills feel meaningless. Very annoying in firefights. Not to mention triple medium is ridiculous because of defibs. Kills dont matter unless you wipe them out because one of them always has a defib
They also shouldn't go out at like a 35 degree angle if you're airborne. Fcar is laser accurate why shouldn't they be too.

the only time cloak is fully invisible is when their standing perfectly still. entering and exiting cloak makes a sound, running next to someone makes a sound. everything you do except running, walking, climbing, and swapping from weapon to gadget exits cloak. when a cloak is moving there's a blurry outline of their character running around if you know there's a cloak on the team pushing you and your currently not distracted it should be easy to see them as their a blurry outline running at you or towards your teammate. cloak needs to be undetected by recon for dagger and sword as there close range weapons, while some people use evasive dash for those weapons both evasive dash and cloak have their spots where they succeed and where they fail to make them balanced. also shooting a light disables cloak so if your so scared about them get a heavy to run flamethrower and sweep the room your in if you think there's one near you
I've seen lobbies without recon.those cloak players do full team wipes
The only time a cloak light is surprising me is if I'm already in a big fight. There's so many queues to them coming. I think most people who struggle against cloak are probably playing on a low resolution monitor and/or listening to music while playing.

The current meta with an artificially capped sense is definately better than SBMM. However, It's kinda awful. Maybe raise the cap? Even if just by 15%.
add randomly selected gamemodes into comp so you're playing more variety, like overwatch is doing. a ranked tournament mode which includes cash out, bank it, and more gamemodes would be pretty good and healthy for the game. this would make players learn all the gamemodes, and keep things interesting in games because it would feel less static. it would also help people sticking to unranked because of bank it or other gamemodes, and would let more gamemodes be seamlessly added to the game for permanent durations instead of temporary.
It means you could queue and get a variety of gamemodes to play competitively, instead of sticking to ranked or unranked for the gamemode you prefer; also would help the game feel less static, and help implementation of gamemodes into the game in the future.

gotta say, the game after the last patch feels much more balanced, already enjoying it a lot more! 
if i had to ask for some sort of change, maybe we could get a new map or two? think it could keep the gameplay feeling fresh, maybe having the maps have their own sort of "gimmick" could be super cool. like a map that has some teleporters on them, or a map with a more outdoorsy feel (maybe fake jungle sorta thing cus its a simulation and whatnot)

I like that hipfiring is still kinda viable, wanted to make some some positive feedback on this. Not a fan of games that make you ADS to aim well. I think this game did it well. It's like in Titanfall or Apex but not as overpowered I think (partly because of the game's own gunplay).

Haha I usually play light with dash + LH1 so my problem is all medium squads running turrets. I honestly think turret spam with APS is straight up more toxic than Recon at this point. Mainly because you can still outplay recon players. It is hard, and not in your favor. But outplaying a room of turrets is very very very difficult. It is easier to learn proper turret placement than it is to get the full value out of Recon.
But I am super torn. Turrets don't get that level of toxic unless the whole team is running turrets. So like I want to see turret nerfs but I am afraid if you nerf turret more, then turrets are only viable if whole team is running it. Where as running solo, it is very bad.
tbh there just needs to be a cooldown between APS zaps so that you can actually use glitch grenades if you sacrifice both of them

Yeah something like that and maybe a slight buff to glitch like faster fuse time/explode on impact, or increased glitch radius would allow enough counter play to where a team of turrets isn't just pure pain. I also think it would be super interesting to instead nerf turrets by making it to where you can only be targeted by 1 turret at a time.

Why does everyone cry about nukes? They’re so high risk high reward. I can’t have a gun out. If nuke is shot I die. I can wipe my team w me. It’s mid to short range. At short range I die cuz of splash dmg. It takes skill to use it well. A good nuke can change a game and a bad one can lose it.

Completely agree. The people who are most against the class don't really play it. There are some annoying ass things like Stun that even I don't like but when it comes down to affecting winning, it's very hard to do.
I do like the glitch grenade suggestion though. I've gotten good at bouncing them so they explode where I want but it would be nice if it did it on impact and maybe the underhand one bounces instead. Another thing that some people don't know about is that if any part of the glitch touches any part of a shield, it disables it. So if I know that a heavy is holding up on an OBJ, I'll go to the floor underneath and glitch it to break the setup.

its the "its an assassin class" followed up by "it can't have a higher ttk because it would be broken you're supposed to hit and run" like how the fuck am I supposed to hit and run when anyone with a brain can turn around and still kill me faster than I kill them especially on pc where they can 180 and laser me efficiently and track me if I try to run
light would feel more like the hit and run class if they had faster health regen. lower health is manageable but it sucks that you’re basically completely out of a fight while you wait to heal whereas heavy and medium can still participate after taking a little damage bc they probably still have 100+ hp

Sometimes I will be going up a building and see a heavy bubble shield clipping through a wall/ceiling, and I will just glitch it cause why not lmao.
Consider the fact that every other class has much more health so in a straight up gun fight you have to do a bare minimum of 100 more damage in order to survive. That's one of the reasons why it feels bad to play in certain situations. You look up in the kill feed and you see you did 320 damage to the heavy but his 150 was enough to kill you.
Then you add in the fact that the regen is for some reason the same as the other classes with much more health and it's easy to see why light doesn't do that well against equally skilled players.
That's not even accounting for the lacking team utility
for some reason medium build's healing gun breaks every once in a while (doesn't lock onto any teammates and the beam doesn't work)

its the fact that while yes technically light weapons have a similar ttk to other weapons, that doesnt matter when the time to kill other classes is still double the time it takes to kill you, how am I expected to ambush people that can see me through walls or hear me coming and whip around and beat me or ambush me just as easily due to how mobile everyone is
and that's not even mentioning the fact that if I accidentally get touched by gas or fire (likely due to me having all settings on low causes the edges to be inaccurate) then suddenly half my health is gone and I have to wait 5 seconds for that shit to regen while likely in the battlefield thus dropping my survivability more
and then there's the argument that "oh well its just a higher skill ceiling" YEAH BECAUSE ITS A WEAK CLASS, any weapon or class in a game that requires more effort to get the same effect as another class is going be considered worse and the fact it takes more skill to use. look at overwatch for example, wrecking ball is one of the worst tanks in the game without a doubt due to how he doesn't fit in the meta and requires a lot of mechanics to perform even decently, and yet there's still gm's that play him very well like Chazm. does that change the fact wrecking ball is generally a c-d tier charater? NO, so why is the light class different, it sucks at hit and run and requires a ton of effort just to play on par with their opponents who can just place explosives on mobile objects for easy kills or see through walls to delete you before you can react or place 3 turrets, 12 mines, and hide with op rifles or nade launchers to make sure you don't get to play the game.
This game has multiple "meta" ways of playing: nukes, 3 med with recon and healing, 3 med with turrets and recon, 3 med with heal., 2 med with heal and heavy (why so much medium) and yet in each and every "meta" style of play, light has no place in any of them due to lack of team play and lack of efficiency. And just because having to sweat and use cheese stuff to viable is annoying, everyone is fine with it being in a shit place because they love being so powerful and don't want more competition than they already have, that's why meds whine about invis shotty, stun gun, nukes, or anything that could possibly ruin their meta domination and likewise for heavies as well. the light class is the middle child in balancing getting blamed for the one thing done wrong despite having zero help to do better.
and jumping back on the playstyle rant. things like recon, defib, heal beam (basically all of med) and rpg, dome shield, regular shield, any sort of mine, and tick damage in general all counter the hit and run playstyle that lights have because even if they miraculously get a pick, its normally from burning all their equipment leaving them vulnerable while the pick they just got gets defibbed and healed to full or dome shielded and rezzed or they trade and take your life as well because in the 1-2 seconds it takes to kill your opponent their teammates are already heading towards your location to jump you. so with the slow regen and utility burn from fights you're basically good only for engaging and then dying and repeating
i hope that embark adds a punishment for teammate intended killing because for many games i have been griefed and trolled and killed by my team just because i play light 🙂
I completely agree with all of this. In order for a light to dominate, they have to either be cheating or be significantly better than the lobby they are playing in. That's a bit of a balancing issue. It's not like playing Angel in KOF 2002 where she's hard but obviously top tier. Light is low tier and hard. Ass backwards design imo
they think light is good in good players' hand, but didn't see single light in rank and didn't know the top player can be twice time stronger when they play medium and heavy
There really is only one way to viably play light in ranked, which works better with more heavy. the strategy of glitch/stun + kill the team's heavy and get out works well if you have a good light. then every fight is a 3v2
Just here to send some feedback for the "Steal the spotlight" gamemode, I think the kills should reward 1-2k in the future if it is ever added again, I think it makes it more chaotic since now you can win with either getting vaults or straight up getting alot of kills

and honestly lights don't need huge buffs or anything crazy just some slight tweaks to allow for more effectiveness like finally putting the lh1 at 50 dmg or even just making the visual recoil easier to handle, bumping the damage on some firearms by 2, change some functionality on the melees to make them more consistent without taking away from skill expression, making the throwing knives a secondary gadget that is just a faster version of the right click on a 10-15 second cooldown, and the big one... reducing the regen timer so that the healing begins faster

Improve the matchmaking. A plat shouldnt be playing with unranked/bronze. Alot of matches I played back to back were with bronze and that doesn't make sense. I had a cashout in progress and they never came once to defend it. Just running the entire map and dying randomly.
Also introduce some input based matchmaking where you can filter maybe which class you wanna play with, the rank range possible for matchmaking etc

you do know that lights die on average in 0.6 seconds and it only takes 5 ish bullets from most guns other classes have to do that anyway right?

Been having fun with gyro. Never really played with it but so far I'm loving it. Only thing is a QoL update would be to add a toggle off gyro button. Recon change has been the best meta change we’ve seen since they started nerfing everything. I’m beyond glad we got this instead of letting it run rampant. The fact that thermal wasn’t infinite and worked the way it did but recon didn’t is actually insane. Idk how you can still complain about abilities but it sounds like this game just simply isn’t for you. Maybe you should perhaps go see if there’s a game more to ur liking then because it doesn’t get much easier than this without making the abilities useless lol. Sitting here calling the devs bad workers is actually wild especially while you aren’t even a dev. I’ve used every single weapon in the game at this point. LH1, throwing knives, dagger, AK, grenade launcher on med, shotgun for both heavy and light, hell sniper and pistol and have had 10 kills a game with each. It’s challenging for sure against FCAR users half the time but if you’re just better you can do it. You really gotta practice in the game if you want to do better instead of blaming everything else around you.

I think they apply debuff indirectly using bad server. Basically the barrels fly to you and explode right beside you but you did not receive damage at all while the heavy receive full damage

This game went through 1 alpha closed session , 3 beta closed session, 1 open beta session and yet the nuke was in their and yet no one was complaining. The people complaining are people i believe that are use too other games and not a game like the finals that is ever changing and dynamic in strategy. Nothing wrong with the nuke just learn how to dodge it or deal with it.
There is a bug where if I turn off VOIP i can still hear team mates AND it will persist into the lobby when I am not partied with them after the match ends. Please fix.

Make it whenever you spawn or respawn, C4 starts on Cooldown.
Maybe if you place your C4, the cooldown doesn't start. It starts when you detonate your C4.
Make it so you can only have 1 C4 on an object at a time.
Make the damage radius to C4 bigger, but start dramatic damage fall off to 4 meters. Make the damage to buildings stronger in return.
These are all options I propose to adjust nukes from being a must use by heavies to something you do once in awhile. I am sure I can think of a few more but I will leave it at this for now.
Also I think devs should only implement 1 of those changes. Not all of them at once.

Recon nerf idea:
When activating it, it acts like a sonar nade pulse but within 30-40m. All enemies would get scanned in the same way a sonar nade does. This activation can’t be turned off and you have to wait for the 3 pulses to be over te use it again. So you cant follow their every move through walls.
Maybe this would make Recon too bad of an ability though. Just a thought.

Similarly, whether you're in a ranked match or not, the game remains consistent. The gameplay experience is identical, as every player has equal access to all weapons. Ultimately, rank is merely a label. Also btw im do play rank.

The destruction tech is world class, the graphics and design is top notch, but the horrible balancing and gameplay decisions and mechanics interplay falls entirely tone deaf, it makes me ask? Who is this game for? It certainly misses the mark of a competitive shooter, it's ranked system is terrible, it's not really for casuals since there's EOMM SBMM in casual as well. So who is this game for?

That can’t fix every problem in one patch. In a few months a lot of problems will be gone, so give it time. I’m sure the devs are giving everything they can

Remove/rework Dead Go Boom already. It's slowly sapping my will to play the game in conjunction with other problems, but it's genuinely getting old have rounds just straight up lost for you when you're playing melee in ranked. This is easy to fix.
- Reduce bandwidth / capacity to heal to prevent pocket healers. Healing is a heavy crutch, it's supposed to be a life saver but right now it's just a crutch
- Make Recon sense an actual pulse sense like sonar, you throw out an sonar wave and it marks people in 30m radius until it updates in the next sonar, yk? exactly how sonar grenade works. Instead of a tracking wallhack.
- Increase the invariability and sway of a weighted down Barrel (c4)so the only way to sure fire nuke is to throw in close range / High risk high reward, this also means that the heavy can die to his own nuke = it's only fair for such a carefree insta kill mechanic
- Make Defib a specialization. If you want to do something about the saturation of mediums, you need to understand what makes it so desirable, Defib for one should be a specialization. Originally I was all for Recon to be removed and for Defib to take it's place. Defib removes any punishment for bad positioning and solo pushing as a M can just chain res each other nonstop.
- Fcar needs to be tuned down just a bit, whether it's damage fall off, and other weapons need to be brought up just a bit, increase their damage fall off range

I love the game how it is currently, but I'm also getting tired of having a group of four and now we can't play this amazing game because of the player limit. A 5v5 (or 6v6) mode would probably give players more reason to continue playing and not the same modes all of the time. I feel like it would be cool for there to be a playlist that focuses on 5v5 modes specifically.
Good starting modes could be a payload style mission similar to Overwatch, an oddball game mode like in Halo, typical TDM, and lastly a King of the Hill mode that focuses on occupying a space on the map just to name a few. I know these aren't perfect I'm just throwing out ideas into the void. Also this is specifically meant for casual so I really don't care if having a 5v5 sounds unbalanced.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

Integral anti cheat check fails kicks from match, then crashes the game. When Relaunching the game, the anti cheat fails repeatedly until restarting the computer, after finally getting completely into the main menu the option to reconnect is not available and you are met with a Suspension for abandoning the match?
Why can we get banned for not being let back into the match after the game crashes?

I play heavy, I don't care what you nerf / change about nukes, if at all. What I do care about is when I use a nuke and it does zero damage or when I throw a C4 and it falls through the map. These bugs are super annoying. People should not say "too bad nukes are OP anyways" or something, it's not working as intended and should be fixed. To go further, I also don't understand when I RPG a guy with a nuke or nuke him and he somehow is still carrying his nuke? Why does it not always blow up???

Please remove melee autolockon. It hinders more than it actually helps.
Laughs in trying to attack an enemy 4 meters behind you while you could kill the target directly inside you - whom you are aiming at.

In most cases it works fine and all. But the few times (less than 1 time per match) it screws you over badly which is extremely frustrating.
Thus removing it entirely, or adding an option to turn it off would be sweet.
I like the melee lock on, though I believe it could benefit from a little work on it. Sometimes when there’s many enemies it will target the wrong person. I have lost games due to this too.
when u are down you should be able to say "Revive me" or "let me respawn" should be like a constant icon or just take your figure away entirely cus some find it annoying when they wanna switch gear or weapon and they get revived. i also think you should be able to ping, just without freecam stick to what the statue sees i suppose. in theory VC would be for that but that sees little to no use.

and think about it this way:
who deserves the money more?
the team that defended the cashout for almost the whole duration against 2 teams
or
some team that always failed when trying to push them (or just straight up camped) and only managed to capture in the very last seconds after the other 2 teams fought each other
with the way i suggested it, they still get just as much as the defending team, with way less effort
(not perfect but at least it fairer)
it rewards players for all their efforts (even if they didn't win the whole thing), it disincentives camping while also keeping last second steals impactful and important

everyones on heavy using the same kit, and likely the exact same everything. on top of that there random turrets and traps that dont even deal that much damage, only enough to finish you off after a fight which who would've guessed, is annoying.

When I play with mouse and keyboard on the console the game automatically turn off the aim assist when I written and a play with the controller again the aim assist is back automatically so when the divs nerve the aim assist on console a players they delete the mouse and keyboard on the on the consoles because the aim assist is not like before so this is the devs

Rework cloak, it's horrible from an accessibility standpoint.

Fix Seoul sight lines, anyone holding the hospital automatically wins the cashout if they're competent.

i think the best way to buff grapple is not by giving it two charges, but by giving shorter cd and some better traversal settings
dash n grapple are pretty different, but at the same time could begin to mesh together.

If you want to promote teamplay, consider making it so revives take a single death figure out of the player getting revived. Some players will simply not wait to get revived and respawn somewhere far and maybe somewhere dangerous.

maps: maps flow is a problem the size and complexity of the maps is an asset for also a problem from a game-flow perspective navigating to objectives takes ages but also LOCATING the next objective consumes precious time I would love to see some smaller more focused Sided maps. maps with 4v4 or 6v6 I am not a fan of the 3 teams mechanic I think it adds to much unpredictability to the gun fights
Buffs:
Smoke grenade is really horrible in most situations and doesn't help or bring much into any situation. I'd like to say you can use it with thermal vision but why would I use two abilities to kill someone when I could use one when half the time they still see and shoot me through my own smoke. It does counter turrets which is a good thing but it's just feels like a reworked glitch grenade. Smokes need a range buff they usually don't take up any area, and by doing no damage and being a counter tool makes it useless.
Lh1:
The Lh1 is an odd weapon because it's built to be a mid range perfect mix but when dealing with the most common weapon picks, it gets outgunned. For one you usually want to be accurate when you shoot at a target and be able to track them as you shoot, but without a AIM SIGHT you cannot see half of what you are shooting.
Melee:
Most melee is really bad except for heavys sledge with it's absurd secondary fire hurtbox, but most others are really unreliable. There are probably two fixes that could happen, increase the health of melee users except for heavy(light to 190w/sword, 165w/dagger, 290w/riot shield. The second being debuffs or buffs added to people getting hit or the user like decreased healing received to received or slowed movement when hit with dagger and a stun effect when it with the riot shield. Either that or just give them life steal buffs
Glitch mine:
The glitch mine simply needs a longer aoe timer.
Nerfs:
Usually with lights you have such little health you'd want to conserve it, snipers lead perfectly into that role. Being the only sniper in the game, no one can really contest you once you find "that spot" unless they leave obj entirely to go chase you. This Changes a lot for the sniper but I feel balanced wise this is needed. It needs to be charged to be shot at higher power, this fixes it being effective at good range and keeps it firing at less fire rate unless the user can hit headshots consistently in quick succession.
A week ago it was all fine and then horrible takes started floating into here for some reason. Seriously, adapt to the gameplay and then give your feedback.
Let's overhaul recon, and cloak because I don't like it and I don't want to do anything to counter it.
Completely remove nuke instead of a nerf that will make nukes a good option yet not too overpowered because I have no logic senses to figure it out

generally agree with this but sniper charge up would legit nerf it. youre often forced into tight areas like apartment building or hospitals to fight over the cashout and are relying on quickscoping. that only worked in overwatch because it was also an SMG at close range and goo didnt exist. i think a faster, smoother fire rate or just letting it do 250 headshot dmg would be more reasonable changes

I don't think they need to be removed, but the radius falloff damage needs to be greatly reduced, or it should be easier to shoot the canisters they are holding/throwing before they end up in our faces.
You need both, QUALITY of queue and FASTNESS. For this a proposal is to** reduce the amount of game modes**, even call of duty with 100x more players do that. If friends cant queue together the game is dead. Coming from someone who cares, because I love the finals game right now

how to play without getting any random error every few maps please ? since the last updates broke everything
I don't agree with the 250 headshot but I see your first point, I just feel that when snipers are against melee they easily win and that staying at range is so easy and getting away and taking one good shot is even easier. I just don't see how we can nerf an uncontestable weapon like it other than the charge.
This is a feedback channel, please stop spending all day whining at people's feedback. You are just clogging up the suggestions, however bad they are. Let people give suggestions, however bad they are! It is not your job to sit here all day typing to people, the developers are smart enough to understand if a suggestion makes no sense / is not productive.

recon had 0 counterplay or brain power put into it. it was fundamentally flawed and generally unfun to play against.

Love the game and it's totally fun, but could you make it where I could mute 1 player instead of disabling the whole chat. Sometimes I'm playing with a friend and we will get a random person blasting their music and when you ask them to mute their mic they turn the music up.
He just acts like a nice guy and laughs at the grammar of non-native English speakers.
What he want is show off his game engine skills but actually only learned a few terms and say something good to devs to gain some cheer.

i know this comment is old but the glitch grenade just has to interact with something to disable it? i thought it had to detonate.
Game needs to promote playing and holding the objective more make it so cashouts give money in 3 ticks as well as a sizeable cashout in the end instead of 100% of the money in the end.
This would promote objective play, reduce this cowardly non engaging until last second 3rd party cleanup to take the point meta, but it would keep this last second tension as well due to the final cashout money.
Oh and it would prevent random fighting on the map way off point while a team is cashing out for free.
@silvermask.#0000 I don't think it's really possible to improve much. It's actually quite well optimized considering the game is running in UE5 with such levels of destruction.
I'm not saying it's running well, hell, I'm only getting 100-110 fps, which is not enough to not have a disadvantage vs others, but yeah, that's just the truth.
It's CPU bound.
Having 2 ramsticks (dual channel) instead of 1 (single channel) helps A LOT. Also yeah, getting a stronger cpu helps.
I'm screwed because I need to be mobile (bit of a nomad) so I'm stuck with my 2000€ laptop until I choose to upgrade again, but for pc people, just invest in a stronger CPU

Um it disables during its detonation. So what I was saying is this. If a heavy throws a bubbleshield on say the second or third floor of a building, it will clip down and you can see the shield from the floor below. If I throw my glitch grenade right below the bubble, it will disable the shield. Because the bottom of the shield will be in detonation range. That is what I was saying. I wish it disabled on impact lmao
personally i think a sniper or any long ranged weapon is going to easily counter a mele weapon? thats bringing a knife to a gun fight. should be balanced against other guns. mele is a whole new convo.
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
- Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
- Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:
- Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger
FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
- Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
NERF THE DEAD GO BOOM:
- This event is extremly unfair for melee users, you cannot avoid it if you get a kill
- Either increase the time before the explosion to at least 3 seconds OR make it so the explosions don't damage players but only the enviroment

can you do something about headglitching, snipers can peak over the edge of a roof with 1 pixel of their head showing which is impossible to hit 50+m and kill you.
give everyone 1000% aim assist and buff all weapons and gadgets. Just make respawn times faster like 10sec 100m away.
Also fix the alert mechanism on cashout and when a cash box is stuck inside terrain

I just want the stuff to be nerfed that reduces the ttk to basically 0.
And also the counterless overpowered stuff.
The Nukes and RPG dont need any skill, yet give the highest reward by easily killing one, often more players instantly, with almost 0 risk. Giving you free advantage at every fight.
Recon is a free wallhack wich is completely dumb.
Dead go boom is very often unevitable death if you kill somebody close to you. While it has no benefit, it is just annoying, tho, could be fun if it only applies to construction, or, at least has a longer timer and a warning (aka the glowing up death trophy) so you have a realistic chance of escaping. Also, if you play a melee weapon, dead go boom is kinda game breaking for you.
The mesh shield has 1000 health, added to the dome shield and the heavy hp, a 3 man heavy team with all hp and shields has a combined health of 4950. If you dont see a problem with this then i dont know.
The dome shield nerfs were fine and i actually think its good as it is now, but 1000 for a moving shield is crazy.
Gas and explosives deal too much damage overall in my opinion and especially gas can deny huge areas for a long time and also deals crazy amount of damage compared to fire. I would like the damage to be closer to the damage of fire, maybe slightly higher since fire sets you on fire and gas is gone the moment you are out.
There are games that get decided by wich team can throw more gas on the cashout room, just so nobody can ever enter it.
Tho there are ways to avoid gas, i think it has too much impact on the game.
So as you can see, i dont want to nerf everything, just things that in my opinion dont require any skill and are just cheesy. Thank you for your constructive criticism tho.
The nerf to Recons Senses wasn’t enough.
While the ability to read the whole map all the time is finally gone, the “rework” wasn’t really good or the right thing to change.
It needs to be a complete rework with something else ( like a heartbeat sensor, binoculars that you need to put out and use) that you can’t use in conjunction with your gun to track and pre-fire around corners, otherwise just remove it.
The DETECTED prompt that haunts you continuously is very obnoxious and it gives you no clue where the offender is as, unlike the sonar grenades, you can’t see the direction of the pulse.
Please take it seriously with this one.
the only true fucking fix is the ranked matchmaking. this would require devs to use their fiver coding skills and to actually implement REAL changes though......
Fix the aim assist on Controller, add more Gamemodes (Dosen't have to do anything with cashouts), nerf nukes with an Explosion cooldown or smth like that and make maps private playable.
Add gyroscope control for Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (or add support for steaminput so input can be fully configured from steam)

heavies are meant to be destrucktive,if u think they are op ,they use a heavy,they already nerfed the nuke a lot,they can use nukes as the other parts of heavys are not as good compared to other,like sloer healing,slow movemment,high recoil guns,no scoped weapons ,other things i agree with like recon should be nerfed as well as akm,mesh shield makes the charcter too slow and a light can just dash through it ande beam the guy,gas should deal so much dmg as it helps in despersing the crowd,i play heavy and it can be op but at most times it isnt,all the guns of heavy have so much recoil which is uncontrollable

all these nerfs and buffs you clowns are asking for comes down to one issue, hero/class based gameplay. This game was doomed to forever feel unbalanced when they decided to make 3 classes
TTK is a nightmare. This is an only reason why I don't want to play more than several matches, it's very annoying to control aim with every bullet for several secs. Maybe one day you will make a game mode with damage increased by 15-25%?
Dont we love seeing "detected" on our screen 50% of the game when theres only 2 recons on the enemy teams... shits distracting. Whole screen gets a white border which turns off and on every few seconds..
Feature idea: if i leave a match, do not put me back into it, cuz my team mates will spend that much longer waiting for someone who is going to stay and play

Try running guns like the Revolver, M1887, or maybe even the CL-40 on Medium if you can't track, but can hit the shots you do take.

no. the classes just aren’t balanced rn lol. they’re overtuned and are missing drawbacks besides light. it’s not that deep
I dont have a problem with the heavy class overall, just certain things.
The nuke still works perfectly fine on red barrels. I dont even want it to be removed completely, i just want such a high rewarding tactic to come with a risk, now it basically has no risk, because the chances somebody will blow it up in your hand is very small. Reduce barrel health by a lot and suddenly you have to be a lot more careful with it and maybe its not the first thing you prepare after spawn and whenever the cooldown is down just to throw at the first guy you see anymore. Then follow it up by a rpg and the fight is almost over and you didnt even shoot your main gun. Its broken.
A light can not just dash through the shield because the light gets beamed by the team that is hiding behind the mesh shield. The changes i would like for the mesh shield is absolutely an hp nerf, and also i would like to see the glitch grenade explode on impact with a shield.
Even with half the damage gas would still help in dispersing crowds. But now it is 50dmg per second. Even if you move out of it immediately light and medium are easy snacks.
Embark
Recon Senses needs to be made non-togglable with a 30 second cooldown and a louder audio cue.
This would stop the indefinite spam scanning which would help nerf the spawn tracking, camping, and chasing abuse of the ability.
This doesn't remove or over-alter the ability, but instead helps balance it while keeping it's style and function.
except for rekon and riot shield, i feel like its fairly balanced rn.
rekon should have a longer cooldown between activations so you cant spam it all the time
riot shield just feels underwhelming overall

Idea for Recon adjustment. What if we give it full map range but make a smaller range around the player that it does not detect players, ie. the player cannot sense other player’s for the floor of the building they are in and a floor or two above and below. This would make it less hunt down players ability but more of a tactical ability.
