People will still speak their native language even if you say to them to speak english. My opinion on this is that you should implement a solution like creating a specific rule that overrides the inclusive only english rule to only LFG channels or just make a ES/PT discord server. You are a CM and have the power to do it, I understand your point of view that talking in english might unite the community but in the long-run you will probably lose players in the discord if you prohibit global communication. (Maybe this is why they are creating their own communities, but is this the solution?)

your entitled attitude is what bothers us. we don't mind people talking in ES and PT, and any other languages, as long as we can moderate and keep stuff civil, however, we don't have a team who speaks all languages possible, so we don't wanna seem like we favor one language over the other, jjust cuz someone from the team happens to also speak that language - for example, Embark is Swedish, and we also don't allow Swedish people to talk in Swedish.
this also goes for you, @real obsidian . it's extremely obnoxious when i clearly am being nice, and trying to appease both my bosses and the community, and trying to find a middle ground for everyone to stand on.

now, consider my lack of warnings and mutes and bans void, if i catch any of you being obnoxious or entitled, imma come down on that. the devs added SA servers to allow SA peeps to properly play, as it was a major feedback to the open beta. don't be an ass, just try and be mindful here.

I understand your message and I hope you can read my message as well. Lets recap your perspective. I see that you are against creating specific channels for different languages because it seems to give to "favor one language over the other", but you are still open minded about the rule of only speaking in English so you admit people talking in other languages in some channels. What bothers you is "toxicity", a term that happens globally always and there little to nothing you can do to avoid it. I appreciate your response and being mindful about this, and if you really care I would like to propose a solution for this. Create channels like this one for specific languages, give it a try atleast by creating a rule for it that only on LFG channels it's permited. If someone thinks it gives a favorable position over other languages having a exclusive channel, if they reach out to you complaining, just create another channel for them. if u want to know, I like the idea of ppl making their own temporary voice chats using a bot, so ppl can create a voice chat, rename it and have them limited to 3 by default, also ban ppl from it if they don't want them to join (or make it private and need to whitelist who can join), or kick (that can be made with a discord bot, and only requires 1 text channel for commands, and 1 (always muted) voice chat to join and get dragged to their new voice chat, once the host leave the chat will get deleted)

If they can't understand us, I think that's their problem and not ours. The game was offered in PT-BR, we have a specific channel for our continent and yet we are prevented from speaking in our language? Not everyone can speak English, so at the very least it should be possible on our channel.

I understand the concern about moderation but I suggest you guys to separate this channel into Spanish(Latam) and Portuguese(Brazil) and find someone to moderate (even volunteers) those because of the following:

1. Brazil is the largest country in SA and we don't speak Spanish like the rest of the continent so we'll just look for people that speak Portuguese anyway, same for the fellow Spanish speaking players.
2. People will come here expecting being able to speak Portuguese/Spanish because they can't read the English rules of the server.
3. By not separating the lfg channels what usually happens is that SA community will look for other Discord servers where they can speak their native language and look for groups there, making this channel ultimately pointless.
   In sum, a SA server makes sense because of geographical location but a SA community doesn't because of the language barrier. It's like putting Italy and Spain in the same lfg channel
