from nz usually i get around 150ms US servers are the only ones that i can use apart from oceania, even asian servers are 250 ms. and if i try to play with my friends in argentina of course i get latam servers with 500ms so options are limited. wanted to avoid the more than 100ms ping since im not pro pro at the game and high ms will not help that dont want to end up being a pain in the butt to the rest of the team.

Embark could sponser OCE streamers, run tournaments or ad campaigns, or tempoarily disable SBMM but are choosing to let the server die instead

I have to disagree with you. Ranked has been popping since release but no marketing means they've been losing players faster than they're gaining them. Embark doesn't seem to have made any attempt to get streamers involved, run tournaments or address serious balance issues in a resonable time

i think its time for me to quit the game, cheating situation is out of control, you just get abused over and over in lobbies, you get a rage hacker every 2 matches, the reporting system simply doesn't work, people using melee macros ect. , i've been facing for the past two days the same rage hacker and yet he didn't get banned after he goes on 30 kills and 35k dmg in a single match headshotting from the other side of the map and behind shields, i'm happy enough hitting diamond 1, what a missed opportunity tho. The devs once again showed their real intentions by releasing skins faster than a hamster running in a spinning wheel because they know the game is gonna die within a month, if you would care about the game you would have couple of people looking at the reports or draw some data sheet statistic and hit the ban hammer, it's easy and quick. AI anticheat are ready to be implemented in the game yet they decided to use the worst anti cheat ever that got exploited so many times in other games too just because it's cheap. It was a good choice not spending a single dollar and wait at least 5 weeks. I don't know why you gave up on the game but good luck in the future, you had great ideas but as soon as you saw you had more attention than you expected you preferred the money grab tactic, but I guess your game reflects your idea and concept about the game. It's all about cashing out that vault 😉 peace

Dude, we have so many people that actually give a lot of love to this game. You are losing a whole region of people. Cause we feel like we ain't being heard. The amount of times everyone in this discord has asked to fix OCE servers or connections. We want to play the game. It's getting a bit over it on console when you can't find a game.on Ranked. That's even searching in the Asia region. As soon as I jump on my PC. I can find ranked games under a minute. In Asia. Hardly in OCE cause everyone is in Asia and servers are bugged for ranked.
People love competition and this game. When you have a whole bunch of us wanting to play ranked on console. You will loose a massive player base. As you would know in this day and age some people don't have patients.

There is so much we have said about fixing ranked OCE. And nothing being done about it.

I get search time and region. Blah blah. I make sure we are looking during peak time and all of that.
What you dude ain't understanding. There is a byg on the consoles for ranked search. Bruh Ive sat in a lobby for 45 minutes on both Asia and OCE at peak time. And not a single game. I can get into casual matches as easily on the console. When it comes to ranked good fucking luck. You be sitting in the lobby till the cows come home. It just doesn't work.

When I'm on my PC I can easily find matches in Asia. Not a issue searching.
Countless times I've said this. And replied in the DMS about this. Reported. Nothing.????

This hotfix will bring back the balance changes and the fix to crossplay matchmaking from Patch 1.5.5 that were accidentally lost in the Mid-Season Update 1.6.0. Sorry for the confusion, yolks!

The game is dead, Asia has like 100x more people than OCE so it is kinda clear that there will be more people... NA and EU servers are pretty much the same... Queues sometimes 20 minutes for 1 match against 3 teams with aimbots... Game is pretty much dead all over the world except Asia and even here I see a huge increase of cheaters and Embark does nothing about it...

man, I played on OCE servers due to people speaking english there and I rather had 70 ping than playing on Asia servers with people that barely spoke english... That being said, 2 weeks after release we were usually waiting 30+ minutes for a ranked match but it took 20 seconds up to 1 minute on Asian servers... It started happening around 2 weeks after release cuz the game has cheaters in every single lobby... And it hasnt changed since... Also look how the discord is dead... Someone is looking for group and nobody DM's. nothing... Nobody is interested to play anymore cuz everyone knows that 1 out of 5 games will be fair and the rest will be instant loss cuz cheaters

Yeah oce ranked was still popping just over two weeks ago right before the last c4 nerf/buff..... Asia cheaters are up and down, rage hackers seem to be on the down atm but closest cheaters are still around. Not many cheaters on N/A servers but higher ping 😦

99% of cheaters aint just from Asia... It is all burner accounts... I can also make a new account, smack a chinese name, get aimbot and act like nothing ever happened... You say whatever you want, I do not play on OCE since after christmas cuz the server became completely dead... Doesnt matter anymore though cuz the game is dead everywhere except on Asia servers cuz alot of people from SEA and India regions still play there... The main reason people quit cuz the game is unplayable cuz of cheaters and I was reading on forums that someone was using an aimbot, got banned but had purchased battlepass so he went to Embark support and asked for an unban with words "why would I pay for battlepass and then cheat in the game?" and the same day he got an apology and an unban... There are more active people in The Finals cheating community than there are in here for example... Over 600K downloads on all them free aimbots and so on... So its safe to say that the game is 80% cheaters and 20% legit players... And since the game has 20 to 30K players world wide, I dont think the game will be live for much longer... Almost all complaints to Embark support are people being mad about cheaters... So Embark ignores that and bans everyone from reddit and from this discord the moment they have a problem with cheaters directly...

The Finals is a game made for cheaters... I still play just cuz I have nothing else to play at this point...

Go on steam discussions and all you can see are problems with cheaters... Some people have problems with game performance cuz they are lazy to update their pc or upgrade finally but besides that, its all about cheaters and high majority of negative reviews are cuz of cheaters aswell... Cheat makers on cheat forums are posting aimbots left and right, currently there are around 6 available aimbots and 10 no recoil cheats for free and on all them cheats posted since the game was released there is around 600K downloads by now so dont tell me if a game has 20 to 30K players and cheats have more downloads than the game has active players (note that its all english sites with english speaking people and noone is chinese there), that cheating aint the major problem... On release date the game code was leaked so it is safe to say that one of them devs leaked it and Embark is unable to fix it cuz they dont know they have a rat in their team... I tried to help, I provided Embark with usernames and posts and links to everything and they just brushed me off... If I wanted to I could go and download an aimbot, if I get banned I just go to support and say "I paid for battlepass, I would not dare to cheat" and I get an unban... The game is screwed at this point... What they gotta do is update everything and get a better anticheat.

oce ranked has not existed ever since they tightened the matchmaking, does not matter if you solo duo or trio or even if you do it with a bunch of teams at the same time. at the moment we're doing asia unfortunately.

It aint their fault... OCE just dont have nearly enough players, thats all... What is Embark supposed to do? Give you ability to play ranked against bots or what? Game is free, yet OCE has around 300 to 400 players maximum (AU/NZ combined). If Embark didnt care, they would never even bother to run OCE servers...

@shell hare There's actually been a fuckton of really good ideas posted in this channel that could promote an OCE audience but the Embark community managers won't even acknowledge that there's a problem.

• Adding private matches to promote competitive play / skrims / teams
• Making the "Automatic" region preference only pick asia servers when it can't find an OCE game (this means that people will stop explicitly using Asia which killed a ton of OCE POP)
• Sponsoring OCE creators and running promos for the game
• Not running LTMs like solo bank-it that dilute the already dwindling ranked audience.

The thing is that the reason why the OCE audience is so low is because it slowly trended down to it's death and while that trend was happing embark did nothing to try curb it. The examples above are just a few of the ideas the community has come up with and this is by all means a short list and doesn't even contain some of the best ideas. Assuming that Embark can do nothing about this is ignorant at best

Yeah all that could help but I dont see that people gonna play ranked regardless of whatever... I saw on steam that people starting to request deathmatch and gun game and whatnot... On Asia servers I spent hours and hours grinding Silver 1 to Gold 4 while I was being matched against plat and diamond players... Doesnt seem fair to me so I think they should focus more on the cheater situation and to nerf actual problems like that damage stacking nuke and so on. Overall quality improvements of the gameplay itself, fixing zipline bugs and being stuck in walls and so on. Such things are worth more than a simple promotion of a game. AU content creators I know about play GTA V and R6:S and CS2... Havent seen much even touching The Finals even though they do know about the game but dont want to play cuz cheaters like many other people I follow. It kinda got out of hand with cheaters and there is no simple fix than banning people by reviewing a clip of them which many people cant do cuz they cant run game capture and the game at the same time due to very low end PC so the game needs a text chat and replay feature to inspect cheaters and report them with proper evidence.

Private matches and other things are smart idea to make like a custom game and whatnot cuz it can settle beef between players to run 1v1 and such aswell as help to coordinate people in a clan but from what I saw, if 2 teams are in the same clan, they dont even fight each other in real rank and team up 6v3v3 against everyone... This game wont make it to esports any time soon. It needs alot of work before that can happen.

OCE died out because people never got to learn the game properly, 30K players world wide is not much to say the least... Try to queue on console at any region without crossplay turned on.

People left because their concerns wern't listened too. The lack of pop made everything 10x worse. I don't know if this game will ever recover and it's very likely that this game will die in other regions aswell. Most of the OCE community even players in plat and diamond don't want to queue asia because the experience sucks

I provided Embark support with websites, nicknames, the leaked game code, all them threads, all available cheats and they brushed me off... This was first week after release in December. They did not took the data I provided them and never considered to take care of it. People shout at them because we all want to play the game and we want the game to grow cuz we needed something that aint CS2 or CoD for a long long time. I said that if they wont do anything, the game wont survive till February but the game died half way trough January... Even here if I look for people to play with, it takes up to 2 hours to find a single person...

Also what people say is that Chinese are cheaters but I can say with 100% confidence that except a few, high majority of accounts with chinese names are burner accounts by western people that hide behind chinese nickname and since the game is for free, they blatantly cheat and boost their friends to high ranks, then if they get banned, they make a new account and rinse and repeat.

Rust for example is also using EAC and they have a dedicated admin team that goes all around them servers, each admin does that on multiple servers (except official servers) and if you were cheating in past, they will find you even if you change your HWID and your IP and ban you even if you aint cheating no more... So I think Embark needs a similar group of people that would be inspecting reported players in a match and cancel the match if said player is actually cheating and people whom report said player would get a reward, even a small reward like 100 coins (not VR's) would be amazing and would make the community report everyone that has sus aim and if they were legit, they would be fine... But that would cost them money, so they cant do that.

my PC has current gen parts in it... my FPS went from 240+ all the way down to 120 and sometimes it goes to like 20 FPS for a few seconds... GPU runs fine but the game starts using too much CPU, on low end and on high end respectively... Seems more like game stability issue for some configurations, not for everyone.

yeah man even I can't get higher than 144fps consistantly and normally I play games at 240fps, this game is pretty poorly optimised at the moment. I have noticed some fps drops, lag spikes and stutters here and there but yeah haven't crashed yet. hopefully they can fix it sooner or later

Yeah, I dont know what exactly is happening but at one given point, the whole ranked lobby was crashing one by one and people were reconnecting and I bet that some have Nvidia, some AMD and so on so it cant just be Nvidia driver nor the fact of having mid or low end PC. Yeah, its all happening since 1.8 update. They might be already working on a fix so we dont need to worry. Lets just praise the lord that the game wont crash for us and give us an advantage xD today morning I went solo and in knockout round 3 in my team we had 3, 2 teams had 2 people only and one team had only one person and IDK if he quit or crashed but he left early in the round xD. in final round I was solo in the match against 2 people, almost got 1 cashout but I lost it regardless...

Ahh, unfortunate it is then. They might be able to rejoin to avoid being suspended. My suspension time went all the way up to 2 hours cuz all the times the game crashed before the round ended so if they have enough time, they might be able to rejoin.
