optional = the greyed out bar, rarity = determines colour, name = cosmetic name
ignore it looking a bit scuffed as it still contains the picture yellow bar
red colour = you didn't input a correct rarity or none at all

Idk if it's known, but for the bounce a meteor off your jump pad achievement, you can actually get it during the alien event. If a UFO does it's thing above your jump pad it counts as a meteor and gives you the achievement. Idk if this is even good info for this channel but thought I'd put it here

- A square and circle are 2d, while this info is about 3d objects. But if you think something is too complicated for the reader, it would be a better idea to rewrite the original text than to add a simplified version in parentheses.
- "eventually... after a while" is a tautology,
- why capitalize Equipment if it's not a link to the page,
- Contractions like "it's" instead of "it is" are informal,
- And I don't think the reader should ever be directly addressed like that ("you'll find")
these things all go against wiki standards.

I've made a template that has some instructions on throwable gadgets, and this template would be shown on the page of every throwable gadget. Basically a bit information that's the same on every single page (which is why I put it in a box, to not make it look like we're just copypasting stuff over a bunch of pages)
I'll be making some more of these for other things like 'sticky gadget instructions'...
I know it isn't the prettiest right now. please let me know if you have any ideas for the style.

looks good, I've fixed the font-family also so it looks correct
In terms of it on live pages though, I feel like if we want to use it, it could be used for like trivia points or tutorial points but we would need to look into that. In terms of it taking up like overviews and other standard wiki related information, I feel like that should be left in wiki style just for the ease of editing for newbies.
I think the main thing is we'd rather keep it more wiki like than having it too styled to the point where every page is basically a template and basically acts as a standard website page instead of a wiki page

I agree they shouldn't be used for every type of content, but i think that with specific rules to their implementation they do belong on the wiki.
The rules are:
• It is strictly used to explain how to use something inside the game, in terms of player actions and button controls rather than talking about purpose and strategy like the rest of the wiki content.
• the instructions block is placed after the Usage section
• the instuctions block shouldn't break up a text section
• The content is concise
• it is used when the same information is useful across numerous pages, but can't just be placed on a separate page, as that page would not be interesting enough for people to visit, so the information should be adopted by the pages to which the instruction block is relevant.

(also since its a template if the information changes at a later point it can always be adjusted on all the relevant pages at once)
Here is another example of how it looks for the Barricade
i get it. but i honestly don't see what we gain from having another template when the "Instructions" text can be a section on the Wiki and the image + Controls can live inside the Infobox. the issue with the template rn is that it breaks the page layout when we already have places where the info can live
well, the obvious benefit is that by not just copying the plain text across each page is that there is less overhead when something needs to be adjusted.
but there is another benefit, which is that when this information is contained in a box, readers can 'recognize' the box after they have read it the first time, and skip over it if they already know its contents. if you just paste this information into the actual article, then the article becomes harder to read, as it is harder to recognize that this information is no longer relevant to you
and this information is still relevant, for example some people may not know that you can pick up a barricade. by seeing that the barricade is similar to the jump pad, users may learn this kind of information. but if we put it as plain text, you will not be able to associate that the instruction is the same as the jump pad, because you would skip over the wall of text thinking you already know how this gadget works. this is the benefit of associating gadgets with eachother, in that the barricade is similar to the jump pad for example
also, i don't want the image to float in the article, because then it won't be placed together with the instructions it is relevant to, it's not relevant to the rest of the article
(if you place it in the same section it would appear to the right, but this means there will be ugly lines of text that take up full-width between this image and the infobox)

all the information we have on articles is relevant to the Wiki and it is organized in a way that readers can follow it when reading. i do get the updating part, but instructions on a Gadget would hardly change - that's why we have Templates for things that will be updated periodically, like the Stats (Infobox)
all of the info and assets you created can live in a section, without losing their merit and focus
i hate copy pasting stuff when it could be abstracted. but I understand the argument. another thing is that i liked having an image but it's too much work for me to take an image of every single gadget, while it made sense to use a 'general 'image while the info is in the box
because for example an image of mines on a cashout station demonstrates how sticky gadgets work, but i cant just put an image of mines on a page about motion sensor
tbf I don't think we really need a tutorial for how every gadget works. The people going to the wiki are looking for more advanced things that can't be easily tutorialized, not basic mechanics of the game that are explained in the game.
when i was new to the finals, i would appreciate information like knowing how to rotate a wall, i didn't know that for a long time.

what i'm not particularly keen on is adding another template to these pages when that info (that won't change that much) can live in the article
we use templates when we need to change lots of parameters constantly for many pages, but instructions are a one time thing. so why not just build it once and then let others update in the same page?

that control scheme template is indeed awesome and I do agree with what SPEAR is saying when it comes to templates + normal information that doesn't really change and can easily be put into sections. The main goal is to make it easy to maintain in the end and allow multiple people with varying experience in wiki's to help out.
The image to the right combined with the current text is decent looking. I feel like once pages get more information in the future then it will all start blending together in a good way as at the moment it looks a tad weird in terms of the side picture but that's fine.
The triggers should spell R1, L1, R2 and L2 for the PS. Those are the official names.

I've measured the amount of gas canisters that can fit in 10 meters, and it's 10. so one gas canister is approximately 1 meter in length
although the 10m of the practice range should probably include one yellow stripe, so it's probably a little less than 1.0m per canister

it looks like most grid tiles used in the map buildings are between 2.5m³ and 3m³ (since gas canister is around 0.92m in length)
New gadgets in season 2:
Gateway [LIGHT], a thrown gadget that spawns a portal. Unknown how the exit-portal location is determined, it could be that this is based on your previous usage of the gadget, or a location straight forwards through buildings.
Reshaper [MEDIUM], a tablet gadget which appears to be ground-targeted, and replaces arena objects, including sticky gadgets, turrets and arena carriables. It turns dangerous objects (like a turret or mine) into safe objects (like potted plants). It turns barrels into other barrels for when you need a different type.
Dematerializer [UNIDENTIFIED], antoher tablet gadget which is also ground-targeted, and creates a hole in the surface; however, upon recast, the hole is sealed again like nothing happened. In the video, it is used to bring down a cash box through the ceiling, and to poke through a wall.
Gravity cube [HEAYV], a thrown gadget which also appears to deploy upon first impact. It lifts up everything like a UFO tractor beam, but unlike the UFO, it also lifts up cashout stations and contestants.
Map:
after analyzing the architecture, i can safely say it's a completely new map and not a reskin of an existing map. It's arcade-themed mixed with modern-futurist architecture and very visually unique compared to existing maps. Two of its variants include: the left picture, and the right picture which appears to be vaporwave inspired.
Additionally, there appears to be a new gun.
It looks similar to the SA shotgun but its details do not match.

And in the technical section, perhaps displaying the time it takes to perform a backstab would also be good information to note down.
I would probably suggest replacing this with dash as far more lights use dash compared to cloak with the dagger, as cloak is much easier to detect compared to closed beta.
I took the individual frames @60fps and there is a 700ms delay after initiating the secondary attack before it hits the target.
May also be worth to mention that you can kill a heavy near instant by using quick melee right after the backstab, you can also do this to heavies which have a healing beam on them but the timing has to be very fast.

They're so uneven lol
Some can get level 6 in like, 15 games if you farm them hard. Others will take tens of hours
And I'm pretty confident the Pyro Nade xp is bugged. Most damaging gadgets earn 1xp per 1-5 damage dealt, while the Pyro gets roughly 20xp per point of damage lol
I've been surprised at how fast my pyro grenade leveled up, when I basically never use it
Yup. Pyro Nade and Breaching Charge are, I think, the fastest natural farms just by playing normally
Which is interesting. Are they not used as much? I know a lot of people who run Breach Charge
and Pyro, for that matter. I might not use Pyro as much because I am a support build. Even in other builds I don't reaally use it regardless of weight class
Breaching Charge is actually super spammable, it just gets a tonnnneee of xp for environmental damage. Very little for PvP damage though
If you really try to farm environmental damage with it, you can get upwards of 25 000xp in a single match
Pyro Nade just seems to have straight broken damage conversion. E.g. gas nades and gas mines seem to convert player damage to xp 1:1, RPG converts at a rate of 5dmg:1xp - Pyro is more like 1dmg:20xp
So I guess farm your level 6 Pyro Nades if you haven't already, cause it could get patched if it really is busted
RPG and Zipline are the worst. Explosive Mines are pretty woeful too

the barricades also get a lot of xp naturally
Its not hard to farm exp cause you can place upto 6 at a time...
I've created a bunch of redirect pages for equipment items that are written in uppercase.
This way, the corresponding weapon actually shows up when you type it in the search bar
did it this way since I understand there have been some difficulties fixing the issue of searches not ignoring case, but having no search results pop up was just too confusing for users, so this is a band-aid. if the issue gets fixed at one point these pages can be removed
The page for the Model 1887 could do with a blurb mentioning that if you hold down the fire button after reaching 0 shells, you will continually reload one shell and fire, effectively making it a pseudo-full-auto.
It should also mention that it's more efficient to reload at 3/6 and 0/6 due to the player putting in two shells at once.

It's usually a model number, but it depends on the gun manufacturer. Like glock uses the patent number for their guns, some others use what year the weapon was designed/invented/issused
And another thing, the m14 is not a modernized M1 grand, as they use entirely different feeding systems, and ammo calibers

Be advised: the following is personal theory
SH1900: Very simply put, a SHotgun from the 1900s
🇺🇸 SR-84: While developed in 1985, the Robar RC-50 looks similar
🇫🇷 XP-54: In 1954 the french Erop was developed. Maybe it was a first design for the gun? We know how the M11 drastically changed models.
I'll have a look into the others later
SH1900: Instead of shotgun it could be 'shorty'. Found these two guns that closely resemble it:
(keep in mind that the SH1900 is a sawed-off, pistol-grip shotgun, and most images are full length and include the comb on the back.)
Spartan SPR220 is a particularly close match in its silhouette, to the point where you could say it may have been the reference image for the SH1900 modelers.
Do you mean for the upper body section of the cosmetics page? maybe you can ask someone who owns the cb2 stealth outfit to take a screenshot of the icon. unless you mean an image of the rendered outfit
The M14 represented a modernized update to the M1 Garand, with numerous upgrades and enhancements. However, the most obvious change was the switch from the Garand’s en-bloc clip system to the M14’s detachable box magazine system. (https://www.thearmorylife.com/an-m14-garand/)

The M14 represented a modernized Garand, yes, but it uses an entirely different assembly. It'd be better to call it a successor rather than a derivative since they share almost zero parts with each other aside from the sight assembly.

To my knowledge it's a 1:1 replica of the SOCOM 16, which in and of itself is based on an M1A while implementing the M14A1's handguard.
I still think the M14E2/M14A1 is a closer call than the Garand/regular M14

it's planned as a section! ^ Volt's research is somewhat old, and some of the research is outdated by updates, but not all of it . If you would like to do some new research, it would be helpful.
as for invisibility, you get XP for the amount of seconds you had it enabled in the round. no exact conversion rate is known atm, volt probably has it (he's out of town at the moment)

At the time I tested, bearing in mind I haven't played S2 yet and they've apparently made some changes, cloak only gained xp for each time you activate it.
Time spent invisible, proximity to enemies while invisible, and attacking from invisibility - none of them gave any kind of xp bonus.
You get 20xp each time you toggle cloak on, that's it.
As a result, the fastest way to level it up is to rapidly spam turning cloak on and off, wait for it to recharge, then spam it again.
It's annoying, and it's boring, but that's all that contributed when I tested it
Oh! that means the nerf to invisibility, where it costs 2 seconds to trigger it instead of 1 second, is a big hit to this xp farmer 
Yeah it's not great, but my testing took place after that change, and spamming it practically all game still resulted in an xp gain between 4000-6500 per round depending how long it went
It's just a really boring one to farm

I can test the data reshaper today since I've been grinding its mastery levels. It's most likely either times activated or number of objects reshaped.
i've researched data reshaper,
data reshaper is 20 XP per use, amount of objects reshaped does not matter (only tested using it on barrels tho)
but since it doesn't matter how many barrels you take, i reckon it gives XP on activate, so it doesn't matter if you're transforming enemy traps instead

how ya'll finding the XP values? 
you can try to capture the XP gains at the end of the match, but it's easier to write down how much XP you have on an item from the equipment menu before and after the game and then compare.
in the game, you use the gadgets sparingly, just enough to analyze which interactions with the gadget are giving you XP, so e.g. you write down that you jumped on a jump pad 5 times and placed one down 7 times (or you just record your game and skip through the footage afterwards)
if you got +1400 XP after the game, you would know that it's probably +200XP per placement and no XP for jumps (of course with more tests, you can test additional interactions and the more tests the more sure you can be)
play a mode where you can swap to your reserves, so that you can test 4 additional items besides your regular loadout throughout the game
for some gadgets like the grenade you get XP for damage, so the best way to measure that is to eliminate yourself after dealing dmg to an enemy (e.g. putting 2 mines at your feet) so you can see the damage recap and note that down

it's not about the color, it's just really not necessary in this table - that's all. we don't add more things that the viewer needs to figure out for the sake of aesthetics or looking like the game. that's why you'll see many things staying rather simple and wiki-ish
i dont agree. if this was really the style you were going for then Infobox should have looked like a borish table as well, but you went for something more playful. and to be clear, i would also say that's the right direction for a wiki about this game. so i wouldn't feel too pressed about making the wiki look like a monthly sales report instead of making it a bit more fun where it's appropriate.
in this case its just a highlighted number. the 'hard to understand' thing doesnt really apply here imo. anyway this is just my two cents.

the Scout is what's on the wiki right now but aside from the top weaver it looks NOTHING like the SR-84
another thing to note: the SR-84's weaver rail isn't integral, it snaps onto the irons
it's easiest to see on the Eerie Ossuary or Scrapyard Scars skins

here's the sniper doing around 33% of a medium's health, which is 83 dmg (instead of the usual 115)

yes, one could use input type=range, which your browser will turn into a slider, with the right css it should be possible to make something w/o js scripts
