Is there any interest for casual uncut gameplay with some casual commentary to go with it, or is that more likely to immediately traumatise everyone and be labelled as a crime against humanity? I’ve always preferred the uncut gameplay content but maybe that’s just me.

I think a lot of uncut gameplay happens on peoples streams now days. If you want to do longer form content you can do tutorials, or lore videos as those do pretty well. Most people in the community like to see fast, impressive plays which is why you see a lot on montages.

I mostly just do Shorts on my channel, because the YT algorithm seems to heavily favor Shorts and promotes them like crazy. I occasionally upload a full uncut match, but I find that people tend not to stick around for those nearly as much. I've only got like ~70 subs, but they almost all came from my Shorts. But also, I'm not really trying to be a content creator or anything and just like sharing some of my favorite moments in the game, so I'm not studying my analytics too closely, myself. If you're trying to build a following, Shorts are probably a good way to get some easy boosts to your channel.

I was also under the impression that shorts are pushed more widely but that's probably to do with the fact that they're a lot easier for people to digest as well (seconds instead of minutes). I have yet to try any shorts, though! I've also heard from others that shorts viewers are very hard to translate into other types of content, like long forms and streams. Any thoughts on that?

Yep, that's pretty much in line with my own preferences as well. I wouldn't really watch full lenght videos without commentary, but once there's some decent commentary I really enjoy the uncut matches, much more so than the clips and highlights. I just find it more interesting to see the actual gameplay with all the highs and lows and whether they pull out a win or not than watching the highlights etc. Based on your numbers it seems that YouTube is doing a decent job of feeding your shorts to people in their feeds and you're getting some pretty decent numbers from it too! Good stuff!

That's understandable. The 2100 multibucks is mostly what makes it worth it for me since I rarely use outfits from battle passes. I use the shit out of weapon skins, and the multibucks allows me to buy cosmetics I will use.

premium battle pass costs 1150 ($10), premium+ costs 2400 ($20), and gives you +20 levels. the ultimate bp does cost a whole $30, but it comes with those +20 levels, the ultimate skins, %25 match xp boost for the whole season, and 1000 mbs. even if you didn’t weigh xp boost and extra 1000 mbs towards the cost, it’s only $10 more expensive then the premium+. that’s abt $10 extra for some rly solid skins in an already great bp imo. i understand it can be frustrating, but devs need to earn a living too. dn complain abt stuff that’s not actly an issue
