C4 does not reach there, you need to hit it with an RPG 20 times so that it is completely destroyed. i don't mind cosmetics, but i don't like how it becomes such a big part of the free to play games. I understand its how the devs make money, and i want them to make good money if the game is good, but i want to be able to customize my character and make them look cool, get cool skins and stuff WITHOUT having to fork over more of my own money. Microtransactions are fine to have for those who don't mind spending, but give players who can't afford to do that a way to earn those items if they invest enough time in the game themselves. People who love and play the game a lot should be rewarded accordingly and not gatekept from getting cool stuff is all I'm really saying. I think that's reasonable to ask.

Oh right it's been so long since I played Fortnite. That was an AMAZING part of the battle pass, being able to earn enough to actually buy the next one for free. I'd honestly think 360+ FPS is a bit unrealistic given the scope of this game. on low settings with a 4090 + DLSS 3? maybe. but I'd imagine that nothing other than that will achieve that frame rate.

Well, the GT710 achieves 30 to 40 FPS in Apex (which is a pretty intensive source game), and 60+ FPS on Fortnite which is a game that runs on Unreal 5 (just like THE FINALS)
The game still needs a lot of optimization for low to mid range systems, that's undeniable
*This game is usually bottlenecked by the CPU, all benchmarks I saw during the construction of this argument were recorded on similarly specced CPUs (3/4th gen i3s)

I get that the technology is advancing and all, but "Buy a better PC" isn't an argument when there's literally room for improvement (and yes i get it, it's a beta, I'm just saying, they can't leave the game in this state if they want anybody to play their game competitively, let alone have it succeed at all)

Apex is not GPU intensive at all... And Fortnite can run on a toaster(& has been optimized for years). I'm sorry but you are expecting a card that launched at the bottom of the budget barrel in 2016, to play a modern demanding title, (that's actually implementing UE5's new features) not just using the engine.
Those cards are severely outpaced by even budget laptops and APU's now.

I will say, however, Fortnite has indeed picked up Lumen and Nanite which are arguably way more intensive on hardware than The Finals even with RTXGL given its open world and 100 people. (plus when you enable Nanite it increases the polycount insanely) and even that manages to run at 100 FPS.

And since Embark is trying to use new technologies to push the industry forward. It would be interesting to see them use this, AI anti cheat that looks at the player patterns and compares it with AI on a pixel base to see if the player is using cheats or legit. I don't expect anyone from Embark to react to this, but I thought it would be cool to share none the less.
