During Waterdance’s stream, Rob mentioned Carolux Rex -> Charles XII, King of Sweden.

ok, an interesting connection here:

"Apart from being a monarch, the King's interests included mathematics, and anything that would be beneficial to his warlike purposes. He is credited with having invented an octal numeral system, as well as a more elaborate one with the base 64, which he considered more suitable for war purposes because all the boxes used for materials such as gunpowder were cubic. According to a report by contemporary scientist Emanuel Swedenborg, the King had sketched a model of his thoughts on a piece of paper and handed it to him at their meeting in Lund in 1716. The paper was reportedly still in existence a hundred years later but has since been lost."

Emanuel Swedenborg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emanuel_Swedenborg): "In 1724, he was offered the chair of mathematics at Uppsala University, but he declined and said that he had dealt mainly with geometry, chemistry and metallurgy during his career. He also said that he did not have the gift of eloquent speech because of a stutter, as recognized by many of his acquaintances; it forced him to speak slowly and carefully, and there are no known occurrences of his speaking in public.[27] The Swedish critic Olof Lagerkrantz proposed that Swedenborg compensated for his impediment by extensive argumentation in writing."

So recently on stream Rob has been playing a bit (wayyyy tooo much) with his "mute button" on his mic

#

And digging a little I saw that DICE had been founded by ancient members of demogroup The Silents

#

He has been in 4 groups, and the only one that still has an active website is iNSANE

#

That would explain why he's always typing with lowercase i in uppercase words

#

Also why the letter "i" is so important

#

And a good connection to Alice, with the "mad hatter", and the cat that tells her "I'm mad, you're mad"

#

Then in one of the demos Rob contributed to, there is that visual with "iNSANE" being abbreviated "iNS"

#

Very very reminiscent of CNS

#

And in another demo where he also contributed, there is "sweet dreams"

#

And since we know that there are some CNS documents out there on "some website", and that there are on an "old website" and not one of the sponsors, I feel like this is probably the best place to search!

#

Also in iNSANE there is sLASH, which could be a connection to all our "slash /" clues

burnt sun
dull marsh
#

Ok so I have done a bit more digging and got onto a weird "coincidence"

#

So we have burrw that seems to be about a sound chip, and 1997something

#

It's a red pulse, and we've had holtow's red dot, related to the red moon, etc.

#

By Jabberwock!! Which is the name of the creature from the nonsensical poem from Through The Looking-Glass, and is a movie made by Terry Gilliam who directed Monty Python Holy Grail, and has a verse of the poem on Central Park's sculpture

#

And it's a music, which would explain why we had a sound chip in burrw

#

Then the ID of this music in the URL is 165847

#

The fact that it ends by 47 caught my eye, given it's a clue and we've had "47 too many", so I focused on 1658 instead

#

In 1658, Sweden's King Charles X Gustav (X marks the spot) started the "March Accross the Belts"

#

This is part of the Second Northern War

#

3 years earlier, on 18 November 1655 the Swedes invested the fortress-monastery of Częstochowa! This is the place in Poland where there is the armor of the "Black Knight" and was related to some clues from CNS

Looking up "Klee 1064" I get Twittering Machine which is in New York's MoMA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twittering_Machine

Twittering Machine (Die Zwitscher-Maschine) is a 1922 watercolor with gouache, pen-and-ink, and oil transfer on paper by Swiss-German painter Paul Klee. Like other artworks by Klee, it blends biology and machinery, depicting a loosely sketched group of birds on a wire or branch connected to a hand-crank. Interpretations of the work vary widely: ...

Götar eller göter (fornnordiska: gautar) är en protohistorisk benämning på forntidens invånare i Västergötland, Östergötland, Dalsland och Värmland. Såsom etnisk benämning användes namnet fortfarande under medeltiden. Idag är det dock vanligast att invånarna i området betecknar sig som värmlänningar, dalslänningar, västgötar och östgötar. Rob refers to the white rabbits as "WRs" (White Rabbits). I was just reminded that Warren Robinett shares those initials. #easter-eggs message

Just in case anybody isn't aware, Warren Robinett created Adventure (1980). He hid his own name in the game, which massively popularized and effectively originated the concept of the "video-game easter egg".

As pointed out before, a warren is an interconnected network of burrows, used by rabbits. Rob specifically used the WRs and "burrow" as the AiW clue examples on Waterdance's stream, and "warren" has a double R in its center.

I found something interesting about the barcode. First of all, it appears to be a binary barcode with only two types of bars: thin and thick. HOWEVER, there also seem to be two types of spaces: narrow and wide. I'm not sure if the spaces have any significance. Typically, barcodes use four types of bars, not just two.

Additionally, if I understood correctly, barcodes with separators ( https://imgur.com/a/nNLiWoM ) must have the separator exactly in the middle. However, in our case, the separator is on the left side of the barcode, not centered.

If we take the simplest approach and interpret the barcode as Morse code, we get the following sequence:

--. .. .-. .. .--- .- --. .. .-. .. .--- .- --. .. .-. .. .--- .-

This translates to:

GIRIJAGIRIJAGIRIJA

A quick search provides this information:

Derived from Sanskrit, this name is a combination of two words: giri meaning mountain and ja meaning born of or coming from. Thus, Girija symbolizes a person who is born or has roots in the mountains.

And

Girija (गिरिज) is another name (synonym) for Karbudāra, which is the Sanskrit word for Bauhinia variegata (orchid tree)

If it's “city with a famous theater”, it could be Berlin, but this seems unlikely given that the last letter is guessed to be an L

in fact, every single city in the game has a theater nowadays

I agree it looks like a B
