On the other hand, Ernest Shackleton was an explorer which sailed south for scientific and geographic purposes. The deliberately got stranded in ice near the south pole. During an expedition on the Endurance ship (along with the Aurora ship), the ship suffered damages and sank. They ended up stranded on moving ice sheet, and then ended up reaching land with lifeboats 557km away from where their boat sunk, after 497 days. Sounds like that's the story being referred to in the highlights video!

However, just so you know, there are currently only Type 6 Easter Eggs in the Highlights - so nods or references to various things, but nothing related to your EE hunt (if there is anything, it is actually coincidental!). Cool that you spotted the Shackleton reference though (the Discovery Expedition thing is a good example of it being coincidental). The names mentioned by Scotty and June are only ever those who submitted the clip, even if it is from someone else's perspective in-game, as we ask those who submit clips what name they would like us to use and stick to that (sometimes it's not even the name that appears in the HUD).

i really want to get to the bottom of the namatamas and why they exist. But first if you replay the closed beta 2 trailer at the 7s mark at 0.25x speed it looks like the person is hurting the namatama. It's also in the S2 trailer at 1:01s 0.25x speed.

HOWEVER. Upon closer inspection, just before the CNS image pops up, it's a person ripping off a mask that is the namatama. Im not gonna spam w another picture so here's this from BIGOIL #easter-eggs message at the top of the picture it's an arm.

It appears that this person rips off their mask breaking the namatama. There's even a wire at the ride side that shows up for a little bit.

I think there's two possibilities: The namatama's code has been broken so CNS can enter The Finals undetected OR the namatama is already planted by CNS since the beginning and that yellow side thing is where the connection goes into the mask irl.

I think the golden namatamas are hints towards the bigger picture to brrow, such as the first nama was found buried under rubble.

Crazy theory time: The Namatamas are CNS. Mascots are mascots for The Finals and namas aren't tied to a particular brand or sponsor. So that means they're free range ( 🥁 ) when it comes to hyping up the crowd.
If we assume the trailer theory and continue on with the mask theory, then that means they are controlled by people as other mascots are in the real world. So if CNS can control namas.. then the N could stand for Namatama. So it could be Collective Nama Syndicate or Collective Nama Surveillance. Or Collective Nama Society, something like that idk.

my only supporting evidence i would like to use is when rob eye'd someone's message on the central nervous theory. So the mascot (the nama in this case) connects to the person like a nervous system.

I was looking at the hot gossip code again, and I found out that if you convert all the numbers to their respective english letter (skipping the 00s), the letters you get are KLNOVWX, which consists of the letters for the word KNOW and LXV, which are all roman numerals.
Additionally, if you start from the bottom left part of the code (the number is 11), and move up one and right one index, wrapping around to the bottom and left when necessary, the resulting string is KNOWXN_VV_LNK_X (underscores are 00s), which could possibly translate to KNOW10N_55_50NK_10

Idk if this information is useful or not, I'm still pretty new so I'm not 100% sure what has gone on in the past few weeks, but hopefully this helps

I've made some progress on some new connections, and also what I now think the overall Easter Egg puzzle and the lore of THE FINALS is about. I'm going to include this in the video I'm currently working on, but want to share it here first.

These connections came about because I was wondering why Rob might be pointing us to New York City, and then why gold and things like marble (CaCO3) have been such important clues, and how all of it might connect to a game that features MultiCo and the sponsors as central characters. I started reading more about New York's wealthiest citizens in the 1800s - the likes of Andrew Carnegie ("The Prince of Steel"), JP Morgan ("The Kingpin of Wallstreet"), John D. Rockefeller ("King John"), Cornelius Vanderbilt ("The Commodore" (maybe a C64 connection); his statue is at Grand Central Station), and others. They built many marble buildings during their time and amassed enormous wealth. These guys were known as the Robber Barons https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robber_baron_(industrialist) and were portrayed by this cartoon of an Octopus by Udo Keppler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udo_Keppler, which I think is what the OSPUZE Octopus is based on.

The period where the Robber Barons dominated New York's wealth was known as The Gilded Age https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilded_Age, which was portrayed as an era of serious social problems masked by a thin gold gilding of economic expansion. Immediately before the Gilded Age, Central Park was created as a location of respite from the city's rapid development. The name Gilded Age satirized the term Golden Age, which is used to describe periods that are the peak for things - and Golden Ages are where many of the clues for the entire easter egg puzzle come from - the golden ages of science (astronomy, chemistry), gaming (1970s-1980s-early 1990s - Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones), movies (spaghetti westerns, James Bond), music (Elvis, Van Morrison, Beethoven), Space (Apollo program) and so on. So we have these clues from the Golden Ages that, when combined, point to New York's Gilded Age.

And I think this may be what the entire lore of THE FINALS is based on - THE FINALS is an analogy for Central Park in the Gilded Age (The Met museum was built during this time too) - THE FINALS gameshow was created just prior to the Gilded Age the game is now in, as an escape for contestants from the Robber Barons in the Meatspace that are MultiCo, OSPUZE and the other sponsors with their CEOs, but which has now become overtaken by them anyway, and that is why CNS wants to take back what is theirs, to return it to the place of respite, that it once was.

There's another couple of connections about Udo Keppler too, which I'll add in a moment.

You might recall that Rob made this comment on one of my videos, with a whole bunch of cryptic clues including the date of April 4. Udo Keppler was born on April 4. Udo also created Puck magazine, with the magazine being named after the character Puck from Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' - the building housing the magazine has two Puck mascot statues on it - they hold a mirror, a pen and a book in their hands (a possible connection to the mirror clues).

Also, during the Gilded Age, there was a shift in where the main supply of oil came from, moving from Whale Oil (cetacea) to crude oil. New York also saw what were known as the Dead Rabbit riots https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Rabbits_riot (possible White Rabbit connection).

Yes there is a new code but its random everytime. First you need to go into practice range, go to the roses and activate the EE… its random everytime to activate it. Then, go on sys horizon and destroy all computers with a CNS imagine image on them. Then go to monaco and activate the cannons in a specific order. Then you get a code for special item

idk how in depth this thing has gotten but at first glance all the mines seem to have unique undersides/wear/fingerprint smudges. Mine is the same texture mirrored 4 times (lol) pyro is totally different tho (easier to see on the red skin)
