The Insane Theory:
(Almost all of the below 'facts' have been simplified so that they take up less space in this message, and in my brain)

• Paul Klee is best known as an early 20th century artist, but he also shared an interest in science.
• At the turn of the 19th/20th century there were competing theories on what made up the universe - atomistics and energetics.
• One of the leading scientists pushing energetics, the idea that everything at it's core is energy, was Wilhelm Ostwald
• Wilhelm won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1909 despite his somewhat controversial theories
• Paul Klee demonstrated an understanding of energetics in some of his illustrations, notably the ones he did for Candide - a reprint of an early 18th century French satirical.

I get what you mean though - either there's more there to extract, and doing so (coupled with what else we've managed to work out) would be too big a leap to solving it, so he can't really give a hint. Or he's actually giving us hints, but we're just not correctly linking them to those images. There's a possibility that those images don't actually need to hide much because the answer is largely derivable from previous tiers.

I was putting roses on the spawners that have a limit of 5. One of the two explo spawners can only spawn five while the other can spawn 10 max. THe gas and goo also can only spawn 5.
