history buff here, alot of the times on wall mounted cannons [as shown in images] and on the monaco map the letter engraved on the cannon would most of the time be the city where they originally were built from as during the time that cannons were in high demand if you got your cities name out by branding the cannon you would get more customers to order cannons rather than your rival city as back then people were more loyal to their city than to their nation

it is one of the heavy reasons why Venice had such a major rivalry with Genoa, Geneva and Switzerland

While Grinding out ranks. I have found some information that may be useful. The Plaque that says "Invitation K. Verkade 1982" references a piece of art that was made by Kees Verkade. It was made of Bronze. Well that got me thinking. The Bronze age. During the bronze age they used gold and bronze and silver for flair basically. There is a Archeological peice thats named "The Nebra Disc" that is made of blue green patina and Gold. It was dated to the bronze age (1800–1600 BCE and attributed to the Early Bronze Age) The pattern of stars was axiomatically presumed as Pleiades constellation. probably not relevant note. when they found the disc they found 2 swords in bronze.
