yeah theres alot to unpack. luckily outlast trials is way too far back to really connect to anything in 1 and 2

its more or less you see characters referenced in outlast 1 and 2 show up in trials

thats what i love abt the game too, its not too lore heavy for the entire series and instead focuses on its own contained story

all i can remember is murkoff is corrupted corp working with government backed by cia and everything immune to everything then easterman had a power trip doing experiments on some lunatics that became prime assets and other became ex pop and reagents are some test rats doing trials then something something idk outlast 2 happens then idk what then outlast 1 happens and that's where world explode

so the invasion program did work in dividing reagents and making them alot more desensitized to murder, but its actively also ruining the entire program the whole trials are for.......

I just discovered a major flaw with linux...it doesn't run wallpaper engine like expected

the app installs and run with proton from steam as usual, but it can't apply the wallpaper because of how linux desktop environments and compositors are very different from each other and from windows and there's no native build for linux

solutions like wallpaperengine linux-git on github and a gui for it mostly solve this issue but the wallpaper overdraw the desktop so if i have icons on the desktop it will overdraw them and i use desktop icons :(
