TBF I've been running CachyOS for about a month or two now and haven't really had any serious problems. Only problem I've had is the bottom panel disappearing after kde had a hiccup and I had to manually add it back through edit mode.

you should do it honestly, very simple and stable linux distro and the os is immutable so you can't destroy it by accident like other linux distro

what made me switch to it from nobara and cachy is that they optimized and tuned the os for laptops too! didn't see that with cachy and especially nobara lot of problems with performance and asusctl and asusd stuff

cachy just didn't work for me even tho I love pacman

whatever distro is, choose the one you can easily get support from real human than LLMs or you rather than stay with windows and save some time

cachy is good but bazzite just have an iso that is made for asus laptops and that made a lot of things easier for me and actually gave me a lil performance boost, setting up asusctl and asusd services and supergfxctl was a bit tricky because they don't implement it in the iso anymore and i had to edit some file to be able to install asusctl but it was relatively easy with asking in the bazzite discord

it's just respect laptops and i have a laptop so it's the best for me

on the other hand nobara was a problem with me in many things

i mean I'm a newbie to linux in general and especially how bazzite makes the user install anything i have to use rpm-ostree and ujust and brew and i hardly knew pacman from cachy and dnf from nobara and just got started to use dnf and was kinda comfortable with it then boom a whole new system with bazzite

so ofc I'm not gonna ask the discord every question like "how do i install this?" and in the end it's a simple rpm-ostree install command lol i will ask LLM ofc and tbh they aren't bad

i had to ask the discord how to get asusctl because it was a little tricky on bazzite since it's immutable had to edit some file in the system

even better bazzite and asus contribute in OGC project, so that's a plus too, their discord server are also full of people talking all the time
