Yeah @novel gulch for a few years, we had so many issues. a big problem is we had laborers,/construction workers coming from places like India, and a few other Third World countries. And in order to maximize profit, dubai was paying significantly above what they would make back home in India for instance, but not what you would commonly see in the west. while unethical, this was at a time when dubai was developing and needed cheap labor in order to sustain the country. Although now with more people, and a higher influx of tourism and money, wages have significantly increased, we have significantly less censorship in the media. The only censorship we do is for brutal crime, and that's mostly for the privacy of the families. as well as now that we have better relations with the United States, they've pushed for dubai to kind of become a Middle Eastern version of LA/Las Vegas

There is, dubai has become a bit of the hub of the Middle East. We have a few different militaries from Europe and the United States, that act as a bit of protection. a lot of countries in the Middle East now considered Dubai as a real powerhouse and strong figure. There's a lot of pressure for other countries to follow in Dubai footsteps in terms of coming into a more modern lifestyle, and a separation of religion and state. In all honesty, comparing the US to Dubai right now there are times where we have a lot less separation of religion and politics in the US does. In a funny way it's quite ironic (I say this having been born in Texas and growing up there)

That is Abu Dhabi, and a co-project with Saudi. the main goal is to create a perfectly sustainable city, considering that we live in the middle of the desert, there's not a lot of places to grow crops etc. As well as of course there is a big push to protect and preserve the desert nature, etc.. Saudi has so much money, that they're starting to realize they need to do some kind of good with it. and so instead of funneling it back into their own pockets or from one family pocket to another. They're putting it into something in the sense of an investment, the line, which is basically a straight line of a city that shoots all the way to Abu Dhabi, I believe in theory will be able to run and protect itself 100% with no help from the outside. Imagine a really really long futuristic city apartment complex that run across this Sahara and is able to function completely on its own.

I can't remember if the name is the line exactly, but it's something around that nature. Pretty cool project, should take abt 10-20 years.

In mere seconds my world has gone from vibrant life, to a dark, earth shattering void where my body is getting torn apart by the 150mph gale force winds and the 500 decibel groan of the cooling fans.
