funny because they don't update arc raiders at all, at least not meaningful updates, they re-skinned 2 arc and called it a monthly update, then they added a random box to give u bullshit items you can get anywhere else in the game, and re-skinned another arc, now it's getting a new map which looks like a PvE dream so they can fully kill off the pvp incentive in that game

i see finals ending prob season 15 or so, i dunno it seems like it wont last long, too many issues in the game, servers are horrendous, mm sucks, weapons arent even balanced, melee sucks ass, lights thermal is out of the game for like 385745 years, i just dont get why they dont make it into a cold blood perk where explosives, turrets, etc dont go off, or its a emp shockwave that does 1 burst and emps everything

Most fps players know what the finals is, so marketing isnt an issue till there is a new concept to market. Most of them even think the game is at least good if not great. Its just a hard game to to get hooked on. Personally, I enjoyed it but i didnt come back on daily basis till i poured like 30 hours in.

arc raiders didnt have nearly as much hype and build up as youre thinking, the success was not expected at all considering they didn't even have the servers to support it with the constant server problems within the first few weeks, peanut popularized the game like it or not, it would have never reached 450k peak players on the same exact day as his "hutch & peanut war" without his help

I think claiming a single streamer pushed a games popularity that hard when it had hundreds of thousands of active players is pretty delusional.

Watching a stream has a much lower barrier to entry than buying and playing a game, so the stream audience will be a lot bigger than the number of actual players who were part of that audience, and then still the number of players who were brought in by it rather than the other way around will be a good bit lower than that.
