Yeah ive BEEN saying bfr as a weapon goes against everything heavy is made for. I love the weapon and think its very cool but heavy isnt SUPPOSED to have long range chunk damage or really any sniper adjacent weapon. Every class does not need every type of gun. Light has a sniper with crazy damage but it isnt overpowered bc light has 150 hp. It just doesnt make sense that heavy can now sit with a heal orb and heal beam medium and dome shield and just chunk half your health with 1 shot from a completely safe position with 350 hp

To me, the bfr is the revolver for heavy. Not great body ttk, really great if you hit headshots. However, its main issue is its range. Lowering that is best. But at that point, running deagles would just be better to use

The deagles would not be better to use, they're too different, the only reason they're comparable is because they can both be used long range - but the BFR is a poke/burst weapon while the deagles are more sustained. Ttks dont have to be as fast if you can remove half of one of the enemies health in one shot from range with a hitcan projective while you have the most health and things like shield and dome which allow you to peak safer and longer, additionally the bfr has some "QM 1 shot combos" which embark have said previously they didnt want in the game and thus they removed them from heavy's sledge, then proceeded to add it back on a ranged weapon which has extremely good hipfire and it's ranged. Those I feel, are the problems with the BFR - and some of these problems would not disappear if you nerfed the range.
