Well I solo-Q and also threw my rank at the start of the season as i played first day of the season with my friend who was brand new

The general consensus I've seen (including from light and heavy mains, because medium player opinions haven't really mattered here for a long time) is that medium is actually fairly weak compared to heavy and light rn, and I can totally see where they're coming from. Demat, Famas, and Pike are carrying medium on their backs rn and I feel like nerfing demat a little while buffing another part of medium's kit could really help it balance-wise in the long run.

Larger area also makes it better for movement and pulling down teammates/enemies, and able to much more consistently actually get through things. Closing after 15 seconds, I'm not sure about, but I personally think it's a minor buff - I can more easily think of scenarios where that is advantageous than disadvantageous, though maybe better players disagree.

I think data reshaper’ll get it’s third charge back eventually. They’ve added a couple more placeable gadgets since that patch, and the healing emitter especially has encouraged people to place dozens of barricades and shields and sensors and mines and healballs.

And the reshaper kinda struggles to keep up with the amount of stuff people throw down these days. I’d like to see it back up to 3 charges.

Generally, no matter how good you are, you'll almost never be able to get more value out of a single gadget than one of your teammates, assuming you're all platinum and above.

I think my main issue is with demat being able to completely circumnavigate any sort of setup, just, on command. Dropping cashouts two stories and sealing them back up immediately when an enemy spent time bunkering up is a lil frustrating. That’s why I think heavy should get a gadget that works like a counter to the demat, that turns terrain silver/gold, and makes them indestructible/highly resistant, and most importantly, immune to demat, for a period.

Could be a cool way to counter super destructive builds, or to funnel where enemies approach, similar to goo, but more targeted. Maybe it’d last indefinitely until you apply it to a new spot, and it only has one charge, that affects say, 2x the radius of the reshaper.
