Just keep the multihit but make it do less damage on each subsequent hit per lunge.
So you'd hit the first player for 140, second for 90, third for 50 or something like that.

I'd say it should just be smarter, more aware, the way it is now would work in a map with fixed choke points and entries, and it does work perfectly when people use those elements in THE FINALS, but when the map eventually starts getting morphed and more dynamic, it fails to keep up
