Theres no gear treadmill other than new savage tiers being released once every however many months
Raiding content is satisfying but not extensive unless you are interested in ultimates
Leveling alts is much simpler since your character can do every job, so you won't need to start all over
I think most jobs feel fun to play although ff has a bit of a thing for homogenizing jobs so there isn't a ton of diversity among each job type (tank, heal, melee, caster, ranged)

The rings around the heads signify how far back in mechanics it gets replayed;
one ring repeats the mechanic+direction it just did
two rings does the mechanic+direction before that
and three rings does the mechanic at the start of the mini-phase.
The middle head always turns clockwise, so you just need to remember where the 2nd AoE hits as the first middle head AoE is the opposite direction of the final middle head AoE.
After that, it’s a quick check of the outer 4 heads. 1/3 will be safe spots for the heads that were donuts for the last part, and 2 will be safe spots for the other 2 heads.

The rings rewind the heads. One ring : last position, 2 rings : second position, 3 rings : first position.
The middle head always cleaves two other heads, making only 2 safe at any given time
Knowing that, look at the middle head. If it points to you : If the head to your diagonal is 1 or 3, move there, else move to the other safe head.
If it doesn't : if your head is 1 or 3, stay put, else go to the other safe head.

Ya. It won't be an insta-kill, but there's a lot of damage going out during that phase, so it's basically guaranteed death unless a healer helps you specifically.

I'm of the opinion that these are 3 mostly separate events. Haurch lived, Thordan was able to succeed in absorbing the triad, Hraes is neurolinked and helping Nidhogg, and the latter 2 events aren't necessarily because of the first one. It's the simplest explanation. I'd be glad to hear an interpretation from the writers though.
