for the astral flow i would suggest solving things in this order :

Exaterikos > Find the next place of a bird > Make sure you don't get fired > Avoid Snakes

Snakes are last cause they won't kill you even if misplaced

Exaterikos can be solved even before the Astral Flow (direction of the rotation) so it's easy to do it first

once the direction of the rotation has been decided find a bird and make sur to avoid the fire line (either by standing behind it if you're next to it, or 90° + a tiny bit to avoid it)

Are DPS filters in PF (e.g. RPR/SAM only, 2 melee 2 ranged etc.) overkill for the EX trials? Finding it really hard as a NIN main trying to join a pug for farming when most people are only letting in specific classes. I can understand RDM/SMN for Rez utility but I feel like as long as you know the mechanics you should be fine to clear with any class pretty easily.

EW monk lost a good amount of complexity in terms of their positionals.

They now only have Demolish and Snap Punch as their Rear/Flank positionals. All the other main GCD skills lost theirs.

Your main 'complexity' is now from using Perfect Balance to get Beast Chakras and the Solar/Luna Nadi from using specific sets of GCDs in Perfect Balance

3 GCDs of the same stance, like Dragon Kick > Bootshine > Dragon Kick, lets you use Elixir Field, which opens up the Lunar Nadi.
3 GCDs of each stance, like Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch, lets you use Flint Strike/Rising Phoenix, which opens up the Solar Nadi.
Once you have both, the next Perfect Balance with any 3 GCDs lets you use Tornado Kick/Phantom Rush as a big finisher.

If you mess up your Perfect Balance and don't fulfill either condition for Elixir Field or Rising Phoenix, like if you did Bootshine > Bootshine > Snap Punch, you get to use Celestial Revolution which is a weaker skill that opens up either Nadi.

1. Does getting hit by the beams charge the bar faster?
2. Is focusing one orb at a time ideal or is it alright to spread? Like if having more orbs affects the charge rate and whatnot

AFAIK, it's a static rate that doesn't change depending on the number of orbs alive

so the order/method you kill them doesn't matter as long as they die before the bar hits 100.

Feeling downright spiteful over how castrum in bozja always feels like an oversight.

On release? No one wanted to do it because no mettle gain
Now? No one wants to do it because no XP gain

Got two friends new to the content that I can't advance over into zadnor because no matter how I ask no one wants to run it

I always end up in this loop where I want to get someone new to the game through bozja so they can experience the content, and get glams or various other things out of it and castrum is ALWAYS a bottleneck

so far the biggest problem jobs for me has been MNK (fluid combos and remembering how to blitz) and NIN (double mashing mudra causes bunny, also moving during TCJ)

If you're going purely by maximum DPS-- sure. But:
1) Discrepancies in healing DPS are obviously smaller than those b/w DPS. You can do good damage on SGE, but all other healers are basically equal.
2) Not enough content out to know if two shield healers will be feasible, especially when Yoshi-P has said he wants to balance content around having shield/pure combo.
3) All #'s will probably be tweaked before 6.05, so it's not worth "adjusting" for some arbitrary healer meta that's tentative at best.

Hello, I'm on the Japanese server. Some friends said I need the gear that comes out on the same day to do the savage raids. If I'm playing with randoms will I really need it to clear?

pugging the tier will very likely slow your progression which will give you more time to get other gear like pandaemonium normal and astrology tomestone gear, the first 2 bosses on savage shouldn't have very strict dps checks, it's the (maaaybe) 3rd and definitely 4th boss that you will need to be geared for if you want to beat the enrage, so for week 1-2 progression of those you will want crafted gear

As this person said, you only need optimal gear if you're aiming to clear most content Week 1. If not, you probably shouldn't waste so many resources on getting the crafted set (and pentamelding it) ASAP. It's super expensive early on, and it's not worth it unless you have a specific goal in mind.

Sure. You can gear up with the new tomes (that will be released in 6.05) and the normal raid drops. Those should be enough for IL checks, and you can progress further with P1S or P2S gear.

and in JP server unless you are bilingual you will be stuck with EN party cause JP party will not likely to accept you

Also, if you want to feel the early week hype: You can prepare for the second, third, or fourth tier. It'll be easier to prepare for that vs. cramming it all in Day 1.
