It's hard to overstate the difficulty of ultimate

If you want to do one, it's a long-term goal

You need to clear the final savage floor of the tier just to enter

And people generally assemble teams of players that absolutely crush savage and take 60-100+ hours of progging to clear an ultimate

60 is really really fast tbh, most take longer

depends on how advanced you want the callouts to be, you can make very basic ones yourself just by entering the battle log line for some boss cast with whatever you want the TTS to say, or people usually post them on reddit so they should come up on google, if you want more advanced ones that use hex expressions or whatever like for the triggernometry plugin then people share those in the trig discord

Some people like going a good bit faster--the high sps set is all the way up at 3.7k. And of course, anywhere in between those is plenty fine and used (and even lower sps than 2k is fine)

i would recommend going for practice for memoria misera. You will learn to read tactics macro and to position yourself. also 480 gear with 5 materias is pretty good. To unlock it you will have to do relic weapon chainquest (if you havent done it, go asap. when i did it i waited like 2h for each needed duty, but now as they give moogle tomestones queues are bearable). Then i would recommend e5s practice as Ramuh is not that chaotic. Just watch guide videos and make party stating practice from start 🙂 Welcome to raiding family!

the 2000 is the total amount you can store, the 450 is the amount you can earn in a week

BLM in raid is the same as BLM anywhere really. It's mostly a bit of practice in remembering your movement abilities and making good use of them as you go. The rest is just maintaining the rotation you would normally have, with as few concessions as possible.

Go in and try to use stuff on cd (while weaving) same as you would on a dummy. If something doesn't seem to work on a pull, try to determine if you could have done something differently to keep uptime there, and just little by little, make adjustments. Thanks for the input. I was paired with 4 people who've cleared ultimate yet they kept dying to stupid shit in e6s for an entire lockout. And it dying to "stepping into death walls, zones, and aoes" rather than screwing up mechanics. We hit enrage at ~15% way too often and I was second highest personal dps as a 50th percentile DNC.

The problem is right now is not an optimal time to sell for large gains due to being so late into patch, but when the next patch drops that's when best time to sell is for materia at least. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights

you can buy i480 high quality from the marketboard too and you're basically set but it can cost you most of your gil

Greetings! I am wondering how difficult is Eden Savage compared to Memoria Miseria Extreme.

I finally managed to get a full set from Memoria Miseria, but it took me a long af to actually get the hang of it. Basically, I think that might be my upper limit for what I can handle.

So if I struggled with Memoria Miseria but eventually could get the hang of it (still make occasional mistakes, but good enough to finish in 2-3 attempts), would I realistically be able to compete in Eden Verse Savage? Or should I skip that one?

it's about e5s difficulty but making mistakes in savage usually kills the whole party and not just you, like it does in extremes, so you could try some e5s for accesories, but e6s is slightly harder (and with people sucking at mechanics the dps check can still be an issue with PF) and e7s e8s are way more difficult

I just started a little more than a month ago and unlocked E5s for endgame equips and have no prior experiences with raiding. Heavensfall can be a bit of a wall if people are bad at counting

Tenstrike has a long tail in terms of getting it down consistently because there are edge cases and you need to just learn how other people generally react to the earthshakers for best results

Octet is just really hard to do consistently

And adds are extremely difficult and need to you do those other prog walls consistently

So basically Heavensfall is a wake-up check and you can start seeing occasional adds pulls fairly quickly but you'll probably spend a lot of time on cleanup at that point

And Golden should go down in a few pulls but some people are just hungry for exaflares

When making a group for Ultimates, you should really focus on people that grasp mechanics easily, not just people that are good at their jobs.

If you have to break down every minute detail to someone, that person isn't mechanically sound and should not be in Ultimate.

Hmm I think it's a bit...incorrect? To give a priority on the adds to burn down. It's more about planning out resources/damage on your side to make sure to kill things in time. Like let's say you're on the right side, you have the water + earth up. You keep focusing those even after the second wave of electrics spawn, since those are further in. Unless of course they're dead already.

Neither would I say electrics particularly have a high priority, since they have lower HP. Big hits can often one-shot them (or nearly so, that they only need a tap of damage past that to die). So it's not like you need to plan a bunch of damage to burst them down fast--it's often more a point to make sure to dump damage onto the aquas to kill them in time

but I know someone who cleared uwu in 60something pulls from fresh (with an experienced party) and a group that took 180 hours on TEA because they just couldn't do mechanics

I come from WoW so excuse my ignorance if it comes off that way. Why do so many statics go for 3-4 days? I can't imagine bashing my head against the same bosses 3-4 nights a week. I don't even recall in WoW a time in my hardcore experience having more than 2 nights and most wow raid tiers have more bosses (in some cases 2x-3x more)

I keep looking for a static possibly as mine might not work out, so I'm keeping my eyes/ears open, but I can't really dedicate 3-4 nights a week to solely raiding in ff14. Bit much but most of what want from a static only comes with those higher raid night count groups.

there are less randomness, but execution has to meet criteria of each mechanics or the party as the whole suffers alot

Since we face 1 single boss per floor and a boss fight is shorter, Mechanics come in higher frequency as well.

Boss mechanics are mostly scripted and set in stone, unlike the reactiveness of WoW bosses. So if you "progged" the tier, reclears will take shorter amount of time

an hour optimistically. Then its up to the static what you want to do from then on. Optimise more for better logs? Do Ultimate? Meme runs? min ilvl previous tier? or take a break until next tier?

so ther 3-4 days will last only X amounts of weeks (depending on party skill and cohesion) then eventually it'll last 2 hours for reclears. Then that will repeat for the next and tier after, etc.

8 people is much easier to coordinate, and each person has a much greater responsibility

that said, you should find a pace that everyone is comfortable with

I would recommend raiding at least twice per week though, in my experience you make a lot more progress on the second day than on the first because everyone gets a chance to "warm up" for the week

less than that and your progress is going to be very slow, more than that and you risk burn-out

Statics are hit or miss, slow or decent prog and you’ll be stuck with them. I prefer to pug and play at my own schedule

It seems I'm too far behind most statics and the nights don't work which is why I'm hanging on to this one so much, on top of an IRL friend in it and they seem like good people.
