It was lower numbers than now, BUT they increased the aggro overflow integer which makes the reason they had to do it no longer relevant for another 2~ expansions at current pace of gearing and assuming current potencies

The squish happened bc in bozja especially you’d run into scenarios where if the fight went long the tank damage was high enough that they’d overflow aggro and go back to zero, which is not ideal.

same reason wow's first squish happened. a heroic-only boss gained health when mistakes were made and it was possible to overflow it

And this game already has a lot of complaints about levelling taking a long time to catch up

If people put in 4 hours of msq and don’t level up that exacerbates those issues

Still think it’s funny how they told us that they increased the upper damage cap to 9,999,999 at ShB launch as future proofing. Then Bozja drops and WHM was breaking 11m with blood lily.

I ultimately think the odds of senior players quitting over level 110 or 120 being “too high it loses meaning” is not nearly as large as a game already criticized for its msq pacing slowing down its reward moments more

So they’re better off planning ahead to next stat squish, make it a level squish too, and let you start msq on that expack at end of the current arc
