To attempt to provide an actually helpful response: check to make sure your DirectX drivers are up to date, and also try disabling the DirectX 11 mode on your launcher to see if that helps things.
If neither of those change anything in a meaningful way, I recommend asking down in #952326072542847016.

also, getting a mount elsewhere, wont let you use it until you get teh chocobo first, as that unlocks mounting in general

i would work on getting all to level 20 or so, most of them work in tandem with each other as you will need some metal work here and some weaving there when making some stuff. And i think at level 20 is where you can take part in a thing that takes place after Heavensward that will give you a bunch of EXP for crafting and other goodies

but if the real issue is targeting, you should be able targeting your party members with f1-f4 buttons anyway

the issue isn't targeting; i play controller and so that's usually fine. the main things are that 1) it's just uncomfortable and 2) i can't see when the tank starts moving again once we clear the current pulled enemies and looking at the minimap for that is unintuitive.

but noted! if it bothers other players then i'll probably try to only use it with folks I already know and keep an eye out for clientside alternatives for if I run with strangers

Asking a tank in a random pug isn't going to help in the slightest. For one thing, they might not have a glamour with bright colors, and for another, there are almost guaranteed to be other people with flashy glams.

I personally don't really pay attention to where anyone in my party is when I'm healing, outside of just general positioning so I can be dead center (or close to it) for AoE healing purposes.
