This is extremely important advice for tanks that often gets overlooked. Just because you can take a lot of punishment doesn't mean you should take it on purpose, or take it without thinking.

Keep in mind that the animation itself doesn’t usually indicate the hurtbox. Once you see the AoE gone then you can move back into position even if the animation plays.

Getting the idea of this is helpful to learn early on

Coincounter's conal sweep AoE in Aurum Vale is a good spot to practice that idea on. You can safely move out of the way of the blow, and move back into position when he starts his swing animation, without taking damage and without him repositioning fairly simply.

The grade 2 ones can be macro’d, but need very good stats.

As an alternative, you can wait until Endwalker and see if Trained Eye works on them at level 90.

If so then the expert recipes will be SUPER easy to do.
