Each crafter relies on each other crafter for materials and gear, and on the gatherers for basic mats. Some good options are ALC and CUL but you'll start to see quickly that "shoot I need glue from ALC, and jewels from GSM, and gear from WVR and tools from BSM... etc. etc."

The ones marked with arent required, but they will unlock something. A new dungeon, new jobs, etc. etc. And so these are worth looking at.

Also all of your Class/Job related sidequests are mandatory. A quest with can be ignored.

soooo i was doing Titan EX and told the other WHM to use medica 2 to stack regen, so we could attack more and if we really need to heal, we just use cure and such. But they said no because double regen has no effect and to just spam cure 3. Is that true?

What do all these quest icons mean?

- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

How to get Dyeable Artifact Gear

A Realm Reborn i50/i55 set: Done in Mor Dhona by talking to Kakalan at x22, y6 after completing the quest 'Simply to Dye For' located at x22, y9. Augmenting a set of gear requires a total of 7 Augmentations matching the name of the set. Augmentations can be crafted or bought on the marketboard.

Heavensward i210 set: Dyeable upon opening up the coffer received from completion of your level 60 job quest. Should you have disposed of any particular pieces, they can also be bought directly with Centurio Seals in Ishgard at the Forgotten Knight by talking to Ardolain in the 'Exchange Centurio Seals (Advanced)' option.

Stormblood i290 set: Done in Eureka Anemos by exchanging Protean and Anemos Crystals with Gerolt to upgrade the set. Eureka is unlocked in Rhalgr's Reach with the quest 'And We Shall Call It Eureka' and is accessed in Kugane by talking to Rodney at x9, y14.

Shadowbringers i430 set: Obtained from Idealized coffers in the trial Memoria Misera (Extreme). They can also be bought with High Legatus Idols obtained from the trial in Mor Dhona by talking to C'intana.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

What does each skip do?

Tales of Adventure: <EXPACNAME> This item skips the story quests on the character you get it on to the end of the expansion listed. All the main story quests and aether current quests up to that point will be completed. It will not increase your character's job levels. Any MSQ rewards missed can be obtained at the calamity salvager or from the market board except the free fantasia, which is forfeit. You will also receive 10 silver chocobo feathers and 500k gil in platinum pieces.

Tales of Adventure: One <JOBNAME> Journey This item increases a given job to level 70. It will not skip your story progress to level 70. Personally I quite like the "level one X level them all" mindset, given that I main tank I always have an entire gearset for 4 tank jobs putting in 1/4 of the effort. Know what I mean? This leads to WAR, PLD, and DRK being super accessible to you, so PLD certainly would work.

I can see the affinity for Phys DPS so consider looking for MNK (shares SAM gear, ez) and RPR when it drops? As a tank main I somehow like playing casters better than ranged so I cant speak to BRD unfortunately. SCH is always going to be good though, might be quite fun for you and you get a bonus SMN for free that way.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.
