Yue - It is in a WAY. The First Devaluation happens at a fixed point, after that every six hours, and based on the size/location of the plot, there's a defined curve
So if you're on say the third devaluation, you know it's "at least" 12 hours old since it's had 2 devaluations since the first. The problem is if it went on the market 20 hours before that first fixed devaluation, it's 32 hours old. If it went on the market a second beforehand, it's just 12 hours.

You'd have to know the plot and it's curve. So the curve might say a Tier 4 small selling at X price means it's had it's third deval.

It's exceedingly rare for a house to go buyable within 5-6 hours, and prime time starts 8-9 hours in. So if you have a good idea of when the plot was vacated, you can just go there 8 hours in, and save yourself 8 hours of clicking.

Ok please help me understand command missions. People say they're great for xp and you can clear quickly but holy cow the AI is really bad. I have to mark every enemy with engage for the tank to actually notice them, all the squad members stand in every aoe damage and the healer can't keep up. Do they get better? Second, which may explain the first, I'm trying to understand why Black Mage has one of the biggest damage ranges. The percentage of players who do Savage in XIV is a fraction of the percentage of players who do Heroic or Mythic raiding in WoW.

The total number of parse uploads doesn't matter, does it? Except to ensure you have a good sample size (I think tens of thousands is pretty good?). The differences are all relative. The only way the relativity would matter is if one Job is uploading parses much more than another, and I can't see a reason why that would ever happen.
I know it doesn't represent the whole population of a job, but it does represent the differences in popularity between jobs.

No, you don't need to use IE to download the client, you just need to have the most recent version of IE installed on your computer.

Honestly the IE thing is all I can think of outside of what you'd already tried. You can try going down to #technology-discussion and seeing if anyone there can help. They're generally a little more technically-minded.
