Thanks for pointing this out! Without going into too much detail, this is a holdover from early in P11 back when Runes first dropped. DE themselves categorise the existing runes as 'common', but since this doesn't actually reflect on in-game stats or rarity in the same way it does for items, I'll look into removing it now for clarity 💚

For future reference, rarities DE give their items don't always correspond to farming difficulty either (though Totems are a nice exception!) - for that you want to look at their actual drop chances (i.e. percentage change from RNG) and those are something we either need DE to release the Public Export for, or need a lot of repeated testing to land on reliable rates! Hopefully something the community will know in the future

I think it'd be technically possible but Oreo's been very firm on wanting to keep LG as a lightweight tool to help the user enjoy their Soulframe experience more, and to never have it cross the line into debugging or collecting game data etc. No data leaves the player's computer, so to do something like that would require setting up some sort of opt-in game-data sharing thing which is out of the app's remit

Phwoar this is a good question hahaha, I'm not 100% sure myself but I think the prevailing belief is that they do provide the exact stats shown on their tooltips, but that they don't scale right now (maybe an intended feature but it's bugged)

The latest update on them was from Preludes 12 Hotfix 1, where DE said they had implemented scaling and VFX - but when players tested them, this wasn't yet the case in-game:

Oh I tell a lie, the last update we got on these was actually from P12 Hotfix 6. So yeah all in all, I think they've had a bit of trouble getting their code to behave for the time being

Okay so I'm now getting reports from someone in the wiki discord that they can sometimes see damage increases getting applied in their inventory after killing agari in cogah with one of the talismans equipped - but that going into Nightfold will sometimes cause a visual bug where it doesn't appear! 😭 Maybe that's what happened to you as well?

I guess testing actual damage dealt against barrels or unarmoured mockeries is one way to find out, but the tough one might be creutair which gives +stagger rather than +attack

Founders would bring 6 weapons and 3 pacts, which could make up the missing level.

The codex, as far as I know, doesn't contribute to MR, so you don't need that.

Well, 1-2 can show up per location, per login. So you can relog to force spawn/respawn Motes, which works really well for completing locations fully before moving on, or if you simply can't find one of the Motes. (If you're having trouble finding them, a good tip is to turn up FX Intensity in Accessibility settings. And also remember that many locations the Motes can spawn in a rather large area, such as Kairness.)

And in case you haven't seen it yet, you can tell if 1 or 2 Motes have spawned for that location by looking above the location name when it pops up. You'll see a number of "pips" (filled in if they've been found, black if they're still missing, and there'll be 1-2 little floating quotation marks to designate how many Motes have spawned.)

Going by what's written on the wiki then Dewelion should max out at +120 bonus damage, yet it's currently displaying +126 damage

So wielding a rune felt kind of impossible, turns out it's probably because I didn't have enough charges.
My workaround was charming enough deer to get The Fleet and then equipping it so pull smite would automatically reset spirit ability cooldown. So I could then immediately spirit sight (q) and then charged attack (mmb) to use my rune.
Hopefully this helps someone else.

It honestly depends on the weapon and such, bows get smite easy (besides avex) flyblades can farm em out easy too

Well, let me help you make sense of this haha. Spectral Sight is what happens when you hold Q, and has no correlation with Spirit Abilities. Spirit Abilities are simply your second (green) ability, so that specific totem refreshes the cooldown of your Spirit Ability when you pull smite.

There is a totem, however, that increases your Smite Chance, which is generally considered the best option since you want to be able to get rune charges.

And to add, because a lot of people are confused about it, but if an enemy is smited on the hit that it dies, or after death, pull smite will not actually give you any rune charges (or count towards journal entries, or proc synergies with Pact Arts, etc.)

It does seem like rune drops from chests while in Cogah are lower than normal mode. It might have something to do with the weighting, as HP pots also drop very rarely from chests in Cogah, of course, and maybe runes were just thrown in with that. But I've still gotten them many a time.

Well, there's this thing called drop tables, and RNG lol. I've probably spent 20-30 hours in Cogah since they added runes to chests, and I can say I definitely noticed a distinct difference in the number of runes I was getting in vs out of Cogah.

Whoever it was told me about the mendicant king, thanks for the bossfight. That's the first open world boss fight I've found that was genuinely enjoyable from start to finish and I didn't even use the bell a whole lot.

There's also a bajillion mini script errors that pop up here and there. Cogah has plenty of them. I've noticed many times where elixirs don't expire or expire in 10 mins, bosses don't get harder, enemies spawn at normal or even lower levels, etc. etc. Whenever I encounter something like this that's uncertain whether it's a hard bug, or just a one off thing, I replicate the scenario a number of times and see what the outcome is.

Maybe there's a bug when doing Cogah in a party?

Theres a corner there where you can just fall underneath the water, and theres a sort of "cave" to your right that I'm looking back on here. In that cave, there is a point where the floor splits off and you can slip underneath the primary overworld floor, and onto a lower surface with collision. You crouch as much as you can , get past the box barrier , and rump-thump up from underneath the lower floor, and back up onto the primary overworld floor, and you're past the box barrier, and you can just sprint all the way to Inaccessible Island. This is the easiest it's ever been I think

Used to be that it would make you slow walk under the water, but for some reason you can just... sprint now. It takes like 3 minutes now instead of an hour or so

Btw, I'm not sure if it's universal, but I don't think being taxied to Inaccessible Island by someone who has it unlocked works. I tried it last prelude, and unlocked it after someone wevetseeded me there, but once I went back to my instance, it was gone and not on the map, even though I unlocked it while in another players instance.

If relog doesn't fix most visual bugs, try a game restart. If that still doesn't fix most bugs that it should, try verifying/optimizing the download cache in the launcher (gear icon in top right. Always good to do this here and there anyways, but takes a short amount of time.)

Unlocked by completing Orlick's little quests. Will uncover entries in the same way Motes do for POIs. Do note, you can only gain one entry per enemy, per login, even though it will show more than one, but it will reset on logout.

It's not actually an item, more of a passive unlock, so if you've completed A Grand Fable with Orlick then you already have it. Just need to charm animals and pull smite enemies and it will automatically start filling the entries out.

Polearms are very viable for focusing throws, especially with the Splitbolt Rune. You're going to want to get some decent points in Grace, though, to maximize your headshot dmg. Pretty sure there's some good stagger on throw/retrieve totems, too

They "patched" the bug making it require two frags, since it's only supposed to require one, but sounds like there's some alternative issues with it now. My only thought would be to replay the Tormented Stag and see if that fixes it. (Or whichever the fable is that first sends you to a tree and Nimrod is there for a split second.)

Vadagar Bear/Stag can spawn in corrupted zones at night time. You can avoid the encounter just by not getting too close to the circular pool of bubbling goop, which will cause it to pop out of the ground.

Well, make sure the pool of goop isn't close to where the wizard spawns. You need to get like 5 or 6 steps away from it for the bear to pop out.

If the agari isn't there, you may need to leave the area and then return, they don't like spawning if you're too close and the spawn might've been hogged, though that shouldn't happen.

There's also been a spawn bug reported at least once involving looking at votives and those despawning Agari.

So if you've touched a world tree recently that may or may not have happened.

Worst case, you wait a half hour for him to spawn again.

When you get enough fragments for weapons to craft them, the blacksmith should show you what the stats are on things, so you can compare before you craft to see which is even worth going for, if that's a part of the concern.

I would recommend going on the wiki to have a look at weapon stats to compare. Find the weaker ones first that you don't want to keep to level first so you can sell them and have slots for the stronger more fun stuff later. Those tend to take longer to farm for anyways.

Not sure how many people know or use this trick, but for anyone who doesn't. When you light attack in the air, you hover for that attack. You can kill fall momentum by doing this. So you can just negate fall damage. I use it all the time when getting around to bypass those big walls.

It's real simple, actually:

Armor: Gains 0.12 per pip, per virtue, with no cap, so the more virtues you have, the more armor you get.

Weapons: Gain 0.5 dmg per pip, per virtue, up to the Attunement Cap, which is 1.5 x Base dmg. Base dmg can be calculated by subtracting the Attack number in parenthesis from the total number to the right of it. So, my Purity has a Base dmg of 224 - 156 = 68. Take that, and do 68 x 1.5 = 102. So that means it can gain a total of 102 bonus damage from attunement.

For weapons that have at least 1 natural Grace pip (meaning not added by joinery), they also gain an additional ~0.3 dmg per Grace pip, per virtue. So naturally attuned Grace weapons mean you need a little less of that specific virtue to hit the cap.

With Joinery you can add up to 3 attunement pips, which allows you to hit the damage cap even easier, specifically if you're doing a hybrid build. My Purity, as an example, I put Thrice Blessed by Mora on it, that way I can have some points in Grace, but still easily hit the damage cap. I could have put Thrice Blessed by Saphene on it, too, but in that case it doesn't matter either way, still at dmg cap.

The only limitations are that armor/weapons have Attunement Requirements, which is the Courage symbol with 44/17, meaning req is 17 Courage, and I have 44. If you don't meet the requirement, you won't gain any attunement dmg. So even if I put Thrice Blessed by Saphene on Purity, I couldn't put all my points in Grace, because I still need at least 17 or my damage is reduced significantly.

for a normal palm, the mouse scroll wheel is positioned smack in the middle of a second phalang of the middle finger (assuming you're holding your mouse properly and it's the right size for your hand)

Seathorn is good with any spirit or grace build or a hybrid build if you joinery it correctly, the issue is that orengall is objectively bad compared to other pacts

It’s interesting that the Wolf pack scales with spirit I like that, you can get 4 wolves at once at 38 spirit which is cool especially since they take aggro

The wolves aren’t aggro enough orengall only attacks minions, and the wolf form ability is almost useful mid combat 🙁
