Sometimes you might need to relog if the quest bugs out, but generally it happens in the area you free Orengall

I make sure not to go to the spawn spot before it becomes night. I don't know if that makes a difference.
But I went to mendicant knight stag spawn a lot. And the rest of the time I went to the bottom right of the map

It sounds like they're gonna add a vadagar bear(?) so that might affect spawns of the stag? But that's just speculation

is there any way to adjust performance settings beyond "Let Windows Choose" in the launcher? game crashes my pc after maybe 15 minutes of play and even after verifying and optimizing the cache it will either crash to desktop and then make my entire pc go black when i'm trying to fill out the crash log, or just freeze and then make my pc go to black. i've had to force restart my pc more than 3 times just trying to get past the tutorial 😔

Even when dodging most attacks, I still get one-shotted by enemies and I only do very little damage (maybe I'm just bad xD), but I don't understand. My weapons and pacts are level 30. Do you have any tips or is it just a matter of skill?

Make sure you spend all of your virtue points, your health increases with every point spent.

Fire buffed bannerets will one shot you, I don't think armor functions correctly against their attacks.

The dodge window is fairly generous, but you may need to work on the timing for dodging/rolling through attacks. You're invulnerable while dodging/rolling, and enemy tracking seems to be very strong so you can't really rely on positioning to avoid their attacks.

If you have Oscelda, it's healing ability is very helpful for practicing dodging/parries.

Yeah, the banners are totally destroying me, I'm trying to play the paragon sword right now but I need to upgrade it. It's a bit better with the bow because I'm playing from a distance. I understand the dodging system and I agree that I need to improve my parries; I haven't quite got the timing right yet

The totems that extend parry windows, and certain weapon arts nodes for parrying heavy attacks/increasing parry windows also help a lot.

A lot of high level enemies have a lot of armor and kind of require you to charge heavy attacks to do damage

For being able to survive more, make sure you max out Everbound in your pact tree

You can also try to get some better armor for most enemy encounters, bannerets are just over tuned for now.

that's just you getting hit. the 2nd ability detonates on every instance of damage while also making it hard to see, so you might be getting hit extra. Things like getting set on fire by a boss banneret will make it detonate a lot

So yeah, you do actually take damage on the grace skill cast, but only if you close by when it impacts an enemy it seems. It seems to do no self dmg when cast at far off targets. Might be a bug.

Anyone else feel like Sword Bannerets are kind of too strong? They have really fast multihit heavies with insane tracking, the really fast arm swing that interrupts your attacks, and can close gaps insanely quickly. Not sure if skill issue or not but they seem like by far the scariest enemy

It's a quest item for that specific tale. It's likely that item will disappear if you abandon that tale or simply not work on the cage. Either way it's just better to use it in the tale cause you're gonna find tons more cages that can be unlocked vs not.

Apparently I can use this to measure distance!

Warframe does not allow pinging other players though so it's very unlikely that you can place a waypoint onto another player in soulframe.

Typically DE does the content in having many things to do throughout many different activities to acquire all of those things. Because Soulframe is still in Alpha it hasn't built up that same variety of content that Warframe has to really build on that style of gameplay loop. It does unlike Warframe have challenge based activities as primary content that will make up for it though as time goes on.

Generally, I wish DE would invest in more creative and or multitasking aptitude based gamemodes in Warframe because if you don't really have anything to grind for, you are upgrading or theory crafting your stuff in some way. If not, then the content generally remains stagnate as most of the gamemmodes are just simple variations of each other that don't play on any unique or challenging mechanics that are not just debuffs and stronger enemies.

Comparatively, Soulframe for lack of new and interesting toys has challenges and for Warframe it has creative and entertaining toys but for lack of content to apply them to in unique ways.

more weapon damage is the main benefit, yes, so generally you'll want to focus your virtues on your weapon damage until the weapon damage no longer improves (since weapons have different attunement caps)
however, pact arcanics (abilities) do also benefit from virtues.
if an arcanic benefits from a virtue, each virtue does the following:
Courage - Ability strength (e.g. more ability damage)
Spirit - Ability duration
Grace - Ability range

note that a virtue rework is inbound and DE hopes to drop the rework after the upcoming devstream, so all this is likely to change by then

you can reforge it with a Blessed joinery if you want, which acts like a Polished joinery except it also resets your weapon level (like forma) and changes which virtue the weapon scales with
in general though you can manage just fine without using any Blessed joineries (Polished joineries have just-as-good stat increases), and with a virtue rework coming it's likely better to save your Blesseds until after the rework drops
