You're fine you can reset your points whenever you want for free font stress it and try to play around it how you like!

She can also brew potions that give you a one hour Virtue boost, the recipe comes from the 3 Factions for each Virtue

And once ranked up she makes the Cogah potion which enters hard mode

Courage = ability damage

It transmogs the slot. If you swap in a better item in the future you will still see the transmog graphic

But you can also "un-bestitch" for free as well, meaning you can use the default graphic or the transmog on a new item without spending another thread

well as an oscelda the lack of transmog diversity is definitely not what the game is lacking. something to avoid being stunned/staggered 90% of the time, getting smashed in the face because every enemy's heavy attack is faster than mine, the inability to move while heavy attacking, and the complete fecklessness of light attacks are probably items that would deserve attention first before I think about transmogging my green pants to blue or whatever....

No the slot itself. If I transmog a helmet then get a better helmet later and put it on I will see the transmog skin. I do not have to spend another thread to make my new helmet look like the transmog.

It only doubles courage, if you're using a courage weapon you can allocate the other points in your offhand weapon virtue or viceversa of you want

And take it slow, the content story wise is very short

If you follow the bird blindly you may end up frustrated and confused why it feels like you're going in circles.

After a certain point the bird just takes you to repeatable bounties.

Fenn’s Undercity encounter is basically everflame before runes. its actually pretty fun

I like the Igna Mora. it has decent parry and riposte capabilities and reliability

Thoughts on Secondary Weapons? Right now, secondary weapons feel largely irrelevant to me, with one big exception: flyblades.
Most secondary weapons don’t feel worth swapping to in active combat.
Their damage and utility don’t justify interrupting primary weapon flow.
Because of this, they end up feeling like “dead slots” rather than meaningful choices.
Flyblades stand out, though, because: They continue to orbit and deal damage while you’re using your primary. They provide passive pressure instead of forcing a weapon swap. They create extra opportunities for Smites, which gives them real mechanical value. Because flyblades work alongside your primary instead of competing with it, they feel like the only secondary that meaningfully impacts gameplay right now. Curious if others feel the same, or if I’m missing strong use cases for other secondaries.

u can also play with short blade for flitsmoke and then focus on primary after smiting, as long as fight goes u stay invisible and can have 2nd smite lets say on great sword. Is this more efficient than flyblades? No, but while we re in preludes then we should try couple things, not focusing on meta no matter what. Meta is flyblade, no doubt about it. But u can try what i suggest and see if u find that fun.

Im often going between main and offhand, specially if I've got a melee main, I'll have a ranged offhand and vice versa. Works for me coz then I can range if needed, and then get in face and smack

But yeah just go out into the world. Look for these big dead white trees and they'll unlock parts of the map that you can see. Because if you're just starting out then I guarantee you that most of it is probably going to be hard to figure out where everything is without the map

If the enemies are too strong and you die a lot, then it's probably a sign that you shouldn't go there yet LOL that's just kind of how it was starting out for me

So if you’re missing a cutscene, that’s because you probably A. Didn’t get it as you were not host, B. Not on that stage of the quest in your world or C. Maybe it slipped your mind lol idk

Armour in SF is a Flat Damage system, so if you do the damage calculation for Garren and then see the dmg is does to enemies, you know how much armour they have

For example, if you do 100dmg and they have 30 armour, you do 70dmg. So the math is probably correct, just gotta account for it

it's just a visual issue. under the attunement it still shows you that you require courage to use it and it says attune to courage under the jointary description

Honestly all the magick weapons are good depending on what you’re going for. Like the sidearms are amazing if you max attack speed and dish out more damage is shorter time than the staves

The reason for this is because Paragon has a smiting mechanic where it charges up the gems by +40 flat dmg per gem, so you can potentially get up to +120 dmg. Plus it scales up to 42 courage compared to 36 for purity. Is it better? No, but is it adjusted for “balance”, sure.

And honestly, it’s more of a sidegrade than anything. Plus a higher smite chance in general

Yes because you’re basically only doing the host’s quest but I can see the confusion there. You’d only keep the pup once you completed it when you’re host, so if you did it first, you were just switching pups the long way lol

so what I found is if you join a friend that HASNT done the she wolf ques, it will make your pup disappear from the nightfold

and then you run thru the quest with them as if ytou need it but you dont

and then it makes you choose your pup just the same, etc. But in reality you already did it

theyre called motes, each location with a scrambled name has 3 motes to collect to reveal the name and history (history part is in your journal)

Charge rate and stagger damage totems are your best friends while using a bow. Also make use of the alt fire (Middle mouse button) for AOE. You will be using it a lot.

If you ever want to reforge it, not that the current game needs you to, then Polished Quicksilver gives you an overall increase to everything without changing the attunement
