Yes, by rarity 3 I mean high rarity.

Cus we have no official names for them considering they don't really follow bronze, silver, and gold.

Being uh, wood, white and purple, and then gold kind of.

Though I suppose it can just be called common, uncommon, and rare.

I just divide them into different tree shades. Oak, Ash, and then Gold because there are no gold colored trees

I simply charm every rabbit I come across, until DE maybe switches up the colors.

Rabbits will appear silverly, it isn't a stark white.

Rare animals will have a silvery tinge that rabbits at base do not have.

It is much harder to distinguish from far away though.

I'd say they even look glossy when rare.

My graphic settings are maxed out, but it's still hard to see the silver from the snow when they are running

Big issue for me is when I use soul vision to spot them and start chasing them I get close enough to start the charm only to see it's not a rare one.

But oh well, more dust can;t hurt.

They have shortened the time you're trapped in animations a lot.

If you pick it up and see 3 nodes, you can drop it and start moving immediately now.

Instead of having to wait until the animation stops and lets you move again.

Smiting temporarily unequips both weapons in the game's eyes, and xp is based on what you're holding at the time of kill.

Thus, no weapon xp is given.

In case you need the terms btw @broken creek , it's Spectral Sight (the vision you get whilst holding Q), and then Smite/Soulsteal (the action of pulling the soul or absorbing something)

smite is technically a stat/proc, like crit chance, so more of a combat-specific term

I think that's just him being highlighted by your vision, it doesn't mean he's been smited yet. Did you read the guide I sent you? #gameplay-discussion message Specifically this part:

every strike against a foe has a percentage chance to Smite the enemy - to set their soul visibly ablaze. Spectral Sight does not need to be active to see a Smited soul.

Once an enemy is Smited - i.e. their soul has begun to glow - the Envoy may use Spectral Sight + Light Attack to Soulsteal the enemy, dealing significant damage and inciting other effects based on the player's chosen build.

Melee is still very powerful when you use the right builds, but ranged is just easier. So typically it's easier to get a good result with ranged than it is to get a good result in melee

There's a lot of stuff that works well, typically it's down to player preference, but in general a powerful melee build might look like:

• A powerful polearm, such as gathannan, maxed at rank 30 and with virtue capped
• A polished or blessed joinery on the polearm
• Armour reduction and attack speed totems (with a rune that gives offense slot)

Melee in general is pretty good once you A: Learn how to space and time your attacks and B: Learn how to throw.

Against stuff like Nimrod I always fall back on the power of yeet cus melee is unnecessarily risky.

Enemies are pretty universally predictable so most combat can be steamrolled by backstepping and spacing charged heavies.

Learn the lunge distance of your attacks and make use of it.

Charged heavies and throws are also just my general bread and butter as a couragemaxer, as both scale past attunement cap.

Only weapon I'd call generally bad for melee right now is mainhand Short Blade.

Damage aside, the moveset is genuinely awful. I tried leveling Tines up again just to keep one around and I gave up cus I couldn't sit through using it.

None of your moves have any reasonable lunge and the vast majority of your attacks whiff unless you start swinging while practically already kissing your target.

Literally every other grip type can wreck in melee once you get the combat down.

Including sidearm Short Blades.

Melee is just fine, it's just a game of learning and managing distance and timing.

You can still pull off incredible damage with it.

In terms of a good farm, I think it's the kind of thing you'll generally pick up a lot of whilst doing other content, grinding for specific fragments etc. But running big ode encampments or collector events, sieges maybe, will probably be quite fast

For Torrent, the damage doubles from 30 to 60 per arrow in the arrow hail. It won't update itself in the description though. That's a UI error for now. The damage also won't go above 60, so I would suggest you only upgrade it once for now.

I use a pretty generic setup. In defense it's just +armor of your choosing, in utility you want +smite chance, which can be generic with Squirrel or on perfect throw with Duck if you throw spam with a Short Blade for instance, and for attack I always use attack speed and some kind of armor pen or reduction.

You know, I think the worst aspect of the game world right now is that the world is pretty but shallow.

The dungeons are all stitched together RNG rooms, the towns have nothing but generic NPCs and trash mobs. In a world like this there is nothing that compels me to explore once I unlock the base functions of the game. No real lore, no stumbling onto some deep conspiracy, or even just helping a lady out with a cat in a tree. Just tons and tons of trees and grass and soulless NPCs in a town. Nothing is ever discovered.

Worse yet, the devs seem to want me to see it, and not just teleport to my boss encounters. I really hope there's something to do out there in the future or I don't see myself sticking around

Per weapon is the big one. If you can also show values through the upgrade process and cost of upgrading and such that would all be useful (more so as the game grows).
Ultimately, having a "character builder" would be the best approach. So people can select a weapon, have the skill tree for that, then pick the reforging item, and totems and runes for that weapon. Then select the gear loadout and have it total up materials and tell you which bosses you need to farm, etc.

Thank you, I think I am explaining it wrong. I went to the nightfold and equipped the Igne Mora. I unsheathe it and it is molten and glowing. I throw the sword, for fun, and recall it. When I recall it, the molten glow is gone and does not come back. I was wondering if this is a gameplay thing or a weapon visual bug?
