Hi, I just picked up the game a few days ago and there is one thing I cant find a answer to anywhere. When i do the flute minigame there is sometimes a "note" that dont match any of my keybinds. im guessing this is some "special" note. Could anyone tell me what to do/press for this note ?

Staff is good to begin with because Orengall is a spirit class and the staffs are spirit weapons naturally. Also you can fight safely at range while your wolves tank. You can use anything really though.

Orengall's best general setup is a Mora'd Bow and high Courage. The wolves have a base duration of 242 seconds and really don't need the extra Spirit. Howl likewise can hit 100% uptime even at base duration. Charged shots from a bow are one of the things that scale past a weapon's normal attunement cap, however, so they still get a boost from Howl doubling Courage no matter how much you already have, and the wolves are good for peeling attention away from you when you're at range.

Less effort, more speed, same effect, everything dies near-instantly.

Etheldred is largely just looking out for certain attacks, Nimrod you get to practice throwing your weapon at his face. There's a reason that yeet is a standard part of our kit, Nimrod ain't really worth trying to engage in melee. If you're having trouble with Etheldred, or any boss for that matter, yeeting your weapon at them is always an option.

Throwing your weapon isn't giving up on melee, it's just a part of your kit that you should use.

Also why you should always get the perfect throw node on every weapon.

It just also has zoom, making blocking in melee a little... disorienting at times.

Arbearer's is sort of a 4th member of that best armor group, but its chest is oddly lacking.

So 2/3rds of the set are top tier.

Chest is about halfway between a 2 and a 3 star.

I've considered Arbearer's as a bow user, using a couple of +15 magick armour totems (one on bow, one on sidearm) to complement it. Because a bow totem for physical armour only does +9.

They kinda are? At least, maxed is necessary for harder difficulties. But to get to maxed you have to do lower difficulties that are less rewarding. So once you get far enough leveling becomes a chore cause you have to go re tread low lvl stuff when you want to do high lvl stuff. At least that’s my experience

don't worry about those too much, they're the fast travel currency currently in the game, you need to have verminia unlocked and do the bromius questline, at that point you get a little plant in your nightfold that you can harvest once every 24h for 1-3 of those seeds

they're not "exclusive" in the sense of something like warframe login rewards

The map is small as is, limiting the fast travel makes sense, otherwise you very rapidly threaten making traversal utterly obsolete and pointless to add things to the map.

Going from bottom left to top right still only takes about 8 minutes at its longest.

Im really enjoying the game, honestly if it keeps improving ill prefer it to warframe eventually as I prefer the slower style and our characters feeling more vulnerable, in warframe with a half decent build you are practically unkillable

The same isn't, and never will be, true for Soulframe.

Like light bows, heavy bows, longbows, etc.
I’d love to run a heavy bow that busts enemy armor into fragile pieces, so the team can jump in and finish them with quick, clean slashes that cut through skin and even bone.

I’m so hyped, this game already feels like it has endless decisions to make when it comes to builds.

Had a question regarding SnS Rune Durglint if anyone apart from me (as far as I know cuz the SnS Slander lately has been rampant 🤣) has been using it;

Durglint doesn’t work as described in the description, where it says it’ll work with a “Parry”. it’s a continous beam which is basically a “charger” of sorts. The more you hit an enemy with the beam, the more it stores a charge.

When you hit an enemy with the beam at least once, it stores a charge on the next hit that lands on an enemy (whether a shield throw or a sword hit). The damage feels like it’s almost as good as Tethren’s Fellust but u can kill Bannerets with 2 or 3 charged hits instead of waiting to get to the 6th hit in Fellust for big bonk damage.

My question is; **the charge effect only seems to work if I’m hosting, and it doesn’t work as much if I’m in another player’s world. Is this intended or a bug? **

The Founder Packs come with "Wyld" versions of the 3 starters, if you buy Wyld Sirin you'll be able to use "normal" Sirin, Oscelda and Tethren regardless

I have 4 World tress so far - I am doing these mission for Alca, but they seem to gain the Alca XP suuuuper slow. I play a crap load of music for animals and the little totems on the tree stumps. I have made a couple weapons in Nightfold. I explore cave after cave, destroy mobs, kill bosses when I come across them. I have the same noob armor I started with. Only have gotten the one blacksmith elder chick... I am a Lvl friggin 2 - at least thats what it says in my inventory tab. I have materials out the wazoo... I am kinda just lost where to go.

So I completely don’t understand the melee in this game. What am I missing? I have 3 3* items with 22 physical defense totally, around 200 hp, depending on weapon can get 15 more from rune, but most lvl 30+ enemies just kill me in 3 attacks (and the way it happens, most of the time it’s staggering series of attack, or multiple enemy perma-stagger me if I didn’t dodge, and Nimrod just kills in 2 attack series if I step close to hit it with melee), and I have no clue how to play non-bow weapon. I just leveling various pacts and only reason why I can kill 30+ lvl enemies because Garren Rood pack third skill one-shots most non-boss enemies. And if I try to fight with enemies in melee I getting hit randomly and die immediately. What am I doing wrong?

My suggestion is to use the Pact abilities to try to divide the enemies and go after the more squishy ones first, lowering the number of enemies should give you some breathing room.

Which makes melee pretty much useless in this game. You just switch to your fly blades and get it over with. It's really no point currently to waste time with melee when ambushed by a large enemy group or taking one on for that matter.

i don't think that does anything at the moment. runes don't "recharge" at all.
