Outside of a supportive line AoE, Garren is just a stun spammer.

Behest into Torment for one bigger hit that also heals you.

The playstyle boils down to something very basic.

As opposed to Oscelda and Mora's Hand which are a good bit more technical.

I mean, all my pacts look like this lol.

Sympathy for heals, Voided for the massive smite damage usually guaranteeing a oneshot and some good boss damage.

Then all three virtue nodes, then an extra level in whichever passive I like more.

The smite nodes and the moar stats nodes just pull more weight.

Only thing I'd even consider changing is pulling the 3 out of Voided for another level in the chosen passive.

Or 2 to put them both at level 2.

But I like hefty smite damage.

I think it affects potions? Maybe other sources of healing?

But really Sympathy is just all you need in that category.

So long as you don't constantly take damage, and lots of it.

Sympathy is, after all, a guaranteed full heal.

Healing 100% of your HP over a set amount of time.

Which also insulates you against damage for a bit if it activates when you're not literally right next to dying.

Cus it can heal you from, for instance, half HP twice.

It doesn't end early when you hit max HP.

I actually hopped on to craft a copy to level later cus of you pointing this out lol. I don't care about collecting everything so I've just kept A: Everything that my build can use and B: Doesn't also have an objectively better version.

And since it can be argued between Witan and Cobladh, given the latter has slightly lower base but the special smite mechanic, it'd be a case that I'd collect both, though I can't get rid of Cobladh anyway.

Lol. I'd put it in the same pact category as Oscelda and Garren Rood in that it's very casting-centric. Many pacts have a 'main' arcanic and the other two are more for utility, or are at least less interactive. That trio goes against that in that you pretty consistently use all three arcanics at about equal rates and none are really situational.

So you kind of just sling all of them, pretty much all of the time.

Though Garren Rood boils down to a line AoE to cover yourself or crowd clear and then stun spam.

Mora's Hand is a bit more combo-y. Your first arcanic is just free damage, your second insulates you against combos while also activating your damage from fire passive. Your third is a snipe skill that can both ignite a crowd for some CC or do more damage on a target already ignited, so it's all really synergistic.

Also, btw, that passive giving more melee damage after taking fire damage or having your second arcanic active in fact affects all damage, and rather than this being a bug I think it's just the text that is old.

Fellust had the same effect vs text disconnect and they just changed the text after a while.

And it seems meh for a pact to only affect one style of weapon.

It is pretty powerful. I wouldn't say it's from a bug, may just be overtuned? Idk. It is reduced by armor as it becomes less useful in Cogah. At around level 80 is stops being useful against elite enemies and the entire stream will only do like a third of their HP.

I think it's more so that the heavy focus on it for any character that has similar themes can be a bit odd. Like, sure, Carmo has a finding themself thing, but that itself does not suggest suddenly 'trans'. It can hold up entirely independently and being or not being trans would not change the quality of the character. Then again, I am ace with extremely little attachment to gender at all, so I'm very 'from the outside looking in' in virtually every case to do with such things.
