So I’m a new intern, and the red team lead gave me the green light to do a bit of pentesting on my own. I found one of the client’s subdomains that allows self-XSS, but the cache doesn’t persist and the cookies are only from Google Analytics. The web also doesn’t have a CSRF token. You could test each ram stick individually to see if any of them are faulty (put a single stick in your motherboard, see if the system completes its POST, if it has a RAM error during POST then that stick is dead. You can find the error codes in your motherboard manual - usually in the form of lights or beep codes)

My understanding is that I am supposed to harvest the drivers from MacOS but ideally I would like to find them and be able to just add them to the Ubuntu installation or at the kernel level if I can find the files anywhere. I’m new too, but from what I know learn some OSINT and investigate your own email and phone number, to see how vulnerable you are. Other than that don’t use your primary email and phone number on sketchy sites, use different passwords, if your passwords were stolen then immediately change them. And use different passwords, use a password manager like bit warden. Hope I helped

The target would need to be hosting a service specifically providing remote access via web. You can't just go to an ip in browser and control something

Having the IP for a device does not automatically grant you any kind of access to that device
