no, you needed to update your package information list from your repositories.
Apt update.

It was pointed at an old URL that didn't exist anymore, because repositories are constantly changing.

Apt update is how you get what the changes are (new location for packages, new versions, new packages)

With debian-based systems, its not that bad to do this.
But Arch Linux specifically warns against just refreshing the package list, without actually upgrading your packages.

The outer double quotes (" ") in your PHP code don’t go into the SQL query itself, they just define the PHP string. When the string is built, it becomes plain SQL. So the important quotes are the single quotes around $username and $password in the query

No, only the SQL query is affected by the injection, not your PHP code. When you do something like:

$sql = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username' AND password='$password'";
$result = mysqli_query($conn, $sql);
the injection only changes the contents of $sql for example the query string sent to MySQL. Your PHP code after that still runs normally. SQL injection doesn’t skip over PHP lines, it just manipulates the query.

There is no solid way to check for rootkits, but there are some ways:

1. Monitor task manager
2. Monitor Resources Monitor
3. Check windows event viewer

In cmd, do the following scan --> sfc /scannow

Microsoft Sysinternals Suite also has something as 'RootkitRevealer'

Look for any reverse connections by this command: netstat -ano

Or you can try your luck by uploading it to VirusTotal.

You'd have to use usb pass through otherwise wifi doesn't work in a vm. Itll show up as ethernet.

The only way a usb wifi adapter works in a vm, is if you pass the usb port through. The host os won't be able to use it. The vm will.

that dumping data into an LLM, will not give good results back

when people make software that integrate with LLMs for processing, their code would be splitting up the json into smaller chunks or relevant data, and sending it with custom instructions to the LLM
Then you would re-build the data afterwards

like, chunk it better, get the AI to summarize small groups until you have that working reliably

its like you are unbuilding the data, then you have to rebuild it

Then my biggest recommendation is that its not ready yet.

I haven't tried too many self-hosted models (don't have the hardware for them), so I would hope using them would be as good as using the cloud one, just slower because hardware. But with ChatGPT5, i can for sure get the AI to summarize, but you are 100% right, where any hallucination can come out of anywhere, and they haven't figured out how to stop that yet.

This means that you can probably expect 50% of the time, it can give you wrong information.
