Linux is a Kernel, Tools get compiled to run on top of kernels. If you need to use a specific OS, then looks at tools compiled for it, or compile it yourself. Without a hypervisor, it can get annoying/hard to learn advanced networking concepts unless you get hardware instead.
"Hacking" is also a huge category with tons of subcategories, so without knowing what you specifically want to learn, its very difficult to recommend anything beyond #👥・new-member-guide

So i want to add 2 networks to be monitered by the honeypot
Is it a good approach to do a firewall rules and ip tables to redirect the traffic to the honeypot , eg , 192.xxx.xxx.0/24

This way the networks would be safe and just the traffic is being tested and monitered no ?
