Verify user accounts and check for unauthorized changes.
Enable firewall and check for unusual network activity.
Update OS and software to patch vulnerabilities.
Backup important files (avoid infected files).

Yo guys, I made a mistake and now I feel so bad. I accidentally downloaded a malware on my roommates computer, he asked me to download Adobe Premiere (cracked) and I downloaded a malware by accident. Then after 2 hours we both got notificstions that our microsoft accounts got compromised, we cant log in them, steam accounts also compromised, attackers sold most of our skins. A lot of other accounts compromised as well.

Are there any things I should do right now that could relieve the situation? Reset the router to factory setting? Or something

I can’t go in depths due to classification reasons, but my router gets speed hacked every day, someone stole over 176K files in my computer of coding projects and now i’m left with 22K of those. The hacker who hacked into my computer specifically told me that it was my router he was getting into, most likely due to my public IP, and i’ve heard of applications that can change your ip frequently so that people can’t keep access.
