@everyone Dear Chiefs, I am Johnny, the producer for "Viking Rise". In the blink of an eye, we are about to embark on another journey in a brand new year. I want to thank all Chiefs for your love and support over the past year. All our experiences - be it your passionate battles in KVK, or the cherished memories of everyone fighting side by side with their tribes - all these have made us even more determined to pursue our one goal, to make "Viking Rise" a game worthy of your long-term commitment and companionship.
As we bid farewell to 2025, we would like to share with you some of VR's content plans for the upcoming year.
In 2026, we will continue to expand on the core gameplay, focusing on: introducing a brand-new building and research system centered around the power of Dragon Crystal, rolling out new KVK scenarios to bring more variety to seasonal gameplay, creating fresh PVE content to enrich non-competitive experiences, and expanding the hero pool and skill system to offer even more lineup compositions and strategic possibilities.
In 2026, new gameplay and events will also be unveiled:
A new PVE mode, [Abyssal Cavern], is in development;
New KVK and GVG modes will continue to draw inspiration from the Norse legends, with the worldly serpent [Jormungand] heralding the ominous signs of [Ragnarök];
We will keep improving the player experience for events in the new year, adding more engaging content and giving free players more opportunities to participate;
At the same time, we’ve heard many players express interest in a Mount Skin feature, and we have already incorporated it into our plans. Please stay tuned!
Let me also address some of your frequent concerns:
Q: With the increase in the number of kingdoms, more players are inquiring about the migration system. Can migration become more flexible and convenient?
A: We will continue to expand the migration group sizes and further reduce Migration Pass requirements to meet everyone’s migration needs.
Q: Many veteran players have already completed all city research and construction. Will there be any further updates for city development so they can continue to progress?
A: Absolutely. We will continue to expand building and research content. New buildings and research will be presented in the form of Dragon Crystal power.
Q: Most critical Tribe permissions are concentrated at R5, which not only increases the burden on R5, but also makes Tribe management inconvenient. Will Tribe permissions be readjusted?
A: We have plans to reduce the management burden for Tribe leadership, including measures such as subdividing Tribe title permissions. Please stay tuned!
Q: The promotion of Ivor has delighted many veteran players. Will more low-grade heroes be promoted to higher grades in the future?
A: We have already planned a new batch of purple hero grade promotions. Stay tuned!
Q: Can KVK Might matching be fairer?
A: We will continuously optimize the matching in KVK by fine-tuning the various metrics, such as Kingdom Might, personnel composition, historical performance. We will also promptly address feedback from Chiefs.
Q: The Drill Ground has made battle simulation more convenient. Will the Drill Ground’s functions be further expanded in the future?
A: We are further optimizing the Drill Ground, including introducing more flexible team composition rules and buff/debuff mechanics. This will enable Chiefs to simulate battles more effectively.
Thank you to all Chiefs for your companionship and trust over the past year.
In the new year, we will continue to advance content and optimize the game. With your help, we will make Viking Rise even better!
I wishing all Chiefs a great time in Viking Rise.
See you in 2026!
