blunt weapon mastery faithfulness perserverence and theres one that lowers debuff duration, I like it bc it makes you able to run easier bc the ms slow on hit is a debuff and it makes faithfullness come back faster, but it can be substituted for the ale one for more damage, gear it's pretty much always a chapell and heavy or light gauntlets, I like to use turnshoes adventurer tunic and padded leggings and rest is just filling out your stats, you can go add mag to do more to high pdr classes but it only does damage with smite, so prob stick to add phys untill you get really good at saving your abilities, you only want to fight people with your abilities on otherwise you will die much faster and do way less damage, but you can sometimes get away with only having smite on, if someones running and you can hit them only use smite then if they turn use dp, dp has like a 50 second cooldown and only lasts 6 seconds, smite lasts 8 with a 20 sec cooldown so you need to be really carefull about cooldowns, always have space to run so you can wait for cooldowns
weapons you can use either morning star magic staff war hammer or quarter staff, flanged mace is just a worse morning star so don't bother, magic staff is good against plate fighters but really bad against good bards they just out space you bc you have no range, morning star has good range but only a 3 hit combo and swings the slowest of the 4 other than magic staff, quarter staff is harder to hit headshots and slower but has a 4 hit combo and pretty sure swings faster than morning star, war hammer swings faster than morning star and has 1 more damage than morning star 1 less than quarter staff, but has a tiny sweet spot with a 4 hit combo, swings fast but slightly harder than morning star to hit the sweet spot

ms is overall harder to stack now and casters will also be able to be faster while still having good knowledge, every class get's both better gear and better access to gear all around, fighters always had easier access to gear bc they can wear a lot more and still have a viable kit, while casters you kinda need add mag and a bunch of knowlege and ms, and you typically have low base hp so need to stack some too, it helps the classes that need more specific pieces more because usually those pieces are still less expensive than the meta ones for barb and fighter

Most half brain melees force casters into close range to where you’re flipping a coin and coming out alive out of skill your ms means next to nothing when you’re that close to someone. Door and doorer, hiding behind objects and pillars, only sorcs can safely push and that’s why they got nerfed 2 weeks in a row. Its harder for casters to get ms now than melees, many of their skills have ms baked into it

They dont seem overly fast to me. Not unless they do like sprint and adrenaline or breakthrough. But if they catch you, they might 2 to 3 tap you
